How to distance yourself from TOXIC people

how do you handle people in your life that are not honest or don't have the power to be real or speak up about the truth so she wants some swindlers yeah yeah yeah yeah how do you deal with swindlers well look if people aren't honest if they're not speaking up if they don't align with your core values at best man if we had a hundred years on this planet meaning you've got the right genetics by Mom and Dad you work out you eat right you keep a positive mental attitude you don't get hit by a car you might live to 100 years on this planet that is a short amount of time I mean I'm half almost a half a century old right now 48 years old and I realize what a short amount of time that is it is there's not enough time for me to stay around people that are negative toxic untruthful um misaligned with me I'm not going to be an [ __ ] to them but I am going to distance myself in fact Kevin my therapist um kind of taught me this this process he goes you need to eliminate negative toxic or people that are out of values with you eliminate them out of your life but if they're close family members then you might want to consider editing that relationship see them less see them for shorter amount of time talk about things that are superficial and not don't share your big exciting dreams with them if they're going to [ __ ] on it because they think that oh you're still a little bedross or you're still a little latent and you know what do you know about business you're not going to make it because you're going to get defensive about it you're going to leave their house angry and upset and you're not going to do any of your best work for the next two days right and so the bottom line is edit or eliminate these people out of your life because trying to change them is going to be an uphill battle that we don't have enough time to fight
