How to deal with a bad Chroma Key / Fix bad Green Screen Tutorial [After Effects]

[Music] hello everybody and welcome to freakin effects we're gonna show you today how to fix a bad chroma key like one of these that you can see over here how to deal with bad green screen and this is something really easy it's just a simple technique that I developed with this effect that you can see over here called color ranch or color ranch I don't know how to pronounce that so we will head right to our green screen footage as you can see maybe it doesn't look that bad and when we want to key it out use the key light effect it looks like at first like it's okay but when we put our black background we can see that actually we we have to fix a lot of stuff you know I just want to share with you guys this method that I say really simple and it can really help you out so the fact is this one color ranch or color range I have no idea how do you pronounce that we can drop it in our footage and first of all you would like to have the transparency on you know you don't want a black background and we will have to click on this button over here and select the color try to get it as close as possible to the character so something over there will be okay when I say that you would like to have your black background off is because now we have to get this second color the second bottom sorry and start getting out of all these stuff that we can see over here if we have our black on it will get the color that is between the green and the black but if we have it or Y if we have like with transparent background it will just take out the color so it's much easier to you know just having a better result and so it's okay we we can you know from time to time you know we can just put the black background to see that over here for example there's a little bit of noise also here okay a little bit more over here on the right I think it looks okay like that now we want to add a new layer and you soul it make it bright green like one of these and it's probably the method that everybody in YouTube uses for you know putting a green screen you know when when you see like I don't know dino sour green screen or car green screen this is a method that they use so what we want to do now is pre compose this some three key for example and now is when we want to use our key light effect and now we will totally get rid of the background you know and also this way something really cool is that it will keep the detail you know over of the hair over here you don't have to killer you can fix it a little bit maybe but no thang like 95 so that you know we can get rid of this stuff maybe a little bit more just like that or if your character doesn't move a lot you know you can just go like this and you have already done a really nice green screen that you know the method that is never bad to know it you know so I hope that you enjoy that you find this method helpful somewhere and I also hope that you subscribe a unlike if you have found this tutorial helpful and I really hope to see my next tutorials so see ya
