welcome to sawdust and wood today today I'm gonna teach you how to build an octagon so the first step is you're gonna need to cut 8 pieces of wood all to the same length I have pieces of 1 by 2 here you can use whatever you want to cut it and whatever length you want second thing you're going to need to do is set your miter saw to 22.5 on the settings now I want to give you an example of how I'm going to cut each piece so I'm gonna cut the angle at this corner coming down right here and then I'm gonna come to this corner and cut like this so the cut will be from the point of the board down and the point of this board down and we're gonna cut each piece like that alright so you want to take your miter saw set a zero and move it to 22.5 alright so let's get started cut the first piece then I'm gonna flip it and each piece needs to be cut like this the same way let's cut all the pieces and then we'll put our octagon together [Music] all right so I got all my pieces cut and just remember you cut when the board's squared like this cut the angle here and the angle here put your first piece down and from here you just put the pieces together and start assembling octagon this is the octagon assembled you just put every piece together said they might have saw 22.5 and you can't go wrong thanks for watching I hope you learn how to build a octagon today please like and subscribe and turn on notification button so you can see all of my new videos you want to thank everybody for all the good comments I'm over 7000 subscribers and the channel is growing daily thank you so much for your support have a great day [Music]
