how's it guys i want to show you how you can do a really nice looking lens flare light leaks transition in premiere pro it is super basic so let's jump straight in all right so i've got my footage here of some friends outside and then they're at the beach and then back to being outside again the point of a light leaks transition and a lens flare transition is that you need to match your footage light leaks come in different colors too so you have some warm light leaks some cool light leaks if it's indoors and it's dark and it's a bit moony and there's a lot of blues then you can throw on a cool looking light transition and it'll work if you throw on a warm one that is quite sparkly it just won't work so make sure that your light leaks match your clip otherwise it could look a bit strange on this one they're all sitting outside you get the feeling that there's sunlight and it's warm so i'm gonna make sure that i put a warm light leak transition over this so there are a bunch of free ones on the internet i can't tell you where to find them because they're actually i searched the other day and they're pretty hard to find some free ones but they are out there if you look what i use for my light leaks is something called inviter elements inviter is absolutely insane it'll change your life as a video editor what i'll do is i'll go to their website and search lightly they just have packs and packs and packs of the stuff i've already downloaded some i do have a video on invited elements and how amazing it is you can check it up out there or sign up at the link in the description but i've downloaded a bunch and i've got a warm likely pack and i'm just gonna take two or three of them and put them into my project like that easy as you like all you do is you drag them onto your project and let's just zoom in so we can see let's drag it in between our two clips let's play that is the likely that you see problem is it is black i'll show you how we can fix that but what you want to do is go to the point where the light fills the screen where it's the brightest so at this point i want to make a mark there so i'll click on my layer and i'll hit m on my keyboard and that's going to make a little green arrow and what we want to do is we want to line that point up with where our two videos connect so just like that i know that at the height of the light this video is going to transition and you can change the speed of this if it's too long you just right click go to speed and duration change it to 200 double the speed make sure our mark lines up and then all we do is we select it go to the top left here change our blend mode to screen and now if we play through it and it's as easy as that done guys if this was helpful hit the like button subscribe to the channel don't forget to check out the video on advanta elements you should get it it'll change your life i'll see you guys in the next video cheers [Music]
