hey everybody today I'm going to show you how to make some hamburger soup or as I was taught when I was in Boy Scouts Mulligan stew it's pretty easy here's two tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil in a pan and then I'm going to add one pound of 80/20 chuck okay now I'm just going to break this up in big chunks so I'm saying the reason I do this when I make this soup is I don't want all my meat just to cook down the nothing it's where do is just get in there like that write me some chunks okay and then once you get them Chuck's made you got to let them cook I used to cook about 10 minutes believe it or not without even touching on okay and I get an error and a stir them up real good because the object is to get all the meat nice and done okay oh yeah it's like that Mebane now all in little pink spots you want to turn them around and when you get them done drain them and then bring your meat back to the pot okay after has been drink all right there you go there's your meat back in the pot so what we're going to do now is we're going to add some goodies to this to make it taste good okay first thing we're going to do is we're going to add 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper okay we don't put salt in this till the end of it ok all right left and to that we're gonna add our veggies okay or at least most of them let's say that right there I added two potatoes one small onion and two carrots chopped up and what I'm doing here is I'm stirring them in that that pepper and that grease that's a little bit of grease that's left over in the meat trying to infuse a little bit of flavor into those spits okay now when I get them done that way I stir them around they're pretty good you know I'm saying hey now what I want to do is get yourself out of 14 ounce can of crushed Tomatoes okay that's all the made of product we'll be putting in these soup now get your spoon and stir that tomatoes up really good okay and now we're going to add three cups of chicken stock okay and two stalks of celery chopped stir it up really nice and bring her back up to a simmer and when you do that I want you to put a lid on it and we're going to cook it undisturbed with a lid for 30 minutes okay oh yeah bad bad to select that 30 minutes later see what you got a fast simmer or a fast boil now you won't take your lid off but for the steam now one of the things I forgot to do is add garlic earlier so we're going to add a tablespoon of granulated garlic right there okay now stir it in there really really good and then I want you to get yourself a knife and pull a piece of this tater out and let's check see if they're done okay come on we'll pull one out here and we're going to see if it's tender see how tender that one in there but it won't come off the knife really see if it falls off that means it's fork-tender your only and it won't yet so what we're going to do is we're going to have to cook it again for about 30 more minutes but in the meantime let's add one cup of corn and one cup of cut green beans and both those are out of a can and washed okay see I served them in that little strainer Worsham real good make sure all the salt and stuff that they put in it is gone ahh okay now so it's time to simmer again we're gonna simmer for another 30 minutes oh yeah baby and when that 30 minutes is up you're done that's it there's no more cooking Hey here we go 30 minutes fast cooking no I'm saying ah all right take your off stir up everything I look real good now we're gonna do what we didn't do to begin with we're gonna add 1 tablespoon of salt there it is right there 1 tablespoon of salt they need to stir that in really really good ok yeah bebut and then I want you to get you a bowl and Bo you some of this beautiful soup up all this so good and cheap oh yeah baby so I'll just put your some in a bowler oh yeah this is some of the best hamburger soup or Mulligan stew I've ever made in my whole life really good well hey y'all give this recipe a try and let me know what you think click like then turn the bottom left and click that subscribe button at the top right and give me a comment tell me what you think even if it's bad I don't mind I got thick skin haha y'all folks have a great day bye
