have an older bike and it needs some help now make sure to check out the blog post that has all the information it has this video which you can purchase it it has the parts list the service manual it also has the tool list and I'll list some sources on where I bought some of these parts I think that was the most frustrating thing about this whole job was sourcing parts both new OEM and used some aftermarket I mean that was a pain in the ass for sure alright guys enjoy the sample and just leave a comment on what you think below okay let's remove all the point stuff now normally there'll be a cover on here with a gasket you can just remove those three screws and pop the cover off and then this is what you see everything in here is loose so remove this bolts followed by this big nut here and then you can pop these three screws off jas screws and these vessel screwdrivers are awesome definitely picks them up okay so this can all come off put your finger on here this is gonna fall out so just kind of hold it here and then this this weight assembly is gonna pop out nothing's holding it other than the pin here these clutch cover screws are in bad shape actually these two are missing so that that makes that easy right this one's really stripped that one's missing that one's missing unbelievable right all right so I'm gonna use this again the JIS vessel these are impact up so it has an impact of brand remodels and they have an impact screwdriver built in so my other impact the real impact is as large in diameter and it might not be able to get to those screws so hopefully this this works alright that works for this one all right this one's pretty stripped maybe they're all hand tight because this could be time consuming okay that one that's nice alright and as bad as they thought this one's really oh man there's no grab on this guy but luckily I cracked it loose hopefully I can just yeah all right Wow I was scared about that one look at nothing there [Music] okay and some of these this is the only one so far that's different lengths this one right here looks like all the others are identical this one looks like a really long one too [Music] looks like the wrong length for some reason anyway alright just give it a tap with a hammer break the gasket loose alright you'll notice right off the bat there's a dollop in here in here so anytime you're putting a cover on somewhere it's usually to doll pins or if it covers any importance you know such as this this is what I'm talking about you got this cover that's all beat up and it's it's a shame because I don't know how well it's gonna turn out restoring this guy so what to take all this oh and one more thing for the kicker shaft there's a there's a washer on here so we'll just put that on there alright let's move on to the clutch you can take this little guy out ten mill bolts here [Music] good idea to back them off evenly okay so we got for ten mill bolts this pressure plate here [Music] Springs and in here we have a circlip there's this little washer that goes on here all right so we can remove the hub here okay the best thing to do is lay the hub down you know came off this way lay it down and then we can pull these plates out now these plates look super dry and glazed over I'm gonna be replacing the clutch anyway these Steel's actually look pretty good but you know probably just get a new clutch kit just grab a whole bunch to take them out alright then we can remove this guy followed by your clutch basket and there's this collar here with bits of silicone on it because they did a dirty job here okay one thing to note per the parts manual this collar gets installed into the clutch basket this way as you can see I disassembled it it was on this way so this was on backwards we'll make sure to put it together correctly and also there's a washer on here which is in the correct spot okay over here there should be a circlip and it's missing so there will be a circlip on this gear completely missing okay I went ahead and removed the shifter from the left hand side all you do is unscrew this bolt and pull it off okay let's remove these ten bolts screws here okay so here there's a bolt there's a collar it's not a washer there's a little shoulder on there so it's a collar and then the spring so take that all apart loosen this ten bolt and then you can push this down and this whole assembly should just slide right out yeah I can just see it sings bet and it sings hammered alright let's go ahead and remove this 10 mil over here followed by this plate remove this 10 mil here all right so we'll remove this star plate here which you can see there's a hole in the plate here and this longer pin okay so when you remove this note that there is one pin right there go ahead and remove these 10 mils short screws go ahead and undo the spring here just undo the tension and you know there's a washer on here what I'm going to do is put a zip tie on here so I don't lose it just snip that off all right I think we are done on this side all right let's go ahead and remove the oil pump there's three screws one two and three probably gonna have to use an impact on this but let's just see if they bust loose so let's just all right so that guy is not budging try it with some vice grips on here it's moving but it's just frozen I've been hitting it with penetrating oil this is Croyle maybe I'll have the vice grip on here and screwdriver I'm just gonna slowly work it it's it's moving but I think it's just frozen there it goes [Music] man that sucker was in there I was getting starting to get stripped so definitely have to order any one of those let's loosen these really quick before we move the pump [Music] okay so I'm just removing the three screws that we were working on and go ahead and remove the oil pump there should be - Oh rings too small Oh rings and a large old ring and a couple of these metal pipes in here all right let's remove all the case bolts from the top there's a 10 mil over here and over here so there's that one and that one there's 2 different lengths this one right here as well a little bit longer there's 3 12 mil bolts don't worry about the length they only go in one spot all right let's flip this guy over all right so you can see I haven't flipped over it's resting on this piece of wood on the cylinder studs all right we can remove the perimeter oil pan bolts they're all 10 mil all right a bunch of garbage in here we could at least clean that when they assemble the motor but okay get this over hang on here so just go ahead and put that aside go ahead and remove this hose it's clamp it's easier to take off of that that guy just slides right off okay let's go ahead and remove there's one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve ten millimeter bolts and here's a hardware store one looks like a pulled out a little bit of threads so that's great another hardware store one it's not looking good totally wrong thread oh man that's a 12 okay a couple more bolts there's actually one right here go ahead and remove this one in here and there's three more right here alright guys here is a good price point right here you can see it starting to come apart [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
