we've decided to call him as of right now uh he's in the chat actually he's not in the chat he's right here in the room so he's here in the room he is actually going to be paying attention to chat making sure that we actually uh um that we actually make sure make sure that we actually have all the information actually i almost forgot i'm gonna hit this right now and make sure so anyway uh overwhelmed sometimes that um i just kind of miss things so when uh this is a way for and it's not gonna be every stream but in a lot of streams um it's actually going to make it easier for me to be able to chat with you guys which would be better so um i turned it down again let me stop the music should be quieter now i just turned it down again so is it better people are saying i'm just wondering i want to check volume okay okay everybody's saying thanks thumbs up yeah oh and by the way okay music is good enough by the way i think the other thing you guys are seeing is guess what it looks like i can see the loyalty stuff from twitch is actually there now i don't know if any of the oh my voice is low um okay i'll turn up the voice a little bit gosh this is always the thing it's like you'd think that after so long we'd be able to we'd be able to know what things are but there we go is that better it seems like it's clipping though that looks like it's clipping a little bit are seeing a little rubytech monitor and as it upgrades as you go from month one to month two to month nine three month six it actually builds a pc so if you're like actually been a subscriber for a year you have like a full pc next your name so it's actually going to be pretty cool um and then we also have those custom um tier 1 tier 2 and tier 3 emojis as well those are actually those should be maybe they're out now they may not be but we got them coming here uh very very soon for those of you don't know because there's a lot of people here uh my name is justin roby i'm the host of roby tech hobie tech is a show dedicated to pc building uh tech news uh tech uh basically tech deals and then uh every once a while we throw some reviews we play some games all that sort of stuff there's there's lots of things that are in the future for now um for those of you we we are streaming for those who don't know i stream on multiple platforms it's one of the benefits that i actually have now as an affiliate i'm streaming right now on mixer uh also over to twitch which you is my primary streaming platform and then also to youtube and facebook where youtube is like the majority of the people who actually watch me on vods and stuff like that so my two primary answers audiences are twitch and youtube and so those are the people who are kind of hanging out with me so if you're not used to this you might be you might be saying like who the heck is he talking to i'm actually talking to people on four platforms and when we really get started uh we can have as many as a thousand or twelve hundred concurrent people who are hanging out and chat and so you might be on twitch going i don't understand i only see like 170 people or 200 people well there's actually already uh almost 200 people over on youtube and so that number will grow and we'll end up with like 8 900 over on youtube so just just to give you an fyi i'm not talking to myself i'm talking to other people um if you haven't seen this um and you're over on youtube i like to let this know because we have about 10 or 12 000 people who tune into this afterwards this is a live stream it is not like your typical vod content i have vod content but this is a stream where we're doing it all live you'll see me like make mistakes i'll figure things out live it doesn't look like i'm perfect and guess what i'm not perfect and neither is pc building pc building is a high cognitive load experience and i'm just kind of showing you that if i can do it three times a day three times a week you can also do it too and i try to walk you through and help you see as much as you can as we're basically doing the build what are we doing today you're probably wondering well today we are going to be building a build for clg's uh he is a uh a um he is a um league of legends player uh playing for clg's league of legends team we are building him an absolutely amazing field using the 10900k we'll walk through all those parts here in a bit we're going to be talking to him in well actually here very soon i'm going to check on the status of this we're going to chat with him pretty soon and seeing what's up there so i'm going to throw my headphones in um the only two is we do have a pretty in we have some pretty epic giveaways today um those giveaways are and uh big one everybody's really been excited about we are giving away an rtx 2060 on today's show there it is right there we're going to be giving that away i know people are pretty excited about this we're going to be giving away a get we're going to be day um let's talk about the build though because people want to know and the only two is later on in the show the other thing that we got is we have a monitor from gigabyte that we're going to be showing off a little bit later as well that should be super awesome but right now let's just talk about the parts inside of this build which i think are pretty good i'm pretty excited and i'm excited because it's another arctic build it's funny because i've had a couple requests for these and then we end up with like back-to-back arctic builds um throughout the day so let's start with our cpu uh this is the latest and greatest right here we have the i9 10 900 k um this has been hard to get in stock this has been hard to get in stock it's been hard to basically get a hold of this is a 10 core 20 thread cpu uh that can run five gigahertz very easily across all cores um we've actually seen like i know newegg actually did a giveaway from optimus water cooling they got it at the 5.3 5.2 uh all core no problem with custom water cooling which is incredibly fast i know a lot of people ask is like well why do people still buy intel nowadays there are good reasons to buy intel including the fact that even though it may be beaten cores from verizon the fact that it can actually run five to 700 megahertz faster for gaming that can be as much as 30 to 40 frames per second so still the king of gaming still the king of gaming it's still an absolutely incredible cpu if you're thinking about actually doing gaming cpu and for somebody who's just going to be gaming on this 10900k is an absolutely incredible cpu so this is our cpu should be awesome uh from motherboard motherboard uh can you go in the other room it's up in the top it's the vision we'll go to it's it's an all-white box it says vision z490 um we'll we'll go to motherboard next let's talk about the gpu so he is playing league of legends which will actually run on a toaster but we're not going to run it on a toaster because we're using the gigabyte geforce rtx 2080 super um this is remember this is an all-white build so we're going to be using arctic stuff so we wanted a white card i know we used a 2080 ti in the build yesterday but we're looking for something a little bit more a little bit more um a little bit more uh on point for the uh for the design this time so running a 2080 super more than capable for anything he's doing he's running games uh 1080p specifically for competitive and he can run up to 1440p which is the monitor that he's actually using so absolutely easily this is easily a great gpu for that can run 1440p at 100 plus frames per second and run league of legends at like a bajillion frames per second there's no problem there so should be absolutely cool um from that so there is our gpu for our motherboard which i hinted at and you've actually seen me if you watch me do the uh if you watch me do the water cooled build from when we did the water cooled build uh the 10900 first live stream of a 10900 build when it came out a couple weeks ago we actually used this build this is the gigabyte vision z490 i'll give you a top-down view for this you guys can actually see this is a good looking good-looking gpu i mean good-looking motherboard i mean i really like the way this looks it's very subtle it uses this isn't actually rgb which we thought originally this is actually um holographic so it's got light rgb but a lot of white so it looks really good in an all-white case it's going to look really sick in this build and it's going to really kind of bring out bring out its eyes so to speak um as we uh as we uh get built for this and it's in this nice all-white um all-white box which tells you that it's really made for arctic builds which is pretty cool so yeah this is the the vision c490 we'll give you a tour of that board when we get a little further down the line the rest of the stuff we're talking about is mostly corsair it actually looks familiar if you tuned into yesterday's build because again corsair makes very pretty white parts we've got the h100i rgb platinum and then of course uh to go with that stuff we're also using uh corsair's uh ll 120 fans um which is just like which are you know really really great fans they have that nice white the only other ones that might be different is they make white ql fans which i actually have a stack of in the other room but these are very pretty pretty and they will look great in our case which we're using the crystal 570x so again keeping with that all white theme um will look really really good so there is our fans and this there is our aio for power an oldie but a goodie we continue to use this one we're using the corsair rm850x and then we've got the course here we've actually got the the custom sleeve cables that you guys saw yesterday again we really want this build to come out look white we uh i think reaction to the build yesterday was very very positive in terms of how it looked thank you very much for those embers by the way um very very positive coming out of that stuff and so i'm stoked about how this is going to look uh in today's build remember it is a little bit different so it will not look exactly the same so don't don't fret there if you're like oh this is going to look exactly the same it will look very different because we're using a very uh different case for this one so there is that and then finally we have uh ram as well and then i'm gonna go get the parts from seagate oh nevermind they're right here we got ram just to kind of finish out we've got our white uh 3600 uh corsair vengeance rgb again this ram looks really good especially in all white uh configuration this is cl 16 which is going to be great uh you know 99.9 of uh ram works very very uh very very well with um intel and so this is going to be more than compatible running at 3600 megahertz which is only going to do better for his gaming and then finally another big partner of our seagate bam two m.2 these are two terabyte m.2 drives and then of course we've also got the six terabyte um six terabyte iron the iron wolf nas drive which is going to be super cool and uh this this nas drive um we we had an issue with yesterday i've actually since fixed it actually went into disk part uh within the os and fixed it all in there so we'll show how to set that up depending on if we can get this done quickly i'm going to be kind of going quickly with this bill because i know you guys are sunday night a lot of you got to go to bed drink your uh drink your your uh ovaltine and uh you know get ready for the big work week ahead so we'll try and we'll try and uh respect your time we're shooting to try and get this done in three and a half hours so i'm gonna be a little bit faster uh in today's build just to kind of knock it out and get it done so anyway there's our build and then finally uh we'll show it a little bit later we've also got this really rad uh gigabyte monitor we're going to show off and i'll talk to you a little bit about that we get to the part where we uh we get it up and tested but it's an absolutely incredible monitor uh it's 34 it's basically it's 34 inches which is the thing that's really crazy um and it's a sorry 32 inch 32 inch 1440p um which is a which is an absolute beast of a monitor and uh i'm pretty stoked about um getting to getting to show that off uh here in a bit so it should be it's going to be a good show we're gonna have a lot of fun trey what what questions are we getting what are people saying what is the what is the ambiance of the 600 people we're hanging out right now i'm trying to make him earnest pay which is nothing i'm legit that's that's that's what you guys say huh that's that's what we get out of this is you're legit to be a beast yeah it is going to be a beast and it's all white did you know that yeah okay so yeah it's gonna be uh it's gonna be using the intel 10900k which uh is pretty much impossible to get so i don't know who they had to slay uh to uh i don't know who they had to slay to get you access to that one which is pretty epic um and then you've got really nice cooling it's gonna look very very when it's done it will be say magnifique i will tell you it's gonna look super super clean which i know about you but i love it when pcs come out looking really clean i love it clean yeah now what are you doing on your stream while we're uh while we're building a pc over here uh probably just playing league mostly uh okay and then tuning in i'm just mixing the camera overly right now sorry if i seem distracted oh it's okay uh as long as as long as you are entertained i i am absolutely fine so when you what what role do you usually play when you play league are you are you uh i mean are you like a mid laner are you a top laner like what what are you a jungler what are we doing when you when you play or do you just play everything and just all make it look good uh i'm a mid laner but i can play a a bunch of stuff okay okay nice have you uh what's when you're in your competitive career where was the like what was the the peak of your competitive career i mean like did you make it to worlds or did you ever get to do anything like that uh did i ever make it to worlds yeah which is dota so that wouldn't have helped but i mean like you know uh no sir no i've never been to worlds [Laughter] i just i don't know like i'm just trying to learn a little bit about you okay well here i'll tell you what let's let you get back to your world uh we're gonna get back to ours we're gonna start building you're gonna play a couple games and we'll kind of check in and then you will uh we'll you uh we'll show you via the stream where we are on the pc build and uh it sounds like you're going to be surprised at the end you know very little so it'll be like packaging and i just want to let you know that we built one for diane yesterday and she was so ecstatic so i mean i'm looking at you i expect the same level of energy and emotion given that your favorite color is blue and you're kind of a moody dude to to like come out when we finish this pc sorry i got it i got excited i got the camera to work i don't care about the pc i just want to make sure the camera looks good yeah i wanted to let the people know you know what what you're doing and whatnot you know no i appreciate it man i was absolutely insane i'm pretty excited about them i will tell you the tier three emote though um so sean labrie who has who has done all of the art for my channel um is actually the one who uh did the uh moats for this one and uh they look really good and the tier three one is a post hype emote which is pretty cool so win the pc post but only the tier three guys get that tier two is the beefy course which is pretty cool it looks like a hamburger it says beefy in it which is pretty cool yeah and then the other ones we have like an rgb like a new egg one we got um we got like a bunch of really cool ones so i think i'm pretty excited about the emotes those will be out as soon as uh as soon as twitch approves them um we will get them out guys so um we'll show off this this motherboard actually used it before but we'll use the other m.2 because we'll fill on both of these i think if you use the third it like disables something or takes half the channels from something like that and i'm sure i'm pretty sure tech specialists will let me know here pretty soon um and uh give me the 4-1-1 on that whole thing so that that should be so those are just subscribed for the subscribes how is the volume for subscribes oh dude i know why as well this is this that like we're also turning that down so that should also help the audio's there you go that should also because the audio for the desktop audio was way up so you could hear shifter i read the manual sometimes puts me to sleep you know it's a large part of going there okay just to give you guys a quick update on what we have here this is a because this is uh because this is uh a uh 10 900k build this is actually uh the lga 1200 socket so this is new for intel 10th gen um that means that if you want to install an 10th intel 10th gen cpu you could only do it on a z490 board because the socket is actually different this up here is our vrm these are our dims that we're going to be using for installing our memory we're going to be filling all four slots we don't have to worry about necessarily if you have only two dimms of ram that you'd have to put them in specific slots you can check your manual from that but usually it's a2 and b2 this is our power or our uh this is the power that we connect this is basically for the motherboard up here we've got uh eps power connectors we've got a four pin and an eight pin you don't usually typically need the four pin unless you're like doing like uh ln cooling which is liquid nitrogen we're not gonna be doing any of that today i'm pretty sure shifter actually wants this pc when we're actually done this is sata down here this is whenever saturn we're actually gonna use this today so we're this saturn won't be sata because we're actually going to connect something to it these are our front panel connectors right here um and then uh over here we've got our usb and we've also got um our we've got usb here and then we've got our hd audio right here this right here is our usb 3.2 and then we've also got we don't have a usbc i actually don't think we have a usbc on here we do have usbc on the back we have a usbc 3.2 gen2 here on the back but we don't actually have it anywhere and then the cool thing about this is we've also got an integrated i o so that is our motherboard in a thing um it doesn't so it does so not all of them need a heat sink uh you sometimes you you can actually install them some of them have heatsinks and they don't require it um with open air that you're going to get more than enough air across it so yeah it shouldn't actually run slow it won't be thermally it won't be thermal throttled we're only using pcie gen 3. i saw that question going in there that's what we just talked that's what we just said wow yeah so he was talking about the heat sink and stuff like that so yeah going in there you're doing a good job i appreciate [Laughter] okay we're opening up here getting our getting our cpu out right now wow this is like magnetic look magnetic we have a magnet in here let's not cut off our finger that would be how would that be like we did that i'm not a cub scout it's fine it's yeah i kind of cut off my head look i like i like the way i like the way this looks though like when you open it up right like it's like you know it's very i actually it's very you know when you really look at this it's like very corporate award is super interesting is like this the size of this versus uh verizon is always surprising me um this actually is on their or their 14 nanometer uh process so they still haven't done like 12 nanometers or behind there but um and there we go and then again uh just to give you a little tour when you open a cpu you just want to touch it from the side you try not to touch the ihs on the top same thing here you don't want to lick these you don't want to you don't want to rub them on a hamster you don't want to rub them on your little brother you don't want to use it to exfoliate your skin even though it could potentially be that stuff you also don't want to like zoom in on it and play like a little car because it kind of looks like a city on there um you'll see this little dot over here and then there's a little one there that is actually a little arrow and it points to an arrow on side the socket so when we install this this uses a different tension than what you're used to on a what you're used to on uh amd which is just has a single one so what the way you're gonna do this we'll zoom in so you guys can get a better look at it we'll get you a close zoom look at that close zoom here so what we're gonna do is we're gonna do this you're gonna reach from the side just uh move that off to the side lift it up pops up like this and then this one has little nipples the little nipples are on the side there and those little dimples or nipples or whatever you want to call them only allow it to go in one way so you just kind of spit it in like that and you're going to put this down slide it underneath this little screw right here pull it down you'll hear like a bunch of creaking that's not bad it's not like breaking and then this little part right here just pops right off and there you go now you have a cpu installed and then try not to i'd always save this thing because you want to save these things these things do things like um you save these things like if they wanted you to send it back or whatever sometimes the manufacturers want them so there is that there we go let's install this you're learning something here you learn something new every day okay going over here like this we're going to go ahead and pull in our uh pull in our second part this is our we're going to install our ram so we've got that 3 600 megahertz we've got 32 gigs might as well get that installed so we got it popped over here this one actually has dual dual bra a dual little bracket so we're going to have to open all those up like that there we go and then we're gonna uh no if you lick it it will not be faster than a nasa supercomputer who said that whoever that is don't listen to that person that person is wrong flames from youtube don't listen to don't listen to flames from youtube you should not lick it it does not make it faster it'll it'll be faster on its way to the store because it doesn't work anymore there you go okay uh okay just opening this up from here okay so when you install ram so we have all four dimms there's a little slot on the on the ram right there that's like a little slot that's actually in the pcb what you're going to do is you're just it has a lot more again we'll have some more fans and all that sort of stuff but it'll look really good it's got this really neat kind of pattern on the front as well so you can check that out there's that pattern it just looks really good in terms of that sort of stuff so it's it's a nice looking case and we're gonna we're gonna what we're gonna do is we're gonna quickly so these are all sf fans we're gonna replace the sf fans we're gonna put ll 120 fans across the old the entire thing and then we're gonna do a top mounted aio because this case unlike the case yesterday actually has the room for it so first thing we're gonna do is gonna strip all this tempered glass get it all down to the bare essentials and go they're downstairs if you go downstairs in the kitchen you'll actually see a we're at and uh i think uh next up we're gonna install we're gonna put your cooling together and then probably by the next time i'm guessing that the next time we actually get together um your pc should be pretty close to done this is going to go pretty good really it goes pretty fast uh i mean once we get the fans in like i said all we got to do is put fans in then we install our aio and then once that's going we we throw a couple connections in there installing a gpu and go from there so it's like i'm guessing i don't know we're probably about maybe an hour and a half from being done sorry what's an aio so an aio is an all-in-one liquid cooler i'll show it to you right here so this is this is your aio right here um and so this is actually it's actually filled with water it does not leak and that actually uh what it does is it cools your cpu so if you wanted to and you're like hey i want to overclock it or anything like that this would allow you to the potential to do that uh and wait wait i built a pc before and it took me like three days is that not normal that so uh i built three three to five pcs a week so that is that i think that's the differences i built i build a lot more pc so this has become much more routine than um then yeah when it takes people to do like uh you know three you know three or four uh three or four days i know lots of people have taken their time but i just kind of know where things go so yeah this pc will probably i usually take about three hours to build a piece i could do it faster but i'm always like we're we're over here having a good time too i've got mine you're probably explaining like what you're doing and stuff too yeah and i have my associate to my associate producer here as well in the in the studio so we've been kind of joking around and having a good time as well i actually yeah i physically do have another person in here just to keep it entertaining because uh if i was by myself i think i i'd be bored but that's fail more often so oh let me go back to this uh so pumps fail more often so if you if the pump fails it throws an error oh i can't take that metal part out it looks like it actually hitting actually could cause us to break hoping to hide it all behind that white metal but sometimes this room does yeah i guess it does sometimes a lot of times unfortunately gets hotter when trey is here okay we're color you want so to fit your moody demeanor holy yeah it should be it should be absolutely awesome uh you uh you you perchance name your pcs i don't know if sushi dragon names his stuff but i don't know if you you would uh perchance maybe name it you think um those are those are very creative names so this would be pc3 it's already like it's i wonder if it's like thinking inside going oh i want a better name than that but it's hey it's your pc so uh are you excited about it though i mean like how is this rate compared to the other pcs cause you said you've built another pc before how does this rate in terms of the other pcs um i mean this was ages ago of like pretty like budget part so this is like this one blows it and went out of the water for sure okay okay well nice nice well i as well and then here it comes and this is like this is a this is a 32 inch beast right yeah 32 inch 1440p gigabyte monitor from them right so yeah it's curved as well right so this will run this will run your new career of professional solitaire player like a boss so yeah look at that and it's it's like no no bezel no bezel as well so it looks it looks super super good um and the one thing i like about it this is the g32 qc from gigabyte it just came out about a month ago um and the thing that's really nice about it is it has 144 hertz of course i think it's one millisecond um the cool thing is you can actually change all of the settings of the you can actually change all of the settings of the monitor via the on-screen display which is actually controlled via software so you don't even have to play with the little you know awkward menu in the back and change all your stuff uh just right there um it also has stuff like if you want to be better at fps it'll do like crosshairs all that sort of stuff so really good gaming monitor um reviews for it have been pretty good in terms of i haven't used it myself um i've been a big fan of the rs brand so this is their gigabyte us one so it should look really really good everybody's like everybody and everybody in chat's like forget it forget the graphics card giveaway give away the monitor well if you want to get if you want to get this gonna be playing minecraft dungeons with uh minecraft dungeons with jess gordon that's tomorrow morning at eight that's the last stream on mixer sad day last stream on mixer oh i should jump all my parts yeah well you don't have to i'm already max on sparks maybe you could but it would like i'm sure there's some other poor person who keeps sparks probably he's at the end crying themselves asleep so that's the last stream on mixer tomorrow and then uh yeah and then we're back on wednesday where we start the minecraft dungeons build and then we will talk i'll show off to give the pc that we're going to be giving away for the month of for the month of july we have a whole pc we have a pc we do a pc giveaway every month and then we're going to do austin and then we're going to start the minecraft dungeons build and that's the pc we're giving away in august and then we're going to do a fully custom water cooled um crucial build that we'll be giving away in september so lots of pcs that you could potentially as well so lots of stuff that you guys could potentially win um on top of that we have pcs to win all that sort of stuff still still as well oh shift shifters pc is looking
