alright YouTube today a little DIY project let's get started [Music] I hate everybody by now you're wondering what we're building we're gonna build a fire pit right buddy I think so it depends on where you go Lowe's Home Depot whatever box store you can pick up the stone yourself I'm gonna kind of walk you through what we're gonna do first step is lay out your rock we've got 12 stones in a circle lay it out first once you get your stones set up kind of where you want your fire pit make sure you're going with you know the rules of your County your state we're going ten feet away from the patio so that's a structure good good location once you get your stone set you're gonna kind of dig a line around the outside of the circle all right so once you've dug around the outside circle you got to move the blocks right buddy they're heavy so you're gonna move the blocks out so we can start digging the circle out of the way [Music] all right once you got your hole dug you're gonna start leveling we raked it out a little bit you're gonna try to get it as level as possible not too crazy we had a little bit of a slope so we are deeper on this side we are on this side we're gonna put some paver sand in the hole and level it out all right so we've got the paper sand in we've kind of tamp it down a little bit best we could now we're gonna level it out and make sure we're level before we start putting the brick in right buddy all right so we got the each stone he's checking out the level of each stone making sure we're good the best part about having the paver sand is it's easy to admit manipulate and you can move the stone we're not putting the stone every part flush we want to have a little bit of crack so we can have some airflow for the fire but we're gonna move on the next step which is the next level rock all right here's two layers of block we're gonna we're gonna do four layers a block you really want to make sure you get it level so our ground slopes down so you can kind of see the left hand side is into the ground a lot more than the right hand side that's just so we can keep it level where I keep going all right there's four levels of brick little man it's helping we're gonna put the lava rock in the bottom you'll be ready to enjoy the fire pit all right we go lava-rock Tao we got a help from the kiddos hey kiddos alright pour it in let's go keep going okay here's the finished product overall so a couple hours the main thing is you want to make sure it's level so the brick from Lowe's cost two dollars and 38 cents a piece we have 48 bricks the paper sand was about 5 bucks a bag we bought two bags the lava rock was about seven bucks a bag two bags and that's it you need to shovel on your level they need a lot of hard work and it's a about two hours of work you can have a fire pit see ya you
