How to become a Sniper..

oh man it's gonna be a great day well right right now we get to shoot some guns today we're gonna be exciting in that seven mil that I got I brought my money my three hundred we're gonna be going long-range shooting today I haven't done that I actually haven't done that I was chilly I don't think I've done in a really long time but other than that we're also gonna be getting the rest of my my tattoo done today I'm actually super stoked to get that done because it's gonna be the American flag that finishes it up I know a lot of you guys are probably wondering oh man what kind of yeah I wore this shirt on purpose you got to show up to the Ranger and you got to be super tactical and I'm pretty sure that this is probably the most camel I mean I I blend into the background right all I need is a pair of kneepads and a my plate carrier it happy real good and it is it's nice its sleek its smooth okay first shot out of this gun I've actually never shot it it's going to kick like a mule I'm sure you know nothing like shooting a target that's got 40 holes in it all right ladies you have a gun that's not even on paper and it's a human size target at a hundred yards so this thing is saying what is it saying we got a quarter inch adjustment at 100 yards so okay let's go I just this weighs up so let's just go down a quarter a minute adjustment at 100 yards okay I will say I find it kind of interesting that fire on this thing is yellow bellies kind of uh it's kind of strange to me but good to go about to give you guys a quick view on what's going on down here the gave all Alfred down here the good working on his nose okay this is Alfred this is the one we were working on this is where we started here here made a big correction to here and or here don't know which one it was but then i'ma started moving over slowly and slowly and slowly as you could tell then we finally got to his nose and I think that's good enough for the rifle we're working with this is basically mainly gonna be used for deer so I think if I'm in a shot group that big I think I think I'm good I think we're good to go oh I just realized something I wouldn't search through my bag he's like man I hope I put my lrf in it I know where my lrf is that I left it on my washer or my dryer washer and dryer I left it on top of those when I was walking out so it looks like we're gonna be doing the old-school way of using a calculator and milling out the targets I may have to walk all the way down milah our measure excuse me measure that first target and then we'll go from there cuz as long as I know the dimensions of the silhouette which I think it should be the same as all the other one no big no biggie we'll just have to do it old school old school ways of figuring out the range to a target basically mellow them out these are the only targets I'm gonna worry about today I'm not gonna worry about those at all because I don't have a spotter with me and these ones I'm able to know like instantaneously where I'm hitting is I'll be able to see cuz they're all white all the way through you'll see a big black charge you know what I mean from the round hitting so I'm gonna go ahead and measure these quick oh lordy lowered 18 inches okay 18 by 20 now 18 by 30 18 by 30 a lot of you guys have actually asked me to show you guys like basics to being a sniper shooting long range or something like that we're just gonna go with basics of shooting a long range but this is gonna be a guess this is kind of turning into like the basics of how to shoot long range I guess or figuring out your targets far away I don't really know we're about to do it all together because I have no other way to do it but use those measurements and mil mouths so starting to get warm Texas sorry you're warm time check 10:38 it is 77 degrees out anybody that is new to the channel this is the gun we're gonna be shooting this is a desert tech 300 Win Mag this is the one we'll be shooting today but I'll actually go over something real quick with you guys because I know this may be kind of confusing for a lot of you that aren't well I didn't grow up shooting guns I really didn't I didn't learn I learned everything I know when I was in the army that's I learned everything when you guys grabbed a box of ammo I'm sure there's a whole bunch of you guys like I got 300 Win Mag right here okay so this is actually pulled it out the right one real real real quick but it's very important and I feel like a lot of people probably don't really understand this but the grain of a bullet okay so this is 300 by 200 grain they make them in like 175 180 150 or whatever okay so the grain of a bullet just means how heavy the lead is like the actual chunk that's projectile that's flying down okay so if it's a heavier grain bullet it's got more impact okay more impact it's a slower traveling bullet but it cuts through wind better but if it's a lighter grain bullet like 175 grain compared to a 200 grain it'll go faster okay its impact is not as great you know what I mean like impact like as it hits it's it's a stopping power is not as good but it doesn't cut through wind is good so it's kind of like you got to find a happy medium with the bullet you're trying to shoot you see I'm saying heavier grain doesn't travel as fast cuts through wind has better stopping power or lighter grain bullet cousin cut through wind is good doesn't have as good as stopping power but travels faster which means probably a little bit farther it doesn't deviate it you know any you know I mean there you gotta find a happy medium but today I'm going to be shooting 300 300 Win Mag Turner grain that that seven mill I was shooting earlier was a hundred sixty-two grains so hopefully that made some sense hopefully I can actually actually taught somebody something there and grains a bowl it's very important okay I'm by myself today so I got to kind of figure out I'm gonna be able to what you know let's just worry about shooting the first target and finding out their actual distance too by using a calculator okay so this is the reticle this is what I'm looking through mil-dots this is pretty much what you guys are gonna be seeing I just milled the first target which was right there and it came out on this scope to 1.8 mils okay so this is what I'm doing I put my crosshairs right here okay this is oops right on the edge right on the edge of this silhouette okay and then I'm having it go over and then I'm reading mills I think there was a circle here and other circles right here so this is the edge of the target so you measure from edge to edge and this is 18 inches okay across all right remember that 18 inches across so 1 all the way over this was about 1.8 million vit it was 1.8 mils is what I'm gonna go with alright so you take this right here this is what math comes into play guys okay so what we do you take your inches across 18 times because we're playing with yards here twenty seven point seven seven okay you divide that by your mils boom 277 yards out there's what it says let's see if we can hit the target I'm not gonna be doing hold off I'm just gonna go ahead and just we put it on 3 and 0 hopefully this is making some sense for you guys I'm just gonna make the first shot let's see if we get in back just hold Center nice and let's see if it dings you guys should be able to hear the ding can go a little bit farther huh Oh mill reading was 1.2 on the next target alright to last 1.8 your mils will get lower and lower and lower as you go farther out so you got 18 times two seven point seven seven divided by one point two and that's going to equal your range or this range at least it's saying it's 416 out there so we're just gonna go we're gonna go 4 and we're just gonna hold on about the neck and that should be center mass hopefully the wind is nothing all right no wind out there oh do nothing let's see where we hit oh mylanta good shot good easy peasy lemon squeezy oh I will give you guys kind of a quick quick tidbit everything I got out of the army I realized that ammo is very very expensive I got out to just under eight hundred I think it was like thank you a 727 or 777 I can't remember I ping the target a couple times and then I couldn't touch anything past eight now I was like you know what I'm just kind of wasting rounds because I don't have somebody behind me telling me every time I'd shoot you know your gun would shift from left to right I couldn't tell if I was where I was impacting I could have made a quick adjustment for my own self it's like you know what we're gonna stop wasting rounds cuz these rounds get very expensive over time I just slang in ten rounds downrange I mean that just blew through 25 bucks for no reason you know I mean some all right let's go get some tattoos we gotta get some tattoos done today today is the day hopefully we can start getting the rest of the sleeve done and get some old tattoos covered up man X on my face let's go get some tattoos done let's go get the tattoos on the arms hello where's my house yeah you're calling me off my truck but oh my god my phone was on my here it's gonna go all the way down into the forearm area and then we got George Washington with a with a bandana on it's actually kind of it's gonna be awesome I'm gonna go back in there we've been stripes he just decided to kind of get me gone with the stripes stripes are gonna come down but it leads into George Washington with the Revolutionary flag bandana on his face which you guys that the
