How to be Faithful

this is the day that the lord has made i will rejoice come on and be glad in it all right look i told y'all i'm just going to be obedient to the lord right be obedient to the lord right and uh we're going to start off every week right and i'm look repetition deepens the impression i want to get this in your mind okay so get ready get a pen get a piece of paper all right write this down jeremiah 29 11. whatever comes to mind i want you to write it down all right for i know the plans that i have for you declares the lord all right remember what i told you every single day i want you to wake up and i want you to be honest like it may be it might be tough but i want you to be honest with yourself am i where god plans me to be that's what i want you to ask yourself every day i'm not interested in what your boss think i'm not interested in what your parents think i'm not interested in what your your spouse thinks i don't care what your kids think about you listen to me god god yahweh the creator of the universe says i know the plans that i have for you are you hearing what i'm saying so all i want you to do every day when you wake up is i cuz here's the deal god's plans are to benefit you i'm just go you feel me like it ain't no manipulation there look i love my life i love my wife with all my life but listen to me very closely i still have my own agenda outside you feel me like i love her but this still i like i want you to god there's nothing literally that you can do for god nothing you can do for god matter of fact there are scriptures that remind you that there are there are celestial beings who have a responsibility and all they do is praise god all day every day god ain't waiting for your praise i just wanna are you upset i just wanna make sure you clear on that now i'm not saying god does not amen uh a value or love your prayer but he ain't waiting on it the the heavens have a plan and they ain't heaven ain't waiting on you to do what you're supposed to do be so heaven can be heaven like heaven god heaven mapped out what god is doing for your lifespan is for you the guy has you on his thoughts in his mind and in his heart and so i want you to ask yourself like literally am i financially do my plans look like what god plans are for me i want you to ask that question and your emotional mental health does this look like what god had for me in your relationships do this look like what god were in your health does this when god had plans toward my is this what it looked like and look this isn't something that should overwhelm you this should say yo i'm here and i need to get here that's all it's saying and as a matter of fact here's the cool thing about it god has plans for you so he also has a plan for you okay i'm gonna leave that one alone amen hallelujah look god has a plan for i know the plans that i have for you said the lord and he has a plan oh come on he had some people got planned but they ain't got plans some people real they got a plan like i want to live here i want to do this but they don't have a plan of action god not only has a plan for your life he got a plan for your life amen god gotta look god not only has thoughts towards you he not only knows how he wants your life to be and what he wants your life to look like but he also if you get out the way he also has an action plan he he also has a blueprint with your name on it there's a literal blueprint amen in the kingdom with your name on it uh come on somebody and god is not god is not uh um god is not has a plan but then he's dropping the ball on the plan of action god literally has a set of plans with your name on it god literally has steps amen god literally had oh come on somebody god has a means and a method to get you to the plans that he has for you hallelujah thank you jesus that's all i'm asking you to do amen is every day just be real is the plan and some days you might wake up and be like yeah some days you may wake up no but don't be overwhelmed or stressed out because you don't have to do anything hallelujah praise god i'm going to get to that in a minute for i know the plans that i have for you declares the lord plans for your welfare oh praise god not for your evil hallelujah to give you a future why i said three things three things three things hallelujah three things i want you to catch it number one god says i i want you to be blessed your welfare meaning what everything about you i want it to be well hey man come on jamie well welfare come on hallelujah well god said i want you to be well in every area so one i want you to be well now i don't just want you to be well in the present i have a future for you amen i want your present to be well i want your present to be exceedingly abundantly beyond anything you could ask for i want your future to be exceedingly abundantly anything oh yeah and then i want to give you hope what i need hope for because you're gonna be going through some stuff in his life and i want you to know that it's gonna it's gonna be okay you're gonna even the stuff that look like it's for your bad i'm gonna turn it for your good now let's get to the message let's get to the message so i'm just being obedient i'm being obedient amen to the to god to the man of god after we have we we have a session that we do afterwards amen as ministers we want to make sure that we're not a cast away the same gospel that we preach so after the service is over we have our own service to make sure that we have some action steps that really take this message and do something with it amen so as we're sitting there amen i believe maybe it was jamie amen but but the thought process was man this was a great message on theory in terms of being faithful it's a great week of prayer on being faithful but e.t if you could just take it to another level and just give us some steps hallelujah praise god so what i want to do i want to do anywhere from six to eight we're going to take our time i want to do anywhere from six to eight steps right on how to be faithful now why because we we understand that our blessings are in being faithful our blessings are are are staying amen in this thing not quitting not giving up on god not letting god go amen i didn't say it wasn't gonna be no storms i didn't say this relationship wouldn't be i didn't say our time on earth wouldn't be stormy i didn't say we wouldn't have some trials i didn't say we would have no tribulation but what i said was if you want to be successful in this life the way you do it is by being faithful hallelujah not just faithful to god just a person of faith a person of integrity that even when the ship amen i'm gonna act a certain way and i don't care what happens come hell or hot water i ain't gonna switch up hallelujah praise god i ain't gonna switch up that's the problem we're not faithful we switch up we switch up when things don't look the way we thought they should look we switch up we don't have the same energy when it don't look like we gonna benefit we switch up when god tell us to do something that we don't particularly care for we switch up and it's in your switching that you lose hallelujah you praise god that you can't i want to make sure you catch that write that down that's not number one but that's a bonus from the holy ghost when you switch up on your relationships when you switch up at your job when you switch up what you said listen to me very closely if you stuck with the stuff you said you was gonna do in december if you stay faithful to that diet that you put yourself on if you say if you stay faithful to that lifestyle that you said if you stay faithful to you weren't gonna go to the club no more if you stayed faithful to what you said when you were on your back what you said when you were sick what you said when you were losing if you stayed true to what you said when you felt defeated and you came to god and you cried out and said help and god gave you the plan of action if you stayed true to that if you stayed true to the exercise program you'd be right where you want to be if you stay true to those sit-ups and push-ups if you say oh if you stay true to that bike ride whatever whatever you say this will be very closely you're you're sick you're not successful because you keep switching up oh come on matter of fact i'm gonna make that one number one how are we gonna make that number one number one in order to be successful on this earth financially in your relationships in your health in order to have wellness god is saying have no other gods before me what does he say be faithful keep the same energy hallelujah folks kept the same energy that they did when they was dating hallelujah and folks kept that same energy they had on a honeymoon night just oh what where would the marriage be if you kept that say listen to me very closely i want you to know number one the reason why you lose it is because you switch it up on your on your energy hallelujah praise god you switching up on what you said stop oh come on stop i heard you stop switching come on stop switching stop letting circumstances and situation you switching the bible says be faithful why because when you're faithful that's where your success comes from your success comes from let your yay be yay and your navy nay you keep switching up you keep switching because something happened that you didn't like you keep switching up because you don't understand you keep switching up because you're not getting the results that you thought are you a person of results or are you faithful i'm asking you a question so number one the reason why most of us are not where we want to be you ain't faithful you switch up you put a little you put energy into this but you don't put the same energy in that oh as long as everything is good you bring in this person when you mad angry upset when you confuse you bring a different person you're switching up and so i declare and decree in the name of the lord that number one if you would just keep that same energy and not switch up hallelujah teams don't you know now they got it where you could transfer and guess what the transfer rate is higher than it's ever been before why because now if you don't like your coach if you don't like your situation you could just leave and go to another team and it's in the staying loyal it's in the staying committed hallelujah praise god it's it's in the staying faithful i just want to say this before we move forward because if somebody else is not faithful if somebody else is not committed oh come on if somebody else doesn't do what they say they supposed to do oh you're going to be mad at them you're gonna have an attitude with them you're gonna stop talking to them but when you ain't faithful to you and what you said you was gonna do you ain't got no attitude with yourself when you're not loyal to you when you don't stick with your commitments and so i just want you to understand number one that a lot of the a lot of the a lot of the drama that you're experiencing a lot of the unhealthy relationships that you're experiencing a lot of the stuff that you're experiencing that's not godly and you're not happy with it and you want it out of your life well what happens is you've introduced it to yourself because you didn't want to be faithful because again you didn't like something that was said or you didn't like something that was done it wasn't pleasing to you you switched up so you stopped treating the person the same way so of course you're getting a different result you stop talking to them the way you used to talk to them so of course you're getting a different result your behavior is different amen the way you talk to them and talk about them is different you switched up and now you're upset that you switched up and you the results are different well of course they're different because you switched up when you were acting one way it was one result when you start acting a different way you're getting different results don't trip don't hallelujah praise god come on somebody i'm talking to somebody i want to help you if you stay faithful regardless of the circumstances in the situation jesus said i pray to just cut passive me but nevertheless what was he saying i'm gonna keep the same energy toward the father i'm gonna keep that same energy nevertheless that that's what the nevertheless is i don't want to die on the cross i don't want to go through this death i don't want to go through this pain i don't want to go through this rejection but this pain ain't about to make me switch up this rejection they're about to make oh somebody better hear what i'm saying i'm not about to switch up and the problem with most of you is you keep switching up then you got to attitude when you switch and every time watch this if i switched it all come on jamie if i'm if this is my position but something happened and i go here guess what my perspective is different i can't see the same my angle is different everything is different not because anything in the room has changed but everything is different because i change your everything in your life is different cause you switched up you ain't you're not the same person you were before you got an attitude now you switched up you're not putting the same minute you switched up and god saw you switch up and because you switched up he switched up they switched up it all switched up but you mad cause you didn't turn and you can't see the same thing of course you can't see the same thing you didn't change you didn't turn so don't be upset when you turn and you change and you give less less energy and you give less love and you give less commitment and instead of giving 120 you give 80. don't be upset when stuff change cause you changed don't be upset you change so it changed jesus said i don't want to do none of this the bible says he was in such pain and such agony that the bible said his sweat was blood hallelujah he began to sweat blood hallelujah praise god he cried out to the father i prayed it just cut past me he he cried out to the file i don't want to do this but but nevertheless what does that mean okay jamie i'm sorry let me and again i'm not trying to be i'm i'm not trying to be uh give me the word because i want nobody to get upset with me i'm not i'm not uh i try to be sacrilegious amen but if i can if i can give a modern day version of that jamie jesus said i pray that this cup pass with me i don't want to die hey man i don't want to hang on no cross hey man i don't want to be i don't want to be hey man murdered i don't i don't want to be treated like this hallelujah but jamie i'm going to switch it instead of saying nevertheless he said but i'm not going to switch my energy come on come on come on come on i'm not going to sweat you heard you read nevertheless i want to give it to you in 2021 i'm not going my energy's not going to change toward the father my attitude is not gonna change toward the fire i'm not gonna talk about god in a different way i'm not gonna talk about god in a different way i'm not gonna oh my my my admiration for the creating about to change hey man the way i treat it ain't about to change nevertheless nevertheless i ain't gonna switch my head i'm not about to change hallelujah but you switched up and you keep switching up hey man you keep switching up because it ain't the way you want it to be you don't see the benefit because you saw you switch up you don't stay committed to it hallelujah but when you stay committed to something hallelujah what happens is every year you are committed to that thing the longer you stick around and stay with it isn't it funny that everything ain't right but you isn't that funny isn't that funny that every job you ain't never had a job that was right ain't no job ever treated you right you ain't never had no man to treat you right you got to go to a different man you ain't never had no woman satisfy you you got to go to a different woman to do this and do that whatever it isn't that funny that nobody could satisfy you and everybody always wrong but you ain't never wrong i want you to check your faithfulness hallelujah praise god i want you to check you and your fa okay praise god let's go so number two uh let's go to number two so number two and i'm only giving you two today the first one is deep we probably should just stop with number one which is stop switching up and you're gonna start seeing certain things happen in your life when you stop switching up listen to me very closely y'all i never wanted to do this uh preaching thing like this i never wanted to be i loved evangelism because i go preach lead i never wanted to be a full-time minister now i understand why i didn't want to be one listen to me as much as i love preaching and teaching listen to me very closely and as much as i don't like some of the bureaucracy and some of the other stuff that comes with being a full-time pastor listen to me i will never forsake this why because this is what daddy want me to do and so i i love my father i love god's people i love the mission i love the vision like all the stuff that i don't particularly care for listen to me very closely i would dare let that ch i would dare let that change my relationship with god i would dare let some inconvenience hey man listen to me last time i checked amen in the professional world you know there are some benefits to me being in the professional world listen to me very closely i still love this world more than i love that world and there are there are opportunities that i get uh that there is influence i have impact i have there is income i get out there i promise you if i had to trade between the two jamie i would always pick this one why not because of the benefits but i know this is what daddy called me to do when i was in college he told me this is what he called me to do so i ain't about to switch up on god because of what happens in certain situations because this person did this and this prayer i wasn't serving him in the first oh come on jamie i wasn't serving no conference in the first place i wasn't serving no leaders in the first place i wasn't worship working for money in the first place i just tell him i oh i was homeless if you want me to preach that's the least i could do i was on my way dead i was on my way to jail he picked me up and turned me around whatever you want me to do i will never catch an attitude not with nobody or nothing why because i don't ever want to hurt god i don't ever not want to please god i don't ever not want to i don't care about no human i want to please god i want to hear god say well done thou good and faithful servant you've been faithful over few i will make you i want to please my god lo and behold this is my son and who i'm well pleased i'm never gonna get off my post because in the name of jesus by the grace of god i'm never gonna get off my post because of what some human said about me i'm never gonna get off my post because the way somebody treated me i'm never going to stop giving 120 i'm never gonna not come with joy and ha i'm never gonna stop praising my god because of some other folk and what they did and didn't do it it's time for you to grow up and be faithful stop switching up your energy hey man ain't you ain't doing it for man nobody tripping on what man says or what man does who you doing it for you're doing it for god are you doing it for people and if you believe in god god ain't gonna forsake you he never said no human weren't gonna forsake you he said i'll never forsake you or leave you hallelujah number two i'm sorry i didn't got caught up i didn't got caught up on stop switching it up stop switching up and being upset cause you switching up you get you get you get your switch up but you don't want your circumstances to switch up you get to switch up but you don't want your rewards to switch up you get to switch up but don't nothing else you feel me you're so selfish and self-centered you get to switch up you get to have an attitude you get to be in your feelings but you want everything else to be the same when you get back [Laughter] number two number two to be faithful one has to trust hallelujah the bible declares in proverbs three and five uh trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not into your own understanding hallelujah watch this y'all watch it we're gonna go to six but watch this trust watch it there's no way to be faithful there's no way to have a productive relationship with god if you don't trust them trust trump you miss what i just said trust in the lord with all trust demands all there's measurement in this trip scripture you can't give god 80 or 90. that's why you get mad at people when you see god is doing certain things in certain people's life they're doing it because they give it all you can't give 80 percent and think you're gonna get what somebody to give 120 gig you got to give all he said trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not so two things have to happen you have to trust god and when you've and in the way we know you trust god is that you lean not into your own understanding hallelujah you don't have a way no more you don't have a plan no more amen you don't have a way no more amen you don't have a plan no more hey man you you listen to me once you trust with god and god with all your heart once you trust in the lord with all your heart once you trust in the lord with all your heart you let go you don't have a plan anymore you let go you're not trying to figure it out no more you let go you don't try to understand why god is being god's you don't you don't ask god why he gives you stuff but when you lose stuff you want to know why you lost it amen we're not quizzing god when we get stuff we're not quizzing god when he bless us we're not quizzing god in the overflow we're not quizzing god when he anoints us we're not quizzing god when he gives us exceedingly abundantly beyond anything we're not quizzing god when we get the love we're not quizzing god when we get the affection we're not quizzing god with the affirmation we're not quizzing god when he blesses us when god opens up the window and pour out blessings that they shall not be ru we're not we're not quizzing god when we don't get hallelujah when he covers us when he protects we don't quit god when he makes sure that when we plant seeds amen not only do they grow but he rebukes the divine we don't quit god but as soon as god do something we don't understand as soon as god does something that we don't approve of as soon as now all of a sudden we want to lean try stop leaning towards your own set trust in god with all your heart and let go and let god hallelujah number two you got to trust hallelujah hallelujah number two you got to trust in the lord with all hallelujah so i want to help you application so e.t how do i do that so i realized in my marriage hallelujah i realized in my marriage hallelujah praise god that i did not trust in my marriage now i'm not gonna say i didn't trust my wife because that wouldn't be the truth what i'm telling you was that i came into the relationship with a trusted you hallelujah praise god i want to help somebody i came into the relationship with a trustee some of y'all got a trust issue that's what i love about the church you know all you got to do is you know keep certain beliefs and you know what i'm saying say the right things and pay your tithe you ain't gotta deal with no real issues you know it's so funny but then you're wondering why we we had a glass ceiling why god can't do certain things for us because we're not trying to be healed for real hey man ain't nothing wrong with coming to church and doing all that but these things you should have done but these things you should not you should get healed jesus told her i know you i know that man ain't your husband and the last five wasn't your husband you need to go get some help how long you got a problem you need to go help there are those of us we have problems real legitimate problems we need to get healed and fixed hallelujah amen and so the bible declares that one must trust a person and if they're going to trust they're going to have to do it with all their heart and i was like ah i don't trust all right so number one i want you to be honest with your trust level right i don't trust maybe you trust 100 maybe you are like that may and if you are then you need to help people like literally if you don't have a trust issue you need to go back and figure out why you don't and then you need to share that with people so that you can help them to overcome so i realized i got a trust issue jamie i realize it so number one i i i i help me holy ghost i admit it i came clean hallelujah that's the first thing i need you to do i need you to i need you to evaluate where you are then i need you to be honest about where you are and i don't need you to be heard about it because guess what jamie my trust issues didn't come from me hallelujah and i'm not dogging nobody out but i didn't trust because my mother didn't tell me you know the truth about my father but i had to go back to it jamie and say why don't you trust not why you don't trust your wife i ain't trust my professor dog i ain't trust nobody why don't you trust and i was like oh okay it was my trust was breached at an early age with my mom hey man now that ain't my mom fault it ain't my my fault that when i found out what i found out that i responded the way i responded but i didn't respond right jamie and i was probably jamie probably in my late 20s and god says when you found out that your father wasn't your biological father the way you responded was wrong so now that you're in your 20s you don't get to just keep living life you have to go back to the test that you fail at 13 and you gotta start all over again [Applause] oh you missed what i just said do your homework god said you didn't do it right at 12 13. and that you didn't do it right you ran away from home you didn't do it right so what you need to do now is go back and do it right this time go back with me and i called my mom jamie and i didn't put the onus on my mom i just had to go back jamie and i had to deal with in a healthy way what i didn't deal with in a healthy way come on somebody i'm not telling you to call your parents or your girlfriend or your ex-wife i'm not telling you call your boss and go off on nobody i'm saying just go back to the place where you failed and fix it go back to the place you fail go back with god and when you go back to the place you fail go back with god so it can be fixed my trust ain't supposed to be in my mama anyway my trust supposed to be in the lord but i had to go back to my mom because she was still alive and just say to my mom yo mom explain what happened to me again because i was so angry at man i hear you i was so angry i was so mad that i ran away from home mom i'm sorry you wanted to talk to me you needed to be able to talk to me and i didn't let you talk to me i was so angry ma that i just left home and our relationship changed from that point four my i just want to come back tell me again what happened i want to receive the information in the way i should have received it god has given me a second opportunity he's given me a second chance talk to me ma and i'm sorry and as i move forward i'm going to try to restore the way i talk to you my the way i treat you my the way i deal with you my i got some fixing to do have mercy upon me amen i need you to go back and fix it first i need you to figure out where are you on the trust level number two once you figure out where you are be brave enough courageous enough to admit it don't put it on your parents don't put on your ex don't put on your boss don't put on that person and listen to me did they hurt you perhaps they did but i told you before if you give them the power then you can't they got the power take the power back by doing what you can do for you to fix you so that you don't stay in that spot first life did they do you wrong perhaps they did but you're going to stay stuck in that moment for the rest of your life it's like groundhog's day you still stuck in that moment you still stuck in that day and now the blessings the plans that god has for you he can't even give you the plans the financial plans he can't you can't even travel you can't do the stuff you want to do you bounce check to check that's not the spirit of god but it's some stuff that you're not dealing with some stuff you don't want to fix some stuff you don't want to heal to those of you who keep reading your bible at some point you got to stop reading your bibles for you all right at some point little homie you wanted to start reading your bible at some point oh gee you want to start reading your bible you have to fix some stuff at some point you're gonna have to stop praying hey man he already answered your prayer go talk to that person he already answered your prayer acknowledge it heal from it hallelujah here's the most important one in all your ways acknowledge him hallelujah proverbs 3 and 6 in all your ways acknowledge him and he will straighten your path that's the final one when you do what i just told you to do those are the steps to trusting go back to where yo you you you your trust was breached right because you didn't grow you didn't come into this earth not trusting you came in this church you came into this world with your mama holding you you've breastfeeding whatever you did going to people jumping off bit like you came in with trust at some point your trust was breached so your trust was hurt or your trust was damaged and you spent your life running and now you need to go back hallelujah praise god hallelujah come on somebody are you can you can you hear what i'm saying hallelujah lean not into your own understanding amen but in all your ways acknowledge him right so so here's the other one right so when i say acknowledge i want you to acknowledge your brand of temptation number two what's your brand of temptation that's what i'm talking about like that's what you got to go fix you got to go fix because i didn't trust that's my brand of temptation like i got some trust issues and as a result of that the devil is going to tip me through my i don't trust and so that's how he always going to come back you can't trust him man you can't trust cj you can't trust him man you can't trust dede man you can't trust the church man you can't he's going to always keep coming back to that right so do me a favor watch this sec first corinthians 10 and 13. no temptation has overtaken you hallelujah but such is common to man so what the bible is saying is ain't nothing happening you ain't never happened before the devil got uh one suit and five ties he got one or two suits and five times he keeps switching up it's the same suit it's the same stuff it's all common to man and god is faithful oh there it go again it's all through the word god is faithful meaning he ain't gonna switch up he's about to switch up he's about to change i'm the lord thy god i change if not that i keep telling you the problem is you keep changing you keep switching up the blessing and stay in you regardless of what happens stay you stay you stay who god created you to be stay you the blessing is you being you watch this and god is faithful and god is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you're able but with the temptation will provide the way of escape so that you will be able to endure amen as we close praise god from whom our blessings flow as we close number one come on holy ghost we got to keep that same energy y'all come on number one we gotta keep that same energy y'all we can't be switching up hallelujah number two we gotta we gotta we gotta be honest what's our brand of temptation we gotta be honest we got to confess god this is my brand of temptation like this is what i struggle with but watch what he says no temptation is going to overtake you amen god knows god know everything god knows all the time jesus christ came died on everything he went down here and was tempted such as every man so he already know the deal right and god is faithful meaning what he gonna give you the power he's gonna get his strength he's gonna give you everything you need but you gotta you gotta you gotta be real about what your temptation is because if you're not real about what your temptation is it's gonna overtake you every single time it's gonna overtake you every time your temptation gonna get the best of you so that's why you gotta admit it that's why you gotta be honest about it that's why you gotta know what which one it is and say which one it is and keep talking about it let god know which one it is let him know you know which one it is so that he can bless you hallelujah that you may be tempted beyond what you are able he's not going he's not going to let you but with the temptation will provide a way of escape so that you'll be able to do it father we come now in the name of jesus christ hallelujah hallelujah lord we can be faithful praise god we can be faithful we can do all things through christ and we want to be faithful we we were born to be faithful jeff we in this corrupt earth we were born to be we are in this corrupt earth we were born to be faithful we were born to be faithful we were born to be faithful we just live in this corrupt world and so help us to be faithful lord and so today you shared with us number one that one of the ways that we could be faithful is not allow the things around us father to trip us up but to be but to keep that same energy and to be who you call us to be number two to be honest about the temptation confess it it loses power when we talk about it it gains strength when we keep it secret it gains strength when we don't say nothing about it when we don't confess to you and we don't talk to our brothers and sisters who are in our circle that we could trust when we keep it to ourselves the devil has more power but when we share it hallelujah so give us the strength lord to be faithful because there are so many blessings in being faithful not so much so when we're unfaithful so watch over as god as protect us keep us forgive us for our sins and our shortcomings have mercy upon us lord according to our tender mercies blood out our transgressions and we will be so careful to give you all praise on and
