HOW TO APPLY FOR VISITOR VISA or TRV or TOURIST VISA FOR PARENTS AND SIBLINGS_INVITING PARENTS

[Music] hi everyone for today's video I am going to share to you how we apply for a temporary resident Visa or TRV for my mom and my brother to come here in Canada as a tourist so last September 2023 I gave birth to my second daughter that is why we decided to invite my mom and applied for her TRV so she will be able to meet her granddaughter luckily it took only like 7 days for it to be approved so right after the approval she sent her passport for Visa stamping few months later she mentioned that she was too scared and and not confident to fly by herself so she asked if she can ask my brother to accompany her but the problem with that is my brother doesn't have any Visa at all so we de decided to apply for my brother to come here in Canada and then we are so lucky and so blessed that his visa application was also approved and it took only 7 days as well and because my mom's and my brother's TRV was successful we are going to share to you what we did and the documents that we prepared and submitted but before we start let me remind you that this is just based on our personal experience and we are not expert about this to start with open your internet browser and type in IR cc. canada.ca then click English then you have to scroll down and find my application and then click sign in or create an ircc secure account here you can sign in if you already have an account or create an account if you don't have an account so click on register for an account then choose how you'll register and sign in using gy ke username and password or Canadian interact signin partner but for me I usually use jessii username and [Music] password on this page you can see sign in at the left or sign up at the right but since the first thing you have to do is to create an account so you have to press on sign up then you're going to read the terms and conditions of use and then accept then create your username make sure you follow the username checklist written at the right side then continue create your password follow the password checklist then continue once you've successfully completed your username and password you have to create your recovery questions answers and hints this will help you if you forgot your password then once done you have to provide your email and then your ready to go once you have your g account you have to sign in using your username and password click sign in and then continue then provide the onetime passcode sent to your email then press continue terms and conditions then accept then you have to answer the questions that you made earlier then press continue here you can see the applications that you submitted since you still have to apply to come to Canada scroll down and click apply to come to Canada enter your personal reference code if you have and if you don't select which one you want to apply select visitor Visa study and or work permit since we're talking about TRV then you have to answer these questions to find out if you're eligible to apply what would you like to do in Canada select a visit how long are you planning to stay in Canada select which one applies to you but for my mom we chose temporary less than 6 months then select the code that matches the one on your passport what is your current country territory of residence select which one applies to you select Philippines if you're from the Philippines do you have a family member who is Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is 18 years or older select yes or no since I am a permanent resident my mom chose yes then and put your birth date have you lived in Canada as a permanent resident or landed immigrant select yes or no and press next are you a lawful PR president of the United States with a valid US citizenship yes or no how are you related to your family member then answer which one applies to [Music] you what is your marital status what is your province of territory of destination and then press [Music] next based on the information you provided the results will show up here since we chose under 6 months for my mom and my brother so we can apply for a visitor Visa under 6 months then press continue the next you have to find out if you're eligible to apply and answer what is the main purpose of your visit we have proof of your relationship with a person who is inviting you to Canada yes or no answer if you have a job in the country where you are currently leaving and answer if you have a business in your country answer if you're depending on someone for financial support answer if you've traveled to other countries in the previous 10 years then click next answer if you're accompanying a family member that has a status in Canada or has recently been approved to come to Canada answer yes or [Music] no then click next then you have to answer if you ever been committed been arrested and so on and so forth and click next then answer if you had a medical exam performed by I an RCC authorized panel physician click next then yes or no if you want to submit an application for a family member then click next then select which one you prefer if you giving someone access to your application then next answer yes or no if you've given your fingerprints in the past 10 years then click next answer yes or no if you will be paying your fees or you are free exemp then next answer yes or no if you are able to make digital copy of your documents then next and answer yes or no if you will be paying your application fees online then click next then you're all done then you have to review your answers and edit if there are some mistakes and then press continue if you're good to go then here you'll see the steps of your application and additional information that you need to follow use your account and do not use any other person's account to submit an application you can continue your application at any time by logging to your own account and these are the information that you need to follow for your documents it should be less than 4 MB it should be PNG jpeg PDF and docs also your documents should be Electronics you don't need to sign your paper if you apply online so here are the documents that you need when you apply for TRV first is the application form imm5257 application for visitor Visa made outside of Canada next is the supporting documents you have to provide your passport invitation letter proof of means of financial support digital photo purpose of travel proof of relationship and family information IMM 5645 then the optional documents the schedule one application for a temporary resident visa and a client information if you want to add more information about your application so let's talk about this one by one first is the imm5257 just click on this and it will be downloaded to your computer once you're done filling out the application click upload file then click choose choose file then find where you save the file and upload your file you don't need to sign this form since it is an electronic document and you applied online then we're going to talk about the supporting documents first is the passport you must provide a copy of the page that shows your birth date and country of origin and the pages with stamps and visas next is the invitation letter I am the one who provided this letter since I am the one inviting my mom in this letter I provided my name where I work my relationship to the applicant as well as the duration of her stay I also mentioned that I will be the one responsible for the expenses of my mom's travel then I included where my mom will going to stay during her visit in Canada and lastly is the purpose of her visit next is the proof of means of financial support since I mentioned that I will be the one to cover all the expenses of my mom to come here in Canada I provided my letter of employment with my annual salary written on it as well as my pay stabs for the last four months since my mom is working in the Philippines we also provided her letter of employment next will be the digital photo these are the information that you need to follow for your digital photo they are so strict about this guidelines so make sure you follow all this or else your application will be returned or be delayed you can find this information in the website but I will also include this in the description box below next is your purpose of travel so these are the example below for my mom's application I provided a letter stating that I am inviting her to come to Canada because I wanted her to see her granddaughter since I just gave birth last September 2023 then I also mentioned that I want my mom to come here in Canada as she will be retiring this year so I want her to enjoy her retirement after working for how many years in the government next is the proof of relationship I provided my birth certificate as well as my Mom's birth certificate I also included our pictures together and with our family next is the family information just click on it and it will automatically be downloaded then find the downloaded file and fill it out now we'll talk about the optional documents first is the imm5257 same with IMM 5645 just click and then download and fill out the form it is an optional document but we still did this form and lastly is the client information this is where you can provide more information about your application that you have not already provided you can attach a letter of explanation to your application this is where we added a letter of her purpose of visit in Canada and as well as more pictures and also some property of my mom in the Philippines once you're all done with all your documents just click upload file then find the documents where you saved it here I have some suggestions on how to save your file name your file like this example the name of that document then underscore followed by your first name and last name this is for formality and uniformity another tip is when your file exists for MB you have to reduce it so you can upload the file I use I love PDF to reduce my file once you've successfully uploaded your file scroll down and then you have to pay for your fees for visitor Visa it cost $100 which is around around 4,000 pesos and then for Biometrics fee it cost $85 which is around $3,400 all in all you have to pay $185 if you have not done your Biometrics for the last 10 years if you had your Biometrics already you only have to pay $100 once you've uploaded your documents there's a button where you can submit your application after you paid your fee you can also save your application and return to complete it later so after you submitted your application you will be able to receive a confirmation of online application transmission you will be able to receive a message on your email about this new message on G ke but you have to open it here then you will be able to receive a submission confirmation then the next letter you'll receive is the Biometrics collection letter then once they receive your Biometrics you will get a correspondence letter and after they reviewed your application you will be able to to receive a letter if your application is approved or denied then you'll be able to receive the original passport request where you have to send your passport for Visa stamping so this is my mom's timeline she submitted her application last July 16 2023 and receive on the same day the submission confirmation as well as the Biometrics collection letter then we book an appointment for her Biometrics collection she did her biometrics last July 19 2023 and then we received the correspondence letter last July 21 2023 and on the same day we received the original passport request you can also see the details about your application status and your GC key after my mom's final decision last July 21 the review of Eligibility date changed to August 5 2023 because that was the time that her visa was already on her passport so for my brother's application we did the same thing just like what we did to my mom's application so here is my brother's timeline we submitted this application last November 21 2023 and received on the same day the submission confirmation the next day we received the Biometrics collection letter and made an appointment on the same day then last November 29 2023 we received the correspondence letter and the original passport request and last December 21 2023 his Visa was tapped on his passport there you go may all your applications be approved CAD dreamers
