How to Adjust the Ballcock Valve and Water Level in a Toilet Tank

hello everyone this is justin with green residential i made a previous video on how to adjust the water level in a toilet tank but i'd like to make an additional video with this system which is the older system this is the ball right here it's actually a float when the float drops the water goes on when it rises to the designated level it turns off now the way you adjust this is with this little screw right here so it's a flathead screwdriver and what you do is you just simply turn it like in this case i want to drop the water level you see where it's at so if i turn this right um hopefully it'll drop to a lower level so i'm letting some of the water out not a ton and i'm going to turn this a couple times so sometimes these things take a little bit of time to fully turn off all right so i'm actually comfortable with that height um it's it's definitely enough to flush the toilet but it's not higher than it really needs to be so anyways the recap righty tighty lowers the level lefty lucy raises the level so i hope this video helps if you found it helpful go ahead and hit the the like button you can also subscribe to this channel we put out videos like this regularly so you'll be updated with basic repairs that many homeowners can do and just general home knowledge uh on a regular basis well have a good day and bye for now
