hey guys welcome to another video on my channel my name is Tony and that's Rob diplomacy I Rob so in this video I'm gonna add some railings to this existing stay away tattoo into the backyard last week week Rob and I took out a window the sawzall down put a door in built the stairway yeah we should do the video of it we kind of ran out of time to get the camera rolling but in this video we're gonna put the railing down so that we're not ed that comes over she doesn't complain that there's no railings to get down the steps and that when you're at work mr. insurance guy isn't looking in the back [Applause] a small joking aside to come it comes down to safety as well we don't want anybody getting hurt coming out of the house in little swimming pool with their kool-aid or whatever the heck they're doing so we might add some me links this I'm not saying it's the right way or the wrong way but this is the way that we're gonna do it so that we can put the post up to the bottom of the railing doing it and the first thing that happened is we went into the house with the beer in each hand so I make everybody happy [Music] shred hey I'm gonna make up so you can hear me better video killed the stair East uh how's that hey you got all these nails kid hey thanks throw my nails over by the swimming pool that's pretty awesome hey what do you work for the city of Boston you've been working with like 30 seconds get back on the job right so what are we doing now yeah we got to cut these posts what Rob's doing a line marking out the place we need to notch this post so it sits flush against that tread and runner or whatever it's called right right so we kind of measured it out I need to notch out this beam so it's in line with the post up top so when we put everything together it's not going to be kicked out to the side so we're able to make one cut with a small star and now we're gonna use our table saw so now we just finished making that knot she took it off the table saw because it didn't go all the way through but it cut deep enough and we just finished it up with the super-cute saw that we have how does it fit Rob that looks pretty good to me so now we're gonna lag these posts into the bottom with a straight bottom little running here yep yep good yes [Applause] that's pretty good hey I just felt it sucking pretty good what are you doing as a love looking I'll be pretty plum and put some more screws in the shoulder priest sturdy yep then when you put the steer around our idols really firm that up hey how do you like that million you got from Harbor Freight diddly yeah it looks pretty good we pick up the snail gun from hoppip repealed late and we're banging out these with steely and to me the job lot easier at the time of the video is like 99 bucks okay so what we do now rub so you're getting some measurements trying to match that bottom rung right where you with the bottom slider that's going across so you have a scrap piece of wood that I'm making a tester with right Rob will cut in the actual wood right so cut those to make sure that the pits are okay then the world turns around out over into the piece of wood that we actually need to cut mmm alright so now we're gonna put this bottom run in place great sweetie needs me to go top yeah yep nope I don't st. oh now come up on the bottom and do something like this it's time to stop one I think it makes it a lot easier how the freight doing a lot of stuff around yeah let's pick one up looks pretty good you built this whole steel we using that thing so I'm back in the line cut the slant for the railing going down so we gotta cut that square piece off this is that rate Rob I think we should use a chainsaw with us yeah the guy Christmas vacation Rob needs support chakras long I get hit the other side yeah the chainsaw would even Bella great hey yo all right let's get the top piece on you Natalie jump up there yeah what's the link they left it's looking pretty good the eagle is impressive it's now gonna hang out the spindles on the stair we're going down you've got a piece of wood right here they're going to use their views too huh yeah there we gonna start the top so we can space these up there even with the ones we did the LA so they put the piece of wood in between they closed the circular lock and I'll make it a little bit easier for you okay oh yeah but as we go down the run will tie in the bottoms it makes a lot faster do it this way [Music] I'd have a fast easy way to get the spacing out of it [Music] right no I yeah I thought uh so - we're gonna cut that you need that one more one on the bottom on this right oh yeah yeah okay so we have to apologize but I'm we lost the audio on the camera we were filming but right here we have all the spindles in place using that piece of wood that we had for a mock-up and we get ready to put the bottom step in place so Rob this is currently well right now taking them some measurements on the Boyd because we have to notch it out together around these two posts so you're gonna want to take some measurements and they're gonna use the saw to cut the opening this out so we can inside this piece of wood around the posts and so that a little easy easily drop into place so I have this right you'll be circular saw the thing that's pretty awesome it's a small saw it's like animal I think like a seven or an eight inch bleed that's in it and I've used it on a number of projects right now Rob does using it to make the notches in the step so he went on the sides first and if you're really careful you can use like just the tip of the circular saw blade to kind of notch out the step we've done this on different projects that we've had and right here I'll show you so right now we're test-fitting the steer the back of the posts and we had to trim out a little bit more because it doesn't fit exactly right so we're gonna trim a little bit more out and we should easily be able to slide it and back of that post so right now we're gonna make a couple of final adjustments and you can see how easy the reciprocating saw can trim away at the excess pieces or the area that you wanted to trim back so just making a couple of final adjustments and then Rob is going to test fit this and back of the post so once we made these adjustments the stair head fit a lot better around the back of the post so we're gonna put that on please and now we can kind of nail it down so this is the final product all the railings have done the state looks great and Rob and I had done for the day I wish you could hear who is saying goes was pretty funny but run away to go have a cold one and I hope you liked the video don't forget to subscribe and ask a question leave a comment if you need to thanks for watching
