How to Add a Picture to a Shirt using a Cricut Maker

hello procrastinator is and welcome back welcome back so today moving away from the cup Turner is going back to my base all my cricket lovers because you know I still love my cricket I'm not getting rid of them so anyway so today we are going to do another put a picture on a shirt this time we're going to do a picture without the box around it but I will link the one where it does have the box so we're just going to quickly go through the process of printing and cutting a picture putting it on a shirt along with the same and you know preparing I thing to be able to wear so before we do please like subscribe hit that Bell thank you thank you thank you for watching and let's get started okay so the first thing that we have to do is go to design space and as you can see I've already set the words up in there now uploading the video which you have to hit the upload button in design space which is on your left hand side towards the bottom then you have to hit upload image hit browse and now as you can see I'm finding the image that I need I'm going to hit continue it populates it here where you can hit simple to complex I hit complex just because it is a complex photo from here it's going to allow you to then take out what you do not want so this is what I didn't do in the other videos that I wanted to do here as you can see I'm clicking the background and it is removing it so if you want an image that doesn't have a square around it or doesn't have the background of that image you can make those changes here by clicking on each individual piece to make sure that those pieces are deleted from the image file now I will say I did this this way where I'm click and it's taking small amounts away if you have a large background that you want to take away there is another option that allows you to erase that option is near the top left hand side where you can select erase and then it'll give you an option to again remove more at the at the same time so as as I'm doing right now so one thing you need to know about that is as you're looking at that that circle that's on the left hand side in the menu bar can make you delete small amounts of information on that or you can make it a large circle and delete large things at a time I would say be careful with this because I changed my hair shape a little bit as well as my arm shape to be honest because I was taken away too much at one time so once you've taken away everything that you need it you're gonna hit continue which is where I am now and so you see the green box around the print and cut that's the box that I want because of course I don't want just a silhouette of that will be cut out on in vinyl I want the print and cut option so I'm gonna select that you can also add name here as well as tags so once you have what you want you select that and then it puts it in your design space image library where you can then select it and upload it into design space so once you've made that selection like I said it will populate in design space let's taking a minute here depending on the size of your image is going to depend on how large it pops up in design space if my image was pretty large so as you can see I'm trying to find the edge of that box and I'm just going to size it from there by moving that edge up you know there is also a size option at the top of the menu bar that allows you to just if you know the exact size that you want you can size it there one thing I will say is print and cut only allows you to cut a nine point seven five by six point seven five I might have that wrong might be a nine point two five by six point seven five but you have to be if if it's wrong it's going to give you an error saying that your image is too large so it won't let you cut it if you try to make it bigger if you have a bigger image I would suggest that you slice it in half and that way you can put it back together when you're ironing it online so anyways but for this video I made it smaller than the image and here you can see I've hit make it and now the image is populated onto my mat the only thing that I did on this screen because I do have words and it is going on a shirt that shirt the shirts words have to be mirrored so that they will go the right way when you put it on the shirt so I did hit the mirror button and then I was able to hit continue it was looking for my my Cricut Maker here which I never had my plugged up when I do these videos I need to do that so once it found my Cricut maker then I was able to browse all materials at first I think I put in like printable heat transfer it didn't recognize that but if I just put in the word printable then it brought up everything that was a printable item including the one that I needed which was a printable iron-on dark if you're using the silhouette product that I use which I recommend you you you need to select that printable aren't dark so there I'm selecting that and going to the next thing which is here I noticed that I was on the wrong mat so if that happens just click on the other mat that is shaded a little differently and then I was able to send it to the printer I left the bleed option on if I do not have words within the print and cut image I normally leave the bleed on so that's completely up to you you can click it and click on it and click off of it and see what you like I did send that to the printer didn't show you the printer option in some of my other videos you can see that really it just goes to my HP you can use you don't have to have an HP you do need an inkjet printer you do need an inkjet printer so any inkjet printer will work and you can send it to that printer to print your image out I don't know how else to say that so but any printer will work I get a lot of questions about that so I just like to repeat that over and over again so as you can see I am now weeding it my image off of the printer paper and you'll see here I'm just going to trim it a little bit because when I was in the when I was uploading the image I didn't remove everything I thought I did but I didn't so that was an easy fix so I just cut that off but you could possibly reupload the image and fix that if that happened so there that is yep okay so we're back um everything had printed oh and been weeded so look so there that is here's my words and so we're going to go ahead and put this all on the shirt I have my easy press warming up to 305 I'm gonna do it for 20 seconds which is what I normally do before I put it actually down on the shirt I am going to take the press and put it over the material just so that you can prepare the material for the image and the words so we're gonna do that and then we're gonna put lay everything down and then we're gonna be done with this video so I thank you thank you thank you for watching let's see let's get this started we just heard though didn't go off so let me put the camera down here for you you can see that so this is what I mean when I'm gonna give it a once-over gonna go over this shirt where I know the image is going to go if you've watched any of my other videos which of course I will be putting at in within this video somewhere and you know I normally like to measure but I'm just gonna put that on there buh-bam got a little piece and stuff on there so I did cut the one little piece off here just because I didn't go through the whole editing process like I should so here's my sharing can change someone's world so I'm kind of just gonna do that along with my picture and this like said you could do anything with this whether it's something for your church or it's something for an event that you're having with the school or just an event that you're having with your family so you can use this for whatever you need to use it for to put any type of picture on a shirt it doesn't have to be a picture of a person you know if this could be for your business which I'll have that video where we did one for someone logo so again I'm sure this is not something that most people would use it for putting their own face on here but you know this is my example so again it's at 3:05 for 20 seconds I like to know if it suggested that you do but I like to as you saw at the beginning just run my press overtop of my image once just to kind of make sure it's moved down and so and I did make sure to smooth downs Oh even in doing that so now I got a few edges that are up that I'm just going to click off so you do that you dissipate some of that heat by shaking your shirt out a little bit and then you can go ahead and remove your transfer paper from your vinyl like I said I do have those two pieces that are up so you do want to make sure that you take care of that or make sure your all your edges are down and it's talking about my hair so edges make sure your edges are down lady or a gentleman and ba-bam there you have it so change someone's world today by doing something sweet you guys
