THE BEST DOLLAR TREE CRICUT SUPPLIES | TOOLS, BLANKS AND MORE!

hey guys welcome back or welcome if you're new in this video i'm going to be sharing with you guys a ton of different supplies that you can pick up from the dollar tree for your qriket machine now if you've watched my dollar tree haul videos then you know it's no secret that i love shopping at the dollar tree like a lot a lot but i thought it would be fun to put this video together and show you guys all of the different things that i've hauled from the dollar tree to use with my cricut machine now i have split this video up into four different categories so i have some tools supplies some blanks that you can use as well as some storage solutions and i will also be sharing a few of my past projects as examples of the products in this video before we get in to the video though i do want creativity thank you so much skillshare for sponsoring this video now let's get into some cricut supplies all right let's start off with some tools from the dollar tree that you can use with your cricut starting with these poker tools that have this scoring tool at the end these are perfect to use in weeding and they do come in a pack of two and so you have one that's a little bit thicker and then one that is a little bit thinner and these are perfect to grab the corners of vinyl and peel back if you don't have a pen pen these are an excellent option next we have this embossing tool that is two-sided and you can fit this into your qriket machine if you use the rubber pen grip hack and take out the housing just be careful because if you do do anything to your cricut or use any products that are not i guess cricut branded it will actually avoid the warranty of the cricut machine if something goes wrong so that is completely up to you i just wanted to warn you guys qriket does come with a one year manufacturer's warranty but again it's up to you if you want to play around with different hacks for your machine next are a few different tools that you can use when you are weeding your design to collect all the little pieces of vinyl first is this travel condiment or dressing container all you do is cut an x in the bottom and then you can use um this to collect all of those little pieces by just putting in your tool and then pulling out and then the container will just collect those little pieces of vinyl and then you can of course empty it by taking off the lid and then next is probably one of my favorites which is this nail polish holder and you can just hold it down with one hand while you're weeding and then put your little vinyl scraps in that this is one of my favorites and then probably my second favorite would have to be the lint roller and this has multiple uses not only is this perfect for sticking on little pieces of vinyl when you're weeding but you can also use this to hold anything that has a curved surface so like a water bottle or a coffee mug and keep it from rolling while you're trying to place your design on that product and also you can use this to of course remove lint from a t-shirt or a piece of fabric before you iron on your design and i do like to purchase the i guess bonus pack at the dollar tree of these lint rollers it comes with a regular size lint roller and then a mini size but dollar tree also sells the singles so just be on the lookout for the bonus pack because you can also get this mini lint roller for one dollar before you apply your vinyl design to something like a glass or a mug it's very important to clean the surface of that with rubbing alcohol in the beauty section or nail polish section of dollar tree they sell these containers that are actually a pump to hold nail polish remover but you can put rubbing alcohol in these and then you put your paper towel or pad whatever down and then it dispenses the perfect amount of product or rubbing alcohol to clean off your project in the cooking section you can find these large metal i think these are called dough cutters and i just put masking tape on the edge of mine and that is to protect my vinyl or my mat or my project when i use it as an extra large scraper so the cricut brand does sell the extra large scrapers which i believe is like the same length as the dough hook just make sure that you again cover um the the sharp edges just to make sure that you are protecting your vinyl and your design these next tools you can pick up in the crafter square section of dollar tree this six by eight cutting mat which is perfect for smaller projects and then this rotary or roller blade and it is perfect for fabrics and it also has this mechanism that you can lock the blade to keep yourself protected or to keep the blade protected when you're not using it and i love using this i use this one all the time it's just a lot easier for me to use instead of my scissors especially when i have a bunch of different designs that i have cut on one piece of vinyl and i need to separate them i like to use this versus scissors so these two are a definite must if you have a cricut machine having a razor blade in your cricut tools is very helpful especially when it comes to cleaning your mats as well as cleaning up different projects this i found in the tool bag tool bench section or tool section of the dollar tree it does come with this protective case to keep your hands protected and also to keep the blade protected when you're not using it and it does come with extra razor blades and i use this a lot when i clean my mats and also again when i clean up projects or i need to remove vinyl from something this works very well in the cleaning section of dollar tree you can find la's totally awesome all-purpose cleaner and degreaser and i love using this product to clean my mats i know some people say it removes like the tack and you shouldn't use this i personally have not had that issue and i clean my mats with this product all the time i either use a razor blade and a scraper and i just spray this product all over the mat and then i start at one end of the mat and kind of work my way up scraping all of that gunk up and then going back with the baby wipe and removing everything from the mat and then the scraper and again i have been using this and i have not had any issues with this product removing the tack from my mats and i use it over and over again on the same mat and i still haven't had that issue so i highly recommend this product in the oral care section of dollar tree or the toothbrush section they sell this oral care kit and inside the kit you get this hook this double ended hook that almost looks like a cricut weeding hook or weeding tool and so here is what it looks like so it is two-sided so if you don't want to if you don't want to buy the whole cricut basic tool set because i don't think you can purchase the hook alone i may be wrong but if you don't want to buy the whole kit because you just want to replace the hook you can pick up one of these oral care kits from the dollar tree and it's only a dollar for the hook and then you also get a tool brush or toothbrush a tongue scraper and a little mirror that you can use to brush your teeth alright so now that we've talked about some different tools that you can pick up from the dollar tree let's talk about some supplies that you can also pick up from dollar tree to use with your cricut machine starting with these adhesive glitter paper sheets these come in an assortment of different colors they come three to a pack and i found these in the office supply section these are by jot and you would use these just like you would a vinyl so you just set your cricut machine to the vinyl setting and this again does have an adhesive back so you would just apply it like you would a i guess non-permanent vinyl and these are a great inexpensive option to decal different projects next is this four pack of poster board sheets by jot these are like a heavy card stock and they're perfect to use in your qriket machine to cut out different things for paper crafting one of the most frequently purchased or one of the most popular supply items to buy from the dollar tree for your qriket machine are these quick cover or magic cover drawer and shelf liners now these work just like a removable removable vinyl so you would set it the settings in your qriket machine you would just use the vinyl setting and it is very thin so sometimes i notice i have better luck when i use less the less pressure setting on my cricut machine but i use this transparent magic cover roll the most and i use this as a transfer tape for my cricut projects this is a very inexpensive option to buying a roll of transfer tape off of even amazon or anywhere else this works very well um i've used it a ton in different projects another amazing product that you can pick up from the dollar tree is this magic cover book liner or book cover liner these i usually find during the back to school months usually august late july august in the school supply section these are not always available at least in the stores that i've been to again usually i find them during back to school and they come in a variety of different colors and i love to use these to make stencils instead of using like my good vinyl these also work well as a removable vinyl if you have a project it says on here they're perfect for books notebooks posters lunch boxes and things like that and again i love using these to make stencils instead of wasting my good vinyl all right now let's talk about a few different pens that you can use with your qriket machine to write and draw and i'm going to start with the pens that i have found that can be used with the cricut housing without having to remove it and those are these jot washable markers with the fine tip i found that these work fine without having to remove the housing and then next we have these ink color flow felt tip pens that work well in the housing as well and dollar tree has a ton of different pens and i'm gonna tell you guys about a little hack some of you probably already know about it um but a way to use more pens or more options of pens with your cricut machine is actually to remove the housing and then use a rubber pencil grip and then cut one end open and then you can put your pen in there and then stick it inside of clamp a without the housing and again um it's up to you but anything if something goes wrong or if you apply too much pressure and you accidentally break clamp a it does void your warranty so it's up completely optional and up to you but i have found that these um little pen grips work really well with the jot permanent markers sold at dollar tree i have a bunch of them and they work really well as well as the r2 rollers roller pens but again you can use a bunch of different kinds of pens if you use that rubber pen grip hack and if you can't find the grips sold at dollar tree sometimes they have them sometimes they don't go ahead and look in the pen section and you can find these mechanical pencils that come with a rubber grip and then you can just take them off and then cut one end open and then score you have rubber grips and mechanical pencils for one dollar all right now let's talk about some different blanks that you can purchase from the dollar tree for your qriket projects and to be honest there's endless possibilities at the dollar tree of things that you can pick up to decal or to create with your cricut but i'm going to share a few of my favorites with you guys starting with t-shirts yes dollar tree does sell t-shirts and some of the brands that i have seen roll through dollar tree have been haynes gildean fruit of the loom some of those shirts are in here but i love that i can pick up a t-shirt from the dollar tree for one dollar and here's an example of a shirt that i made for my husband with a dollar tree shirt i made this for him when we went to disneyland last year so i love making t-shirts all the time and i love again that dollar tree sells name brand t-shirts hats or ball caps are also an amazing blank to pick up from the dollar tree they usually have an assortment of colors and here is an example of one that i did um again for our disney trip last year with a dollar tree hat the water bottles from dollar tree are probably one of my favorite things to decal and i like to pick them up during the summer months because that's usually when they have the best colors the brightest cute colors so i absolutely love picking up the dollar tree water bottles pretty much all of the glassware at dollar tree are amazing blanks to pick up for your cricut for me especially the wine glasses and like the mason jar canisters and jars and things like that those are some of my favorite things to decal and then of course we have mugs blank dollar tree mugs are also perfect to use as blanks and i recently made this one for spring and easter and i do have a video up on my channel as well of when i made this mug another one of my favorite blanks to decal from the dollar tree are these plastic egg containers that i pick up in the cooking section and i've noticed that they aren't always in a stock but when they are i usually buy a bunch of them because i like to make these as gifts for my family and friends and i come up with a bunch of funny sayings and put them right here on this big blank space and i'll leave a picture up of some of the funny egg container projects that i made another one of my favorite blanks that they sell at the dollar tree are the oven mitts and pot holders and i use my htv or heat transfer vinyl for these projects and they come out looking so cute i do have a tutorial um a very beginner friendly easy tutorial of how i do that so go check that out if you're interested but these are some of my favorite blanks and again these come in a variety of different colors pretty much all of the wood craft items in the crafter square section make amazing blanks i specifically like the plaque style blanks or the sign blanks for qriket projects but definitely check out your crafter square section because you can find a ton of different things that you can decal with your cricut machine a project that i'm getting ready to do is actually to transform these earbud cases that i found in the electronics section in to mask holders so all i'm going to do is to cut out some permanent vinyl and then i can put someone's name on here or i can create a cute little design and again they're made for earbuds but with the i guess us having to wear masks right now i think this would be like a really cute option to like maybe put on a kid's backpack so they don't forget their mask and it's a little holder for that so definitely check out all aisles in your dollar tree because you never know what um you can find to use as an awesome cricut blank all right now i'm going to show you guys a few different storage options that you can pick up from the dollar tree to hold some of your cricut supplies i'm going to start off with this basket i just use it to store my rolls of vinyl in and then i place it at the bottom of my bookshelf and it just keeps things looking neat and organized and i know there's a few different things or hacks that you can pick up in like the cooking section more specifically the um i think they're like plate racks and then you can hang them on the wall i don't really have a lot of space as you can tell left on my craft wall so i like to just store them in here for organizing your different vinyl scraps these poly envelopes are perfect for that they come two to a pack and they do have like this slide out option to be able to like put it in a binder so i just created different folders for different types of vinyl so like i have removable vinyl right here and again you can pull this out and put it in a binder so it's easy to just like flip through so i made one for removable vinyl i made one for transfer tape and permanent vinyl and then htv and these just keep things nice and organized and it doesn't take up a lot of space because again you can just put these in a binder a couple more options for organizing your vinyl scraps are actually like the coupon organizers from the office supply section of dollar tree so here is one option is just a little organizer the only problem with this is you can't really um see through it but you can of course like um label the tabs and put things in there and then this one i thought was really neat to use for that as well but this one has like a clear option and different pockets that are clear so you can see and it actually folds out like an accordion um but different pockets so you can place different kinds of vinyl in that's also an awesome option the sunglasses holders from dollar tree are perfect to organize different supplies for your cricut so you can put like cricut pens in here or you can put cricut tools in here as well and keep them neatly organized and together inside of your desk or on top of your desk or wherever you like to store things but i like it how it has this closure on it and it's just so super cute and i usually find these on like the sunglasses stand or the eyeglasses stand on a little clip strip and the very last thing i have for this video is just this little snack organizer or snack box they actually come two to a pack and
