How to add a ADDON ymap to your fivem server

this is going to be a tutorial on how to add i don't know why maps to your server so it'll be pretty simple you don't have to know any lure or anything nothing crazy just follow along and it'll be pretty easy so first you need to go to your server's resources i'm doing this on a test server but it'll be the same if it's live or test doesn't really matter so i'm doing this in just sort of a folder to keep everything organized but it doesn't matter really where you do it as long as it's in the resources folder so now i'm gonna make a folder that houses the resource you can call it whatever whatever you call it that's what you're gonna need to add to the server cfg so now we can get started the first thing to do is we're going to make a fxmanifest.lua and what that's going to do is just basically tell the server that it's a resource and then it's also ymap all right so now that we have it open um we're only going to write i think it's three lines of code and they're all required if you find some other things you want to add that's fine but i like to just keep mine simple so here's an example all right so now that we have these lines of code we're done with the whole fx manifesto that's really the hardest part everything else is really really simple so now we just save this and we're done with this now we're going to make a folder called stream this is actually going to house the ymap files and this way i mean it just keeps it organized that's why i like to do it so make a folder called stream and we'll put all the ymap files now it's time to find the white map so if you don't have one already you can find them at gta5mods.com which is here um i did not make this he did right here so i'll have his link in the description and also um not all imaps work they're kind of weird um most of them do but you want them to say add-on they don't say add-on most of the time they work and so i'll go ahead and download this all right so here we have a few things don't need uh screenshots for this we're going to go into ymouth i'm going to do with lights just because it's recommended and here are right map files so all we're going to do is very simple the y-map files go into the stream and that's the y-map all we need to do is add it to cfg and test it and then it's done so now we're at the server cfg i suggest putting y-mops fairly high up um you don't want them to be the first thing to start but you definitely don't want them to be the last thing to start another side note never restart start or really stop why maps while players are in game um they really only should be started in cfg when the server starts you'll cause crashes if you do that so please keep in mind don't restart them don't start them don't stop and while players are in game you'll crash them so now i've updated my cfg and i'll see you guys in the server so now as you can see i'm in the server ignore all the xyz coordinates that's just stuff for other scripts but that's the y-map right there i'm gonna get closer to it in a second but it's not simple buy maps aren't that difficult um here let's move up to thousands of years ago and here you go here's the one up um it's pretty simple to do not too difficult and yeah that's it
