Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Imagine if it had actual thrust reversers. I don't ever use the TR on the 7x because it's not nearly as efficient as other planes. Brakes seem to work just fine
A short field performance demonstration that is amazing
Big planes have pretty amazing performance when they are super light. I assume this falcon was nearly empty since they probably also are planning to depart. It's just not mission practical to be empty all the time.
Some friends would talk about empty repositioning flights from sfo to lax in the 747-400 and apparently it was out of this world flying the queen of the skies at half weight.
Every rich dude in East Hampton (KHTO) is ordering an 8X now...
The 170s unfactored landing distance is like 1800 feet (I forget which weight). Thats inclduing landing 1000 feet down the runway with no reversers. Shit is cray
If you put 'em down on the numbers, max brakes on a dry runway and you're super light, aren't MOST bizjets going to stop in a similar distance?
The only way this is unique is if this plane has an abnormally low VRef or abnormally good brakes, right? Are either of those the case?
smh. A 727 can do it in a runway only 400 ft longer.
Pshhh we can do that too! Sure, we may weigh 25,000 pounds less but still ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Is takeoff distance shorter on these small jets than landing? I always thought landing was the easy part distance-wise.
