I'm here in Laredo Texas um we actually bought this vehicle in Monterrey now Leon and then we drove it to uh Houston because we were bringing back some jet skis but the titles didn't come in time and the truck has been just sitting around for about three weeks so we decided to come and get it and so in this video I'm taking you guys on our journey all the way to Puerto we've taken this route pretty much ever since we moved to Puerto Vallarta that's the only route we've ever taken we always go through the toll road because it's safer it's nicer Road in case you have a breakdown or an accident they come and help you so from here once we cross Laredo we're going to cross into Nuevo Laredo from there it's like about two and a half hours to Monterrey we're gonna spend the night there we have some friends there we spend the night and then tomorrow tomorrow we're gonna leave real early in the morning because we're gonna have a very long day 10 hours driving straight all the way to Guadalajara so we take the route towards San Luis Potosi and then to Guadalajara okay all this like I said is the paid toll road and then from Guadalajara we will probably arrive um later on in the evening tomorrow so we're gonna be very tired and all that stuff so we're just gonna spend the night there and then first thing in the morning again Tuesday we will head to Puerto Vallarta which is about five hours from Guadalajara okay so that is the route we're taking and I'm gonna show you a few things that we see along the way hopefully everything is fine and if not you will get to experience it with this so let's get going so we're actually gonna cross through the Juarez Lincoln international bridge into Nuevo Laredo once you cross into Mexico there'll be indications to take a left to Monterrey and then basically you're just gonna do uh kind of like a route um through the outskirts of the city we're not actually going to go in through the city in the middle of now and this is usually the route we always take it's pretty easy and the indications are very clear um I know a lot of people go through the Columbia Bridge we've only crossed through there one time when we were crossing with our boat um that route is is perfectly fine also but it is a little bit further out from the city okay so in this case we're taking the outskirts of the city no Laredo and then we're gonna take the toll road into Monterrey we're officially let's go Monterey left [Music] it is dollars 120. this was six dollars number two what do we got here we have two eight so we are about an hour away or so from Monterey right we did a little stop here at the Oaks so to get some snacks because we're getting hungry and sleepy and I got some tacos so here we don't got no drive-throughs no McDonald's on the thing we got these people right here waiting outside oh The Oaks are like selling the tacos and what they have burritos and other stuff right we'll see if you don't get diarrhea sometimes I don't trust them but you're gonna do it if I get diarrhea it'll be worth it yeah we're all good yeah and we've arrived to Monterey our friends actually live right at the entrance and we are gonna enjoy our evening by grilling some steaks [Music] time to go again we're taking the toll road outside of Monterey towards Saltillo this will avoid you to go in through the city of Saltillo and instead we're gonna go around it and then once you hit something you're gonna go towards the indications of San Luis Potosi again toll road it's very easy especially if you put it on Google or Apple Maps I need to record these little funny trees that we call Dr street it's actually pretty green last time we passed here it was pretty dry that's nice okay this is the third toll stop and it is 68 pesos I'll let you guys know once we get to Vallarta how many how much we spent total for the tools Mike is a little sleepier no 31 I'm sorry 31. I'm driving it's my turn to drive for a little bit pretty calm but the eventful has happened we got a lot of traffic everything's smooth have you feared for your life no in her life or seen anything scary how do you feel about these trees do you feel like you're in a Dr Seuss book I guess not too much here it was further where I reported where are we headed right now um we're gonna pass San Luis Potosi not the city that's it around like and they were headed to Allah I think it sit there five and a half hours five hours now where are we gonna stay I don't know we have no plans yet all right we're at another outside baseball to see it was 85. William Guy how do you feel driving VD I'm tired of it you're having fun the reason that we come through San Luis and not Zacatecas is because a lot of our friends tell us that it's much safer to drive through San Luis and when we could get to San Luis we actually take this toll road that goes around the outer uh edge of it so you don't actually have to go into the City and deal with traffic or anything like that so cool about an extra 30 minutes to come through San Luis instead of Zacatecas but uh everybody that knows tells us not to go through Zacatecas if we don't have to 69 . you got Texas foreign [Music] foreign [Music] part of the road that's about I would say 30 45 minutes or so is a little interesting because as you guys can see it's only uh one way uh straight and then another way going the other direction and then the people pass you buy through the middle of the lane you've got even 18 lunars passing you through there so it's it gets a little interesting [Music] foreign [Music] because I'm extremely hungry we're about less than two hours away from the city we finally made it to Guadalajara with everything going very smoothly on the road and we finally booked a hotel we're staying at the Hard Rock Hotel that's actually off the main highway so that way it's easy for us to get back on the highway and head over to Puerto Vallarta the next day this is our final Journey towards Puerto Vallarta it's about a four and a half hour to five hour drive from Guadalajara depending on traffic and we're taking the toll road again except that we are gonna make a quick stopped right outside of tequila Jalisco to pick up some of our favorite tequila so we are actually taking the free Road for a little bit and then we'll get back on the toll road as you will see this is what happens when you come through the library you go through all the little towns you have to go over a bunch of doll base slow down and then speed up and then [Music] this place is right off the road and it was not foreign [Music] brand I'm not super excited yet because I have any breakfast I might decide to stop at the tequila place first I guess that's fine it needs to hurry it up because I want to eat breakfast [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] that's been built from Las Vegas all the way to Puerto Vallarta right now there's only a small section open in Las Vegas and then it exits or it ends around Lo De Marcos we decided to take it it was only about 15 minute drive we didn't have to pass through all the little towns like La penita in guayabitos but it was 94 pesos around five dollars and I really felt like it was not worth it because there was really not any traffic at the moment and I think we would have done about the same time if we would have just gone um through the regular Road I feel like this is probably gonna be better if you are coming on the weekends and there's a lot of traffic and eventually I can see the potential of it once it's complete well I saw a sign on the store but apparently you still need a face mask in Nayarit and we have that same problem in time only bus when we stopped at an Oxo in right outside of Louisville crazy so this trip from Texas to Puerto Vallarta took a total of three days 14 tools and the charges for the tools was a thousand eight hundred and eight pesos which is around 90 US dollars I also suggest you guys go check out the Facebook group on the road in Mexico it has a lot of valuable information people share their routes updates tips you can ask questions and much more so definitely go check that out it will be a very valuable resource for you guys thank you guys for joining us on this adventure from Texas to Puerto Vallarta don't forget to subscribe if you guys have any comments questions tips or anything else you want to share leave it down on the comments below thank you guys for watching and we'll see you in my next video bye foreign [Music] [Music] foreign
