I wish the narrator would stay quiet more often so I could hear the music he was talking about.
For a video about music, the sound levels are all screwed up. His voice over is way too loud to the point that I have to lower the volume. Then the parts where it's showing a scene as an example it's super quiet, so much that even at full volume I can barely hear the music he's trying to describe.
Plus he describes something for like over a minute, only to play a 2-3 second clip.
Michael Giacchino is far and away one of the best composers in cinema and television. Ignore the work he has done with Pixar and just look at something like "Lost", the music made that show in many respects.. He is a master.
UP crushes souls.
I was pretty much crying the entire time that video was playing.
This was a good video. Surprised it's not higher up in r/videos
Daniel Bryan does Youtube videos now...
I thought most good composers do this for movies with any sort of emotional depth. They develop a core theme and play it repeatedly over the course of the film, sometimes varying it. They even parodied it with like the two versions of America, Fuck yeah in Team America
I would have enjoyed it more if the guy would've stopped talking long enough to let me hear some music!
