There are legends about the life of Arab
sheikhs. Eastern rulers love to show off their wealth - palaces, yachts, fast cars - but
they don't like to talk about their personal lives. Many of them don't advertise the number
of their wives, not to mention their children.
The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has a lot of children and no one knows exactly how
many. We did kind of investigation, exploring the hidden corners of the web and
finding out how many children he really has.
Right now, we are going to tell you about his
children in the order of birth. Some of them you probably didn't even know about.

Sheikha Manal is Mohammed's first child. When
Sheikh Mohammed was 23 years old, he met his first wife, Randa, who was from Lebanon. When the
baby girl was 5 months old, her parents divorced and Sheikh Mohammed forbade her mother to see
her daughter. Since then they have never met.
Sheikha Manal is now involved in politics,
she founded the Dubai Women's Organization, which supports women's rights.
In February 1979, Mohammed had another daughter, Wejdan. There is much mystery and little
information surrounding her. It's not known who her mother is. Sheikha Wejdan has an Instagram
page which her Al Maktoum siblings subscribe to.
Sheikha Maitha. Her mother is an Algerian,
Houria Ahmed Lamara. Maitha has practiced martial arts professionally and has
won many international awards.
Maitha is an excellent horsewoman. She organized
the first women's polo tournament and later her team set a world record by winning 5 major
tournaments in a row in both the UAE and the UK.
Sheikh Mohammed really wanted a son, but
in November 1980 he had another daughter by his senior wife Sheikha Hind. There are only
childhood photos of Hessa on the Internet.
Finally, in March 1981, Mohammed's
first son Marwan was born from a German wife whose name is unknown. The
boy was born fair-haired and blue-eyed, which made him very different from Mohammed's
other children. Marwan now lives in Dubai and runs an investment fund. There is a question why
the ruler of Dubai didn’t make him crown Prince, because of his too European appearance or because his mother was not of royal blood? If you

Sheikha Shamsa is another daughter from Sheikh’s
Algerian wife Houria. When she was 19 years old, Shamsa tried to escape from her formidable
father, but she was caught in England and returned to her homeland. And for more
than 20 years, her fate has been unknown.
Sheikh Rashid was the second son of the ruler
of Dubai. He loved horses and won many endurance races. Rashid was supposed to be the Crown Prince,
but rumor has it that his addiction to drugs and wild temper closed his path to the throne. He
died in 2015 under mysterious circumstances.
Sheikh Mohammed's most famous son, the Crown
Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan. He too, like Rashid, was born of Sheikha Hind. He
really deserves to be the ruler of Dubai, because he is already doing a lot for his country
and helping people. He is also fond of poetry and writes poems, just like his father. He likes
sports, falconry, photography and spending time with children. He is likely to have many
children, too, like his father Sheikh Mohammed.
Sheikha Latifa was born in 1983 of a Lebanese
wife, Delila Aloula. Following in her father's footsteps, Latifa was passionate about horseback
riding, writing poetry and painting. She is now head of the Dubai Department of Culture and Arts.
Sheikh Maktoum is another son of Sheikha Hind. Did you notice that she gave birth four years
in a row, and each time in November? Sheikh Maktoum is the UAE Minister of Finance. He was
appointed Deputy Ruler in February 2008 when his older brother Hamdan became Crown Prince. Sheikh
Maktoum is actively involved in the development of technology projects and startups in Dubai.
The infamous Sheikha Latifa, daughter of Mohammed's Algerian wife Houria. In 2018 she,
like her older sister Shamsa, tried to escape her father. She was helped by British friends, but
the influence of the ruler of Dubai was stronger and she was forcibly returned home and kept locked
up in a villa with bars on the windows. In 2021, photos surfaced online that suggested Latifa was
on the loose again. But there was no official information about her current whereabouts.
Sheikh Ahmed is another son of Sheikh Mohammed by his senior wife Hind. He is chairman of
the Knowledge Foundation and the National Olympic Committee. By the way, in 2019
Sheikh Mohammed had a lavish wedding for his three sons at the same time, Hamdan,
Maktoum and Ahmed married on the same day.
Sheikha Maryam, the daughter of the Lebanese
wife Delila Aloula. She is very fond of horses, like many members of the Al Maktoum dynasty.
Sheikh Majid is another child of Algerian Sheikha Houria. Apparently, he also has a rebellious
nature, like his sisters Latifa and Shamsa, because he chose his own bride and married
against his father's wishes. For that, he was removed from his position as chairman
of the Culture and Arts Department of Dubai.
Sheikh Saeed was born of mother Hind. He
doesn't like to advertise his life too much, but sometimes appears at various social events.
Little known fact, but the Sheikhas named Latifa are actually three. Latifa III was born
of senior wife Hind. She married the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Fujairah in 2009.
Sheikh Mansoor is the child of Mohammed's Algerian wife Houria. Mansoor is the chairman of the Sports
Council of Dubai and is involved in charity work. As you may have noticed, all children by Houria

Sheikha Maryam II was born of senior wife, Hind. She is married to Sheikh Khaled
bin Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, a member of the ruling Abu Dhabi dynasty.
Sheikha Shaikha, another child of Sheikha Hind. She is married to Bahraini Crown
Prince Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, they have 5 children. Sheikh Mohammed
marries off his daughters very profitably.
According to information from the royal
forum, Sheikh Mohammed has another son, Suhail Abi Rached. He is not recognized by his
father and now lives in Lebanon with his mother.
Sheikha Mahra, also known as Christina. The
daughter of Mohammed's Greek wife Zoe Grigorakis. She is very impressive, does not wear a hijab, and is popular not only in the UAE. By
the way, she just recently got married.
Sheikha Futtaim, the daughter of Sheikha
Hind. She can often be seen riding a horse, as she is very fond of equestrian sports.
Sheikha Dalal is the daughter of the Lebanese wife of Sheikh Mohammed Dalila Aloula. She is a
medical intern at the Dubai Health Authority and will soon become a doctor in psychiatry.
According to unofficial information, Sheikh Mohammed had a wife from Turkey, her
name is unknown. Sheikha Ela (or Haya?) was born of that wife. In addition, some sources claim
that Dalal was also born of the Turkish wife.
There are two youngest daughters by Sheikha
Hind, Sheikha Salama and Sheikha Shamma.
And the last two children of Sheikh
Mohammed are the children of his wife Haya bint Al-Hussein of Jordan.
Sheikha Al-Jalila and Sheikh Zayed. In 2019, Princess Haya fled from her
husband to London with her children, fearing for her life... But that's another
story we'll tell in another video.
