Mojang Wouldn't Fix 1.20 So I Did

in this video I'll be upgrading the 1.20 update because to be honest I was pretty underwhelmed how much you announce was coming so I'll be adding a new structure a boss fight and low and low to what could be the best I wanted to keep the train quite simple since it should act more as a supporting feature than the main focus so I went with simple colors and only some minor darkening of the Shadows I'm actually quite happy with how the terrain turned out we have some flattering areas for the trees but it still feels like you're in a mountain range with the terrain taken care of it was time to move on to one of the most important things of the update the cherry blossom biome I'm building this map in a 1.19 update since a lot of the tools that I need for building aren't available for 1.28 so I can't use the new blocks but these trees should do a good job at complementing the colors of the temple and bringing some life to the terrain a really neat trick that I picked up from mindlessly scrolling Tick Tock all day is something called the forced perspective by changing the skill of objects we can make them appear larger or smaller than they actually are and we can use this trick to make our terrain seem bigger than it actually is by making The Faraway tree smaller and the ones up close bigger we can create the illusion of a fast landscape truly an Engaged player into the build with it Terrain in the trees out of the way it's time to move on to the main build of the project the temple but before I start I should probably explain why I chose to build this but in order to do so we have to go back all the way to 2011. notch has just added what would become the last dimension of Minecraft the end with it came newly generated structures called end cities and I thought to myself wow those look really bad I mean wow these look like upside down temples so I waited patiently for over 10 years hoping Mojang would finally end something to confirm my suspicion nah just kidding I forgot about it today after but I do think they look like dimples so the addition to the gym Blossom biome finally gives me an opportunity to add something that can play to Minecraft's lore but we'll dive deeper into this later for the structure itself I was inspired by ancient Japanese temples that announced Traditions older than the monks who build them and because they look pretty cool I wanted to make sure that the skeleton of the build was proportioned correctly if the shape on base is not right I can't hide behind any details to fix it and after Lighting on the shape that I liked I got started on the roofs for the first floor I wanted to use what's known as a gable roof well that sounds like building terms and no one cares but I think I landed on something that looks pretty good this Temple will serve as a place of wisdom for anyone daring to explore it and it will house great treasure and mystery speaking of mysteries I should probably tell you about the boss that I want to add to this Temple but in order to do so we have to go back all the way to the construction of it according to the Scrolls found in Old temples construction sites were plagued by Nature's creatures whose homes were left destroyed to make plays for the new temples filled with rage these creatures attacked the construction workers and clean the lives of many of them we're now doomed to dwell the very tombs they build and they were given a punishment far worse than death their souls were trapped and displayed in the temples waiting to be awoken by someone foolish enough to release them the boss for adding to this update will have four different attacks a blast of air from its mouth a spinning attack where it shoots serving of Air One responds four zombies and one final attack where it sits and howls now I'm no programmer so I ain't the spam and 250 dollars on models and data banks but this does mean that you can actually play the map too the Free World download will know how the temple came to be and what it was used for we can finish the exterior and focus on the inside I don't want to force explorers to battle the wolf as soon as they enter so to make sure that that doesn't happen you have to hold right click on the case in which giant is stored but since I want the temple to feel like it's actually being used I decided to fully decorate the inside with things that you might find in extra temples such as an area to prey fight eat oraja mountains I also added some upper floors for the oldest and wisest monks to store their ancient books and Relics you might be able to find something here on your travels too with the tempo fully finished I wanted to add one big tree to really bring it all together and after adding some final details it was all ready to go so after a few days of waiting my developer and model artist got back to me with the finished data pack so it was ready to play [Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you everybody [Music] [Music]
