How good were the original U20 team in Blue Lock?

sup today I'm going to be talking about something I really have seen nobody talking about in the blue lock community and that is how good were the u20 players before the Neo egoist League the u20 game has a lot to unpack so let's get into it first let's start with who I think was the worst player on the team which is wakatsuki most of you probably don't know his name because he did almost nothing with him later being subbed out for shidu wakatsuki must have been pretending to be a statue because he didn't move an inch on most of his attempts to stop the ball from the blue lock 11 a player that actually does wakatsuki job was the Japanese u20 midfielder hayate hayate didn't do that much in the game but showed some good skills that could have been expanded upon by the author for example hayate has very good analyzing and spatial awareness abilities mid u20 game get to see Hyatt's thoughts and how he is closely analyzing all threats on the field and lands on is Sagi being the biggest threat on thei field and the prediction was accurate and if it wasn't for Barrow unpredictably stealing the ball from his own teammate hayot would have successfully analyzed and stolen the ball for his team hayad also shows a great passing ability which he uses a few times now let's talk about the Wingers kitsuna zado and Cho many people don't realize the actual contribution these two made to the u20 team they both are competent passers and show great teamwork ability most important they both had shot attempts that really boost their stocks Cho was the first of the pair to shoot and the only reason he didn't make the shot was due to Nico attempting to tackle him limiting his shot course this is kind of crazy feat wise because that means Cho had a better shooting ability than Sendo kitsuna a as well takes a shot later and it was barely blocked by Rio kitsun aado was also able to hit a sombrero flick P to Cho which implies a good spatial awareness ability being that the pass was a perfect one this and Cho showing a great trapping ability make this pair top contributors to the team besides some others now let's talk on the backline DAR Naru IU and Neo first let's talk about the left and right backs D and neru first D Dy is someone who is a complete counter of Otoya due to being a complete copy of him with them sharing the same weapon which is getting behind the opponents and sneaking past the main reason Otoya didn't really do much in the match was due to DAR keeping him on locks the whole time he was in almost like how Lorenzo was to Kaiser other than this darai didn't do much else but still if he was focused upon probably could have evolved to a player almost like Lorenzo also while editing this all my stocks in bro fell because no way you get caught looking like this anyway let's continue now for nuu neru tee is a speed type Defender and can be argued to be in top 10 fastest in the the whole series similar to daai Naru was a direct counter to yukia's Speedy dribble style sadly even with all his potential he doesn't look like he's making the top 23 now for the fullbacks IU and Neo the more notable member of this Duo is undoubtedly IU with Neo even calling himself IU's dog or in other words a person to help IU defend and pick up his scraps he also is prep PF the most physically powerful players we've seen Oliver IU was the captain of the u20 team and besides maybe gagamaru and Lorenzo is the best defender we have seen so far aiku also shows a powerful shooting ability as he used to be a striker before becoming a Defender now let's talk about the main offensive players of the team Sai Sendo and Shido these three players besides aeku were the main creators of chances for the u20 team in their game out of these three there was a dynamic duo creating many chances for goals Shido and Sai Sai is the brother of Ren and is the New Gen 11 Prodigy who has an innate Talent of hitting perfect passes shido's weapon is a 100% spatial awareness and scoring ability in the box and paired with size reflexive Ultra accurate passes these Madmen were pumping out chances constantly and tiring out the blue lock 11 Sai and Shido created two goals and has from what I know four other chances at goal that the blue lock 11 were barely able to shut down sendoso is the ex Ace of the u20 team many hold the narrative that Sendo was mediocre in the game but he did really help on the offense many don't realize how fast Sendo really is it's almost like bro teleports because you'll be seeing him on one side of the field and then you blink and he's saving a goal Sendo really reminds me of isagi when it comes to his amazing positioning it's funny too because this so-called Ace Striker is one of the best defensive players in the series in the game Sendo Takes Two Shots in total and makes onew passes with Sai and Shido him and Sai did make some chances but they were all shut down many people use this point to say oh Sendo is so bad even though to be honest without counting asagi's goal him and isagi contributed a similar amount in the game it was even stated that they were playing similar both played bait for a main Striker both had many chances to score that got shut down and both made impressive saves that helped their team drastically isagi just outdid him in the hole scoring Department in conclusion many of the other lesser no players are looked past and not given their flowers this would be my ranking of the players in the u20 from best to worst anyway let me know what you think of my horrible takes and if you want to
