How Cayde-6 Returned in Destiny 2 EXPLAINED

hello everyone and welcome to another video video games are a tough Place sometimes especially when people's favorite characters are killed off by the writers it can sometimes be a tough pill to swallow especially when their death is that of a gruesome one Kade 6's Death in Destiny 2 was exactly that entering the prison of Elders to be faced with my favorite character looking down the barrel of his own weapon that's usually that in the way of fan favorite characters and we never really see them ever come back just because how would that ever make sense right well Bungie have decided to ignore all of that logic and in the first trailer for final shape there he was in all of his glory Cade 6 on the other end of the weapon this time but the question that I and probably all of you have is how how has Cade 6 returned from the dead and how was he able to help us fight against the witness in the final shape campaign well that's exactly what I'm going to be discussing in today's video there is an explanation given to us throughout the campaign as to how Cade has returned along with some law on the back of an exotic Mission and weapon that could provide us with some more context on just how Cade is feeling about all of this because how would you feel about coming back from the dead you have many many questions about it this video will of course contain spoilers for the final shape campaign so if you don't want to watch it don't watch this video as we will be sharing some content from the Exotic missions deep into the story along with some Snippets from the campaign itself you have been warned however let's dive straight into the law of how Cade 6 returned so there are two perspectives that we need to look at this from the perspective of Crow and the perspective of Cade let's start off with Cade 6 just cuz it makes a bit more sense during his final moments in Forsaken and the prison of Elders Aldren sov destroys Sundance meaning that Cade cannot be revived and if he dies he dies he then finishes Cade off whilst he was on the ground still joking around as we expected him too and from that point onwards Cade was no more however from Kate's perspective this is exactly what he remembers and what happened to him to get him to this point inside the traveler take a look at this where to even start I died you probably remember that not great partly my fault lesson learn let's not dwell and after that nothing but not a bad nothing a peaceful nothing I think I felt her there too my ghost Sundance she was part of me or I was part of her like we were two cards shuffled back into our deck whole again and then there was well that was pain separation something pulling me out I woke up here in this body alone no ghost no way to use the light and what could make this traumatic experience better than finding my killer waiting for me but we talked it out because we're adults he seems nicer these days yeah pretty low bar I'll admit because we got bigger problems bigger weirder problems Crow said this was all inside the traveler but I already knew it's in pain pain I can feel somebody's up in that monolith with their hand on a knife crow calls it the witness and what it's doing out here has a name too the final shap it's the end of everything [Music] so I figured might as well try to stop it so just to recap what we've just seen when Cade died that was it no way back he and Sundance were morphed into one they felt each other's presence they felt each other's light and they were at peace together and they were one until something pulled Cade out of this place he was in leaving Sundance behind and then when Cade woke up he was inside the traveler with what he thought was Aldren Sav in front of him not knowing of course that it was Crow and that he was a lightbearer if Crow's ghost didn't appear well Kate's finger may have very well pulled the trigger Kade however was different this time before he was the hunter Vanguard a lightbearer and could wield the light via his ghost Sundance Kade however doesn't have a ghost anymore but he can feel the light inside of him something pulled him out of that place that he was in something that's given Kade the power of feeling and being one with the light without the need of a ghost to do that he however can no longer access his past abilities his special ability or whatever it might be or things that he was once able to do as being a g ghost life Bearer but he's alive and he doesn't even know how or why but there's another huge part to this story and that is the perspective of crow when Riven granted the wish of access to the traveler away inside Crow found himself being shot at when he got in there and of course that was Cade 6 they had their pillow fight and their a little bit of a reunion and chat and then talked it out and became friends Cade knew that Crow was not old as soon as that ghost appeared it was a whole different ball game that's where K decided he would help defeat the witness Cade that evening however around a campfire would continue to ponder this whole situation the man that killed him all that time ago was literally sat there asleep right in front of him the man responsible for the death of him and his ghost Sundance the causer of all the pain an anguish across the Vanguard right there through an exotic quest to obtain the still hunt sniper rifle we get insights into the first nights the two shared together take a listen to this there are too many ways to kill someone who needs killing Kade 6 spends the first night of his rebirth staring at the man who murdered him the prince he once knew as Aldren lies with his back to Cade head on his arm cushioned by Soft grass under a sky without Stars Granite Boulders are scattered like vast marbles nestled along the tall prairie grasses a safe Silent Valley born in the moment of their arrival time had grown oily without the familiar cycles of Earth and after hours and half conversations and stunted questions the other man had excused himself to rest Aldren sleeps soundly vulnerable Cade leans back against a boulder arms crossed in the half shadow of the fire between them an Impulse curls through him dark and wild it would only take a moment he could put a shot straight through the ghost's shell then improvise a garat with a handful of prairie grass and strangle the man was looking him dead in the eye or crush the ghost with his hands to stand tall and Powerful over the sleeping figure and relive his own death from his Killer's perspective better yet he could capture the ghost set the man free and hunt him in Furious Pursuit whilst Cade was in this Daydream of thoughts he looks up and flinches as he sees the murderous ghost hovering in place watching his every move illuminated by the flickering coals of a Dying fire a motionless protective stance Cade Narrows his eyes his hand slowly moves to his gun ghost and EXO stare through one another the man beneath the ghost stirs but does not wake then in a fluid motion the ghost Glides past his guardian's cheek silently approaching Cade it draws closer I'm sorry about Sundance whis the ghost Cade Stills at her name his hands and his gaze drops to the ground pinned there now by a heavy shame thanks is allcade kuster he looks at the sleeping man nestled on the grass of the inside of a God and sees nothing of Aldren Crow Cade reminds himself that's Crow I mean from Kate's perspective this is a difficult pill to swallow not only of as us as the players have to see Aldren sov kill one of our favorite characters in Destiny but now Cade has been pulled back with no explanation whatsoever with what he thought was alren SV in front of him which was why he was shooting at him to now knowing that this isn't alren SV it's in fact Crow because he died and the light resurrected him and gave him a ghost and he's now a completely different person with no recollection or anything to do do with his past he's a new person but that person still looks and embodies what killed Cade back then in the prison of Elders which is alren SV it's a difficult thing for Kate to get around as well and the fact that Aldren killed Sundance as well destroyed her I mean you can kind of see why he's feeling this way but then of course as soon as the ghost goes over apologizes and says that they're very sorry for sundown and just when Cade speaks to Crow he knows he's a completely different person and Cade knows better than anyone about this I mean he's his actual form has died and resurrected six times so you know he knows better than anyone that he's a different person now the two would continue to work together closely together in mayad and of course with us to hunt down the witness and to restore peace to the soul but there was always one question in the back of Cade's head how the heck is he alive and why it turns out that Crow was keeping a little secret from Cade all this time and he eventually broke and asked Cade to meet him up for a conversation it was here that all was revealed the reason Cade was back alive was all because of crow when Crow enters riven's portal and ends up in the traveler the first thing and the only thing on his mind was Cade 6 Cade was brought back as a result of a wish that was made by Crow not an intentional wish Crow had no clue or any idea that this would bring Cade back but for some reason Cade was on Crow's mind as he entered that portal and entered the traveler The Traveler the light was the thing that pulled Cade out of that place that he and Sundance were in and brought him inside the traveler another question you're probably wondering is well why would the traveler do that there was some dialogue during the campaign that alluded to a potential reason for the traveler to do this and it was morale strength the Vanguard and the lightbearers and the traveler are going against the toughest being in the universe the biggest threat you're going to need absolutely everything you've got to give you that Cutting Edge and well bringing cage 6 back and reuniting him with his Squad is a fantastic start and a way to do that he's not only there for comic relief in game although he just provideed a lot and it's great but he's also a bloody good fighter with a lot of guts and courage the keler didn't just give Crum a wish he brought the one person back that could unite the Vanguard at its lowest point and as you progress through the story the likes of Zavala iora and even Crow at times needed Cade's support overall I'm not mad at all they brought Cade back does this however mean that he's stuck inside the traveler and can't leave because you know whether that's the case I don't think that's the case and I don't really know we haven't really got that far just yet will he ever be able to Bear the light again will he ever reunite with Sundance will he get a new ghost what will happen I don't know but let me video it is a Wednesday and we can't finish the final shaped DLC until the Friday so we've got a lot of uh playing to do to try and rank up light levels and to fill those gaps until of course we do
