Arlecchino is STRONGER than Traveler and
yes you should be scared. Cause we still have 3 other Fatui Harbingers, and Pierro, and
the Tsaritsa to get through and if Traveler can’t beat Arlecchino right now then we’re
sort of kind of.. maybe really.. doomed. But we should be afraid of more than that…
because I think Arlecchino just revealed what the entire plot of Genshin might be… Her
story quest, her in-game boss description, and her weapon lore… Get ready because this
deep dive is going to be insane and these findings may have confirmed an old theory I had
regarding the ENTIRE structure of Teyvat’s world… Remember… The sky is a lie. I’m your leify lore streamer Minsleif and I read
the Genshin Impact lore so that you don’t have to. Since we’re going to touch upon
it briefly during theory time, here’s a very fast summary on what we learned
about Arlecchino and the House of the Hearth in Act I of her Story Quest. There’s a ghost named
Clervie who’s been sighted occasionally by members of the House of the Hearth. If you’ve seen the
Arlecchino animation, you’ll recognize her as Arlecchino’s childhood friend. Clervie had been
convincing some House of the Hearth members to escape the House’s “darkness”. This ruckus causes
some members to want to leave the orphanage which draws extreme concern amongst the Lyney siblings
since leaving the House of the Hearth could result in execution. This is due to the confidential
Fatui information being shared among the members, it’s too risky to let any of that information
leak out. So Arlecchino executes anyone who dares to try leaving the House of the Hearth.
But this “execution” isn’t as bad as it sounds. Arlecchino’s flames have a unique
property - once ingested, her flames will cause a searing pain that’ll burn away a
person’s memories. Their “old” self will die, and they can live their lives as a
completely new person knowing nothing about their past in the House of the Hearth
or any information from it. It’s somewhat of a merciful approach Arlecchino has towards
the more flaky members of the orphanage. When Clervie was alive things were
different however and the children of the orphanage experienced a fate worse than
execution… The House of the Hearth was led by her biological mother Crucabena, the
previous Knave. During Crucabena’s reign, children were encouraged to duel to the death to
become the next “king” of the House of the Hearth or risk being sent to Dottore for his nefarious
experiments. The only way to prevent the children from dying would be to kill Crucabena, become
the new “king”, and change the rules of the House. Clervie was against this course of action
due to her kind-hearted nature, but she later dies at the hands of Arlecchino - a death she
accepts cause she views it as her only way of obtaining freedom from all this cruelty. A year
later, in the same arena Clervie was killed in, Arlecchino kills Crucabena and takes her spot
as the new Knave, the Fourth Fatui Harbinger. But wait a minute, if Clervie died years ago as a
16 year old, then how was her ghost brought back? Apparently on top of having memory-erasing
properties, Arlecchino’s flame leaves behind shadows of anything they consume. There’s a slim
chance that those shadows can form a sentient entity, and this seems to be what happened to
this manifestation of Clervie. The way to release Clervie’s shadow is to fulfill her posthumous
wish of being free from the House of the Hearth. So wait Arlecchino’s fire is able to erase
people’s memories and recall the shadows of those she’d slain? Arlecchino’s powers
are indeed interesting. She has a Vision, a Delusion, and according to her Vision story
“the ancient Balemoon Bloodfire burns within her, the noble blood serving as both curse and
blessing”. She likens her power to a curse, and the curse seems to spread when she experiences
sorrow or anger - two emotions she advises not succumb to. “Anger makes you impulsive, sorrow
causes you to waver.” Neuvillette also states that he is very empathetic when it comes to
people’s emotions and Arlecchino seems to lack any emotion at all. She’s also able to
trap the bird that Lyney had given Traveler and it’s wayyyy too reminiscent of the Unknown
God’s abilities in Genshin’s opening cutscene. Yes, Arlecchino is powerful but what
if the boss fight we experienced isn’t even her final form yet? Arlecchino’s
Character Story 4 is her musings about her own power or “curse”. If she ever
so slightly loses control of her power, it could spread… if this dark shadow were to creep
up her shoulder, and snake from shoulder to heart, she would likely undergo some sort of "change.”
Please please, I’m hoping we get some kind of Eldritch Nightmare form of Arlecchino some
time in the future cause it would be so cool. Before we go descend into Descender territory,
there could also be another possible explanation for Arlecchino’s powers and even her possible
identity. Her current outfit Moonglare states that “with this moonlight as her witness, she shall
drink deep of life’s chalice until her jagged fate comes to an end.” Her boss description also states
that “the ancient balemoon blood flows within her fate, granting her all that the dynasty once had —
yearning, power, and curses alike.” Her signature weapon is also called the Crimson Moon’s Semblance
a “semblance” being "the outward appearance or apparent form of something, especially when the
reality is different.” All of this information seems to allude to the fact that Arlecchino might
also POSSIBLY be a reborn Crimson Moon, one of the 3 Moon Goddesses or Moon Sisters that ruled over
Teyvat’s night sky thousands and thousands of years ago. In fact, her weapon lore also states
that the Khaenri’ahn people of the Crimson Moon Dynasty used to pray for the long-dead Crimson
Moon to bring them salvation. They maybe wanted to revive her? And this resurrection of a moon
goddess is a fate Arlecchino has accepted? This is all VERY interesting since I also believe
the moon goddesses came from outside of Teyvat… I have a recently uploaded video that theorizes on
the identities of the Three Moon Sisters including the possible identity of the Crimson or Abyssal
Moon but the details of it are a bit much to explain in this video as well. If you don’t have
time to watch that video and that’s okay, then the takeaway is that Arlecchino could also be a reborn
Moon Goddess if not just a Descender or Outlander. Version 4.6 is titled “Two Worlds Aflame, the
Crimson Night Fades”. Two worlds aflame… two worlds… Now some of you are probably like okay
Minsleif where are you going with this? And probably a decent amount of you won’t be surprised
at all when I say “Perinheri” but wait lemme cook. The information in 4.6 actually had me revisiting
an old theory of mine and it’s one that I’ve been stewing on before Perinheri’s release that
I haven’t yet included in previous videos. Speaking of Perin-who-ha, you know what’s
really funny though? When you unlock Arlecchino’s Character Story 5, you get this
interesting dialogue between her and Pierro, the Director of the Harbingers. When she
asks him ”What do my constant dreams of a crimson moon and my powers mean?”
Pierro literally tells her to read Perinheri and tells her that the
key details are accurate… BRO… This might be the 3rd time I’m mentioning it
but Perinheri was a random book that dropped in Version 4.5 and basically stated
that Khaenri’ah had an orphanage for Descenders and Outlanders. They were wishing
for 4-stars and 5-stars like no one’s business, the real gacha was the Khaenri’ahns looking for
Descenders apparently. Perinheri is the story about one such Outlander who traversed
the fire of TWO WORLDS and was reborn. The story of Perinheri describes the Crimson
Moon Dynasty of Khaenri’ah, where looking for Descenders seemed to be one of their main
objectives. Arlecchino’s going to have a really hard time escaping those reborn Descender
or Outlander allegations now. Dainsleif’s Collected Miscellany on her even describes her as
someone who may have succeeded in defying fate. It’s something her boss description also seems to
corroborate. But why is two worlds so important… I’m going to turn your attention to
the Spiral Abyss… this thought has been bothering me for a REALLY
long time and now I’m going to let it bother you too : ) We’re
both gonna suffer. I love u uwu! The in-game text describes the Spiral Abyss as “a
massive underground city constructed by an ancient civilization long gone.” Its structure is divided
into the "Abyss Corridor," which connects worlds, and the "Abyssal Moon Spire," which
leads to the unknown. Did you catch it? The Abyss Corridor - WHICH CONNECTS WORLDS. In the story of Perinheri, what was
Perinheri forced to climb into in order to traverse two worlds and
be reborn? “A dark corridor” : ) In the Unreconciled Stars Event - I
swear EVERYTHING goes back to this quest, Scaramouche’s iconic “the sky is a lie”
line and what I’m about to tell you right now. Ahem. In the Unreconciled Stars Event,
there’s a cutscene that mentions Pilos Peak. It was the summit or highest point of a
great mountain UNTIL Barbatos became the Anemo Archon and used his Gnosis to terraform
the entire region of Mondstadt. What remains of Pilos Peak… is now Musk Reef. Venti
what exactly are you trying to hide? This makes me realize that the process
of traversing two worlds is probably incredibly difficult… I mean think of it.
In the Spiral Abyss mode there are several floors you need to beat, and in Perinheri
he wasn’t allowed out of the dark corridor until he admitted to being “dead” and
seeing an illusion of a crimson moon. We’re about to DEEP dive into some
lore so get ready. This next part is going to be highly speculative so just be
aware that the conclusions we’re going to come to might not necessarily
reflect in the actual lore. Let’s take a look at Arlecchino’s weapon:
the Crimson Moon’s Semblance. Already in the first line of its lore we find something
incredibly interesting. "O High Lord of the Nobles of Khaenri'ah, the crimson-red moon has
long since fallen into the abyssal firmament, and the blindness of your blood has ended
your line.” The abyssal firmament. In Biblical cosmology a firmament is used
to describe the belief that the world is a flat disk surrounded by the
dome of the sky. Teyvat’s sky is often described as such, but this is one of
the first mentions of an abyssal firmament… Here’s what I originally thought based off
Scaramouche’s “the sky is a lie” line. I thought Teyvat was a dome and the Abyss world beneath
it had access to the “real sky” of Teyvat… but now we’re learning that the Abyss world… has a
dome, a firmament, as well. Okay Minsleif why are you so fixated on this? The Abyss Corridor of
the Spiral Abyss connects two worlds, Teyvat has a firmament - one half of a sphere, and the Abyss
also has a firmament - the other half of a sphere… The world of Genshin is made up of
TWO different WORLDS joined together. There’s actually a world like this in the
HoYoVerse but it isn’t in Genshin - yet. In Honkai: Star Rail Acheron’s best in slot relic set is Izumo Gensei and Takama
Divine Realm. It’s her planet, and look what it looks like. It’s described
as being “dual planets who were intertwined in each other's tragic destiny, dancing an
eternal rondo around a pitch-black great sun.” Now I’m not saying that Teyvat is Izumo
or anything but this structure of a dual planet DOES exist in the HoYoVerse, and it’s
highly possible that Teyvat now is one such “dual planet”. But what’s the reason for
this? A possible reason for splicing two planets together could be found in Genshin’s
Primordial History. The FIRST god of Teyvat known as the Primordial One came to Teyvat
and defeated the Seven Dragon Sovereigns in order to claim dominion over the world
and make the planet suitable for humans. Teyvat means “Ark” in Hebrew and in the Bible,
Noah’s Ark is the ship in the Genesis flood that contained the last remaining humans - Noah’s
family - and all the animals of the earth. All of them were spared from the Biblical flood
which killed the rest of the world. I think the Primordial One was trying to escape one such
tragedy. He probably needed a life-sustaining world to attach his dying planet to in order
to keep the human race alive. Can you imagine if the Celestial Nails or even the Irminsul
Tree are basically there to try to keep the two worlds joined together? This concept
of joining or splicing two worlds together also reminds me of organ donation. There’s
a chance for a new host’s body to reject the donor organ so I wonder if there’s a chance
that the two worlds could… reject each other… And could this rejection cause anomalies..
or errors.. in Teyvat’s internal coding? That would be an incredibly sad backstory for
the Primordial One if indeed it was his goal to look for a viable planet to attach his own to. In
order to escape his previous world’s catastrophe, they needed to burn away the old world… to
start anew… which leads me to the Fatui’s plans and Project Stuzha. Stuzha means Severe
Winter, and it’s probably the codename for the beginning stages of the Fatui’s final
plan to “create a new world” perhaps? And that’s probably why they need Arlecchino’s
memory-burning flames, to burn away the old world. If the Fatui are getting ready for the climax
of Genshin’s story then we aren’t and even more so TRAVELER ISN’T READY. Arlecchino’s Story
Quest showed that as of right now, Traveler is incapable of beating her and she’s not even at
her full capacity yet. This is a HUGE problem. According to Childe, the Fatui Harbingers are
ranked by their power level. Arlecchino is ONLY the Fourth Fatui Harbinger. Traveler, in their
current state, is apparently not strong enough to beat her at all. And that’s terrifying considering
Arlecchino could be an Outlander or Descender or even Moon Goddess reborn and there’s still three
Harbingers who outrank her. According Nahida, the top three Harbingers have powers that
can rival the gods. Il Dottore is Number 2. Oh I’d definitely be afraid of him… He’s had a
life long pursuit of creating god-like beings from his Archon residue experiments on Collei
and Gnosis experiments on Scaramouche. But here’s a thought I had… In the Fontaine World
Quests, we learn that Rene de Petrichor from the Narzissenkreuz Ordo was trying to become a
Descender. He was trying to run experiments on other people and himself in order to make such
a thing possible. Those events happened about 400 years ago. Arlecchino came into existence
very recently. This is supported in her Story Quest as well as her Boss description. That means
SOMEONE ELSE has possibly been trying to create Descender-like beings RECENTLY. And I honestly
wouldn’t be surprised if the culprit was Dottore. Dottore’s lore and what I think he plans
to do with the Irminsul tree is something that definitely deserves to be covered
in a future video. If you enjoyed this video please LEIF a like and subscribe
and I’ll see you on the next video. I’m your leify lore streamer Minsleif and I read the
Genshin Impact lore so that you don’t have to.
