word of god there is a touch bearer that goes to just be able to illuminate our area so we can see the obstacles the enemy has and we know how to negotiate if you know that if it were not for the word that you've heard throughout 2021 2020 and as far as as far back as you have been a part of the house on the rock you know it's that word that has kept you that word that has made you that word that has lifted you that word that has caused you to be who you are today i want you to with the real appreciation of gratitude put your hands together and receive our pastor our teacher our instructor the we exchanged keys at the doorway and i set off here in the midst of dealing with power challenges energy challenges for operating this building and by the way thank god for pastor kola who has the dexterity to not only be a pastor but also to work behind the scenes with the operational systems in the kitchen whilst you feast in the restaurant and she says i'll be 20 minutes behind you she says i'll be 20 minutes behind you so if you notice we held we held worship or special song a little bit that was the reason why and then she just takes a microphone and straight from sleep will you please allow me to breach the protocol and give honor to the first lady of house on the rock and the co-pastor of this movement and salute her oh oh you don't like me if you don't like my wife but to the one who is preeminent amongst all potentis let's honor our king the head of our government the master of the milky ways the governor of the galaxies the one who rules in the affairs of men the sovereign of not only your life but of the universe the one who lifts one up and puts one down and there's no questioning his authority or his sovereignty do you love him who is your healer your helper your good company with some others who celebrate today and another lady who i'll mention later pastor joe would you stand up it's his wife she's not in the country uh she's pursuing something elsewhere but bless her and just stretch your hand down and say happy birthday pastor rosalind ulaito we commiserate with the musee family on the transition of their father engineer alberto muze who passed on december the 20th may his precious soul rest in perfect peace he was the father of one of our parishioners mrs casino and yebi of the rock foundation force directorate so please reach out a hand of commiseration and a voice of consolation to casino obsequies will be as announced by his family please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers also we further announce again the passing to glory a few weeks ago of a strong son of this house and an industrialist in the nollywood industry mr karibi fubara and we continue in commiseration with his family as they also continue in our thoughts and prayers as his church family obsequies will be announced by his family not too far from now however i do know that the service of songs will hold here on wednesday the 9th of february and i will be those platforms we are delighted to announce that ages one to four of our children's church also known as the rock kid zone will resume classes on sunday february the 6th all safety protocols remain in place we are joined parents to keep any child that is feeling unwell or symptomatic for a cold or something that resembles a floor malaria please keep them at home uh and we are join you to to be consistent with that instruction and this is for the child's benefit and for all twenty eight or so years ago an old woman let me she was all dead she was all then she let me use her house so i called four people off the streets or four people off the streets um the lady i was intending to marry was the fifth her sister was the sixth and i was the seventh to come and pray on july the 15th in 1994. and it was the birthing of house on the rock that friday night from 10 pm until 7 a.m in the morning we tore up a carpet as in weeks it exploded till we couldn't fit into that living room anymore and we moved to the onyx plaza however we maintained prayer meetings from 10 a.m to 2 p.m every day and on fridays on her lawn with three four five hundred people some of you who were in that foundational moment just lift a hand lift a hand keep it high it's a good handful and many are dispersed around the country leading and running churches uh full house on iraq and we kept tearing up a house because we still held many prayer meetings there and i'm so glad to announce that she's still alive and today she turned 97 beautiful years old i couldn't have asked for a better mother and so is the testimony of all her children biological spiritual uh women's feminism women's activism women's courses the international council of women's affairs the professional council of midwives and nurses an incredible asset to my late father a huge asset to us and remains so would you please celebrate a great woman with me who was essential to the founding of this house and certainly we cannot write the story of our foundation or our continuity without her being part of the story not sure if she's watching but mum happy birthday from all of us who mostly are your grandchildren at least spiritually in some way or the other thank you for being my mom you're the best mom in the whole world glory to god [Applause] you may be seated thank you for solicitating with me i'm glad about that if you have a but i'm going to take two testimonies very quickly from anybody who's been blessed by the word and or the communion services and it's it's a real testimony not this is not your opportunity to come and show off your new dress or your new suit or shirt this is a testimony to show forth god you want to show god off let's have a microphone i'll be glad for that and don't be shy because i don't have welcome um my name is mike ibukung senior advocate in nigeria [Applause] to god be the glory um on sunday we had a holy communion service here and i believe god for healing because i've been having pains on my on both shoulders i'm a side sleeper i couldn't sleep well in the night i kept on having these pains abroad i had a ct scan done anyway long story i came back and went to the hospital they gave me some medications and exercises to do and stuff but when i got here on sunday during the service one of the things i believed god for was to do healing i told jesus that i didn't want to go back the way i came you know by tuesday the pains were gone i could sleep well on my sides i could raise up my hands these were things i couldn't do before you know these were things he couldn't do before you know i'm going to test you sir it's part of jurisprudence and preponderance that's right that's left answer [Applause] oh come on church give god the glory he heals lawyers too thank you sir next testimony the lady in the black and white please two minutes just two minutes at most praise the lord i want to start by thanking pastor paul two minutes this is santa dora okay two minutes i i lost my husband on the third of august um it was a whole lot but pastor paul pastor ifine the entire church stood by me i have longed for an opportunity to openly thank god and really appreciate the man of god in this house for the level of sacrifice and the level of love i saw in the course of all of this you know we have been in house on the rock not too long but the kind of love that was showered on us was so much i mean so much it's so much that i really i mean i wouldn't have been standing here if not for the support the great support i got from this church like i said i went through a lot but see me standing here i don't think i look like what i have been through it's because of the grace of god otherwise i'm not i mean i shouldn't be able to stand here i was with my husband for five months in the hospital in fact the total period i spent in the hospital was about eight straight months i used to have issues with my blood pressure living in the hospital ward in the oncology department and her husband was plugged with tubes because of a malignancy that had spread through the entire entire thoracic region he couldn't eat for eight months no food went through his mouth for eight months i was so traumatized it was a traumatic you know situation for me it was difficult for me to eat i mean see him not eating why should i be eating but i went through all of that god saw me through i used to have issues with blood pressure but i noticed that for the whole period i was with my husband in the hospital my blood pressure remained stable stable stable up till now i don't understand what happened and how it happened for the period i was in the hospital i never broke down i never broke down i was not sick one day in fact that sometimes some some some some days the doctors who come chased me out of the water to go out that was in dubai trust me i'll go out so that you don't fall sick and i'll tell them i will not fall sick you know god saw me through all of this today i'm standing still healthy now after my husband passed catch your breath for a moment the bill was literally hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars but god sent people from everywhere and helped us with a person in dubai who helped to cut the costs significantly with the hospital and anybody who went through what she went through would not be living today she had not just the peace of god that passes understanding you know peace when everything going on in your mind says it's over for the deceased to be and over for you but yet there's a peace in your spirit that makes you calm within when your mind is racing and rattling and he kept her blood pressure stable normally external pressures is what satan wants to put on the inside do you have internal pressure and it sends your system wonky but she says she had perfect blood pressure stable through that period you have now 60 seconds thank you sir first of all while my husband was in the hospital my son back at home had coveted so you can imagine how that works yes of this land they call omegran so you can imagine all the things i was going through where god kept me while we were still in the hospital just like paul said monies came possible wonderful man of god up till now there was one 19 million naira that hit my account till now i don't know where that thing came from but i know it came i know the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing i have never had in fact my husband saw these things and he was like because my husband is a g used to be a giver he was a giver but he was not receiving and i would ask him that you give so much why don't you receive you know it was a major concern so when he began to see these miracles he told himself that scriptures was being fulfilled in his life he longed for he longed to stand here i wish he was here to testify with me he'll never spoil he learned to see you personally to thank you for all that he all that you did for him he desired it was anything he desired he doesn't see you meet you and justify to really appreciate you for what he saw i stand here on his behalf i know he see me say thank you for the [Applause] one more testimony after he passed after he passed my senior son you know he got so engrossed that he got so carried away by the whole thing he was so lost in the fact that his father was no more i don't know whatever happened he kept he cut off from me for about three months i couldn't i didn't hear from him i would send him messages he will not respond he disconnected from anyone that had anything to do with me he's in canada he disconnected completely from anyone that knew me and you know that compounded my whole issue i didn't know what to do i've lost my husband my son has cut off from me hope that i have you know that i kept trusting god i kept believing i kept praying to the glory of god this boy called me on the 25th of december he called me and he was all weeping i'm with him and he's back in tune and you're settled and there's harmony again but i'm still going to find you 100 000 for a long time thank you mostly at some point we'll all have to suffer bereavement of a dear and dearly loved one in our generation or the generation before us and sometimes generation after us but it's not the end of your life and the deceased being in christ will want you to live on live strong pick up the pieces and know that the scripture says he brings beauty out of ashes and the pain you went through serves as energetic explosive force as long as you are aimed in the right direction to propel you to the destiny that yourself and the deceased shared envision and it will come to pass and we have witnesses in the clouds every day in the first 10 20 30 40 possibly half century years of the birth of the church the body of christ two thousand years ago martyrs were dying left right and center but the believers continued to march on strong knowing that we would see them again in the sun by and by we stayed strong this is our faith to celebrate the victory of those who have gone on and are wearing their crowns in glory walking streets of gold and draw from their strength that because they made it our faith is certain our hope is true and god who sees us all the way till the end we want to ensure that till our last breath we're fighting the good fight and that's what she demonstrates um in remaining strong and vigorous in spite of a colossal loss to her family and a dent a temporary dent to her faith and hope i'll take one more testimony and then we're done one more testimony quickly madam i have to insist that you take a minute and be concise please oblige us okay um can i ask for a favor not on my time no i don't know um so um my testimony is rather like it's a little bit long so i wrote so i'm going to resist you on that one affirmatively but i promise that at a subsequent sunday we will have your testimony come up um and do what's that so please apply will you put your hands together for her next sunday we will take your testimony as time is precious yeah the testimony is hugely important but the word is more important yeah and i know it's going to be long i command you to be brisk and be endowed with brevity thank you okay praise the lord so my name is ijam emanuelaira and this is a testimony of what didn't happen like pastor paul will say um on monday i was praying and i just had a flash of a car hitting my daughter's car and then i just saw the spirit of fear because i was there with her in october november and looking at them so she had a warning yeah in her spirit and she saw a flash in her mind of another of an accident yeah a collision between her daughter's car yeah and uh this other yes so but i just thought spiritual fear because when i was with her october november in canada looking at the road the way she drives i was just saying god you're the one keeping this girl so um and then wednesday i had taken out time monday to wednesday i wanted to just pray all through as fasting and praying and then she sent a message on wednesday sends pictures to my husband about an incident in front of her house where a car had run into her car hit the driver's side of the tire the impact was so much that it impacted the opposite the passenger front side of the car as well and she said that on the day it happened she had gone out to change the wiper of the car and she heard the voice say leave this place a car will hit your car she said oh this is just the spirit of fear but anyway she fixed it and she left it was a neighbor that saw the impact the next day a car had actually hit the front side of her car i know in the weather they have right now covered in snow maybe the road was slippery but the impact must have been so heavy thank god she wasn't there at that point if she was in the car the likelihood is she would have suffered or even fatalistic injuries or of very serious serious impact so she was just seeing this the next day and somebody was reporting it to her and she she then came out to see it so this was clearly a testimony of what did not happen and i want to give that flow come on don't don't panic don't god is not your way that don't don't tip him because he's just advertising to you that no weapon fastened against you in the past in the now and in the future will be able to prosper he warned her mom she said something about it heaven took it his her daughter heard it in her spirit almost discountednessed it but came out of the car only to wake up the following morning and to see that in her absence that car was accidented to the point where the impact affected another car on the other side of her car i want you to give god thanks for all the things that haven't happened that the enemy wanted to happen and all the things that will not happen in the future that even though the enemy fastens the weapon it cannot prosper go ahead give him glory and watch divine protection in your life thank you pastor joe you may be seated in god's presence for a few moments as you take a bible and turn with me to luke's gospel the fifth chapter and the 17th verse we apologize for the late start to the service this morning it was owed to the power challenges that we do not frequently or at all have but once in our history prior to today and when you find luke 5 6 17 um sorry we'll read that first and then second we're going to read mark 2 from verse 1 to 12. i'll read quickly in your hearing luke 5 and 17. it's our custom to stand for the reading of god's word and the reading begins in the 17th verse of luke's gospel chapter 5. and it came to pass on a certain day that as jesus was teaching that there were pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by which were come out of every town of galilee and judea and jerusalem so the theologians wanted to hear this man amidst the multitude and the power of the lord was present to heal them and behold men brought in a bed a man which was taken with the palsy paralysis and they sought means to bring him in and to lay him before him and when they could not find by what way they might bring him into the house because of the multitude they went upon the housetop and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before jesus and when jesus saw their faith come with me now to mark's gospel the second chapter and the first verse i wanted to bring out a few things in the early account early part of the account of luke before we study briefly exegetically mark and again he entered into capernaum after some days and it was noise that he was in the house and straight away many were gathered together in so much that there was no room to receive them no not so much as about the door and he preached the word unto them and they come out unto him bringing one sick of paralysis the palsy which was born or carried by four and when they could not come nigh unto him because of the crowd or the press they uncovered the roof where he was and when they had broken the roof up they let down the bed wearing the sick with paralysis lay when jesus saw their faith he said unto the sick with paralysis son your sins are forgiven you but there were certain of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts those cries were lawyers attorneys of the the levitical order or ordinances and statutes and he he he was aware that they were reasoning in their hearts why does this man speak blasphemies who can forgive sins but god only and immediately when jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves he said unto them why reason ye these things in your hearts whether it is easier to say to the sick with paralysis your sins are forgiven you or to say arise and take up your bed and walk but so that you will know that the son of man has power on earth to forgive sins he saith to the sick of palsy i say unto you arise take up your bed and go thy way into thine own house and immediately the man sick of palsy arose took up the bed and went forth before them all in so much that they were all amazed and glorified god saying we never saw it on this fashion not prada concerns the eighth and ninth verses and the fifth verse and immediately when jesus perceived in his spirit that the lawyers the pharisees the scribes so reasoned within themselves as to why he was appearing blasphemous to them he said to them why reason you these things in your hearts whether it is easier to say to the sick of paralysis your sins are forgiven you are to say arise take up your bed and walk but so that you may know controversies ended that the son of man has power on earth to forgive sin he now turns to the man's secret policy and says i say unto you arise take up your bed and go your way into thine house it's important to grasp this because sin is the originator of sickness sin is part of the desire divine condemnation on violation or transgression of the order to not touch the tree of the knowledge of good and evil whether it's original sin ancestral sin or personal sin what jesus is doing here he's forecasting the new covenant he's teaching under the law because the new covenant has not yet started it will start at his death he's teaching under the law fulfilling the law perfectly but he's also showing that god is suffering to be able to remit sin of anybody any time that he wants to and not count it against them announcing or previewing the new testament where god does not use the law of sin in regard to anybody who believes in the new covenant in other words for there to be the law of sin which is condemnation there has to be the law of sin so what did he do when he died on the cross he took the law of sin out of the way it's no longer the reckoning system and he gave us a new law which is not performance that's the law of moses but the new law is the law of faith for there is now therefore no condemnation for those who are in christ jesus for the law of the spirit of life in christ which you only get by faith has made us free from the law of condemnation the law of sin and death now look at verse five now look at verse five when jesus saw their faith then he saith so he didn't say it once to the one who was paralyzed that paralysis was of his physical members but we can have paralysis otherwise some your sins are forgiven you my subject this morning is outsiders it is now your time because in the space of time the lawyers and i don't mean [Music] those who stand in the court of of law but you must understand to the jews law was law and their law was levitical standing at the door supposedly to the power and the presence of god the pharisees the scribes and the lawyers would not go in all they had was religious form and guard and yet they would not allow others to experience the presence of god he looked at them and said you white had wall sepulchers full of dead men's bones you would not go in and yet you would not allow others in having a form of godliness paul said but denying the power thereof he said to them you know not the scriptures and you know not the power of god you haven't understood what the scriptures are saying because you don't study to divide the scriptures correctly outsiders are kept out but i want to tell you something if you look at jesus carefully his whole job while she gave the offering first to the insiders was sent to the outsiders it is the day of the outsiders and this ministry we are going to shape her and build her for the outsiders hallelujah that's the folk who everybody in the mainstream and in the so-called establishment left on the outside and i want you to know you have a chance why there is now therefore no condemnation for those who have faith to take their place in christ at the right hand of the father so my subject this morning is outsiders it is now time for you this is your time now so look at four or five people and tell them outsider it is now your time let me go to work whilst you open up your heart and listen it's not time to sit down we need to pray our father thank you for the living word reach down into the repository and reservoir of your deposits inside this human spirit that you sanctified set apart and rebirthed on salvation's great day and therewith unlock the treasure of your wisdom your counsel the gift of speaking teaching and preaching that your people may be riveted with the word of life to confirm what you are saying in them to them and for their benefit now release the miraculous the supernatural and the breakthrough that nobody's faith will be daunted by what they presently experience or are battling with in their lives but instead they will overcome by our great victory which is our faith in christ jesus so let it be in jesus name and the people of god said a very big amen the insiders because of a legitimacy that is derived from tradition and traditions often jostle and jockey to rise in established institutions of religion and religious denomination and what it does is it creates people who are like serpents they are like snakes because in order to rise in those denominational systems you they have to cut stab back bite uh kill not literally um report gossip etc in order to rise to find favor with the pinnacle leaders of various aspects and sometimes the whole of those denominations and so i am thankful to god that i was not raised by a denomination but i was personally raised by god himself and when i get around snakes like that i wear my full armor and i go with the full operation of my mantle because snakes are dangerous and i have a few friends in denominational systems including pentecostal denominational systems and i i briefed them about my perspectives not only to let them know i know you or your potential because of the typical manner of your comrades in your denomination but i know you and i know what you're like so we often have a piety that veils the venomous spite of the cockatrice and independents normally have this kind of challenge with religious religiosity-driven denominations and individuals in those denominations uh and so as a faith community i'm trying to let you know that you are an outsider community just in case you didn't know if you're an adherent here and the insiders would like to keep you on the outside and as it is in faith it is also is the same in the public sector in government in industry in the economy in the marketplace the insiders want to keep the outsiders out it's called job security it's called sector security it's called privilege security but god has a nasty habit of taking the first and making them last taking the last and making them first taking the insider putting them on the outside so that they learn what it is to starve and have a famine of what they did not really seize the opportunity of when they had it and then he brings the outsider onto the inside i believe that this is god's message for the church at our time and it's also a message to our nation at this time and over the next several years outsiders that you would be familiar with uh in the in the in the bible would be the roman centurions they were perceived as enemies of the jewish people who were the custodians of the oracles of god and the oracles of both law and faith david was an outsider to the system the law had put his family line the judeans outside of the kingdom as those who could be the heirs of the throne and the reason for that was that the entire line of judah were sired by bastardry in that judah had slept with his son's wives three sons wife three sons one wife and had sired unknowingly children from her and the whole line of judah was born from those lloyds and yet god raised the patriarchy of the master himself from the land of judah so it's not really an issue of what put you on the outside and how horrific or deplorable it was god just doesn't care about that he'll bring anybody in who has desperation need and as a result faith for a change also included in that number was moses a murderer exiled from both egypt and the homestead of the israelites in egypt and yet god sends him back to quash egypt and to raise israel and bring them into emancipation rahab ruth the woman with the issue of blood for obvious reasons the syrophoenician woman all gentiles uh the leper the scores the proper and the byword uh um uh the the man in our text also the man with the withered hand they were outsiders do you do when the insiders to faith are no longer insiders but stand at the door with a form of godliness that denies the power of god thereof and uh they try to keep outsiders out whilst they are really also outsiders to what they only pretend to be inside us too but the outsiders are desperate and hungry for god and they move of god while the insiders substitute religion for the power and the presence of god who is very absent to them and brings me to an important note that i want to make early in my discourse with you is that you cannot get revelation of who god is to you on a new level or a new facet or new aspect if you don't have need and i propose to you therefore that the needs that remain in your life are there for the purpose of revelation and revelation serves the purpose of relieving or rather releasing through revelation the power of god into the area of your need god is already there you already have a need but until your need brings you to desperation and you say i've tried everything that could help and it didn't help i'm coming to the master i want to be in his presence and i want to put it to him that only you can make me well only you can fix my son only you can fix my daughter only you can fix this issue in my life or that area of my life and ultimately the need serves a purpose as impetus to bring you drag you draw you into the presence of the most high god always allows the need in order to create the desperate opportunity for your need to engage the god who can fix anything on your behalf so i'm saying to you that your trial is an opportunity for god to reveal himself to you on another level or in a different facet or to a much bigger scale than you know him in that dimension so with regard to the outsiders it is difficult to believe that these outsiders that i've just mentioned and listed for you had any faith left after all that they had gone through and not yet gotten their healing you know what i mean this woman has her menses and it lasts for day one day two day three it's not subsiding day four it's not subsiding five six seven the whole week has happened it's not abating and it seems to fountain the more she goes into another week and it hasn't dropped back yet it goes into a third week now it's a whole month she's going to see the obstetrician and the gynecologist of the day to find out please what's going on inside of me i'm losing more than what i'm gaining and the fountain is quite furious and it goes to two months and by the time she's gone through a year of excessive bleeding uh that should only have lasted four days she's exhausted most of the medical practitioners in her area and she starts looking elsewhere for help and consulting with others and the fury of her fountain persists it continues over and over and over again till it's two years obviously she was a woman of great substance and she had money to throw at it and the treatments were not working the cure was not to be found it went to three years by the way at the time her menses started a young girl was born to jairus and she would die at the same time 12 years later that this woman would be healed jesus is telling us something it goes on to six years now everybody knows her problem because for some reason when there's community she does not join them because the law which she was under and that was the prevailing system of the day forbade any women immenses or protracted menses to come into community and sit anywhere amidst the people she had to stand aloof she was by law an outsider because she had a persistent issue of blood i don't know who you are but the doctors may have diagnosed you with an issue of blood it may not have been the same type of issue but most diseases known to man are issues with blood for the life the figure of the flesh the bible says is in the blood and you feel like an outsider to opportunity because you're always weak you always feel down you're an outsider to marriage to parenting because of a blood issue but i want to announce to you this sunday morning that god your god the creator of the heavens and the earth he is the god of the outsider he is the one who prefers and chooses to chooses to favor the one on the outside do i have any outsiders here this sunday morning you feel outside to wealth you feel outside to privilege you feel outside to upliftment and promotion you feel outside to marriage you feel outside to parenting or parenthood you feel outside to the privileges that you see other believers walk in and enjoy and yet people who are not as compliant as you are to the tenets of so-called christianity but really the law drive past you and own what you think you should be owning have what you think you ought to have whereas my friends if you look at it closely it was not their piety that won them an inside ticket on inside position what gave them the inside position was their faith get up out of your seat look for seven people give them a helmet tell them what you need in this covenant is faith it's faith it's faith faith will get you holiness faith will get you sanctification faith will get you miracles faith will move you into the supernatural faith will bring you into the purpose and the plan and the power of god's vision for your life that's why he left you with some need because one need will be your real introduction to the power of god's presence and when you meet his presence then he can deal with the whole litany of other areas and facets of your need it was need that brought me to the anointing and the anointed one and all i really need is to be in the midst of the anointing that the bible says by which the yoke shall be removed from your neck the limitation from your life and the yoke shall be destroyed and the burden shall be removed from your shoulder why because of the presence the oily one and the oil on his head that never ends that can break any brass ceiling shatter every gra every glass wall pull down every stronghold bring down even the walls of jericho it's all because of his presence and so with regard to the outsiders i want to tell you that your trial is an opportunity for god to reveal himself to you on another level or in another facet of his greatness to the outsiders it is difficult to believe that any of them had any faith left after all they had been through whether you're talking about david or you're talking about the woman with the issue of blood or the man who was paralyzed and therefore couldn't go anywhere without being carried and you know when people carry you they can drop you anytime they want to you are at their mercy instead of at the mercy of god all the man with leprosy who must have had vision must have had a sense of possibility but all that had been drained dried out and killed because of his leprosy that made him an outsider to community and as a result to the commonwealth of any and every community and so i feel god i feel god so strong this sunday morning all the outsiders if they were going to get their breakthrough had to defy their sensory perception realm the realm of the signaling of their five senses uh and choose instead of believing what their five senses were saying to them to choose to believe the invisible god the imperceptible god the god who was imperceptible to their five senses because friends jehovah el elyon elohim he is imperceptible to touch to taste to smell to sight and to sound he is imperceptible to your sensory perception systems nobody has ever seen god before nor touched him physically nor touched him literally because he keeps himself deliberately outside of our sensory perception system never have the jewish people been allowed to make a physical image of their god never have they been able to craft a sculpture of their god unlike the buddhists the hindus the pagans and the heathen the jews were not allowed it is the fourth commandment i stand to be corrected so none of the jews ever formed their god into a shape or into a substance or into even a picture they couldn't bring him into the visible because he deliberately chooses to be invisible that means that if you're going to progress with him you cannot walk by your sensory perception paul tells us this that way by saying we walk not by sight he might as well have said not by sound nor by touch taste or smell but we walk by another set of senses called faith when you believe for the impossible by believing in the invisible and you can get to know the invisible god just because you can't see him with your five doesn't mean you can't see him with the eyes of your understanding so how does god physically craft himself into a shape or form that you can perceive him because my god cannot be captured in the realm of sensory perception so how does one physically craft the shape or color or form of the omnipresent god what shape will he take when he's bigger than the universe bigger than the milky ways and the galaxies bigger than anything you could conceive of how do you define him how do you shape him how do you you'd have to build the universe again because he's bigger than the universe to even begin to suggest that god looks something like his universe so when god keeps himself deliberately outside the realm of our senses then if he's going to get through to us he has to speak to us on a spiritual level and not a physical level can i get a witness from somebody this means that the relationship you will have with god cannot be cognitive or intellectual as intellectual as you are the relationship has to be spiritual and then you process it in your intellect in order to share fellowship with others and to communicate your faith to a community it is there that god's spirit now speaks to my spirit on the bridge or platform of faith and he allows my spirit to now communicate to my mind what he's been talking to and reposed as a treasure trove in my spirit so now let's begin to apply it sensory perception limits you to whatever your physical senses can present about god so here is a boy he's apprenticed to the greatest prophet of that time by name elisha elisha is an opponent of ben haddad the king of syria we've talked about them for a few weeks and ben haddad is so upset with elijah because of his ability with this his invisible god and invisible apparatus to protect his arc enemy the king of samaria and this has given ben haddad a serious problem so he decides since i can't get to the king because of elisha i'm going to go and ambush elisha and i'm sending a big army against him elisha sees the army and he is unperturbed he is not perplexed but his boy his apprentice sees the army because he cannot see what else elisha sees and he starts panicking because of his circumstance he feels my life in just about an hour or more i'm going to be dead with this prophet who has brought me into this mess am i talking to anybody silas must have felt exactly the same way with paul in the philippian dungeon am i talking to you yet have i asked you to slap somebody a high five i'm not going to do that because of covet protocol but i'm going to ask you to give somebody an elbow but not yet it's not your time for that i won't even need you to to be asked to give somebody an elbow and so uh he sees the boy's plight and it's part of the training process he says god open his eyes so that he can see with another sense called faith that they that be with us are greater than they that be with the enemy god opened his eyes and the boy slipped from fear to faith slipped from flight uh to facing his enemy he came to a place of courage and confidence because now he was getting what elijah had in his spirit he was getting it in his mind and unbeknown to him his own spirit began to agree with what his mind was saying to him as a result of what the prophet spoke to so this is what happens in church when i speak to you from my spirit informed by god's spirit it enters your mind and now your being has agreement because the whisper of your spirit has been trying to tell you the same thing but because you're now hearing it from somebody whose voice you respect whose voice god has attested with signs wonders and miracles your mind and your spirit come into agreement and now guess what friend you are about to happen in other words as a son of god you are about to manifest i said you are about to manifest [Applause] [Music] so our relationship is with god is not intellectual nor cognitive the relationship between our spirit and our mind can be intellectual and cognitive but between your spirit and god it is spiritual it is spiritual so when god takes himself deliberately out of your sensory perception realm he's saying that the relationship that i'm going to have with you child of god is not cognitive or intellectual but it is quintessentially spiritual romans 8 26 says the spirit also helps our infirmities for we know we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered problem if it is a groaning it cannot be nor can it be ah because it cannot be uttered that means that what he's speaking of here has no sound otherwise it would be perceptible to your uh audio sense your five senses hallelujah to god and so what does he mean when he says that it cannot be uttered it means there's no sound at all elijah was in a fiery complex of wind thunder rain and he did not hear god in the midst of all that noise but after all that had subsided the bible says in first kings chapter 19 and verse 12 the seek laws elijah heard from god in a still small voice what does still mean it means silent that means god was speaking to him outside of the audible range in the depth of his spirit david said it this way deep calls on to deep at the noise of your waterfalls your waves your oil your anointing has gone over me so god's voice is not audible i've heard god's voice deep in my spirit that it sounded audible but it was not audible and so um when i'm moving in a convoy i have a i have a walkie-talkie in my car and it has two functional channels and there's a general channel that everybody in the convoy can hear in fact there's leak into the public airways so if other people are tuned into that channel they can pick up our conversation but i have another channel so that when i want to speak to the commander of the convoy i can turn to that channel and my message to him nobody else will hear because it's between me and him god has a way of keeping some of his communication with you on a level that the enemy cannot access it otherwise the enemy would be able to block how you receive faith because faith comes by hearing spiritually that's what you call mixing it by faith by hearing spiritually he would be able to block it if it was audible but since it's not audible he cannot play with that zone at all because god speaks you in a language that even your mind does not understand so your spirit now has to speak it to your mind in a language that your mind understands so god has left himself intentionally out of the sensory perception cognitive realm so that he can relate to us deeply in the seat of our spirit then our spirit now talks to our mind about something that is not cognitively attained it's just something that's deep in your spirit may god bring to the fore the deep things he has placed in your spirit for example paul talks about peace that passes or surpasses understanding how can you have peace that surpasses understanding that surpasses cognition if your relationship with god is only intellectual and uh cognitive so if i relate with god intellectually and cognitively how can he give me peace that passes my cognition uh my intellectualism how can he give me peace that surpasses that because peace doesn't come to this realm it comes to your spirit and that peace doesn't care what's going on in your mind what your five senses are feeding your mind so that's why you can have a real hellhole going on in your life right now because of circumstances breaking of your finances breaking of your marriage breaking of your children breaking of your business breaking of your community breaking of your country everything broken down and everybody else is pulling out their hair and going through traumatic tragedy but you have peace like a river you're still calm and collected because even though you're hearing and seeing and smelling and tasting all the stuff that they are in their five senses you have another sense they keep saying to you though you pass through the flood you will not drown do you go through the fire it will not burn you though all hell breaks loose i'm going to show you heaven in the midst though nebuchadnezzar throws you in the fire i will not allow it to burn you so you don't have to bow you have peace have you ever been there before like when my father died i i wanted to cry so hard so bad i wanted to grieve i thought how can i survive he was everything to me he was in god's place in my life but i just could not grieve i had peace and no worry no anxieties about my future why because god's peace doesn't speak to my head or to my five speaks to my spirit and your spirit can overflow your whole being including your body and your mind and your emotions and calm you down that you start wondering why am i not crying why am i not pulling out my hair why am i not have you noticed when all hell breaks loose sometimes you have a peace you can't explain that's because god's relationship with you is not intellectual it's not cognition it is spiritual those who come to god jesus said to the woman of the world must come to me come to him in spirit and in truth it's not about intellectualism or theology we use intellectualism to communicate with one another to gain resonance between your head and your heart what your heart is already interrogating because the peace that god gives you has to be spiritual so that your mind cannot even conceive why you are so full of peace because cognitively with all you are going through your mind has cognitively deduced that you you ought to be a mental and emotional wreck right now but you aren't you're still processing soundly you still have peace of mind why because god has made a deposit in your spirit where he speaks to you about everything that's going on in your life case in point there are two living male fetuses one in elizabeth's womb the other in mary's womb the one in mary's room his name is jesus he's the messiah incarnate at the time that we're about to speak of he is not quite a month old whilst john the baptist to be is in his six month of term total of nine terms he's in his six months nine months he's in his sixth month when you study luke chapter one from the 42nd to the 44th verse as mary walks into elizabeth's house as directed by angel gabriel she greets her and the bible says that the babe left in elizabeth's womb meaning that in spite of four cutaneous layers of flesh john the baptist got a revelation that god in the flesh had just showed up and we know from medical science that at that stage john the baptist is not reading the jerusalem tribune of the jerusalem daily times he does not have the intellectual capacity so how he got the message was not intellectual it was spirit on spirit the spirit of christ on the spirit of john and he got the revelation that i am in the master's presence immediately his mother was full of the holy ghost in verse 15 of chapter one it says at that point he was baptized in the holy ghost 30 years later he sees jesus coming he still has the revelation that he's the master and says behold the lamb of god that takes away the sin of the world but after jesus ministry begun thereafter three or so years had lapsed and jesus shows john something john is not happy about that he jesus is the god of the outsider he's with the wine bibles the tax collectors the romans the pagans he's giving healing to syrophoenician canaanites to lepers he touches them when the law says you shouldn't but you can't book him or convict him because by the time you bring the evidence the leper is no longer leprous the bloody woman is no longer bloody the syrophoenicia is now a believer and he hears about all of jesus's fraternities with with strange people that he thinks as a result of all the teaching that he's gotten in his mind that this cannot be the messiah i'm mistaken and he sends a message to jesus are you the expected one are we to wait for another slap five people a high five right now or elbow and tell them don't let your mind talk you out of your revelation don't let your mind talk you out of your revelation revelation is spiritual whilst theology philosophy divinity they are philosophical they are intellectual they are cognitive and your cognitive mind does not know the power of god until it experiences it in the five sense realm whilst he doesn't come out of the invisible he sends miracles from the invisible till they become visible the miracle in your belly is about to become a reality on your lot the miracle in your belly is about to become a concrete reality in your bank account the miracle and vision that you carry in the insides of your depths it's like the earth's creation is about to show up and the supernatural is going to attest that this is the beloved of god that you are blessed and highly favored of the most high that god is on your side outsider and it's not based on piety nor is it based on performance it's based on revelation which gives you faith to know god for who he really is so tell two more people don't let your mind ever talk you out of your revelation so these outsiders have been individually in significant and steady decline whether you're talking about the woman with the issue of blood steady decline for 12 years or the singular leper who's now an adult and has had the leprosy for some time and he breaks out of the order of the ordinances of the day and comes face to face with the master and tells him that uh you know if you want to you can make me clean and this means that in order to come into community he had to wear a certain type of garment and he had to ring a bell like we used to do here and say unclean and clean and everybody would leave the space because they didn't want to catch his contagion because of the disease and because it would make them also outsiders are you with me now but the master does not flee the master is amazed by his faith and he looks at the man he says what you want i want it for you too that desire in your heart for privilege that belongs to the sons of god the ears of the most high the joint ears of christ god wants you to have it more than you want to have it and he looked back at the guy and said i want it for you and he touched him in his leprosy and instantly the man was made clean that means the charges for violating the law were acquitted because there was no more evidence and the master had made him clean and this is what started the advertorial where many more lepers now wanted to meet the master because they had started hearing and hearing and hearing about his many feats especially for the benefit of outsiders that's why you don't want to withhold your testimony your testimony lets other people just like you know that if god could do it for you he can do it for me and you and they and them also am i talking to somebody here i declare over your life before january comes to its close you too will have a remarkable testimony i only need about 500 people to shout their biggest amen and you will be that testator time forbids me i would have spoken about the syrophoenician woman too who whose daughter in her house was grievously vexed with a lunatic devil or all the four lepers that we spoken of a little bit or the man with a withered hand but in all these cases these persons had been defeated by their situations and they had nothing left but a little bit of hope and a little bit of faith now the jews believe that they could not be defeated by anybody if they were walking in the principle with god the principle in that time was the law which required you to operate by performance that you must keep the commandments of deuteronomy 28 and you'd get the deuteronomic blessings but if you violated them you will get the deuteronomic curses and so the principle then is in the new covenant when i am walking outside of the principle of faith then i have something to worry about because that's when defeat and destruction have an open door to a sail my life why because i am if i am walking in the principle i can have the victory but if i'm walking outside the principal uh i've attracted defeat it is the principle that protects now understand this under the law the principle that protects his performance under under grace the principle that protects is faith and jesus said it this way he said only believe in other words have faith and you will see the glory of god the new testament principle is therefore not performance it is faith so performance is the result of faith it's not how god credits you or rewards you it is your faith that he rewards and real faith has action with it show me a man who has faith i saw you a man who on top of his faith works for faith without works is dead ephesians 2 and verse 8 paul writes and i quote for you are saved by grace through faith lest any man should boast what he's saying is that you're not saved by grace nor are you saved by faith you need the two you need faith in god's grace what is god's grace god's grace is what god has freely done for you from the cross and thereby released a treasure trove of supplies directly to your address your personal your earthly house where you live in that body and once you believe that it is free as a result of something that was most expensive the cross that is is yours then that is faith so faith takes what grace makes so god gives the grace but you must believe in the message of his grace that gives you faith to take what grace makes are you with me now so let's go further that means that i must believe that if the lord is my righteousness that as far as the father is concerned there is no unrighteousness in me therefore no weapon that is fashioned against me shall be able to prosper why because judgment whether it's through the attack of enemies cannot thrive where you are righteous in the sight of god because god will defend everything righteous that means i must believe that if god before me he who what where can anything be against me so how do i know that god is for me because he made him who knew no sin becomes sin for me that i don't know about you might be made the same way he was made sin that i might be made the righteousness of god through christ jesus hence paul in romans five and one boldly declares we are made righteous we are justified what by faith through jesus christ our lord so therefore i know that god is for me so who is that person where is that witch what is that sickness who is that individual like a butcher would say where is that egot [Laughter] therefore i must believe that in spite of all that i can perceive in my sensory perception realm as to what people are saying or what the doctor has reported or the house that's collapsing or the hell that's breaking loose on every side of my life i choose not to believe my sensory realm because if god is for me i know he's going to protect me so i have to shut down my five cents realm ignore it i hear it but i don't listen to it i see it but i don't focus on it i smell it but i don't breathe in much what i do instead is i listen to the depth in my spirit for deep calls on too deep and when i begin to hear from him i've trusted him for a long time now i know in whom i have believed and i'm fully persuaded that he's able to keep that which i have committed to him against the day of my deliverance so even if it doesn't come in my first year or my sixth year or my ninth year or i'm almost tired now because it's my 11th year i know he that will come will come and do he tarry wait for him because he will certainly sooner now than later show up in somebody's life just about now your mind is getting a witness of what your spirit has been telling you for the last 12 years any moment from now roll out the chariots settle your horses pull out your ten pegs enlarge your borders because something the devil cannot defy it hell cannot deny it your mind is already witnessing it something is about to happen but if it's not gonna happen in your life go ahead cross your hands sit pretty act important intellectualize everything but there's somebody here who the spirit of god in my voice is speaking to the spirit in you and you're getting a witness that any moment from now i must not give up my faith i must not give into my sensory perception but i must simply just accept that he's not a man to lie nor the son of man to relent if he spoke it in my spirit it's going to be an amen in christ jesus is that somebody's word if it's your word you have 20 seconds of freedom shout the victory for what god has said he's going to bring about in your life shout the victory that's going to defy all the things you're seeing hearing touching tasting and smelling that suggests otherwise shouts about it [Music] [Applause] [Music] so here is the woman with the issue of blood she hears something in her spirit because of what she's been hearing in her voice in her ears that this person got healed that leper got here these ten lepers got here this man with the withered hand got here this other man who was born by four stricken with paralysis he got healed and she realizes that there's a common thread they're all outsiders and she's an outsider of outsiders she says i also have a chance and the moment she starts processing it here her spirit says i've got agreement and the two start reinforcing one another and she comes out of the house one morning and she says i hear he's just over there maybe the third tear at the back and a crowd has gathered around him and there's a crowd moving towards him and he's in the midst of a crowd she does not care that she's got a flow in between her legs she's padded enough sanitary towels to absorb it all until she gets to that moment and she keeps moving but there's one thing that we must say the bible says she kept on saying if you look at the greek tense she kept on saying where in other words she didn't have to open her mouth she kept on saying within herself if i can just touch not the master but something that was touching him that's why there's a church because there are many people who are in touch with him and sometimes when you can't get him because you're not spiritually relative enough you can touch somebody who's touching him so that the common commandeering of a man's voice carries the spirit's word so that even if you can't hear him spiritually your mind gets it and that becomes the opportunity of your spirit to have resonance and then the two start conversing and you start figuring within your mind that he must be talking about me that's how come a guy had had teeth issues that were causing him severe pain he heard a testimony here two sundays ago and he said that must be me it must be me it's me and the more he kept saying that within himself he said before the service was over before the testimony was over his teeth had lost all their pain and he went outside to go and buy smoke chops and he kept eating small chops to discover that he had no more pain left you know what was happening he was hearing a word there was already a word in the spirit but too many of us pay more attention to the five senses that we lose out on what your spirit is saying contra distinctively to your five senses and you discard it as wishful thinking but the reason why god said the word was so that there would be resonance there for those who are still growing and learning how to hear the voice of god in their spirit so when you hear it in your mind your mind feels with this possibility especially when the preacher is not flat-footed but he's preaching like a hammer or like a a an engineer with a hammer and a rivet till it gets down inside of you and then all of a sudden your own spirit resonates and the conversation becomes fellowship between your mind and your spirit is your mind fellowshipping with your spirit right now just about now your vision should be coming alive felix this is what happened to elizabeth when jesus uh mother greeted her her vision her baby started to leap that means there was something about the spirituality of that moment that though she received the greeting in her mind it touched something in her spirit hallelujah to god touch something in her belly i don't know who you are dead dreams are going to come alive in january that vision is going to be rebirthed in january new lease of life is going to come to that project that you had abandoned things that you had said would never work anymore because of what you could see in your five cents real god told me to tell you he is about to do it for you who am i talking to if that's your word i want you to shout yeah top we have nowhere near there yet so let's go a little further 11th year nothing has happened for her 11 years six months nothing but she's heard these advertorials and she eventually sees that he's nearby and she has so much of an album of adverts of real people with real problems who are as outside as she was getting their breakthrough because they would not stay on the outside of jesus they went to meet his very presence with their need and when need and revelation collide with the presence of the one revealed a miracle is about to happen who is that for and so now what you must not do is worry because the enemy can only get you if you are walking outside the principle of god but somebody says pastor we have angels to protect us yes i know i preach that but the angel is only a messenger with a message from god and so you are not protected by the messenger you are protected by the message and the one who sent him with the message and so if you don't believe the message the messenger cannot help you so don't worry about your haters instead believe god haters only validate the very fact that you are very gifted and highly favored by god and so if you are not hated by anybody on a significant level it's because you're not gifted if you're not hated significant it's because you haven't developed your gift and so we see this woman she's uh outside her house and she keeps saying within herself if i can only just touch the hem of his gum and i will be made whole and why does she have to keep saying this because every time she looks out or listens up she sees people who are lawyers pharisees or they're following and she knows that they must know her because her problem is no longer private when you have a problem that long everybody is eventually going to know about it and the doctor is their doctor too and the physician is their physician too and the pharmacist is their pharmacist too and so if the pharmacist knows and the physician knows and the obstetrician and gynecologist know then you can bet that everybody in her community knew so she had to defy them and defy all that her five senses were suggesting to her because if they saw her and took their eye of jesus and looked at her she would be sent back to her house back to the outside but she kept saying i'm not going to be defeated if i can just touch the hem of his garment i will be made whole you see you sometimes don't have that level of desperation when your problem has only been four days or when it's only been one month but when it's been 12 years and you're sick and tired of being away from your kids away from being married away from your husband away from normal life away from victory afraid from the benefits of community friend you will stop at nothing you won't take no for an answer regardless of who is saying the no it was like the man who was sick of policy where could faith possibly come from when you've been uh hemorrhaging and losing so much for so long when things have only been in downward decline in your graph where could faith possibly come from certainly isn't coming from the outside it has to come from the inside and this woman found audacity by hearing from god on the inside supported by the many testimonies that she had heard of people who got their deliverance from the master and she kept saying i will not be turned back i will not take no for an answer i'm not going home without my breakthrough i will not go back the same way i came hear me friends sensory perception is always against faith every believer has to deal with the reality of their own environmental reality of what they see what they hear and the reality of god who contrarily they cannot see so even though i'm not connected to god through my sensory perception i am connected to him through my spirit so you can mess with my environment you can mess with my fridge my car you can mess with the things i can see on the outside but you cannot break my spirit with situations and circumstances why because my power is not in what i see or hear or what i feel or taste or touch my power is where the enemy cannot get to he cannot get to my spirit that's why when all hell is breaking loose you can have peace that passes understanding it listen to me church satan doesn't just want you to be in a storm so he sends the storm to your outside because he can't get to your inside but the storm is there because he wants to push the storm into you so that you don't go through the storm instead the storm goes in to you and the result is that you are psychologically and emotionally damaged and you lose your mind so that when opportunities come you shrink when opportunities present themselves you draw back when there's a chance for you to become something great or do something or have something or be someone you draw back because of the damage to your mentality and the the the fraying of your own emotions so you give in to the enemy and you allow him to keep you on the outside but the devil is a liar because that next opportunity that's coming to you i believe that you're going to seize it and maximize it and instead of being scared and intimidated you're going to win where others lose because of prior damage am i talking to somebody and so time is against me you must have faith you must have faith so that the enemy doesn't control your mind by sensory perception what is faith what is faith faith comes from inside your spirit as a result of your spirit receiving from god now whilst you're receiving faith faith in your spirit your mind through hearing the word of god at fellowship or in bible study or hearing a preacher teach correctly the word of god can feel your understanding but it doesn't give you a relationship with god it can enhance your relationship with god only by agreement with your spirit so when your spirit says something to you you disposition yourself spiritually for to be spiritually minded is life to be carnally or sensorily minded is death that means you don't live from the outside in you live from deep inside out so you are looking at and hearing of a horrific situation in your life that portends peril and penary but instead you are also convinced on the inside of the truth that god in you and god with your spirit can do easily what men call impossible are you with me so it's not my situation that controls my actions it's not my situation that says where i can go and where i cannot go it's not my circumstance that tells me what i can have or what i cannot have what i can be or what i cannot be it is my spirit where faith resides that let me know that concerning me there are no limits with what god can do who am i preaching to now milligan a great theologian teaches this and he speaks of faith in hebrews 11 1 and says faith is title for those things that you are firmly convinced that god has ready for you i was once working on the far side of lagos as a pastor and uh it was time to go to lunch and it wasn't to a nice restaurant on the island it was to a mama put somewhere on the backside of ogba's backside and when we got to the place the associate pastor pointed me to the restaurant it didn't look like a restaurant at all it had a piece of brown ball and it said food is ready and it struck me the the meal was already ready to be served not like a normal restaurant this was fast food african style and we sat down to eat weevils embellishing the rice and two more and one broccoli and the stew was real nice but i was scared that i was going to have a running stomach but but my point was that food is ready what's the advertorial your blessing is waiting for you it's not you waiting for your blessing all you have to have is faith in order to eat that meal i needed to get off my desk chair walk to my colleague's office and say let's go eat and we took our first step and it led to a second and a third to he concluded the number of steps needed to get to the restaurant and we got there and the sign said food is ready your miracle is ready your house is ready your breakthrough is ready your healing is ready your wholeness is ready your blessing that you've never seen in your lineage before it is ready oh you didn't hear me let me try the folks over here it is ready [Applause] and so you know what i do when it's ready i feed my faith i listen to the testimonies i bring out the catalogue of them i read the ones in scripture i read the ones in time i read the ones in the history and the timeliness of this house just to remind myself and my mind because my mind has this awkward habit of trying to talk my spirit out of its revelation and your mind has more control over your choices than your spirit does your mind is in your soul your soul is where action is taken unspiritual people pay no heed to their spirit they only listen at their mind and their mind is unfortunately mostly fed by the five cents realm that's why paul said don't walk by faith sorry don't walk by sight that includes the other four senses instead walk by faith so milligan continues to teach sit down we're just talking and he says now piss this that's faith we'll talk about that in a moment is the substance of things hope for that word substance is hypostasis in the greek and substance means title deed title that's what substance means and then he goes on to say and butcher says the point and faith is the evidence that's the greek word ellen kos which means conviction so what is milligan saying he's saying that pistes firm conviction firm breakthrough delivering faith is first title and then immovable conviction that what i cannot see and what i cannot yet touch is already mine so the way i want to illustrate it to you is about 14 years ago they bought me a car a nice black mercedes-benz s63 signed by amg is probably the best engine that amg made of that model somebody else owns it now and we've got the car pastor when will it get here it could take about three months three months came no car said when we were looking another two or three months no car took about eight months to deliver the car something like that and about three months into the waiting period the gentleman brought me the title deed it gave me some assurance i i calmed down because i now had peace that surpassed my sensory perception of the absence of the car i had ownership of something that was not even in the country and how did i know i had ownership i had authentic title what i'm trying to say to you in the teaching of milligan is that you must have a sense of entitlement to everything that god has sealed and signed with the blood of his son concerning your rights and benefits entitlement gives you courage and audacity the woman knew that if i just get to the hem of his garment regardless of what anybody thinks or says i am entitled to take my blessing from him she took it from him his will was not involved in other words he was not willing to give her the miracle he would have been if she asked but she wasn't going to wait for him to have a discussion in the midst of people who did not think he should have a discussion with that type of woman in that type of condition that means that god already has laid the table and he's not sending waiters to wait on you he expects you to come to the buffet this is not waiter service this is buffet service that means you don't get it by a way to coming to your table you've got to get up out of your table where you're seated and go to the buffet his name is christ anywhere you oppress him grace will come out anywhere you touch free favor will show up i don't know who i'm preaching to but milligan doesn't stop there he tells us that you are entitled so take a moment and tell three or four people that i'm entitled to be the head and not the tail i'm entitled to be above only and not beneath i'm entitled to be a winner and not a loser i'm entitled to be whole and not sick i'm entitled to be healed healthy and not unwell i'm entitled to be delivered from this cancer this malignancy this leukemia this lung disease this covid this all that all the other i am entitled now here is my watch it's mine i have the receipt i'm the owner of the watch somebody gave it to me many years ago as a birthday present god bless him i think his name is akins and it's my watch it's titled and i've parked it here i dare you to touch it service will end my watch will still be there god help the person that gets in my way of my watch or thinks that it's theirs to take because it is mine it belongs to me and so it brings me more quickly than i wanted to to my text and here we have in our text a man who has been paralyzed in his body which means every other facet of his life is as paralyzed his economy is paralyzed his relationships are paralyzed his uh marital scenario if he has one or if he holds one it's paralyzed his industry is paralyzed or his industriousness is paralyzed because he is paralyzed but fortunately for him when god allows everything to be lost in your life he'll leave you at least four men or one man or one person who carries you until you don't need to be carried anymore god won't let you down he kept the woman alive for 12 years the greater miracle was not her deliverance is that he sustained her hope and sustained her faith for all 12 of her waiting years so that by the time the master showed up even though a woman a girl had just died god was on his way to that girl and the woman stopped him in the middle of that road and said i want the miracle the miracle was about to show but she touched the hem of his garment and she took the miracle but here this he kept walking after he talked with her and he went to jairus's daughter's house and brought her back to life god can never be depleted he is infinite the fact that i get a miracle doesn't mean you miss yours in fact when i get mine as a sign that yours is available that your miracle is ready and all you have to do is do like jerry as worship him and go get your own miracle and so here is this man they've all heard or at least one of them has heard and has enough influence to bring the four together and they pick him up and they look for jesus who they've heard so much about may you continue to hear m more and more and more and more about what jesus did in history what he does in time and may you hear in your spirit what he will do in the future because hebrews 13 8 he is the same yesterday today and forevermore and they heard and they decided we're going to take our brother to christ christ was already teaching in this house i'm told it was a house of peter and was a large house and the doctors the pharisees and the lawyers were all there that meant he was going to be under scrutiny as concerns the law and remember that jesus said i am come to fulfill the law that meant he was going to live out all the implication of the law not for you because sorry not for himself but for you because he was already what the law was aspiring to perfection as of god you get it and here he is fulfilling the law to the jot and tittle now he is not subject to the law because he is god but he is also man so in his humanity he has to obey the law except when he suspends his humanity and allows his divinity to show and so they arrive at the house they've obviously made up their mind before they left the house we are not turning back you know there's a level of faith you must have that when i go to church this sunday i'm not going back the same way i came i'm not going home with the same problem i arrived at church with you you must have that sort of inner agreement with yourself all three components of your humanity or your human being that i am not going home the same way i am going to meet the presence of god whether he shows up in the worship or whether he shows up with the pastor or whether he doesn't show up he will show up for me because all i need is to take my knee to the presence of god and i know that this man is god jesus christ and so they're going maybe one of the boys wanted to draw back the guy in the street said please don't let me down now this will be the last time you will have to carry me if you are being carried now you need to be able to let them know not long from now just get me to my destination you won't have to carry me anymore i won't need your ride to church i won't need you to give me a little taxi money i won't need to borrow your coat or your car i won't need your moral support because i believe that once i can come into the master's presence i don't see that you have two heads in fact you're not as good as i am and inspired because we do the same stuff but i have faith that once i can see the master and touch him with my spirit because her touch was not a physical touch alone it was a spiritual touch and when she touched him it was not epidermis to epidermis it was spirit to spirit [Music] [Applause] instances he took it home so these boys must have had an agreement that i'm we're not going back and if any one way because there were three others or at least two others and certainly that boy they would keep going forward only to arrive at the house and the crowd outside the house was more than what was inside so when they went to the towards the door they could not get there can you imagine that that is the door and between here and the door there's crowd nowhere to pass and i'm not the governor i'm not the senator i'm not the president i don't have cyrene how will i go when they two are looking for what i'm looking for i have paralysis in an obvious way they may have paralysis in an obvious way so how and why should they let me through they tried the window there was still press crowd there yet these boys were not going home without their answer they had decided we will not take no friends isn't it wonderful to have real friends who will agree with you that we will not take no from that so you know perhaps why because having to carry him every day they might have been his sons they could have been his cousins his brothers they were all so tired of the problem because when something is sick in your house it makes everybody in the house sick so they all had decided enough is enough do we have any enough is enough people in this house now hold it a moment i know you dress up so nice because we cover our pains we cover our problems we don't want our situation to be so obvious and so let's put all that aside are there any persons here who in spite of what you drove up in and how much you have in your bank account and what you look like so resplendent and beautiful right now but you know pastor i have to be covered in front of people but i want to be naked before god if you're one of those who want to be naked before god that spirit on spirit lift your two hands as a sign of your faith and i want you to talk to god for only 30 seconds about your problem that as far as today is concerned i'm not leaving here until my breakthrough is soundly settled in my understanding and in my reality in the name of jesus oh i don't know if you hear me what i'm saying but you only have 20 seconds this is not time to be sensorially perceptive of the people around you this is time to close your five senses down and open up your spiritual sense called faith and let god know i am in your presence and i will not be turned back i will not leave until you release my breakthrough into my mind into my body into my personal experience i need your invisible anointing to touch me in a visible place till my breakthrough is a settled matter and hear me child of god you have to take your seat right now i have some important things i still want to tell you i'm rushing as fast as i can to a close these boys got near the door but couldn't get in because of the crowd they probably tried the window couldn't get in tried another one couldn't get in till they decided we'll go up and break the roof down because the only place where there are no people is the roof you dare to go where no men have gone as it concerns faith and somehow they climbed up to the roof with a stretcher and a paralyzed boy they didn't stop there they obviously found some instruments and implements and they obviously did not come with them it's amazing what faith will find it's amazing how far faith will go it's amazing what faith will do and they started to knock away until the roof tiles were broken and removed then they had the concrete or the mortar to deal with they started to break a hole big enough to lower a whole stretcher one person called it a couch and they lowered it down into the master's prisons they couldn't break through people but they could break through brick and mortar people are your most deadly opponents and enemies your enemies to your breakthrough are normally the people seated beside you sometimes lying in the bed with you sometimes working with you on your job and sitting with you in your office and so sometimes your pathway will not be through people and these boys realize these folk don't care about us the insiders and the would-be insiders they're more preoccupied with their own central focus which is always themselves that they won't make space for you because if you think that people are going to make space for you just because you want something you are mistaken my question is how bad do you want it do you want to break down structures break down protocol break down systems defy your five senses defy the sensory perception realm and say i am not going back home so god you have to make a way where there seems to be no way and the mouth is preaching and all of a sudden he hears this noise then after the noise he sees debris roof tiles brick and mortar falling to the ground he steps aside then a whole couch starts lowering that means they found rope from somewhere and they lowered him into his presence and he did not stop them he had not seen faith like this except in two other places he did not ask them to stop in fact he admired them the way he admired peter because they had revelation that if anybody can fix this when the doctor the physician the orthopedist cannot the neurologist the neurosurgeon the neuroscientists cannot if anybody can fix this they had the revelation that he could he's the scientist of scientists that's why he's called omni-shent omniscient as we say in nigeria and the bible said he saw their faith that what they were hearing in their spirit was stronger than what they were seeing and hearing with their eyes and their ears and touching with their senses it was bigger to them than their five senses and he tempted the lawyers he knew that his condition was because of either original sin and or ancestral sin and or personal sin past present and he said son as after he saw their pistes operating in hypostasis and elencos that's for you guys and when he saw it he said something he said your sins are forgiven you because under the law everybody knew that in those days if you were sick or had issues or problems it was judgment because of sins whether the sins of the father or the great-grandfather etc all the way to adam or whether it was personal sin or the compounding of all is that your sins are forgiven you instantly he made him righteous instantly he qualified him for the miracle he could have gone straight and said take up your bed and walk you could have done that but he only said this because of the pharisees and they instantly started reasoning in their minds that this is blasphemy who does this carpenter's son think that he is to pronounce forgiveness of sin on somebody and he was trying to teach them something that i cannot only forgive sin forgiving sin is not my only capacity as god in the flesh because he was not always direct because he did not want to get caught under the law because a man could not claim to be god but if he did things that only god could do then he would be proving to them that i am the expected messiah this is for the john the baptist and the john the baptist teachers the ones who taught john what john asked him the question about are you the one or should we expect another so he said why do you reason in your mind he didn't hear them audibly but he was picking up on their minds because he had the word of knowledge why do you reason within your minds even so is it not so that the one who can forgive sin can also say right now take up your bed and walk so that you might know that he's the same one who can't forgive sin and he said all right no you're it's a man he said your sins are forgiven you then he has the conversation with the pharisees and the doctors and the lord he says just to prove to you that i am who i say i am take up your bed carry a chair hold it and go your way to your house to your heart no don't don't run don't run he's on his way to the house in front of the whole crowd can you imagine how many got their miracle having rejected the four boys and their friend seeing him go out a different way he came there are some candidates in this room right now everybody has seen your problem everybody knows your problem and they've left you on the outside whether because of sin or because of satan or because of sickness or because of serious paralysis in your business or your life or your economy and they see your problem but i want you to know the same people who saw your problem and despised your passage they forbade your pathway they didn't let you in they're going to be the ones who are going to run after you to say please lay hands on me please just talk to me please if i can just touch somebody who christ's touch i will be made whole and all of jerusalem erupted or capernaum erupted i don't know who you are but friend something is about to happen in your life you pick the right day to come to the house of god but is it the house of god you came to can i make it clear these boys went to peter's house that was where jesus was was it the house they went to they went to the presence the dynamic illustrious manifest presence of the incarnate god and they just wanted to get into his presence where his sensory perception would pick up on them communicate to his spirit and then from his spirit he spoke the deliverance and they took it and went but there was another woman a syrophoenician woman she was on the outside and was called the dog because her people were heathened they were pagans they had no relationship with god at all and she comes to him crying after him because she has all kinds of trouble in the house because her daughter is demonically possessed by a wild spirit of lunacy and she calls out jesus son of david have mercy on me and he says it's not proper for me to give the children's bread to the dogs dogs means heathen people without covenant and and outsiders exactly and she he says to her she says to him yes lord but your children are wasteful they leave so many crumbs that even the lap dogs yes i'm a dog but even the lap dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters table see hungry people create a move of god where those in the house god is not even moving because they are they have no faith they don't even want anything from him so somebody touched me oh god we're all here they thought it was a physical touch and jesus stopped and he said to her said to her woman in all of israel i have not seen such great faith go your way your your daughter your daughter because of your faith has made you whole what am i trying to say i'm trying to say that there are 20 people in this section first five rows there's 20 of you not one of you have the same concept of god as another your concept of god cannot be the same as my concept of god i conceptualize god differently from how you conceptualize god even though we feed from the same stream we eat the same word we listen to the same dogma and doctrine are you with me but my god is different from your god he's the same god but i perceive him or i conceive him differently because of my experiences my calling uh uh the direction of my life likewise your calling your this position your direction causes you to conceptualize him differently one seed from one man can go into 10 different women and each one of the 10 children will be different because they conceptualize the seed differently hallelujah what i'm trying to say to you is that i refuse for you to impose a small god into my conceptualization you can have your small god if you want to and i know that as far as you are concerned he is the father of the lord jesus but i refuse to take that as how i deal with god because for me i've always had big problems from when i was in my mother's womb i've always had big problems from reception and kindergarten in my primary school i've always had big problems especially at bobby college where they kicked me to for a couple of years then they sent me to a white school where i was the only black boy for quite a while and i had bigger problems then they introduced me to some of the riotous ways of of teenage boys and i had bigger problems and bigger highs and bigger issues i've always needed a big god and then i had a big daddy who also created a lot of problems for me unwittingly so you can have your small god but i insist that my god is bigger than the bishop he's bigger than the denomination he's bigger than the central bank governor he's bigger than buhari he's bigger than africa he's bigger than the problem that you have because i don't only have to deal with my problem my job is to help you deal with your problem so i need a bigger god than the size of god that you need because i have to help you in your energy crisis i have to help you in your economic crisis i have to help you in your marital crisis i have to help you with that ailment in your body and for you there are at least another hundred thousand with the same issue i cannot live by faith in a small god my god is bigger than the universe he's bigger than what created the sun moon and stars he's bigger than eternity here he's bigger than time and with my god the things that are impossible for big men and small gods my god finds very easy that's why i make bold to declare to you today is today outsider now is your time god's going to bring you in david he's going to bring you up moses he's going to bring you in rahab he's going to bring you to and uh mary from magdala he's going to bring you up sarah phoenician woman and she went home and that same hour that the master pronounced deliverance she found that her daughter was made healed made whole at the same time something for somebody here happened during this message you will find out tomorrow in the office some of you when you get home you'll find out when you get home others of you you're going to get a first fruit of what will take a whole harvest for total deliverance so you'll speak to somebody when you get home or when you get in the car and they're going to tell you of what just happened and it may not be everything yet but it's a sign that the miracles are growing the breakthroughs are happening then others by friday it's going to happen somebody else you're due to travel at a certain point in time when you get to your destination what you will meet there you've never conceived it possible but you are alerted this morning in your spirit that every dead dream in my life will start kicking like john in elizabeth's womb outsider now is your time amen the presence of god is so strong here and i don't want you to close the service without getting into that opportunity and seizing it completely and so if you if you can i want you to stand to your feet i was going to touch romans 8 1-3 and colossians 2 and 13 but you studied them when you get home in romans 8 verse 1 he says there is now therefore no condemnation sin was taken completely out of the way and those of you here who because of sin you think god cannot bless you everybody that god healed was a sinner everybody everyone that jesus touched or healed or helped they all had sin issues in their lives because the law could never deal with sin and they were all under the law so we know whether they were pharisees or married from magdala who were open with their sin or the pharisees closed about their sin everybody had a sin issue and it's only a fool who thinks that you don't have a sin issue because you can see what somebody else only has [Music] high-mindedness will keep you out of god's presence when you come like the sinner you know the public said i thank god i'm not like this sinner and jesus said who's more justified the guy who said i'm
