Honor Magic 6 Pro Cameras - Some Bad News!

what's up a fans welcome back to another video and today I am going in depth with the honor magic 6 BR cameras this might be the most volatile hit and miss camera system on the market this weekend I traveled to Geneva for the international Motor Show and I took along this bad boy to get some fantastic photos and videos and along the way I did get some fantastic photos and videos but I also got some just downright strange outputs from this device so I want to start with the good and then I'm going to move on to the bad they I can't even lie they're just bad when it comes to the wide and Ultra wide and even the 2.5 times optical zoom I can stand here and honestly say that the photos it produces are fantastic I'm going to flash up dozens of images as I'm talking so hopefully you enjoy all of these so I'm going to talk about some positives first before I move to the negatives positives have to be that most of the time these images are great looking at this fantastic Aston Martin Valkyrie or the Ferrari F40 and all the other cars you can see at the motor show the camera particularly the wide and Ultra wide just took fantastic shots now to get a different subject matter I did make sure to get some photos of the mountains in Geneva and again in daylight the ultra wide and wide just hit perfectly I mean sharpness saturation colors everything was just so pure and even when you take it to lower light these photos were in a a huge massive conention Center and obviously other than the lights Shone on all the cars it's a fairly dim environment but this camera produced just epic pictures and then when we move to the video I'd argue that the video on auto magic 6 Pro is its best feature outdoor indoor daylight low light I never seen any noise whatsoever and weirdly zooming in on video was probably better than zooming in in photos and we'll talk about that in a minute the stability zooming in while walking around the center out here in Geneva bright sunlight just it really really looked great so I'll give you some more examples of lots of other photos I took and then we'll talk about the [Music] negatives every every every [Music] every [Music] I should also say you're probably thinking hold on that Geneva the day after I came back from Geneva I met a friend in town and we were in edin that's the top of Carland Hill um really nice view so in case you're confused no not all of that scenery was from Switzerland now the negatives a few photos I didn't show you in Geneva where portraits some of the portrait photos just missed the fringes the edging the subject it was just really odd how harsh especially when you look at the actual phone so to give you an idea when I look at the phone I mean you were literally seeing like a square inch of the car and the rest was all blurry it's only once I took the photo and it done all its processing It produced an image like this now even this image isn't great but trust me when you're looking at the phone you're really really worried to the point where I spent about 10 minutes looking at the settings gole goling what was wrong with the device it was yeah it was worrying to say the least and it wasn't just inside cars a portrait with this human subject it's really really strong now there is pro mode and you can work on the bouquet but let's be honest you I 100% people just want to go to that portrait setting click the shutter button and get a fantastic portrait unfortunately with the portrait photos more often than not they were a miss and now for the big one any average dad fan so anybody that knows me knows that I love a zoom lens and you will also know that I've been super excited to get the honor magic 6 Pro because it has the biggest and largest sensor on any telephoto lens it's 1 over 1.4 in and it's 1880 megapixels so I was expecting big things and that might be my issue Maybe maybe I've expected too much however in some of these photos if I had spent £100 on the phone I'd be disappointed let alone ,000 so on our have their advert you can YouTube it I'm popping it here just now where there's like a mountain shot and then there's like a deer on the mountain and it zooms right in and it's the perfect shot now folks I'm not zipped up the back I know that's all fake but any real life you would like to think you can get something near that no so here's the ultra wide view that I was looking at now let's pop into the 2.5 times Optical which to me looks really good again really happy with a two and a half times Optical but now let's push it let's go to its full 100 times and see if we can get that nice dear standing still shot no I you not this is the image I got from the zoom lens I like to say a potato would be doing a disservice to a potato this is one of the worst images I have ever seen and folks let me be clear we are not taking a photo of something that is fast moving it's a mountain it ain't moving it's also used in their advertising I've literally tried to find like the perfect setting to mimic their advert and this is the 100 time zoom shot it produces and that's not a oneoff here's some other Zoom shots that just look pretty bad so with all that being said in those images I talked about how the s24 ultra is the the Android King and I will do a full review on this device and before I actually summarize this video I would just like to say that again there are some fantastic images and videos the act the video is the most impressive part about this camera setup to be honest but other aspects of the phone that I'll talk about in the review I left for my flight to Geneva at 4 a.m. in the morning so I took my phone off charge about 3:30 a.m. on the Saturday a.m. I then didn't need to charge it again until Sunday night 36 roughly hours later or 40 hours later I charged the device it still had 27% and I had used it to take 300 plus photos videos Google Maps when we were over there I'm super super impressed both of the people I traveled with had iPhones one had an iPhone 11 which died after a few hours had to buy by a charger the other one had an iPhone 15 and again it was dead by the end of the Saturday night not not this Sunday night but this Saturday night so the battery on this device is fantastic so if you're not particularly a zoom fan I'm not putting you off this phone but I'll keep all that for for the the full review I just wanted to say that I'm not completely bashing this phone there are aspects of the photos and videos and definitely the wide and Ultra wide that are fantas fantastic I just wanted to as I always do be honest and open with you that this is not the zoom phone I thought it was going to be now whether onor do updates and make it better because let's be honest nowadays smartphones it's all about the processing yes there's something to do with the sensor size but really processing is what matters for a th000 phone or an £1100 phone without vouchers honor are missing the mark too much as it is right now to justify that if I had to pick up an Android device I think it's quite clear I'd pick up my s24 ultra to take photos videos comparable so hopefully you've
