Homemade crane part 1

hi there I got a project I got going here I just want to show you now most of most of the auto cranes you see are four to six even $10,000 this one is going to cost me nothing this is the the tower here and the boom will be mounted here at this point and go up and then the cylinder here this is a pneumatic cylinder that came up car lift I'm going to take off all of the handle and all that stuff but this one is going to be mounted right there and what I'm using for joints for it to pivot is just tubing and ground stock its 4140 cold-rolled about a quarter inch thick this is 7/8 and I polished it down to get a really nice tight fit pretty strong stuff the one that's already been welded in bouton mad I see if I can turn it so you can see I'm drilling holes quarter inch holes so I can put grease hurts and all this is this is a 3/8 sheet metal on a half inch base with a piece big piece of pipe that's a half inch thick eight inches in diameter on the bottom is actually a f-350 four-wheel drive front axle hub and pivots pivots really nice it's going to tip over now if I move it with and there it's very strong and then so we got the cylinder the gantry set up this is going to be the boom this is a three and a half by two or quarter inch tubing it will have a small extension not much just a couple extra feet but yeah this is the beginning of the project it's a seven foot boom with a three inch extension it's going to have will have an electric powered winch obviously a pneumatic cylinder that will run off my compressor and then the the turning radius I haven't got that on here yet but I'm actually just using a flywheel I'm going to cut the center out of it and weld it right around here and then I have a small gearbox that I'm going to put on there that I can hook up to my drill um but I will make my next video and she shall be complete and in the truck thanks for watching bye
