any kind of way to disrespect him because i know he's a bishop but i'm saying that from a brother that it's just a shame how this man of god preaches the way he do sunday after sunday week after week listen new zion temple if you're not happy about your pastor's shame on you you ought to thank god for your man of god you can tell how much god loves a church by the shepherd he gives you amen but at your house with and i'm so grateful thank god for all of the pastors that are here today uh thank you pastor now from driving all the way from mendon louisiana to be with us today he told pastor jacobs that he was coming and he was a man of his word thank you so very much listen i know y'all have been churching all week i'm not gonna hold you along but there's a word found in exodus chapter 14. exodus chapter 14 um and i promise y'all i'll tie this in to cavalry some kind of way i know this is holy week and uh shame on you if you can shout over cars and clothes and can't shout over the cross now i'm sorry i'm i'm sorry um kind father we thank you tonight for what our eyes have seen our ears have heard and our hearts are filled thank you for your precious power god we pray now that you would anoint my mind my mouth and my message holy steady in the hollow of your hand god we don't need a sermon we don't need a script we need a word tonight father we need the word that's going to give us joy in the time of sorrow a word that's going to give us hope for tomorrow i'm your instrument tonight play me in any key that you see fit that you'll get the glory out of my life this we ask in jesus name amen exodus chapter 14 beginning at verse number 29 i want to commence there and conclude at verse number 31 when you get it signify by saying amen but the children of israel walked upon the dry land in the midst of the sea and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left thus the lord saved israel that day out of the hand of the egyptians and israel saw that the egyptians were dead upon the seashore and israel saw that great work which the lord did upon the egyptians and the people feared the lord and believe the lord and in his servant moses god bless you i want to preach from this subject with the lord helping your prayers tonight i can't take the credit for this when you look at somebody that come to have church don't talk to nobody that booze you and big time but find you somebody who came up the roof side of the mountain and just tell them say neighbor oh neighbor i don't know about you but i can't take the credit for this brothers and sisters i'm often baffled by the fact that god in his infinite wisdom chooses to partnership with humanity to accomplish a divine work furthermore when we consider that our god is a holy god but yet he uses unholy hands to materialize a holy work then each of us tonight ought to give god praise and give god the glory all i'm trying to tell you tonight that the reason why all of us should be motivated to praise and worship god tonight is because he desires to use us in spite of us now now i know you i know you wonderful and i know you well off but i need some real people who can give god praise because in spite of you god still uses you now i need some people who can testify yes i have had some mistakes and some mishap yes i have done some things i had no business of doing i've gone some places i had no business of going i've even done some things that i had no business of doing but the reason why i shouted in church it is not because i'm a millionaire it is not because i live in a mega house i'm shouting cause he keeps using me in spite of me yes all messed up me yes oh crazy me yes oh wretched me i need some people that's in this place tonight who can shout over the fact that guards keep god keeps using you in spite of you now some of y'all acting like everything you drunk was just coca-cola and everything you smoke was just cigarettes but there's some stuff you done done that you can't tell nobody but you can thanks be to god tonight that he still uses you in spite of you okay i gotta go lay it in your lap cause you just looking at me if this ever been your prayer you ought to shout right now lord if you get me out of this i promise you i ain't going back to it hold up that's why i'm shouting right now because every time he allows us to serve in any capacity in church and even in ministry we gotta understand that it is the power of god that works through us and for us unfortunately there are times when we experience the power of god in our lives and then we sit there and try to take all of god's credit for what he's done and consequently ten white gods sometimes have to sovereignly afflicts us so that we can learn how to depend on him sometime watch this church god will put you in places and in situations where there is no way out of it i mean you can't see your way out you can't feel your way out you can't think your way out and the only thing you can do is depend on god to bring you out now now hold up hold up i'm finished shout and i'm trying to stay calm cool reserved and relaxed but after all that god has done for you you ought to be shouting because you say when i went through what i went through i came out with a testimony saying i can't take the credit for all he has done in my life how dare you come to church week after week and don't move and don't say nothing don't wave your hand and don't give god no glory if god can keep you a year in a pandemic should nobody tell you to clap your hands should nobody tell you to leap on your leg you ought to be shouted cause it should have been the other way around you ought to be shouting it's because you didn't divide but god let you live through it i tell you to just look at somebody and holler right quick and say i didn't die by but i lived through it that's why i can't take the credit cause it keeps a roof over my head clothes on my back food on my table my family is in good health i got to shout excuse me give me six feet i got to give him glory because you don't know how down i was and god lifted me up you don't know how depressed i was and god stepped in in the nick of time is there anybody who can open up your mouth and say i can't take the credit i can't take it i i can't take it i i can't take it i i can't take it i can't take it i can't take it how he keeps me and keep my mind in perfect peak i cannot take the credit and so in exodus chapter 14 just just give me a few moments i promise i won't hold you we discovered that god has been mighty good to israel he chooses a shepherd boy by the name of moses he says moses i want you to lead the children of israel out of egyptian captivity and i'm going to show you a land that is flowing with milk and honey you you know the story if you read your bible what one day why moses is tending to his father-in-law's sheep the bible says while he's on the backside of the desert he saw a bush burning went over to investigate the bush and he heard a voice instructing him to take off your shoes because the ground you standing on ain't just any kind of ground it's holy ground ah y'all got to catch this child of god it was from that bush that the lord called him to go to pharaoh and he says when you get there i want you to tell pharaoh to let my people go moses is somewhat reluctant because he got a speech problem but god tells moses i'm going to make it so simple for you just tell pharaoh to let my people go huh moses says to god but if i go and tell mayor of pharaoh to let your people go he's gonna try to figure out who sent me he says i'm gonna make it plain for you just tell him that i am that i am send me y'all know the story the bible says that pharaoh ignores the commands of god and the bible said god afflicted him and his heart was hardened he wouldn't do that he wouldn't do what god instructed him to do so problem comes after problem look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor god know how to get your attention yeah you can be wonderful today and you'll be on nobody tomorrow god know how to get your attention god has a way of redirecting you god watch sins plagues after plagues and then pharaoh finally decides i better let god people go and you all know what the bible suggests that god allow moses to lead the children of israel some 2 million people through the wilderness by a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night ah i'm finished out and i really don't care who knows it and while following god the children of israel finds themselves in a terrible predicament let me park you for a moment and serve you notice if you think following god it's gonna be always sunny sunny something is wrong with you you're gonna have to suffer sometime you're gonna have to be light on some time somebody gonna have to walk out of your life somebody gonna have to turn their back on you look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor following god just don't get you in trouble but following god will get you out of it too so so so the text says they find themselves in a terrible predicament they find themselves at the red sea with mountains on both side of them pharaoh army is behind them and uh for at least 50 of y'all i'll make 51 and we'll shout over this one word and i believe this word is for each and every one of you tonight who are not ashamed nor afraid to receive this and give god praise i mean sometimes you just got to go crazy and give him all of the glory that he deserves and the same thing that god is telling moses tonight i believe he is speaking to everybody's spirit in this place now if we are on one accord i believe we'll shout right here this is your word i know it's been hard i know it's been rough i know mountains are on both sides of you i know heartache is on one side pain is on the other i know struggle is a one side strain is on the other and it look like your enemies are behind you and it looked like they're getting ready to cave in on you and then to make matters worse it looked like something is in front of you blocking you from your blessing but god says he go the word he gave the moses and i hope you're a shadow of it when i tell you this is what he told moses i know you got the mountains on both sides i know the red sea is in front of you and i know the enemy looks like he's getting ready to trample over you but this is what i want you to do moses i want you to stand still and see the salvation of the lord okay y'all don't know where to shout hold up i need you to look at somebody and tell them just stand still just watch god work it out watch god give you that promotion watch god bring you out watch god turn things around if you ever been there i need you to open up your mouth and shout like you're standing still right now i don't know when he's gonna do it i don't know how he's gonna do it i don't know where he's gonna do it but i just got a funny feeling that if i hold my peace the lord is gonna fight my battle and so watch what he says moses stand still he says i want you to stretch forth your rod he go to shout y'all when he stretches forth his rod bishop jacob god turns a sea into a sidewalk when when he stretched for his rod the tacks adjust and he walks on dry ground watch this and so when they walk across on dry ground pharaoh and his army was drowned in the sea stay there i'm coming to get you i'm shouting at night not cause i'm perfect do you handle life after god blesses you because when you was broke you spoke to us but now you gotta look money you won't even say hello y'all ain't saying that how do you handle life after god blesses you how long hold on hold on but how do you handle life after god uses you to be a blessing to somebody else what do you do when he gives you the house what do you do when he blesses you with the scholarship what what do you do after god gives you the promotion so i wanna i wanna share something tonight and i promise y'all i'm gonna holla at y'all thank you bishop for letting me come but but but if if we're gonna give god the credit we must first of all recognize the miraculous work of the lord watching verse 31 saw the great work of the lord which the lord did upon egypt watch this no notice what the text says they saw the great work which the lord did in egypt now if you look at this word saul in the hebrew it literally means to proceed to investigate or to deserve israel had to pause for a moment to look at what they just had made it out of and they recognized that this was the work of the lord hold on here go to question what if they saw what god did for them and if they recognize it was him who brought them out the question is what did they see in order to find out what israel investigate we have to go back to verse number 30. because verse 30 says that israel saw the egyptians watch this dead on the seashore this reveals to us tonight that sometime in order to recognize the work of the lord you got to look back and take inventory on your past blessings and you got to learn how to investigate on how god brought you out because when they investigated their past dilemma they recognized church that this was not the work of moses but this was the work of the man
