His Yard Sale Price Almost Knocked Me Down.

it's got all the things that go with it i never did put it out here yeah well i'd be happy to take a look if you're if you're looking to sell it [Music] what is up my people you guys already know it is yard sale morning 7 30 on a saturday in lexington kentucky the hit list today is pretty similar to what it normally is we're looking for video games first and foremost going to be asking around a little bit more for pokemon cards today because those have been really hot toys collectibles you guys know the drill we're going rick harrison's style pretty much anything we think we can make a buck on but today we're going out with a little bit of a twist in that i have a frisbee appointment at 11 o'clock this morning i haven't played ultimate frisbee in like like almost a year so i'm super stoked about it it is going to have to cut in a little bit to my yard sailing day but luckily there weren't all that many sales out today so the goal our mission impossible for the morning is going to be how many deals how many sales how much profit can we possibly fit into this next three hour time slot so come along with me guys and let's hit it [Music] y'all don't have any uh other video game stuff do you over here might be a few video games left okay we have a backwards compatible ps3 if you're interested okay where's that yeah it's upstairs i gotcha what were you guys asking on it um i mean i think we would all be happy to let it go what it is at a brand well i'll i'll call my friends see if anyone's interested on the other side of one yeah how much did you have on these shoes um let's see and what were you really thinking on the ps3 uh really on the ps3 at least a grand oh you were serious yeah oh wow okay is there something special about it it's backwards compatible okay there's like 1500 of them all right well i must uh must have been thinking of something else then yeah i thought they went on ebay for like like 100 or 150. backwards compatible ones yeah okay i've played ps2 mps one i gotcha well i won't try to talk you down on that one won't come down that far huh yep that that is all right i'll be happy with these shoes though thank you absolutely those are really nice shoes yeah and they're just my size so thank you thank you all right folks well first find of the day i got these uh docker's shoes here uh they're pretty much new as far as i can tell or at least close to new uh and they're my size so i probably actually will keep them i think they look pretty sharp uh so for five bucks that was a solid deal the guy wanted a thousand dollars for a backwards compatible ps3 i don't know what he was looking at but i'm gonna pull this up here just to give you guys an idea of what they're actually worth to know that i'm not crazy okay yeah so you guys can see here sold listings 150 220 with a controller 230 150 180 not even close to a thousand dollars i almost hit the floor when he when he quoted that price but anyway hopefully i'm gonna head to this um homeschool curriculum sale and hopefully have a little bit more luck there oh shoot it was all old junk people i'm striking out today and my glasses are foggy i can't even see it is not a good start [Music] hey there would you have on this guy uh two dollars two bucks all right uh and i found this this is like a video game figure did y'all have any other video game stuff so you probably probably know then all right first pick up of the day a new sealed watch your mouth uh two dollars paid for this should go for uh 12 after fees on amazon so not bad there and then this little guy was free i'm going to use that to bundle with an imaginators game and portal and when i do it should be worth like over 50 bucks so this one's not worth much on its own but nice to pick it up for free hmm hello what were you all asking on the games um i would say a dollar a piece but she went in the house well this is actually really nice to find i picked it up for a dollar wii sports it's worth around 20 right now but i'm actually going to use it to bundle with a system which i have sitting on my floor right now pretty nice shape you guys don't have any uh any other like video game stuff do you saw all of these tapes is it anything like that no i'm looking mostly for like old nintendo or like game boy or sony playstation that kind of stuff any idea well there was something we might have sold hell in just a second let me see okay well thank you sure i'm not sure exactly what what were you looking for now i was looking for like old nintendo or like playstation game boy xbox kind of stuff see i'm so ignorant about that kind of stuff okay i've got a wii oh yeah and it was my grandson's shirt it's got all the things that go with it i never did put it out here yeah well i'd it's all or at least almost all in here not sure if i see a sensor yeah it looks like everything's here did you have any idea what you wanted for it carol what did connor give you an idea um well it wouldn't hurt just real quick there yeah you might wait in just a second that's no that's just fine one eternity later what you could go on it was 50 50. okay yeah for everything this year because um yeah well honestly i don't think that's a bad price i think i could do that well hey thank you guys i appreciate that okay all right well that sale actually ended up turning out pretty well i was nervous when uh she led with that conversation when she had to go and call her uh daughter to see what the price was that she was gonna hit me with another ridiculous number the second one of the day like 200 or something like that that i wouldn't you know obviously be able to pay but i thought 50 bucks was pretty reasonable honestly i wasn't going to try to haggle her on it because there's a good amount of stuff there and also given that it's like still in the box and the original games were with it i think i should be able to make 200 or more on it so 50 was more than fair i honestly if she would have said up to maybe like 90 i probably would have paid it um but you guys saw that original nunchuck in there still new in the box was a pretty cool piece that had two wii motion plus remotes which have some value the extra games weren't worth almost anything but still really stoked about that pickup may end up being the best one of the day but we still have over an hour of sailing left to do so let's get after it does this thing uh have all the stuff with it do you know i think that one does okay it was a yard still fine i gotcha um and you're asking 25 on both i will take 25 before both okay you didn't have any other uh like video game related stuff did you it's kind of what i'm on the hunt for today like nintendo or playstation or game boy or anything we got a couple of uh i probably have some n64 games okay if you'd be interested in selling i'd be happy to shoot you an offer okay let me see if our gutter is laying around thanks yeah i love the retro stuff so cool the first time i came over here it didn't feel like part of lexington did you have any idea what you wanted for these i don't even really know what they're worth i'm sure well if i did uh 20 for those guys would you say like like 35 for throw these guys in that's probably fair all right i appreciate that you don't still have the system do you i wish i did are the three buttons worth anything i where it's at oh really i've got the whole system somewhere around here yeah well i could make you an offer on it if you found it but if it's if it's lost i get it well you're not going to offend me for the for the stack would 10 bucks be okay cool i'm being even 50. cool man i appreciate that hey man mind if i look at this bin is this going out the band oh yeah let me put that out here there is just some weird stuff in here that i have not been able any idea uh if this is working this calculator i think it just needs if it doesn't have batteries in it okay well it's got two okay yeah that's pretty typical well could we throw this guy in for a couple bucks yeah hey you guys have a good one well folks that was an amazing sale maybe the sale of the day i'm super glad i stopped i was this close to not even stopping because at first it didn't look like they had all that much of value it was kind of just all scattered looked like a lot of clothes and stuff but as i rolled up i didn't even bring my backpack to clip my gopro too because i didn't think i was going to find anything but right as i rolled up i see this nes classic in the box he said that he didn't know if it might be like a fabrication express some concerns about the quality i don't know if i share that hesitation or not you guys let me know if this looks legit to you but paid 10 bucks for it so you know not a whole lot of risk if i do end up sending it in i'm going to do some research and see how this is supposed to look it had the controllers and cords and everything it'll bring around a hundred dollars each of them will bring a hundred dollars on amazon so i figured that was worth the risk stoked about that pickup ended up paying five bucks for just like some n64 hookups here a like power cord as well as some av cables i can sell the power cord on amazon and get like 12 bucks so that was definitely worth it also picked up a genesis 3 button controller i just bought a few genesis systems so i figured why not then also offered him seven bucks a piece on these games some really solid ones to find for the 64. dk64 as well as goldeneye each of those are around 30 dollar games individually so i thought seven was you know i wasn't gonna lowball him on those then the last thing was this stack of playstation one games this this sale was like a nostalgia fest it was fantastic he kept bringing stuff out he said that somewhere he had a tin of pokemon cards that had all of his old rare ones in it but he didn't know where it was i was like ah dang it in this stack there's a lot of like worthless sports titles so i only offered 10 bucks for the stack we got like moto racer 2 madden 01. madden 02 uh destruction derby 2 i've never actually i'm not familiar with what that game might be worth we got wipeout three need for speed high stake sega dreamcast web browser i i'm almost sure that's worth nothing the only one that's complete is odd world here uh i don't know what that's worth either i'm worthless today uh crash bandicoot 2 and then in the zone 2000 so i'm going to look these up and let you guys know what the value is all right so it turns out for this stack not a lot of value odd world's worth like 10 crashes worth like four and then the rest of them will probably just be trade in but nonetheless really happy with that pick up there and i've got like 40 minutes left so we're gonna see if we can do any more damage you guys don't have any um like video game stuff for anything do you no we don't you don't have any uh like video game stuff do you i i do but i don't have them out yeah i'd be happy to take a look at whatever you have all you're not too far away take your number oh okay fine and follow you sure um they're not new they're not new new games but they are brand new if you know what i mean so like new like new old games like new condition yeah do you remember what system they were for was it like disc ones no idea that's all right but yeah i do live close and uh if you when i find the box it might be a few days okay let me all right so i've pretty much been driving around aimlessly in neighborhoods for the last like half an hour mostly because all of the marked sales that i knew where they were are on the other side of town and i didn't have time to get there so i was like well i'll just drive around a little bit and hopefully i'll run into some ran into two uh nothing at the first one and the second one actually she said that she had some video games that she described as new but not new so like new in package but like not recent games which i was like oh man that could be money she could not find them so i left my info with her maybe we'll be able to work something out later i did buy this box of like i don't even know like 20 travel toothpastes for three bucks so you know the price was right that that's what i love about yard sales you just never know what you're gonna buy but i'm gonna get all this stuff laid out in my trunk here and we can kind of assess how the day went all right folks so you'll have to excuse the messiness a little bit there sorry about that but got everything laid out i ended up spending a total of i think it was a hundred and sixteen dollars today um and this is everything that we managed to pick up i did look up these nes classics and it does look like uh they don't seem to be authentic they have mario bros and castlevania instead of metroid and zelda so i'm just gonna sell them and disclose all that on ebay i would guess probably still conservatively maybe 30 bucks a piece on those we got the wii fit board we've got the toothpaste let's go the biggest find of the day got this uh natalie cole unforgettable with a ps1 game inside i think that was like a pizza hut version and then all the ps1 games here we got these shoes for personal also priceless at five dollars um 12 game there a nine dollar game we've got maybe 25 or 30 bucks in those guys also i don't think i mentioned this this is a ti 83 plus that i picked up for two bucks because i wasn't able to test it but that should do well um got the wii uh fit here as well as a couple of n64 games and all this stuff i am excited to look this up and see what it goes for unfortunately it is bent here um but i think yeah it is like the original seal is still on there the like glue or whatever then we had all these games as well with wii i don't think there's really anything valuable there maybe jeep thrills probably not but this system here should bring at least 200 bucks and then i would say conservatively maybe 30 to 40 on this as well as a little bit of trade-in on those guys and maybe 30 for the wii fit with wii fit plus so yeah when all is said and done i spent 116 bucks i think i should make in the neighborhood of 400 in profit which for me is pretty solid for about four hours of garage saleing on a lovely saturday morning before frisbee so really happy with that roi especially since i didn't have to leave my hometown that's uh definitely more than i normally expect so thank you guys so much for watching my burning question of the day for you guys today is what has been your strangest yard
