- (sings) You believe that
beatbox is a woman. (beatboxes) - Welcome back, friends. It's me, Waluigi from Roomie Official. Hilarious joke, I know. So the other day, I made a video on the beatboxer Dharni. - (beatboxes) - He could do amazing
things with his voice, you know, that went way past
what I thought beatboxing was. I thought beatboxing
was basically, you know, (beatboxes) but better. In the comments, a lot of people suggested other beatboxers and
things I should check out, so that's what we're gonna be doing today. I'm really excited. I'm
mainly looking for people who are doing a lot singing
and a lot of beatboxing, like kind of like the in between, so I think that's really cool. Uh, but we'll probably look at some just, like, beatboxers as well. Lame, right? Just beatboxing? No. It's still cool, but I'm a singer. I like when they sing and do it. That's inspiring to me. (heavenly music) Okay so here we have beatboxer CODFISH. He's a big YouTuber actually. He's got 1.35 million subscribers, and this is his cover of
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams." - (beatboxes and sings)
I walk a lonely road, the only road that I have ever known. - Aw, that's awesome. - (beatboxes and sings) I
don't know where it goes, but it's only me and I
walk alone. (beatboxes) - It's so cool the way
where actually, like, how he kind of fills up that little thing in front of the teeth here with air, and that's how he does his
snare, with like the... (laughs) Me trying to do
impressions of this sucks. But yeah, I love that low, like (sings). I wanna learn that
actually, the vocal bass. To really be able to do that in songs would be epic. - (sings and beatboxes) I
walk alone, and I walk a... My shadow's the only one
that walks beside me. Until then I walk alone. - I love how he's got, like, this really mild British accent, like, (in a British accent, echoing)
I walk alone, I... (laughs) And then just this badass,
just beatboxing and the (sings) bass that I still can't
do, that I want to practice. I wanna learn that. - (sings and beatboxes)
I walk this empty street, on the boulevard of broken dreams. - That just sounds fake!
It sounds like an effect you would do with, like, manipulator that I looked at in the other video. But it's not. People
are doing it by, like, rustling their vocal chords like that. That's so crazy. - (sings and beatboxes) I
walk alone, and I walk alone. - That's so cool. Oh, and
it's on streaming platforms and stuff, that's awesome. What an epic start to an
epic video, ten out of ten. If there was something
that could be improved, like I don't want to
be that guy, but like, it would be the, like, the
actual singing aspect of it, maybe wasn't as expressive as the rest of the beatboxing stuff. Like, he could've done more
maybe with the singing. But anyway, it was so freaking cool. And here we have D-NICE,
Incredible Singing Beatbox. I'm excited. - Hey, this is D-NICE from the USA, and this is a massive
shout-out to Swissbeatbox. (sings and beatboxes)
When all is said and done, you believe that beatbox is a woman. And, feel it after mid...
that you can't fight. My... when all is said and done, you believe that beatbox is a woman. - She can sing, amazingly! Oh my god, those runs and stuff, and that beatbox skill. - (beatboxes) (sings) You believe that
beatbox is a woman, whoa. - Bruh! I'm still not even close to any of these beatboxers' level. From the beatbox I've seen, maybe some of her beatbox moves
weren't as strong as others, but she's got the most potential of any beatboxer I've seen so far, because her singing
skills are freaking high and amazing beatbox stuff. Like, think in, like, a couple years, she will be crazy. I wonder if it's a bad thing
to be a girl in beatboxing because maybe you don't have
as much bass you can do. But she got some proper bass in there. You see that, she also
had a thing going on where, like, her lower
lip kind of going out for some really low things. This is crazy! I wanna
learn so much stuff now! Look at that, that lower
lip thing she was doing, she's got some proper bass in that. - (beatboxes) - That! - (beatboxes) - It's like everything
are, like, vocal chords on their bodies. It's like, we got, like, this part as, like, a vocal chord, and the cheeks, and, freaking, probably in the nose and everything. Such an awesome community of just, like, very talented people doing great stuff. I can't believe I've,
like, never understood how cool it is. You know what I mean? Okay, so this was one of the main videos that were suggested to me in the comments that has a lot of singing
and a lot of beatbox. BIGMAN from South Korea. I assume he's a big man. If he's not a big man, I'm
gonna be very disappointed. - Yo this is BIGMAN from South Korea. - Hey, you're not that big. - (sings and beatboxes) Yeah! - That was so great! Oh, and a good meme song
as well. I loved it. Okay, so the guy we saw earlier that had the "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," apparently, he participated in this thing called the Grand Beatbox
Battle Champion, 2018. And he won, and this is a compilation of some of his performances on that. - (beatboxes) - That one guy in the
chair just looks like he's about to (censored)
himself all the time. - (beatboxes and sings) Whoa, Black Betty, whoa, Black Betty. Black Betty had a child,
the damn thing gone wild. Oh, Black Betty, I said oh, Black Betty. - It's so cool that there's so many people that are watching and stuff. The community is definitely bigger that I thought it was for
this beatboxing stuff. - (beatboxes) (beatboxes and sings) You
could do anything, except win. - (laughs) So they have kind of, like, a rap battle-type dynamic there, where they're kind of, like, trying to hit down on
each other a little bit. - (beatboxes) - There's something a little awkward about dancing to beatboxing. I don't know what it is,
but when people are like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah," like, do this, and someone's like (beatboxes). You know, it shouldn't be,
maybe it's just my brain. Let me know in the comments. I'm probably an idiot. Maybe
I'm just not used to it. - (sings and beatboxes) I
like the way you work it, no diggity, no diggity, no diggity. I gotta back it up, no
diggity, no diggity. No diggity. - He's definitely got
some Ed Sheeran to him. He's like, I guess it's
being British as well, but the tone of the "mmm"s and stuff it's very Ed Sheeran as well. - (beatboxes) - Oh my god! - (beatboxes) - Oh my god! I got shivers. Oh my god, that was crazy. Oh my god. You didn't think he was capable of doing something like that because he's tended to do, like, be, like, slower, like, pop music and stuff, and then suddenly, went
totally ape bonkers! - (beatboxes) - How do you even do that? - (beatboxes) - It's gotta be the lip roll thing. Oh. So this CODFISH guy... But yeah, he's got a YouTube channel. He's done some, like, very
YouTube-y stuff on there. I recommend you go subscribe to him. He's obviously super talented. But like, he does some, like, pretty, what you would call very YouTube-y stuff. Like, he will do "When a
Beatboxer Plays Fortnite." (laughs) I mean, he
doesn't upload very often. Last one, this, uh,
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" was three months ago,
and the Fortnite video was one year ago. But "When a Beatboxer Plays CS:Go," I mean, it gets crazy
views on them, so, like, obviously he's got an audience on here. But yeah, he's so talented. I'm in the UK, he's in the UK. Hey, CODFISH, hit me up.
Let's do something, fam. This was the channel that
was recommended to me a lot, this Swissbeatbox thing. And yeah, they're the people
who do the beatbox battles, and they have a lot of
stuff like "Top 10 Drops" that I thought we'd take a quick look at. - (beatboxes) - Oh my god, it's Dharni! Oh yeah, Dharni was in
the jury for one of these. Oh, 2019! So he was in the jury last year. That's awesome. (laughs)
He looks so happy. - (beatboxes) - (laughs) That guy just,
just like... (laughs) - (beatboxes) - So he's doing some kind
of, like, whistley-type tone, I guess, with his vocal chords, and he's doing, like, scratching
with his lips or something. The stuff they can do at the same time with different parts of the
lips and voice and stuff is so awesome. It's such an art, it's such a skill. How did I not find this before? Plus, I just love seeing
Dharni's reactions as well, because he's so amazing,
these guys are so amazing, and they're all just so
supportive of each other. - (beatboxes) - So sometimes I see
comments from you guys, when I react, like singers, you know, things that I really know a
bit more about than beatboxing, and the comments will be like, "Me: Wow! This is great singing. Joel: Ah, this was... had
some problem with that. Me: Totally, Joel, yes, that's how it is." And I can feel a little
bit like that with this because I'll hear something
with the beatboxing that I think sounds really amazing, and then like, it cuts to
this, and I see Dharni, and he's just kind of,
like, not really into it in the same way that
he is to other things. Then he's like, "Okay, it
wasn't that good." (laughs) - (beatboxes) - Oh my god. - (beatboxes) - That was some of the most hard-hitting beatboxing I've heard. That was... He had such focus on,
like, the low sounds, and just, I'm just in love with this now. It's so good. It's a little bit like... I feel so incredibly behind on it that it's a little bit
too much to take in. Is it worth it for me to
try to learn any of this? Because the stuff I'm
hearing is so far beyond my skill level that it'll take me, like, five years to get anywhere
close to anything like this. Even though I have, like,
some voice training and stuff. It's a totally different skill. And I'm a drummer, so, like, I'm voice-trained, I'm drummer-trained, you'd think that in the
middle of that is beatbox, but I can tell you right
now it's not, not at all. - (beatboxes) - How is he doing all those sounds? - (beatboxes) - Oh my god. So blown away. I don't know what to
say, this is such an art. You know, when you discover something that just, oh my god. (sad music) Man, I feel like I'm
about to cry or something. What's wrong with me? (laughs) Gotta get back into the video, Joel. - (beatboxes) - Man, CODFISH is just
amazing on stage too, I think. He chooses really good songs. Everyone to be like, arrr,
really go hard at and stuff. I've never wanted to be good at something this bad in a really long time. It's cool because a lot of these guys actually make tutorials on YouTube too. So they're like one of those communities where you learn from each other. Like, I think I saw NaPoM on there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and Dharni. Inward lip roll bass from Dharni, okay. - Yo, guys, today I'm gonna teach you the easiest way how to learn
the inward lip roll bass, also known as the sub-bass.
It's really simple. - (laughs) "It's really simple." Dharni's such a meme, he
always says it's simple. Come on, man. - So I have a sad expression, and try to yawn at the same time, but not opening your mouth. So it goes like this. - (sucks in air) - And I just let some air through in between my lips here, on the corner. - (sucks in air and laughs) - The air coming through my
mouth, really thin and tight. And I tried to maintain
that fast vibration. (buzzes lips) - (buzzes lips badly
and laughs) I'm garbage! - And if you want to go lower pitch, I gotta drop my jaw. (buzzes lips) Okay? - (buzzes lips badly and laughs) - And I want you to do the kick backwards. And then, have the sad
expression. (buzzes lips) - (sucks in air and laughs) I just sound like I'm
making out with someone. - Once you find that sensation, try to emphasize the
sensation. (buzzes lips) - These are sounds I thought
were only possible with synths. - So, this is how we do it. I wish you good luck, and
I see you guys next time. Peace out. - Oh my god, I love Dharni so much. Okay guys, here's other
music reaction videos. Here's videos where I sing and make music. I hope you guys enjoyed this little look into beatboxing. I was totally blown away. Taking this in with you
guys was super interesting. I hope a lot of you guys are interested in getting into beatboxing as well. And I will see you tomorrow
with another video. Bye.
