pleasure everything changes everything changes and it's in these moments where our capacity is increased everything in the flesh wants to move on but jesus is standing right here so there's just no nowhere to go nowhere to go nowhere to go and oh what he could do in you if you just stay here with him just forget about everything right now forget about your schedule and the time and your body if your body's tired i feel you mine is too offer it to the lord it's a wonderful sacrifice that's what paul said offer your bodies offer your bodies to the lord jesus we love your presence we love you we love you we love you wonderful king of glory come upon everyone in the room tonight in your tangible wonderful present would you take about the next minute and just sing in the spirit yeah right our hearts to who your heart is committed to father your precious son the son of your love as your word calls it and we love the son of your love father and we realize tonight that without the holy spirit this is impossible and so holy spirit begin to blow like a mighty wind upon our hearts tonight begin to blow upon broken lives the hungry have come from all over fill them fill them holy spirit you're ashamed of your secret life i venture to say possibly jesus has never been more real to you than in this moment tonight he stands in this room inviting you to himself i don't need to preach a sermon to you but he's right here and while i'm speaking in your heart you know you need to get down here and get right with jesus do it right now don't wait a second don't you wait a second if you've drifted from the lord if you're not burning in love with jesus get up here if you've never fully yielded your life to jesus get up here i'm telling you right now moments like this are once in a lifetime i'm inviting you to come to it jesus who's in the room tonight he's right here it's not our preaching it's his presence it's his presence you know who you are come down and give your life to this beautiful king maybe you say i've done this before but are you living for him are you free from sin are you living in righteousness and the light of his beauty you see how easy it is you see how easy it is for people to come to jesus when the lord's in the room come on don't wait a second don't wait a second come come and yield come give everything everything i mean every square inch of your being give him your past i want you to give him your dreams tonight come and fully fully surrender to the lord jesus christ you can leave you can leave tonight free from shame free from that guilt you know why you're shameful right now do you know why you feel guilty because you're in the presence of the holy king the bible says his two eyes are his eyes are too pure than to even behold iniquity than to look upon our sin but tonight can be the last night where you are in a meeting like this wondering if you'll ever be free from your porn from your addictions from your anger from the mixture in your life from a life that's spent seeking your own will you can be free from all of that you can come and be completely free tonight look at all the people yielding their lives to the lord this is wonderful this is what his presence does [Applause] those of you look look look if you just close your eyes right now which i would invite all of you to do rather than watch what's going on oh man i am getting touched by the lord thank you jesus i haven't had this happen to me in so long and i love every minute of it listen to me jesus is only coming back for a bride that's burning in love with him burning first love is the only love he knows it's the only love that makes sense so if you're in the room tonight and the the flame has gone out if you could help me with that child right now just for a second please thank you so much if you're in the room and that that that flame has gone out that flame that used to keep you up at night just wanting to be with the lord wanting to know him more it's been replaced by even christian ministry things maybe it's been replaced by your job maybe it's been replaced by your uh your dreams i want you to come down as well tonight i'm telling you come to the fire tonight you will leave burning you come yield your life right here tonight come to the one who is a burning fire god bless you and the lord the lord will set you on fire tonight not fervor not mere excitement there's nothing wrong with that what i'm talking about is much holier than that i'm talking about an internal lamp the bible says is the lamp of the lord listen to this that's what he said is the candle of the lord is the heart of man not the candle of the lord we have room right here right here in the middle for anybody who wants to come this is wonderful this is wonderful i want us all to stand in honor of what's going on right now everyone in the room stand if you're able and if you have no no unless you've come forward maybe you're unable to stand due to sickness try to stand by faith and receive your miracle tonight for all of you who come forward i'm telling you i i just feel the ease of the holy spirit this is wonderful you didn't get yelled to the altar it wasn't by man's wisdom tonight this is the work of the spirit would you all look at me tonight you're going to give your life over the lord will receive it are you ready to give all to jesus yes i just need a head nod i need a head nod from all of you please jesus said to count the cost he said if a man begins to build a tower and doesn't count the cost doesn't realize the cost never finishes the tower it actually brings shame but tonight you're counting the cost you say michael what is the cost everything everything are you willing to give everything to jesus tonight i mean everything i i need to know because the last thing i want to do is lead you through a prayer that's just not filled with life can i get a head nod from everyone who's come forward do you want to give all to jesus tonight yes okay i want us to pray out loud i want everyone in their seats to stretch their hands towards these precious souls wonderful souls that jesus died for for those of you who've come forward i just want you to lift your hands to the lord right here in his holy presence as you lift your hands to the lord you're lifting them because you're offering your life as a sacrifice now i want to pray with you and i want you to just do your best to mean it from the depths of your souls are you ready say this out loud i want the whole house to pray this out loud with clarity heavenly father i have sinned against you forgive my sin wash me with the blood of jesus i am sorry for my sin i am sorry for my distraction i am sorry for looking elsewhere [Music] wash me in the blood of jesus cleanse my soul set me free jesus i believe that you are the son of the living god that you came to the earth born of the virgin and lived a perfect and holy life i believe you died my death you took the penalty i deserved and i believe you died on that cross and shed your precious blood to set me free i believe that you were buried to take my death and to destroy the devil and jesus i believe that three days later you were gloriously raised from the dead can we say that one again three days later you were gloriously raised from the dead and tonight you are alive and you are alive forevermore you are the son of god you are god almighty you are life itself and jesus i believe that you ascended to the right hand of the father and that you are ruling and reigning as king of kings and lord of lords jesus i believe that you are returning again to judge the living and the dead and establish your eternal kingdom so tonight lord jesus i repent of my sin i turn from my sin i turn from the devil himself i turn from my own ways and the system of this world and i place my trust in you and you alone you are the king of my life the lord of my life the savior of my soul all my trust is in you [Music] hallelujah jesus i confess you as king of kings lord of lords god almighty i am born again i belong to you [Music] your precious bride that's who i am in jesus name amen i want you to give the lord praise [Applause] [Music] wow this is so wonderful for those of you who've come forward would you look at me for a moment jesus said my yoke is easy my burden is light it'll cost you everything to walk with him but there's nothing easier than fellowshipping with jesus it's who you are now and he lives inside of you and he's never leaving oh man if you had any idea who's living inside you now you'd be all very excited but you'll know each day you'll discover who he is more and more there's a few things that you need to do daily to walk in the fiery love of the holy spirit one be with the lord every day in private love on him talk to him let him talk to you that's called prayer every day say every day number two read your bible every day do not let a day go by where you do not give your heart to the holy scriptures not a day it is true food people are already being filled with the spirit the holy spirit just falling upon people right now this is awesome i said this is awesome this is awesome give your heart to this to the word of the lord and learn as you're praying to read the scriptures and you'll have questions but give those questions to god while you're reading and the most beautiful intimacy will be birthed you'll begin to feast on the word jesus called the words of god our very life he said man doesn't live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of god your bible is filled with the life of god that's wonderful this little man got it and typically the children pick up on the best statements good for you good for you good for you i love that number three number three be baptized in water we'll do that here in just a few weeks we'll baptize you we'd love to do that this is not mere religious tradition for some reason we've called it a outward expression of an inward decision true true but it's much deeper than that much deeper those waters are charged with the presence and power of the holy spirit they literally sever you from your old life this world in the old man and you break forth from the waters remember the waters were blessed in genesis 1 because the spirit hovered above them whatever he touches is blessed eternally you break forth from those waters into newness into a cleansed conscience into complete freedom and i believe many of you will receive the gift of the spirit and the power of the spirit when you go in and out of those waters amen number four you need to give your heart to a people as well in god's presence that is called church we would love to have you here it would be an honor to serve you here but if you're plugged into another church be faithful there don't just attend actually be faithful give your heart become vulnerable become transparent be pliable and moldable let people lead you and walk with you this is a beautiful privilege of the church that we don't have to do this alone lastly and then from the looks of some of you it looks like the lord has beaten me to this one already he's beat me to the punch jesus said you shall receive power after that the holy spirit has come upon you and you will be witnesses unto me jesus never said we would merely witness he said you will become a witness your life will express that he is alive do you want that tonight for those of you who come forward and by the way that's a promise a continual promise for the entire church paul said be ye filled it's a constant continual filling so tonight you say what do i need to do what do i need to do to receive the power of the spirit well you just need to receive like a child you don't need to work anymore you receive the spirit's power because of the work of jesus not your own work so right now right where you are i just want you to close your eyes i want everyone in the house to stretch their hands i'd like our team on these two front rows right here these two front rows to come out i want you to just get a hand on them just get a hand on them i don't want anybody anybody alone right now nico you jump out too come out there nico thank you lord haley won't you come come help us just find a shoulder that needs a hand now all of us praying right now i want us to come into agreement ready stretch your hands towards these people holy spirit this is your great pleasure father this is your great promise the promise of the father the gift of the spirit jesus you are the baptizer so right now in jesus name we just thank you for clothing these precious souls in the power of the holy spirit now come holy spirit i feel the fire of god already come holy spirit and fill them touch them empower them to be witnesses empower them to heal the sick empower them to be bold preachers of the gospel empower them to know your word empower them to live in victory empower them lord to hear from you and release the word of the lord in the name of jesus come on church just pray in the spirit of it out there in the name of jesus be filled and empowered with the holy spirit in jesus name in jesus name jesus name in jesus name thank you lord can we give the lord praise come on dion would you come you may stand up if you've come forward please stand if outside that door jesus didn't say go and preach and make converts he said make disciples that is our mandate that's what we want to do and do it faithfully with you that's going to require that we we certain way what he's wanting to do it's something i actually asked for when i started because i didn't know what he wanted to do i said could you just work with me lord and he said yeah after you step out in faith for a long time i'll start doing that i need you to not know what you're doing for a little while and just be faithful but i feel him very very very strongly tonight so who knows what will happen i just know it's going to be good i said i just know it's going to be good really good you don't need the teaching we're in god's presence jesus people give you don't believe that read john 3 16 for god so loved the world that he gave jesus is much more value valuable than our money therefore god set the standard very high if he would give his son we gladly give him what he's given us and so the bible commands us to bring our first fruits to bring our possessions to the house of the lord if you're watching online i just want our church family here to show you some love can at a church in columbus ohio last sunday by the way it's good to be back my father-in-law tore it up it looked like it was a powerful powerful sunday night and jesse laid this smackdown sunday morning and uh it's just good to be home but the church up there said i mean we kind of feel like we're jesus image columbus because we just watch every week and it was so moving they're a new church there were about 110 people in the room and it was a joy to go serve them but to see how the lord has been touching them through the online services is just so humbling and so i want i want us all to come to the lord with grateful hearts tonight and give and if you're watching online and this ministry has blessed you we want to invite you to give as well let's pray come on father we thank you for can boat but this i can tell you your kids are gonna become charged with the power of the holy spirit the presence of god will be moving the word of god will be taught and we are surrounding ryan and carla with a team of of of some of our most qualified jesus loving students so if what are the ages 12 to 18. how many of you know those ages need jesus get them in the room okay we will begin september 1st our first youth night will be september 1st at harvest time international which is right there there's the address wednesday nights i may slide in from time to time and harass them you she was weeping in morning service which i love having an operations director that weeps in the presence of god that's the kind of people you want to hire and uh i walked up to her she was crying i buddy austin get in here if you don't mind and for those of you who are wondering what this is these are the renderings of our new building yeah and um we close tomorrow on 10 acres of land off of lake mary boulevard which is wonderful thank you jesus thank you lord and i don't know where you're at austin he's come up here with your onesie where are you on come on so i want us all to thank god for austin he has been working on this for a year for one year seven minutes so wonderful and um he's been working on this consistently for a year and before that trying to find this space and as you know we've kept you in the loop um let's show them some other pictures and then we'll get to it so wait wait wait wait wait don't don't do it let me let me oh yeah i have a laser pointer i've always wanted to do this and especially now that i'm back in seminary this makes me feel really official so uh that is the tower we're not sure if a bell will be in there we don't want to keep people up but this is the sanctuary building that is the back of the sanctuary to stained glass of the holy spirit falling upon the room this is the entryway here that is a pickup truck because we are holy people this side of the building all of these will be admin offices staff offices down here you're going to have children's church and i'll show you in just a moment on a few slides right over here are the jesus school first and second year rooms i should say are it's just a beautiful beautiful beautiful building that will be built as you can see it's going to be very cathedral-like very old world i want people to fall in love with church again i want them to feel like they're leaving this crazy world when they pull on the property and step into the presence of the lord can we go to the next one please that's the entry oh i love this thing look all right this will be stained glass we're working on the imagery but all of this is very old world stone it's going to be a very timeless building that we believe our children's children's children will be experiencing the presence of god and we go to the next one please there's another look at the building there is the lord's face but notice you don't see the name jesus image on the building that is by design we are not here to promote our ministry but to promote the lord himself say amen so this is the front end this this side here is all sanctuary and uh these right here are azaleas because of the masters in augusta national and uh you know you throw a little augusta look in there and it just becomes more and more heavenly this archway is really beautiful can we go to the next slide i'll go back to the next the other one prior please if you don't mind so right here if you can see it more clearly on the center screen right here is the scripture that changed my life and really birthed jesus image there you go one thing is needed only one thing is needed luke 10 38 so every time you walk into church you'll be reminded only one thing is needed which is to sit at his feet and love him amen okay next please this is what it will look like when you come in um from the from lake mary boulevard you'll come in hang a right and you'll come in this way this right here is a glorified retention area that we're going to make so nice we'll probably be baptizing you in there yeah i'm serious and then this stained glass is a massive stained glass that will be behind the platform so imagine you're preaching there'll be a massive stained glass picture of the lord really beautiful you see these these are also stained glass as well and they'll be lining the sides of the building let me use this thing here there you go all right see that dot follow the dot follow the dot there it is so we'll have stained glass lining the sides of the room as well telling the story of the gospel it's going to be beautiful next all right this is the back of the building this is just rear entry here next and that's the front there's be with the lord let me say this the reason this is so important to me and to us is because my life was changed at orlando christian center here in 1989 and i have personally been changed on the property of really three ministries number one orlando christian center where my father-in-law was pastoring number two uh it's called canaan in the desert the ministry of the sisters of mary who are led by the their evangelical charismatic nuns who've given their life to intimacy with jesus i was radically transformed when i came on to the property god can charge a property with his glory and lastly i was eternally changed when i went to reading as well and discovered the beauty of god's presence there at bethel and so i'm believing that these 10 acres we're going to have to use every square inch this this sanctuary we'll see 1500 and um can we go to the next the next slide as well if there is one maybe we can show some of the blueprints all right so this is lake mary boulevard this one right here is sanford airport so if you're wondering where it is it's right by the airport over here would be downtown lake mary in this direction there you go thank you and then you would come in enter this way can we zoom in on the sanctuary guys i hope you're getting excited if not i'm going to jump on some of you all right this has been a long road all right here's the platform here's the seating it'll feel a lot like this a lot of people but intimate i don't want to lose the intimacy aspect of of of just the feel that god has given us here is a gathering area so you'd enter here that's where it says only one thing is needed you come through these doors you drop your kids off can we zoom out a little bit there you go you drop your kids off right in here can we zoom out a little more okay these these will be those multi-purpose rooms where we can do second year and third year school first year is large so we're going to need to use the main sanctuary um and and yeah so we've got parking here but we are leaving the natural setting and the grass will be golf course grass austin so so i can hit seven irons across the property while i'm praying for you of course all right and that uh austin we closed when oh oh this is the coolest part all right i'm sorry zoom in real big right right there guys my dot is better than your arrow all right this cross-shaped building here this will actually be a building this will be a little peninsula that comes out onto the pond and this cross-shaped building will be the prayer house that is literally in the middle of the pond surrounded by windows so that when you pray you will see greenery and beauty we were really touched and inspired when we moved to reading and oh how many mornings and nights i spent there in the prayer house and the the prayer house is called the bethany house of prayer and where mary poured her oil on the lord and that will be a 24 7 prayer house where you can come and be with the lord let me say this firstly this is the lord's building but it is also yours and my prayer is that your children's children would fall in love with jesus here my prayer is that people who are suffering would be set free from the powers of the devil before they ever get into the room into the building and that god would fill them with a true love for jesus so we close as we start closing thank the lord tomorrow morning 8 30. 8 30. we start closing tomorrow okay we start closing tomorrow and um what do they need to be praying for so we have two more uh town hall meetings with the city of sanford one this month one in september there are formalities but nonetheless need to happen so we just say in prayer for those yeah so pray for favor for those meetings would you guys do that and when's the first one we don't really have a date yet alternatively 23rd of august okay and uh then once we get over those hurdles then we start permitting and building we could break ground november november and we're looking out for fast pace fast-paced november and then after without making promises i know it's it's a super 16 months 16 months then we could have that thing up and ready to rumble and filling in oh i can't wait i can't i can't wait so yeah this is exciting our setup and teardown crew is going to be really happy about this and um they're they're creating the interior renderings now the 3d cad for the interior will be done september okay september so in september we'll show you what the inside will look like these are major major projects god is going to bring in every dollar debt-free debt free come on say amen every dollar debt-free i know i could stare at this i do i just look at these drawings for all throughout the day on flights oh are you excited can we give the lord praise property in the land and i have faith for the money because it's god's idea nobody in their right mind would try to do something like that because they're bored i promise you we all have easier things to try to accomplish and what the lord is is good all right you can all see me you see the gray patch on my beard if you can you can see me all right all right let's just pray one more time father i pray for wisdom and grace and open humble hearts mine included i pray that you would speak and speak clearly we want to be lonely humble servants of jesus because that's who he is so we posture ourselves in humility tonight to receive your word in the name of jesus amen amen say amen oh this one's better it's a good share nino thank you buddy all right um we do have a friend here haley would you stand up please this is hayley braun from bethel and ready she has been a pastor on staff at bethel for a long time and she's a dear friend and we love you so much and it's an honor to have you here such a joy let her know you love her would you do that thank you for being here haley she's a lover of jesus and one of my favorite people out there and there are a bunch of them every oh every school year is different at jesus school and each school year carries a breakthrough that's specific and it's beautiful and each school year as ryan and jenna will tell you presents its own set of challenges i typically don't do this on a sunday night sunday night is typically the power of god flowing the gospel being declared which happened tonight the power of god is flowing and signs wanders miracles and the move of the spirit but tonight i feel like as a pastor that i need to speak into what god is doing here and hopefully articulate what the value system is here so that you can know the method behind what god is doing bill told me something years ago he said it takes wisdom to receive a revelation it's a spirit of wisdom at work and it requires wisdom to articulate what is of the spirit because sometimes we feel and know things that are impossible without the spirit to articulate in human terms does that make sense to you so something i discovered really between the first year i should say the second year of jesus school and the third was the power of declaring what we do really well here and what we never do here for some of you tonight this might feel like a spanking well it's not my intention unless it's the lord's the bible actually teaches that he chastens those that he loves this is a wonderful thing anytime the lord prunes or corrects us it's to bring us deeper into intimacy this is not a word of correction this is simply a word of who we are and who we are not and if we've ever become what i'm saying we are not i give you full permission to hit me in the head with a two-iron okay no scott says that won't happen okay good do not hit me bad scott's like please don't say that in the charismatic world you can't say those things if you hit me with a two iron i will hit you back harder i promise you you don't wanna i'm probably the one preacher you don't want to bum rush because we will have a good old time right jazz now a pastor loves write this down if you're taking notes or typing a pastor leads and i know many of you heard this this morning it will come out differently it needs to happen tonight as well a pastor loves a pastor leads a pastor feeds and lastly a pastor protects it is the protective aspect that is the greatest challenge at least in our world because our dna is to worship the lord and the tender beauty of jesus and his presence however jesus talked about the difference between faithful shepherds and hirelings so he does address this danny silk would say it like this and i think it's so beautiful he would say we're one of three types of people as sheep we are either protectors we are either prey or predators when it comes to the flock you are one of those types of people you are either taking advantage of the flock or you are being taken advantage of or you are protecting the flock it is not merely the pastor's job to protect the flock the moment god begins to move and touch our hearts and this chair is something else all right the moment god begins to touch our hearts heal our marriages touch our children set us on fire awaken our hearts to the scriptures in an environment and literally in some cases save our lives we should all in some ways take ownership of what has blessed us when we begin protecting what has touched us something beautiful is set in motion something very holy so the sheep actually protect as well and typically sheep protect by hurting and running from evil if a sheep is left alone the sheep becomes vulnerable and so the sheep's true protection is to herd and become one unit and run from evil as the scripture says does this make sense to you i want to talk to you about oh nino do you know how mad ryan will get if this one doesn't work you better confess before communion i'm a seasoned veteran all right so let's talk about who we are here who jesus has made us to be what we value what we do and what we never do first slide this is the first time and maybe one of the last times you'll ever see me use slides presence above crowds presence above cross his presence above numbers this is very important if we're going to plan at jesus image as a leadership team we plan for his arrival and him staying you say what else we we plan other stuff we do it well but we don't major on it this place is clean i think we have the best media team on planet earth i love our worship team i don't want anybody else i love who god has given us i love the flow of the meetings i love the look of it all i love everything that's going on here i'm not saying we've got it all but i love it however in that back room as i tell you many sunday nights we're not going through a flow chart back there but there are tears in the carpet as this leadership team is praying for an hour prior and an hour before sunday morning service every single service they are in god's presence so you wonder why there's really no build up when they come on the platform it's because of that if we're going to plan and strategize we're going to plan his arrival and the scriptures teach us how secondly if we're going to rather than i should say focusing on how to draw crowds we want to draw him and there is a way all you have to do is read the word and submit to what the word teaches and jesus will come he has promised if two or three gather together in my name i am there even in the midst of them there is a way to gather in his name and there is a way to not gather in his name as beautiful as the gorgeous church building that the lord is giving us is if we don't gather in the name of jesus conscientiously through a yielded will the promise of his presence does not belong to us i love the steeple look don't get me wrong i think it's beautiful but the steeple does not ensure god's manifest presence god can fill a warehouse if those people are hungry in there and bypass the most beautiful building in the world do you understand if we're going to value presence above crowds we have to prioritize his desires above peoples and this is where the road becomes slippery because we begin to justify making people our preeminent focus and typically it's not to set the people free to be honest with you it's just to get them in the seat so i feel better about my ministry that's really the truth and sometimes these crowds they feed something in us that demands the crowd because without the crowd i don't feel successful that is a horrible way to live the christian life and it is a machine in the church that i'm just not going to let happen here i'm just not i've gone that route i know a lot of people who have i love them i bless them anytime somebody is saved paul said even look christ is preached by some for selfish gain and christ is preached by others because they love him or authentic in the heart he said i just rejoice that christ has preached however here at jesus image god has given us a clear mandate we are going to prioritize his presence above the desires of people knowing that when they come into his presence what they really need is found all right when you prioritize his presence above crowds you let the spirit move and so the holy spirit will always move here i don't ever want to become too professional for the challenging aspects of the holy spirit for the challenging manifestations of the spirit that are actually biblical the prophet said i felt fire shut up in my bones again the prophetic scriptures say i heard my bones rattle within me ezekiel said i was lifted by the locks of my hair and went into a vision and saw visions of god so if people say we have to stay biblical my response would be we haven't even gotten close to the biblical standard yet that's just an excuse to quench the spirit when you prioritize his presence above the desires of people here's the problem in a room like this you could have a thousand different desires whose do you follow someone longer services someone shorter some love the music some hate it some want the hymns someone want the modern stuff some want you to teach more word some want you to lay hands on more people you can make people happy and jesus never reacted to the mandates and desires of the people he said i don't do anything i don't see my father do i don't say anything i don't hear my father say this is the standard of our pastor and great shepherd jesus himself so that's the standard here presence above crowds number two presence above marketing this one will cost you something but if you realize you can't have a church without his presence well then uh you'll pay any price you have to pay i said this morning i love bill's quote he'll give you the measure of his presence you're willing to die for to protect well what he's doing here is very sacred and i'm not going to trade it for savvy marketing i'm not saying by the way if you're here you're a pastor and i also want to this is very important that i i say this my heart is not to project what we do here on you it is not to judge you it is not to look down upon you and say you're not doing it the right way i'm sharing this with a church family and i just feel like i need to reiterate who we are here what god has called us to be one of the things that you'll notice at jesus image that we never market are guest speakers and that is by design it is not to say if you do that that you are sinner and wrong no no no we value you joy dawson told me years ago if you want to walk in honor honor what is of god in every person i can find something to honor and i haven't arrived our church hasn't arrived we have a lot to learn but i'm only expressing how the holy spirit guided me as a pastor to begin here the reason we do not market speakers and famous worship leaders is because if i have to do that to get you in the room i will have to do that forever to keep you in the room and that is a runaway train it is not sustainable it is not part of the culture of most mainline denominations who have been around for longer than 1700 years most of the reformed protestant denominations that we all come out of are 500 years old that is young in comparison to the body of christ growing up as i did in the orthodox church we didn't care who was officiating as a priest we just wanted to be uh in god's presence that was the goal the presence of god and so there's sustainability there are is every denomination perfect no is every stream perfect no is our stream perfect no but there is something beautiful about longevity it speaks you understand in athletics what makes the greats great is that they didn't not just had a good year but they were great for a long time and this the same applies in the kingdom we want to finish more in love with jesus than when we began and part of that sustainability is making it all about jesus and that has to be more than just a statement that's trendy and good marketing making it all about jesus means saying yes to one thing listen carefully and no to about a hundred you have to learn how to say no to things your yes will set you up for a hundred different no's now the church does mention metric growth in the scriptures but it doesn't major on it the book of revelation doesn't major on specific numbers however it does major on the bride the glory of jesus the revelation of jesus christ purity and loyalty to the bridegroom when they asked the lord jesus what is the first and great command he did not hesitate for a moment he said the first and great command is to love the lord your god with all your heart soul mind and strength so if you're wondering what pleases god the most it's exactly what jesus said to achieve this level of love as first love which is first love i should say requires all of our attention this is the question the holy spirit asked me three weeks ago michael how much of your attention is required to steward my manifest presence the answer is all all that actually has to flush out and put flesh and bone on as a staff as a leadership team and as a church family that has to be expressed through daily decisions so if i have to market and advertise people as a local church to get you here what happens when i run out of your favorite speakers in five years what are we left with you understand now we have in my opinion god's dearest friends coming through this pulpit i just don't tell you when they're coming so that you don't come in the name of stephanie gretzinger or benny hinn it's so that you come in the name of jesus and let me tell you when jesus comes in the room regardless of who's preaching he makes them all superheroes he makes us all a lot better than we really are on our own next origin origin how we begin determines our dna as a church if i begin a certain way i must sustain it the same way and by the way that is my handwriting and it is super biblical doesn't it just look like a scribe a charismatic holy scribe of course how we begin the bible says regarding john's introduction listen to john's introduction this is how the scriptures introduced john john a man sent by god john the baptist that's a pretty good one this is john you ready for his resume he's sent by god elijah this is elijah's introduction a tishbite from gilead in other words tish is from the high places right gilead speaks of worship he's from the high places of worship origin is everything let me talk about the origin of this house we started at saint andrews expecting about 70 people to come i actually told our team we are not going to market beyond one post let's just let people know where we're meeting our post said this we will meet on september 16th which is my birthday that was by accident as well the lord is good we will meet at on september 16th on my birthday at a church called saint andrews where golf began i might add and the post said we will worship him he will come and that will be enough period that was the entirety of the post i was expecting 70 i told austin don't use the main sanctuary nobody's going to come he goes i don't know dude i we might want to get something liberation no no no no just give me this side fellowship paul he goes i don't think that's a good idea so i listened to austin and 400 people showed up we worshiped him and he did come and he's been here every sunday since by his mercy and grace if we started that way we must remain that way origin is everything how you begin is vital and i want you to know the dna of the house that you're sitting in today we started in his glory and i just want to say to all of our leaders our faithful friends our staff our our presence group pastors our students we have a mandate to not only stay in his glory but to see an increase of his glory if we are going to hear well done my good and faithful servant we can't just stay the only way listen carefully the only way to keep what you have according to the mark chapter 4 is to go after more that's the way of the kingdom the only way to keep what god has given you is to go after more of god this is what the scriptures teach next the anointing and preparation this is very important of the house who we are as a church family and specifically myself and our teams i have a very scheduled intense preparation time before i preach i don't talk to many people i don't text a lot i don't do anything i i am with the lord my morning prior to sunday morning service starts it before the sun is up i'm waiting on the lord and in the scriptures i also prepare on saturdays and throughout the week the reason i'm sharing this is because if i'm going to do that on a sunday morning and be here anointed on a sunday night ready for god to move i just can't do a ton of other stuff with everything in me i would love to hear everyone's story i'm just being as transparent and vulnerable as i can i know that many people wait at the door and shake hands and i think it's wonderful i personally cannot prepare for two hours prior to each service and do a million things in between and still be physically strong enough to to run a ministry to see people get breakthrough here people don't come to sunday nights or to sunday mornings to just receive an encouraging series i'm not saying there's anything wrong with that what i'm saying is people come to jesus image because a lot of times they are suffering or dying or their their marriage is collapsing or they're suicidal i mean these are major issues and i understand the weight of that and i love i want you to know this i so love you that i have never taken this pulpit just will tell you god is my witness i have never taken this pulpit without being with jesus never once i have never taken the school pulpit and i i teach for hours on tuesdays or wednesdays i have never even taught in this school without spending hours with the lord i mean that day so if you look at a sunday if my day starts at 5 or 5 30 and i'm praying i have to get ready get straight to sunday morning preach my guts out as you can tell my my style of ministry is not the easiest on the body we go full throttle and leave it all in the field and and then i i i go home i establish our prayer teams so that they can minister to you i have to eat something i eat i take a one hour nap so that i can be strong on sunday nights and then i have to get ready and pray again and you might say why do you have to pray don't you have faith i was taught to be with jesus before i talked about jesus that's what jesse's dad taught me he said don't you dare lean on a gift before you've been in his presence that's how my spiritual father taught me to minister and that i have to keep it i cannot go another direction i don't know how so that being said the anointing requires preparation and i just really appreciate your grace the other challenge is in a charismatic environment which we are unapologetically you would be shocked how many people don't just want to shake your hand the dreams and the visions and then they want an interpretation and at some point like 20 minutes in my brain is numb and i'm going oh my god i'm never going to survive this i don't know the interpretation god gave it to you the other option is to keep a security guard next to me shake your hand look like i'm genuine to keep you in the church shake your hand and go thanks for coming hopefully this keeps you here and then signal to security guard to get you out i'm just being real that's not real to me if i'm going to shake your hand i want to connect with you and love you not just keep you in the seats that's part of church growth culture that i really disdain is to do stuff that's not flowing from a genuine heart i just can't do it i know some people have brought it up but i'm not going to do something that's not truthful in my heart so that you'll like me enough to stay but i do love you very much i love you enough listen carefully i love you enough to give you the unadulterated unapologetic word of life and i will do that to the best of my ability until the day the lord takes me home okay all right let's thank you let's keep it moving here honor we honor here honor is measurable honor looks like something honor is costly we honor god number one number two we honor each other why do we honor each other as i said before because we honor what is of god in every person and each person here is made in the image and likeness of god you are worthy of honor we honor each other as a church family we also honor the family's structure jesus image honors the family i mean your actual family your immediate family i i would be heartbroken if the schedule i created here at jesus image ever impacted our team's marriages in a negative way that would crush me we honor parenting our children children deserve our best not our crumbs and when you don't give children your time and undivided attention in the name of the lord it's not in the name of the lord it's it's actually in the name of the ministry that's becoming a monster when you do that the children they don't internalize it that way they go jesus doesn't like family when jesus came to birth a family came to pay for a family and came to show us real family amen we honor other churches here this is important here now listen to me we honor other churches we honor churches who don't do things the way we do them it doesn't mean i'm not going to unapologetically teach the bible and let the chips fall i will because i believe god has given us a message not only for this house but for the church at large there is a way to build around the presence and in the presence the bible teaches it i'm not coming off it there's a reformation taking place in church life that is no longer unto the masses alone that is unto the king jesus who draws people according to his will there is a way to live with god so i'm never going to stop that but i also want to say we honor people who do it differently we honor people who believe differently in certain areas of course we're going to believe and forever stick to the tenets of our faith the creeds of the church the validity of scripture that is perfect and inspired of the lord that jesus is exactly who he says he is we will never budge on those things i'm never going to honor heresy for instance it's not going to happen here but what i will say is this is we're going to honor not only the other churches but hear me carefully here this is what i want to touch on other churches in this city other churches in this city we send on just about a monthly basis just so you know offerings to other churches in the city i've never talked about this but i want you to know the family you're part of because this should be indicative of your life and perspective as well other there are some churches who open the door for me in orlando to preach back in 2010 they get an offering from us there are churches who open their building one specifically one church pastor ron johnson opened his building to have our first jesus event jesus 14. was anyone there oh my gosh i know eduardo was there he got a good old-fashioned rebuke from master yoda he did pastor ron said you can use my church well it's our joy to send offerings to that church it's our joy another church in town was robbed we stepped up and i think we purchased or gave them enough money to purchase everything that was stolen enough just to give an example another church was closing its doors because of covid an inner city church in sanford they could not open i called them i said the lord has spoken to us to give you this amount the pastor flipped out and said this is the exact amount the bank was wanting from us or they were closing the doors why because we have to no because we get to honor looks like something it looks like something it's measurable we honor speakers when they come in here even some that are a bit bizarre and i've discovered that some of the most anointed or a large percentage of them are tough to figure out they're just different i think god's okay with it i no longer want to be normal normal sounds boring i want to be heavenly filled with the holy spirit we honor those people let me also say this what we don't do here is look at a gifting in another house realizing that leaders have invested in those people and try to get those people here there are a lot of ways to do that through policy through marketing campaigns what i refuse to do here is build a family that has been entrusted to other shepherds i'm not doing it i don't care if you can sing the house town or if you're the greatest graphics designer in the world i don't care about your gift set i'm not taking anyone from a local church why am i saying this to you i'm saying this to you because i know many of you are under the leadership of other churches and you come here on sunday nights i don't want you going back to your local church criticizing the pastor because things aren't happening there like they are here and then you try to get people to plug in here that's not the work of god that is the division of the sheep now that does happen out there this is not easy but i'm going to protect you come hell or high water i am protecting what god is doing here and that means protecting you i've had people walk into this room sit right here i will never forget it i walked out and just left prayer just feeling the lord's presence come out and there's a leader here i went to my seat and that radar went on and how many of you ever said something and then while you're saying it you're going i cannot believe i'm saying this you ever done that the lord just jumps out of you with his speaking i walked over to the leader i said if you've ever been to a church growth conference i promise you they never trained you to do this i walked up to the pastor i go what are you doing here what are you doing here while i said it i go oh my gosh what am i doing he said i just want to be in the presence of god my spirit said uh-huh sure you do i went back to my seat something said do not give him the mic and the moment you touch that mic you impart authority the moment you get behind the pulpit you impart authority it expresses to everyone in the room michael and the jess and the leadership team they trust this person you don't get the pulpit because you're that great you get the pulpit if you're trusted and you have integrity i went back in to the green room afterwards and my team came to me they said so-and-so tried to hire or bring in our worship team and our media team imagine you come into a church i have given i have literally given the dna of my soul to our team none of them are here because they're that qualified they're wonderful but i know them i know them in the lord i can tell you if i cut them open i can tell you what they'd say if you press them i can tell you their response before it ever comes i know about their marriages i challenge their marriages i call them i dedicate their children i fight for their children when they're sick i would give them my own money if they needed it i love this team and you raise them up as children in the lord's presence and leaders come and look them in the eye when i leave the pope and say hey you want to come our way that is division division is not mere disagreement division is the removal of the whole by splitting it up and that can come through offers our worship team you would be shocked at the offers people want to make them and how many of those things come without these leaders coming to me it's that is dishonor that is not honor we're not going to do that around town we're going to honor people i also want to say that you might be in the room tonight doing that it happens consistently i don't have a problem with you i love you but i do pray the convicting power of the spirit would come upon you and show you there's a higher way become the message love people lay your life down and you won't have to go elsewhere to find them they'll get behind you and run through a wall with you this is the life of honor we don't approach people's staff here we don't approach the members of their churches we don't approach their volunteers their students their interns their partners they're musicians or media teams we just don't do it maybe you're sitting in the room tonight and you're saying well i feel called here and i am at another church well i'm going to tell you what i've told two people as of late you go to your pastor number one hear the holy spirit number two go to your pastor and be humble and express your desire we don't control people pastors don't control people they lead people and serve people but i want to tell everyone in the room honor those an authority in your life even if you feel a transition god will bless it you could pull me aside in the shadows and say hey that church over there is dead or i feel called i'm going to tell you the same thing go low be humble and honor honor is one of heaven's currencies let me touch on this as well maybe some of you are wondering why haven't i been asked to be a volunteer here i want to be more plugged in other churches plug me in quicker we don't plug you in here to keep you in the seat that's not honest it is not authentic and genuine to plug you into a role that the holy spirit has not directed us to do just to increase attendance now you say that would never happen i bet students go oh my gosh we were made just this wonderful offer maybe it was the lord or maybe not maybe not you know when i went to reading nobody said uh we're gonna make you director of so-and-so to keep you in the seat bill never did that to me he loved me like a dad like a true spiritual father would kept me close protected me even from that stuff if it requires authority which is what happens when we offer people positions of any kind if that's what's what is required to keep people that means they're going to have to keep their authority to stay that is a tragedy and we just won't do it we will plug you in listen for the lord's sake and for yours not to build my crowds i'm not going to use you to to israel guilt was released and a plague came what was the lord saying to david there come on you don't need to do this don't you remember david saying who is my father's house who am i where am i from what is my father's house that you would trust me with such a covenant with such a people that the messiah would come through my line this is too good to be true he was aware of the mercy of god david knew he was just a shepherd boy who discovered the presence of god with a harp the lord was reminding him of that you don't need to do this you do that you're going to glory in you you do that you're going to glory in the arm of the flesh so you do that you're going to start thinking listen with a carnal mind and the moment the carnal mind sets in carnal activity sets in if you want carnal activity you want to fleshly arm begin to think with fleshly thoughts and david wanted to know how great is this kingdom that i have built there's a higher way to do this thing there's a more protected way to do this thing there's a way to do this that actually lives before the throne now there's a way to do this with the day of judgment in mind realizing god will acquire an account for everything we've put our hands to at which point he will look at motives and he will look between two categories of substance wood hay and stubble silver gold and precious stone he says those who bring wood hay and stubble will still be saved so they still go to heaven but the bible teaches that it's like they pass through fire and barely escape but their offering will burn this has been too hard to do that it's been wonderful but it's too costly to begin building with what hay and stubble now why silver gold and precious stone silver speaks of jesus the redeemer gold speaks that jesus is god precious stones speak of covenant and the very nature of the lord himself in other words when i build with silver gold and precious stones i actually don't build i actually believe that jesus will build the house and unless the lord builds the house they that labor labor in vain that's scary baby can you give me my phone in that same pocket that it was in is this okay i'm not mad i'm i'm i'm passionate about this listen to what i wrote the other day it is possible to spend the entirety of our lives pursuing what god actually detests all the while thinking we are pleasing him all the while we believe we are serving him and that he's impressed by our own abilities while the father is only impressed with the humble nature of his son not the devilish ambition that builds an idol and names it jesus thus yielding to the work of the spirit will always be more powerful and humble and building a tower that seems to reach to the heavens named babel i don't want to spend my life building something in the name of jesus and all the while doing in a way that jesus doesn't receive we don't have to i said we don't have to let me hit hyperdrive here give me 10 more minutes i just need it tonight's a special night and i just need you to stay with me next simplicity is holy oh it's so holy when you think of the word holy you just think one substance when you think of something that is pure what makes it pure there's nothing else in it when we purify water what are we doing taking everything but the water out purity isn't the existence of a bunch of things it's the existence of one thing therefore everything else has been removed that is simplicity the longer you walk with jesus the more simple life should become the longer you lead a ministry the more simple our pursuits should become we shouldn't be planning how to add more complexity but actually how to become more simple and holy back to the honor thing very quickly pastors in the room i know many of you fly in from out of town we are honored that you would feel to do what we do here but that in and of itself is not what you're looking for the copy and paste thing doesn't work and it's so recognizable you may not know people see it but they do people are not stupid now the masses seem to move in a direction and sadly people are predictable and some leaders know that if i do this the masters will do this but people filled with the spirit are not so gullible i want to challenge every pastor in the room every missionary every evangelist everyone i know i know you're in the room those of you watching i want to challenge you go get with god let him talk to you and break fresh bread before the people only do what god is telling you to do only initiate what god is telling you to initiate there's a higher plateau that the church must get to we must do that here of course we sing other people's songs if they're anointed i'm not saying that but i'm not out going to churches going i wonder how they pull those crowds i got to figure out the way when i walk into a church i walk into a church to worship that's why i go i'm hungry for the word i worship i want to know the lord i don't go in there wondering how i can capitalize on their breakthrough no no the jesus people don't do that next family we are a family in god's presence when you are a family in god's presence you choose mothers fathers brothers sisters above offices and positions and above offers you find the value in being surrounded by mothers fathers brothers and sisters and and esteem that as being more valuable than the greatest opportunities long term being surrounded with family in the spirit will take you further and in a more pure manner than the best offer from the biggest whatever choose family every time next next loyalty we are loyal people here loyalty is not control i'm not asking you to never leave i love you but you're free to do whatever you want to do when i talk about loyalty i'm saying we're loyal to the lord and we're loyal to the people god has called us to covenant with listen carefully now even if other people don't like our loyalty towards people they don't like i have had so many people get mad that i am benny's son-in-law they always say that you're benny son-in-law and i always go it's pastor benny that always helps to set the stage it's pastor benny number one but number two i'm not going to apologize for being his son-in-law i've had people go oh you you you can't speak here in this state they actually called me and said come up and preach i said it's fine on my way to preach this happened at university of whatever okay i went to preach at a university to an on-campus organization on my way to drive they go we have an issue i said what's the issue they said what are you going to preach i said jesus they go uh they don't know what to do with that one they go uh we need to call you back i said okay got you on that one so they hang up and then my phone rings again um we're glad you're gonna preach jesus but we just have a question for you what's the question is benny and your son your father-in-law yes what's the issue i say well you know no i don't know he's not coming to preach i'm coming and they'll say well can you tell us about the son-in-law thing yeah i'll tell you how that works you marry his daughter that's how you that's how you become a son-in-law but for the record for the record are you expecting me to be ashamed of somebody who led me to jesus because you don't like his hair he don't like yours you don't like his clothes i promise you he doesn't like you you don't like his accent he don't like yours it's the truth his car's too nice he don't like your your hoopty like i said this morning he don't like it who cares the church needs loyal loyal leaders a loyal congregation do you think for a minute i'm gonna distance myself from bill or heidi because some people don't like them what would that make me and what would i gain by distancing myself from people who impacted me a speaking engagement have you by the way if you ever had a speaking engagement they last an hour and they're over you still have to go to bed at night put your head down at night and and be authentic and truthful in your own soul if i have to dismiss people who have impacted me so somebody else will like me i don't need those other people in my life i'm not doing it that jesus people are loyal you say was jesus loyal he's loyal to solomon and solomon screwed up loyal to hezekiah hezekiah screwed up loyal to david he's going to sit on the in the city of david called the son of david and david still screwed up if jesus can be loyal we're to be loyal we're loyal people here i said we're loyal people here therefore loyal people are not swayed when they know god has called them to a house into a covenant community they don't move they don't care about anything else it comes down to the word of the lord and the word of the lord alone are you last one okay i added this just recently purity is greater than influence we have deified influence to the degree that now we have influencers if i hear another message on influencers i'm just going to do a cannonball onto concrete i don't understand it why don't you understand it it's not in the word it's just not in the word do you think jesus just hung out with influencers did he preach a different gospel to influencers did he cut back on his preaching because certain people were did paul not preach the gospel to felix did he not preach the gospel to us did he not preach a clear gospel even to caesar's household i had somebody tell me that once dude you're an influencer now i said when did that happen oh when your instagram hit this oh is that is that what it takes i just need to know i'm influencing heaven i don't know i don't know if i can influence heaven i will influence people purity is greater than influence purity is about his pleasure listen carefully the coming judgment celebrating what he celebrates and purity will also always carry more weight than results purity is the result of knowing jesus purity is not unto a bigger ministry ministries should birth purity in the people jesus is not a bridge to a better destination called influence jesus is the destination case closed you find him there's nowhere else to go in closing in closing and the reason i'm saying this is because it's knocked on our doorstep i had to walk many people through circumstances here that just don't need to be if you'll just see this in the light of the scriptures and in church today mary would say this and this alone he came and i sat at his feet therefore it was good the end that's what mary would say i sat at his feet and heard his word and i didn't move that's us ourselves who we are and we have to actually allow the holy spirit to tell us who we are lift your hands to heaven heavenly father i pray your protection over this house protect us from our own ways protect us from glorying and what you detest keep us from our senses keep us from majoring on what you don't even look at let this be a house full of mary's as we've prayed for years make this a bethany make us a bethany and make our hearts of bethany i just want to bless you now heavenly father rest upon the people with your tangible presence and glory let the light of your spirit shine brightly let a deep true love for jesus be our portion and find us faithful on that day unto him who is able to present us before the throne blameless do that in us live here live in us and with us i
