High Side Hustle For The Win At Fonda Speedway

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hey [Music] good morning everyone mandy here change plans guys we're going up horse racing i don't know if you got the memo um no but really so rolled in here up on a speedway late last night after albany and it was actually kind of nice like not having to go all the way back home but look at how like peaceful and quiet the pits are right now like no one's here it's amazing so um racing this evening but in the meantime gonna um head out go get breakfast and actually meeting up with allie and we are going dress shopping for the wedding so yeah so this morning's video might be just a tick different than normal but what's a vlog without a day in the life and after all that hard work ali got her dress that would be splendid of you i'm just gonna drop you off at the gate am i gonna take a spin real quick wow i don't even know where to start i just i don't know they've been here all day and then all of a sudden it was a mad scramble and didn't have the right tires apparently we we had a dismount bounce tires on rims because we're low on rims but come to find out there were two rims hiding in one of the toader compartments that mike had no idea about so not happy so we didn't get to so we missed hot laps we got to go out with them with the sportsmen at least they let us out but zoe is something [Music] jim's jim jim [Music] [Applause] [Music] we dirt trap so in the mix of all that running around mike didn't have time to put his headphones in with the receiver which is the one-way radio to the tower and we're like holy crap we can find it crawling everywhere thank god someone cleaned it and brought it to the lost and found and said finders keepers because these things are expensive so thank you and thank you guys [Music] you should know this by now get everything yeah so so so looked awesome so every single lap is faster faster faster and faster looks very very smooth looks good sun's loud a little dusty i'm sure it'll die down come future time as of right now the first key third heat's out there now but first team their fast time was i think 20.43 mike was a so i mean two tenths off itself that looks good one handicapped we're teaching ellie yeah tell us about that heat race sir uh the car was really good and the track was really nice there was a good top good bottom slick in the middle and it was racing so obviously we haven't been doing that great here so so we started third and we got uh we came over the win in the heat so happy with that let's see what we can do in the feature i think we got a pretty good car i feel very comfortable driving it and uh if i got kind of low on left through tire selection but other than that i'm very confident i don't have the right stagger but wait for uh like a good featured tire i might have to use like an old tire so that kind of makes you think like uh is that tire going to work but hopefully it does all right because i mean the trade-off is either you go out with too much stagger or you go out with old tires which one do you choose you want a new tire with more stagger it might be loose or maybe you're loose because you got an old tire they don't have left rears at the trailer uh i don't like new tires they got to be running good point so understood for what i got uh deal with it coin toss yep well well well that's just about the farthest we've ever started 30 laps are you sleeping what's that are you sleeping maybe looks like we're doing a little track prep i gotta say you probably can't see from here but the crown looks pretty good pretty good toyal down to the inside on the outside finally feature time that's where every time we do this we get run over almost always look both ways starting fourth ross getting at is 9 30 9 37 actually at the moment oh yeah so um pro stocks were just sad they had their feature but i mean they watered it pretty good on the top so mike's leaning towards top dominant track tonight which i'm okay with because i think we finally got hooked up there so run off worth 30 laps gotta go forwards [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] so [Applause] so [Applause] [Applause] so [Applause] so [Applause] five laps in ryan johnson's in second adam mccollum still blank so [Applause] yellow no last count so so so so [Applause] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is [Music] um [Applause] [Music] okay we won obviously right holy smokes he looks good very very smooth but in lap i'm just i'm all dirty in lap traffic i think it was craig hanson was catching us foley was catching us like in lab traffic their times are even a little bit like a tenth or two tons faster than us they're closing in and i was like watching the flagger and i mean he's i love when flaggers um names like samsung signal to leader to let them know how much of a gap they have or do not have so at first mike had a huge gap so he's like showing the signals like this and continue to show him like that but the guy in second was catching him like closing and closing in and i'm like stop giving my signals because the guy in second is closing in like hello and then mike's like and then all of a sudden the signals were like this close i'm like yeah so i mean it was they came out of turn four side by side and i thought holy crap i mean last yeah we got to leave pretty decently early but the last five ten laps was just keeps inconsistent keep getting through so gotta win amazing congratulations babe the entire team uh seriously the way every just the way racing goes in general yay so now to celebrate for a little bit um unfortunately i have a long trek at least a four-hour drive back to jersey heading there tonight for kutztown tomorrow so gonna go get the recap celebrate a little bit hit the road short celebration for me but yay looks awesome we won uh awesome night the car was really good i can't say enough about uh you know our team's persistence a couple weeks ago here we had twin twenties and it was a wet night and we got smashed up and uh it took a lot to to recover from that and get the car back where it was and when we won earlier this year so uh pretty cool feeling get two wins at fonda i raced here i don't know what year 2015 or something and i and i was winless for for regular shows um and uh you know up until this year i never won a regular show here now we got two so that's pretty good pretty good uh for a season and i mean uh last year one track championship in malta with only one win through the whole season we were just consistent here at fonda we got two wins but we haven't uh been that consistent it's been up and down so uh just really thankful that uh we keep all our guys keep plugging away and um rich is building cool stuff and helping us at home and uh we got josh and lance here working hard and my parents and mandy allie's helping and um it's just great you know got all these people to thank bicknell strange oval bert bulldog rears extreme lubricants precision us on and um you know a bunch of you guys just like chipping in and helping out with the tire here and there or or even more and uh it just truly means a lot and you know kind of silence sponsors and people and it's just it's a great group and i'm very thankful to have so much support and uh three wins this year so far that's that's a that's a great number right we only got one last year like i said so uh hopefully we can keep our uh keep our morale and our energy the level we are today and uh we'll we'll click off some more all right world so we have our four-hour ride home back to jersey just dropped ali off in her car she's got a freaking toy my drive screw her but awesome at night always great when you win right but it was good it was good it was slightly high slightly low when we had hot laps and kind of misha labs and oh my god just whoa but yeah so head down jersey um got me down there for the week so looking forward to seeing everyone down there it's been a while um thank
