High-End Apartment || The Sims 4 Apartment Renovation: Speed Build

hi guys it's almost here so welcome to another apartment renovation so today i'm back renovating this apartment which is a fashion district apartment this is one of the two story ones and if you're not exactly sure where it's located you can see the address in the top left-hand side of the screen so yeah if you want to place it in your game that's where it goes so for this apartment i am doing a two-bedroom three-bathroom more like luxurious high-end apartment at least that's the look i was going for hopefully i achieved it i think it was pretty easy to achieve because i'm using the custom content by harry if you guys aren't familiar with her custom content i highly recommend that you check it out i will have links in the description so you can find her basically on every platform i will put her link tree in the description so you can find her patreon page you can find her twitter tumblr youtube everything check it all out she's amazing one of my favorite creators in general i just i adore her so definitely check out all of her stuff and her cece is amazing in this build though i am using some of her uh collaborations that she's done with felixander i recently did a speed build where i showcased their collaborations i did a giant cottage in hemford on bagley showcasing all of their all of their custom content that they've done together and i really enjoyed that build and a lot of you guys seem to enjoy it too so i want to continue with that and do a hairy showcase for this build and i plan on doing a felix sanders showcase at some point too hopefully very soon we will see how my schedule goes and if i find the right build to do because i believe he mostly does build cc i mean he does interior too but he does really elaborate like windows and doors and stuff and so would be really fun to utilize a lot of that stuff but i'm kind of intimidated because it's so out of my comfort zone but either way um hopefully you guys will like the way this apartment turned out i just i really enjoyed decorating this one i think it turned out to be really nice and the cc really just made it come together i really love like the flooring and like the color choices that i chose i decided to go for um a green like sagey color along with a tan brown i thought they complemented each other really nicely and that wasn't like my original plan i was just kind of going into it without really a plan necessarily i thought i would just start play cncc and see where it took me and i started off by decorating the kitchen first and i used these counters the counters i believe are from the kitchen stuff pack i believe which is a collaboration between harry and felix sander but the island is purely made by harry and i think the combination of the two actually pair really nicely even though they are a little bit of a different style the island counters are are a bit more country and a little bit less modern but i used them in this sage green color and that's when it kind of like spurred on my color scheme that i wanted to go for and i think they just look so pretty in here and i actually really like it when you see island counters in real life that are different color than like the rest of the kitchen i think that's pretty fun but yeah i also put this really nice sink on here i thought the sink was super pretty and for a moment i did think about changing the counters to match the island but still in that same tan color because the colors seem to be pretty cohesive between harry's packs and then also the collaboration packs too they seem to flow really nicely and all of the colors are either the same or very similar so you can use them all together really easily and yeah i love the way this kitchen turned out and i love the archways that i use i love those shutter doors so much i think they look super pretty in this apartment and i really like using archways because they separate the spaces so the the rooms have their individual spaces but it's still like flows and feels really open and like airy if that makes any sense um but over here i'm adding some clutter i didn't want to add too much clutter because i didn't think that would really suit this style that i was going for but i still wanted this build to feel lived in and plus there's just so many great clutter pieces that come in uh both the collaboration packs and harry's packs are just ah they're so they're so nice like all of the shampoo bottles and the kitchen clutter and everything is just so nice um you'll also notice that i'm using the tool mod i replaced every single window in this apartment using the tool mod and actually at one point i deleted the entire apartment building on accident like i didn't delete this part of the apartment because this is like the building area but the apartment complex below it is actually just an object and you can click on it and you can move it if you would like to using the tool mod but i accidentally deleted it so i could have gone to an older version of this save and just started over before i deleted it but i decided just to save the rooms and move to a different save because it didn't matter this is just a building world so i could just build in another save it doesn't really matter too much but if you're building with the tool mod in an apartment please be careful because if you're playing in that world and you don't want to move to a different save then you might actually delete your apartment and that could be kind of unfortunate but either way that was just a mistake on my end i highly recommend you guys download the tool mod i've been using it recently in every single build and now that i've been using it i can't really imagine not using it it's changed building for me there's so many different possibilities and it's just so good and yeah check check out twisted mexi tutorials they are the creator of the tool mod you can there's just so many good things with it check out the tutorials because i was pretty intimidated by all of the new features and stuff that came with the tool mod and i wasn't really sure how to use it but i watched all of the tutorials and i have to say they were very helpful so check that out i will also leave a link to download it so you guys can go to twisted mexi's uh website and download the tool mod or their other mods and stuff too so yeah highly recommend that you guys check it out but either way i finished the downstairs bathroom it's just like a little powder room with a toilet and sink there's also a laundry room space which i thought was pretty nice to have next to the kitchen i think this floor plan actually turned out to be really nice it's very similar to floor plans that i've done before in this apartment but it is a little bit different and i think it just makes a lot of sense for this apartment let me know if you guys agree um in here though is going to be the dining room i was very indecisive about which dining table i wanted to use i really love round dining tables but i think in this room there was just too many chairs or maybe it was the colors or the style i'm not exactly sure what it was exactly but it just it wasn't really working for me so i end up using a small square table instead of this one but i still use the same chairs in the sage green color because i just i think they look so nice i just love them so much and i also really like this side table that i used over here and i just cluttered it up with different books and candles and this really nice artwork i also really like the painting that i put above it too so i really just love the way this dining room turned out i think it just looks super super nice and then also um the shutter doors are super pretty oh and this chair that i put over here i love that fuzzy throw that's on it um i thought that looked pretty nice and then over here is going to be the living room i don't end up using this couch i end up using the other couch that's more of like has a fuzzy texture to it it looks so soft and like plush and comfortable i really do like it and then over here this is a tv so it looks like a piece of artwork which is wonderful because i i mean i don't really mind the way tv screens look too much but for this style i think it just looks so sophisticated and just really nice to have artwork instead of just a big screen in its place so i absolutely love that but yeah this is the couch that i end up using the texture on it i'm not really sure if you guys can tell too much on the video but it just has like a fuzziness to it and it looks super super soft and this coffee table is pretty oh and there's pillows which i am obsessed with i absolutely love the pillows i'm not sure which stuff pack this came with by harry but either way the pillows are wonderful this is something that i've talked about in i can't even like recall how many builds i've mentioned pillows in but i really want something like that to come to the sims because if we were to get pillows in a pack then it doesn't really matter if they create couches or chairs without them because then you could just add them yourselves and then it's like you have a hundred different versions of that one couch because the pillows really just kind of make them look different and unique and you can set them up differently depending on the style that you're going for like you could add more pillows and make them look a little bit more messy if you're doing more of like cluttered family interior or you could only add like a couple if you're going for a more um sophisticated look like this i don't know i just really i'm obsessed with them and i feel like we need we need them in the game and so i'm happy to see them in custom content and excited to use them here and then over here is going to be the entryway so in the entryway i have this really pretty cabinet that i clutter up with some books and a plant and a candle and this tray with keys in it i'm completely obsessed with it i absolutely just love decorations like this i just i love that little bit of like realistic decor it's so nice um but yeah i think the entryway turns out to be really pretty i replaced the front door with this sliding glass door but i felt like your sims would not have any privacy so i put a curtain on it which i think looks really nice and the front door totally functions by the way even though i used the tool mod to delete the original door and replace it the door still functions as it normally would and it looks totally just natural like there's no uh there's no way you could tell so i really just i'm so happy to see that and i think it just opens up so many possibilities for apartments because i decorate apartments all of the time and i tend to decorate the same apartments because i just like them and the floor plans are a little bit easier to come up with but if i can remove the windows and replace them then really there's just so many more possibilities with apartments and i think that would have made the way the sims team done apartments so much more usable over the long term for a lot of different people if they would have made that feature like a possibility because even though we can't build like whole apartment buildings if we could at least customize the ones that we have and replace the doors and windows it would be i think a complete game changer for apartments so i'm hoping they consider something like that for sims 5 if if they still do apartments this way where we can't build them hopefully like ideally we could just build apartments ourselves but if not hopefully we can at least change the windows and doors would be amazing but anyways over here i am decorating the balcony out here i have a dining table a barbecue or a lounge chair some decorative plants the planter boxes and i think it just turns out to be really really nice nice cozy space and yeah it took me a little while to get it like put together i really wasn't sure especially with this whole like barbecue area i thought about using these wall decorations as like i'm not really sure what i was trying to do here but either way i didn't like the way it looked so i just put some shelves above it kept it nice and simple and not too cluttered but there's like a few decorations and i think that looks really nice i also wanted to use this fire pit but then i really didn't have like a great spot to put it and i thought i would have to like redo the entire way i decorated it if i was going to make it look like it belonged out here and it didn't really stand out and it didn't really look natural out here so yeah i decided not to but i love the balcony especially in the evening time i think the lighting is super pretty but here i'm moving on to the second floor so up here i have two bathrooms and two bedrooms and i decorate this bathroom first which i'm really happy with the way it turned out i just have a stand-up shower in here i was going to include a bathtub but i decided just the shower would be fine although i do create a nursery in here and so if you decide to play in this apartment and download it your baby will age up into a toddler and you'll have to give them a bath but the master bathroom does have a bath so you can give them a bath in there but of course if you want to redo this bathroom it'd be super easy to add a bathtub in here i just thought it looked a little bit nicer without it a little bit less cluttered and i honestly just wanted more counter space and so i thought if i set it up like this i could have more counter space and so yeah um over in this corner i kind of struggled what i end up doing though is i place a laundry hamper just a simple base game one and then i put a shelf above it with some bathroom decorations basically and things that i thought would look nice in here and i just love the way this bathroom turned out and that mirror i have to mention the mirror the mirror is so pretty i really like it a lot i end up using it in the nursery as well and so yeah i think it turned out to be really nice but yeah here i was adding the decorations up on the shelf i tried a bunch of different artwork and different different things but um yeah i don't think i end up placing artwork up here actually i just leave it um simple and then put a painting above the toilet i used that flower painting again i'm really liking that one a lot and then over here in the hallway i have a chair a side table and i put a painting above it it's pretty simple and then also a mirror which i thought looked really nice and then i wanted the staircase to be a little bit open so i deleted that part of it unfortunately though when i moved to the other save file for some reason i couldn't delete the flooring it was giving me some error code unfortunately i really hope that apartments get an update at some point because there's a lot of glitches and a lot of problems with them and really just like the whole way you download them in general is frustrating that you have to upload them to the galleries as rooms i wish there was a better system for apartments but anyways over here is going to be the nursery i absolutely adore this nursery i love the color scheme that i went for i was really inspired by the teen room that i did in the speed build where i showcased the collaborations between harry and felix sander if you guys haven't seen that build i highly recommend that you check it out especially if you like this apartment then you will most likely like that build um hopefully but i did a similar color scheme in that bedroom and i just really adored it so i decided to do that here but in a nursery version and the bassinet that i'm using is from the realm of magic pack there was a default replacement but it just really wasn't the style that i was going for but if you guys are interested in that um definitely check out the tiny travelers pack which has the cutest name ever and also this side table with the changing pad is also from that pack and i think a lot of the items that i use in here are from that cc pack so yeah highly highly recommend it check it out if you guys like the whole like safari animal theme which i think is so adorable here i'm replacing the window i end up replacing all of the windows here on the second floor so every single window in this apartment is replaced something i should mention that i think i forgot to mention in the last apartment that i did this in if you decide to download this apartment or any of them that i replaced the windows you'll have to go ahead and delete the original windows yourselves unfortunately they're still there if you place the apartment um thankfully i did have to place this apartment again in a different state so i was able to find that out so i could tell you guys so keep that in mind you'll want the tool mod to delete the original windows which is super simple to do but yeah it's something it's a little bit unfortunate like i said i wish the whole system for apartments was better hopefully it will be getting an update i would really like to see that but either way i think replacing these windows was a really good decision although i ended up deleting the whole apartment building as you can probably tell i accidentally click on it at some points and i think i got a little bit too confident and like was going too quickly and somehow deleted it but either way thankfully it was an easy fix for me because it didn't matter which world i was building this in but yeah in here i'm adding some decorations i use these books so many different times in this apartment but really the book clutter is so nice like like the colors of them and the patterns on them i'm just completely obsessed uh over here though i wanted to use one of these hanging mirrors i think they were made for the medium wall height and this is the shortest so i just used the tool mod to lower it down and i thought that looked pretty good and then over here along this wall i end up leaving it blank for now but i do end up placing a wall light just like a base game one just to fill in the space a little bit but i didn't want to add another painting or like a shelf or something i felt like with the wallpaper i was using if i added anything else it would just end up looking busy and kind of unnecessary so i left it alone and then over here is going to be the master bedroom i really adore this room i think it turned out to be so pretty i end up placing a fireplace in here of course i replace all of the windows and i also leave an archway into the bathroom and like i mentioned in the previous cc build that i did i love when you can like see into the bathroom i didn't place the bed where you could like see the bathtub from the bed but i feel like that's so like romantic and it just feels kind of like dreamy and it's really just like a fun way to take screenshots just because they look nice but here you can see i am in a brand new save i'm not sure if you guys could really tell but at some point around then replacing the windows i deleted the apartment so i just moved into a new save and yeah it's not that big of a deal but i think i just got a little bit carried away and too confident with my abilities to use the tool mod because i'm still learning i'm still not super like comfortable using it but um the more and more that i use it the more comfortable i'm getting and yeah like i said it's a complete game changer for me oh here i'm replacing this wallpaper i thought adding like an accent wallpaper with some pattern and color would look really pretty in here and really these wallpapers are they're works of art like truly harry and felixander are both like true artists like the stuff that they make is beautiful and it's elegant and it's just it's like an honor to be able to use them really like i'm just completely blown away um i do end up replacing that wallpaper for a different version though just because i felt like this one was a bit busy and i wanted one that was a bit more subtle so either one though i think looks really pretty over here above this statue i end up using that flower painting again i don't have it there at the moment i have it next to the bed but i end up moving that one over there and then putting a couple just smaller pictures in its place and so i think that looks really nice and over here next to the door i end up using the like vanity table i had been trying to use these vanity tables in several different spots in the apartment and i just really couldn't find like a great spot to use it but i think over here it looks really nice and i put some clutter on top of it oh and this light that i put up here is the same one that i ended up using in the toddler room i felt like it matched this style really nicely and it was a good um option to use for just like a wall mounted light to go with the style because there wasn't an option from the cc packs but yeah here i just changed up that wallpaper and i'm shuffling around some of the artwork and placing some paintings over there and i think i end up changing the color of the frames to those paintings to a darker brown but looking back i think i should have left them light but either way that's an easy fix if you guys think so too and then here i'm working on the bathroom so in here is a stand-up shower a bathtub a toilet and a sink all of your necessary bathroom items and some clutter decorations of course and then yeah i think this is basically it for the apartment i hope you guys have enjoyed this one hopefully you guys have enjoyed me using cc a little bit more often i definitely have more plans to download more custom content and do some more showcases just to kind of switch things up and do different types of videos so yeah check out the description box you guys can download this custom content if you are interested and
