Hermitcraft 7: Auctioning All Items! (Episode 61)

ladies and gentlemen welcome back to deck craft hello sir good day to you as well and yeah welcome back guys we're at decked out at the moment and yeah we got ourselves a couple more things in decked out we actually did a run through of this on stream settle down guy settle settle down but we ran through this on stream one time and we got uh another four artifacts i think i actually traded one in for a coin but uh yeah i just wanted to update you guys on this we got a part of the end set we got a part of the nether sets dragon set along with our ocean shiny and which set unique item right there so we'll have to look into trading with some of the other hermits i think joe and false maybe would be good choices because i think they both have some items that we might be interested in what up jeff this guy has been camping the button for like the last couple of hours he's ready to fight to the death i'm gonna go check the button see where it's at i think it's uh i think it's uh it's a three it's that three so that's what's going on at the decked out game and yeah also last episode we built this little pathway here turns out a lot of you guys absolutely hated it so we are going to tear it all out and redo it because yeah people just didn't like the uh the glass and the concrete i tried to keep this the same as assume i had it over here and i thought it was okay you know it's pretty much exactly the same as this one uh except you know with the concrete colors different um but yeah people hated it so we're gonna totally change it up we're gonna totally change it up so that's one of the things we're going to do also uh we've been enforcing the area we've been policing the area a lot here recently um yeah we got a whole bunch of stuff underneath the town hall that is just waiting to go to auction uh turns out that nobody actually came and claimed anything so we're just gonna have a huge auction i'm thinking over here potentially because i think this is technically a suma's plot but i think we're gonna maybe try to see if we can get it from maybe we can buy it from them or convince them to let us use it temporarily um so yeah we'll see what happens but i'm thinking over here would be a good spot for the auction right because it's already being used by the mayor for like road potential road designs during his election so yeah there's also still a hole in his face for some reason but yeah beside that's beside the point anyways let's get to work on improving this road design i got a really cool design that should also have a little bit of technical features which should help us in the road building competition all right guys so green concrete powder has been taken out green glass has been taken out and we got some sole soil down here now which i can travel around super quickly since i have the soul speed boots this is gonna be part of our technical uh upgrades to this road uh so yeah people have soul speed they'll obviously be able to travel super quickly and i'm thinking we also want to have maybe some other aspect to this road that's technical so maybe we'll have like a little bit of like a lamp uh on the side of this that will like light up whenever it turns tonight i think that would be kind of cool i think that would count as a good uh like technical thing to add so um yeah we're gonna put down soil soil throughout this entire area here and then we're gonna get out some polished slabs some polished blackstone slabs right here and so this is basically going to be primarily what this path is going to be made of now so we're going to go with some polished blackstone and you can see we can actually still move across the soil soil as if we were just walking straight on the sole soil even though we're actually on the slab so that's going to be super nice and then i think we'll have probably some oak wood some stripped oak logs and stuff along the side here except not like not like this like this like that because i think that goes really nicely with the green of the mushroom island the green grass here the mushroom island and then i think we can get out some let's see let's find a good spot here let's get out this i think we can put down some redstone lamps sort of like in the side here a little bit like this and then maybe on the other side you know we'll have one like right here for instance let's say right there and then in the middle we can have like a daylight sensor that controls them so like we'll have something like something like this here maybe right there so yeah that should work pretty nicely or maybe we'll have these i don't know we'll have like just like a black glass here we'll have to see but something like this is what we're gonna go for for the road designs so let's go ahead and make it happen well ladies and gentlemen it wasn't easy but we got the pathway now completed looks like this and it also functions as kind of a super speedy super highway right here which is kind of nice because it allows you to quickly easily get between different shops due to the increased speed thanks to the soul soil beneath these slabs and so you can move around super quickly on this pink road now and it also looks great with the uh i really like the contrast here between the uh the black and the uh the oak wood the stripped oak wood and also these lamps on the sides will now light up at night i wired all these up and we hid the wiring we hit all the uh the stuff that lights up these lamps in the ground um next to the pathway so you can see here in this uh leaf block you look closely down there there's actually a daylight sensor down there and that actually is what controls this set of lights here and this set of lights here and then over here for instance we have another one so there's another daylight sensor there controls these two lamps and then if we speed over here another daylight sensor here and repeat for all the entirety of this road so that's how we got every bit of the lamps wired up so no redstone visible for the lamps and they just pop on automatically so let's just see that here all right sun is now setting you see yep there's one set of lamps that have come on right there detecting the darkness and very shortly here we'll see yep another set comes on right there very good and then wait for it shouldn't be but a few moments longer there's something that came on way down there there's some that came on there and then these two should pop on momentarily which means that all the lamps for the road will then be on yep there's one right there and the last one maybe possibly did i forget to hook it up i might have forgotten to hook it up i don't oh nope there it is yep okay sweet i for a minute there i was like what the heck is going on but yeah now we have the entire thing lit up so we can now speed on through and you can see what it looks like at night gives a pretty good coverage in terms of like lighting up the entire area so there's all along the pathway here there's the wandering trader now invisible and yeah you can see it's all lit up down here and all lit up over here if we take to the skies it's actually kind of a cool sight from the sky so yeah you can see pathways are lit so that is pretty nifty and i hope will give us a high technical score when the judges make their assessments of the roads in this area so that is the hope but anyways um yeah i think this project is now done so let's see what else we're gonna do today ladies and gentlemen welcome back to vibe time inside the enforcer's office i take several minutes out of my day every day to just sit here and just five and if somebody happens to come by we would give them their stuff but unfortunately this whole past week i've told the other hermits they can come by and pick up the stuff that i uh seized basically from the shopping district of which there is an insane amount uh and nobody stopped by nobody stopped by very unfortunate because that means that stuff that we seized is now going to auction so let me make my way down here and i didn't know this was going to be such a big project but i've had to spend many many hours collecting everything and organizing everything so you can see here everything you see here is going up for auction so here's just a small sampling of what we got these are from various areas around the shopping district but wait there's more we also picked up some stuff from in front of false's area in front of a zuma's area who is this i don't even know who this ren's area yeah there was a there was a chest just sitting in ren's area there was a chest in front of a couple chests on the back side of the mayor hill all these uh outside of this skull shop there's diamonds and stuff in there there's ender pearls this was outside of scars monster shop picked this up during the stream and it just goes on and on and on so i envisioned this auction going as follows so we're going to not auction off you know individual shulker boxes that'd be like you know several dozen shulker boxes maybe even more that we have to auction off instead what we're going to do is we're going to auction it off based upon where the item was found so for instance all these shulker boxes you see here these were all found outside scar's leaf shop his monster shop so all these things all these shelter boxes are gonna be auctioned off as one unit and then all the shulker boxes found on the back side of the giant mayor hill all these will be auctioned off as one unit and so uh that's how we're going to set this thing up there's going to be probably about yeah about a dozen or so different categories uh and some will be significantly larger than others and some will have really really good stuff so i encourage the other hermes to participate but we gotta set it up first we gotta set it up so let's head back topside and set up this auction block you know what why make a place up there when we have a perfectly good spot right down here look at all this space here for activities so we're gonna make this that it basically connects up on the other side of this portal so basically if you walk out this side of the portal there's gonna be i imagine like a big room here with like tables with all of the items organized into the bidding categories i think that's that's a plan that's a plan we can do because yeah look at look at all this space it's just like a crazy amount of space just like an unlimited amount of space just sitting here underneath of the town hall underneath the town hall right there so yeah let's just go ahead and transform this area here into a nice little like silent auction house type thing and uh yeah i'll be right back all right guys so we got a good spot now dug out for our auction area uh again this is going to be a silent auction so there's not going to be like it's like hey 25 25 25 yeah i'm not gonna be anybody like that you know auctioning off although that would be awesome if we had like an actual auctioneer coming in here and yeah people could bid on them in real time that'd be pretty sweet but uh i think we're just gonna have like books and lecterns and stuff uh so i've started a pathway here which is going to be an extension of the pathway that comes out of the portal here so this will basically form one giant pathway all the way through with the portal in the middle uh and the auction area on the other side uh and we also probably will emulate like this bit here maybe with the uh the granite and stuff just so it's consistent and we'll maybe decorate the inside of the auction area similar to the actual town hall itself with like bricks and granite and sandstone and stuff just so it gives a feel of it's like one contiguous building that would be kind of cool i think but in the meantime though uh i want to go and check out decked out uh we're actually supposed to meet joe hills here in a few minutes uh at the decked out mini game whoops excuse me right there thank you so we're gonna head on down here and we're gonna see well if uh wow this is pretty quick so we're gonna first of all see if there is actually a dungeon key available over at decked out and we're also gonna meet with joe hills see if we can get ourselves an artifact to help build our set you're not joe settle down guy settle down hello joe how are you howdy club joe hills here not being a ravager as i often am in decked out by tango tech yeah dude have you been you've been through this once already right yeah once i'm i'm got another key and i'm looking forward to doing a second run so i'm pretty pumped about that oh exciting it's exciting exciting joe dude i was looking at your board looking at your board and i see you got a witch set common item right there another word yup yup would you potentially be willing to trade that common item because i i need that one i need that one because i have a witch set unique one right here uh so that's true that's true would you be willing to to uh to trade for this ocean set common because i think you have an ocean one as well you have an ocean rare i think yeah i do have an ocean rare um you know so i mean that's not as helpful as as completing a set where you have a unique um you know and i'm not sure that tango has really made it clear how the statistics are gonna work on that stuff but you know if you wanted to throw in an extra coin just to make up the difference i think that would probably be fair okay yeah that sounds good that sounds good let's do it let's do it i will pop this here might be uh breakable or like might absorb items but there you go okay cheers cheers and then here's your ocean set and a coin ah thank you very much all right all right very good very good sweet fantastic four of these in each set i probably should start like um in like columns i'm guessing how are you doing course that's a good that's a good uh a good strategy i think i think i'm gonna actually adopt that as well i put the unique at the top and then the common one at the bottom and go go that way i was gonna go the opposite way but you know what i like that it keeps you know people who might be uh tempted to steal you know the unique ones are a little bit more out of reach yeah sure yeah yeah perfect i thought we've had a lot of theft on the server but you know it uh it's better not to tempt people yeah i mean also organize it so people can see what you got so you can facilitate trades better too right oh yeah definitely like over here i've got one from the villager set i don't know if you've got any of those yeah i don't have any of those i think i got uh netherset enset dragon set shiny set and which set well joe thanks for the uh thanks for the trade man glad to uh glad we could do something that uh benefits us both here in this game oh yeah yeah and thank you for indulging me and talking strategy a little bit because it's always fun to have stuff to you know it's a multiplayer game let's multiply you know yeah exactly exactly all right man i will uh i'll leave you to it i don't i think you're gonna run here soon so uh good luck man yep all righty thank you keep adventuring all right guys so we got the floor of the auction area now mostly completed so we're going with the road from the outside and the floor from the town hall interior so that's great concrete and polished diorite we also put some lighting underneath the carpets here uh which is nice so it yeah provides a nice bright area because we want it to be super dark and if we didn't have that it would be extremely dark but yeah now we need to add in like the tables and stuff so i got my stuff over here that's nothing so we need to find our chest of wood stuffs here it is right here so what i'm thinking is i'm thinking we have tables like auction tables like they typically have its silent auctions that are going to be kind of like this so let me grab an axe and we'll have like a stair here we'll have some stuff like this coming over like this and then another thing like this so like this would be like one table here in fact let's make it just three wide here so be like that and then we can have see maybe but yeah then we'll have like the actual shulker box on here so people can look in and see the contents and then we'll probably have the lectern right in the front here so let's see if i yeah got a lectern and so we'll have the lectern right here so they can look in see the items they're bidding on and then bid right here and then of course we'll need more of these we'll probably have to have bigger tables than this for sure for some of the the bigger groups of items but uh that's sort of the general vibe i'm going for so i think we have i want to say 16 categories in total so we need to put in put down at least 16 tables and hopefully they will all fit so yeah i'm gonna keep working here and i'll be right back ladies and gentlemen check it out we got the general purpose room underneath the town hall now completed and i think it's looking pretty decent i think it's looking pretty decent so we got the road pattern complete we got the walls completed with the terracotta and the sandstone variants we've got some nice lighting on the walls sandstone border the stem block roof which is kind of an expensive roof and then we also emulated the chandeliers which are in the town hall above us uh we emily emulated those as best we could down here so that yeah it gives a very similar feel to the town hall um as well so that's pretty cool we also finished up this area here so we just basically made it the same as this area right here essentially so that's really cool um yeah as you can see it's right underneath the town hall so from the main portal just go out the other side of the portal and you're in the the general purpose room right here so i think it's a nice little addition here and beyond the auction i think we can use this to house like scoreboards for events and stuff we have like group events and things i think that would be really cool and be a good like area to like have something like that because it's right next to the portal so easy access to it uh but for now uh the only things we have left to do in this room i think are put down the books so we need written books so people can place their bids here at the silent auction and i need to clean up some of the other stuff that i've been using to make this room so you know we got stuff here for sandstone and andesite and granite and yeah gravel and stuff to make the concrete and diorite and all that good stuff so we got to clear that out from this area because i don't want to leave it around here and yeah let's go ahead and get those written books down right now and finish up this silent auction room all right ladies and gentlemen welcome back so we have now the auction open and bids are now being accepted so you can see here i've actually bid one diamond on this box right here on this box here i bid one diamond on this box here one diamond and i actually bid one diamond on every single one of these items because why the heck not i might as well if i can get like thousands of items for just one diamond i might as well right and especially on some of them like i think this one yeah this one auction number seven this one has 11 diamonds in there already so if i can get it for just one diamond why would i not why would i not do that why would i not do that um so yeah tell the other hermits come on over place their bids and we have a little info book about how this thing works over here so yeah you can read it if you want to but basically it says auction starts today which is the 16th auction ends september 30th so they got two weeks to get in here the winners will be announced on october 1st uh signs indicate where the boxes were found you can look at the contents before you bid uh some items some auctions have a few items some have many all diamonds will go toward the prize for the ongoing mayoral road competition so these and the diamonds for the road passes will all go toward the road competition and it says good luck on your bids and there's also an asterisk that says any ties will be decided by a sumo wrestling match in the hwf arena so if anybody ties they gotta wrestle it out in the hwf arena to determine who gets the prizes so there we have it guys that is the silent auction now up like i said i'll run for about two weeks or so and then we'll decide after the end of two weeks whoever has the highest
