Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I have no idea how keyless entry hasn't caught on yet, my mom's old '02 Windstar had it
/u/Doug-DeMuro When you show the HUD that shows the speed limit, you pass a 40mph sign, but the HUD stays at 50!
Literally undriveable
Those 30 way seats are hella tempting
As an aside, I really like that Lincoln is going back to actual names instead of that alpha-numeric bullcrap. Continental, Aviator and Nautilus just scream classic American luxury.
Hey Doug just a FYI. The way these automated tailgates work is that they're able to sense your leg across the whole rear bumper.
To make sure that you really want to open the tailgate the correct movement is a kick without hitting the car because that sliding movement might just be you walking past the car. And you obviously have to have the key with you ore somewhere behind the cat.
The reason why it worked this time is because the sliding movement was fast enough for it to think that it was a kick.
The big missing feature on this car is suicide doors. As nice as it is, there isnβt anything that distinguishes it from other cars in its class.
Am I the only one who doesnt like the manual backups for the doors? Like, why? Just make the main handle manual so you dont need 2 ways to open a door.
Hi /u/Doug-Demuro, quick comment on the doors. While the driver's door is only one with an emergency latch, the other three have capacitors that allow you to pop open the door for up to 36 hours after losing the battery. So you don't need to worry about getting trapped in the back.
Its a nice car (especially the seats!) but I think people are probably going to look at other luxury sedans before they look at this. As Matt Farah said, Lincoln needs a car like the Chrysler 300 if they're looking to boost sales.
