Headlight restoration with Meguiars heavy duty kit

[Music] I'm gonna do a little tutorial on polishing the headlights get them clean with the Maguire's headlight protection plastic X here when it first you want to clean them off real good get all the dirt and grime off whose tell it was pretty nasty I'm gonna start out with our thousand grit there a little sanding pad to give us him a kit we get a little bottle with water just spray it on the headlight just keep saying it and make sure it stays wet basically what you're doing is leveling out the plastic taking off all the oxidation don't take long you just want to work it real good this is the second headlight I've already done the other side if you want to take a look over there that's the finished product that's what we're going to get over here on this side keep it wet once you're done with that one you little squirt freshwater micro cloth they give you the kit I want to wipe it down get all the water off of there now and all the it's nice and glazed over so it's pretty good on the first go you want to change out from the thousand grit we're gonna go up to the 3000 grit pad go back with the water and just start going it doesn't take long [Music] as you can see unless the oxidation is all gone the haze is gone oh you got a pretty smooth wipe it off you know just a little bit of hazing left on not as bad as the first one they're nice and dry they supply you with this buffing Fiat pad to go on a cordless drill or corded drill however you want to do it we're gonna use this plastic X here just apply a little bit to the pad they're working on [Music] [Music] pretty good then we'll go one more time across it will make sure you tape up around the edges so that way you don't get into your paint make sure this stuff doesn't dry out [Music] as you can see it don't take lunch don't take long it stores your headlight back to almost new fill this off right now give you a little good light protection place if we're like a wax take a clean cloth a little dab on here tape it on what kind of haze ever take your towel buff it off there you go Lawton too give a thumbs up if you like it this is Robert with 772 customs thanks
