[HC] Grim Dawn Beginner SSF - Bleed Trickster, Swarm, Spirits & RoS - Part 1: Act 1 to Act 3

all right so welcome everybody to another beginner source of fun playthrough um i had a poll on youtube as well as a poll here on twitch right so the poll on youtube is basically 54 percent complete trickster and the other one was like yeah also trickster at place number one and what had to talk about trust in spot number two so we're gonna basically play a brilliant trickster today right so um i would call her someone even beginner sandy andy mandy dandy blendy bleeder i don't know beginner tips and tricks you can't even write the end here all right so this is going to be of course as always hardcore the question is should we play veteran or not i mean i did some veteran playthroughs i did some non-veteran playthroughs i feel like the veteran and what does it do it does make the game a little bit slower or a game a little bit harder but honestly if you know what you're doing veterans like just like additional waste of time right um [Music] so we could just i don't know just play standard like without veteran it should make this really challenging and play the league mode lots of fun leveling with all the ghosts [Music] we could actually also do that but i mean we're gonna do that i guess anyway right when the next league starts right and uh [Music] yeah then like everybody who's like not playing the league it's gonna be like uh but i got so much more loot i do maybe not i don't know my girlfriend's penis is too large for my throat yeah that's exactly what's going on big mac that's that's literally exactly what's going on yo ashton what workman workman veteran i could play veteran i guess right or not okay so we create this character and we just start together there's no other character here there's no gear next what's over here so let's take a look at full fresh play through ah i've been expecting you human yo and ny cooper well come on welcome back to the prom thank you so much for the support yo how's that lee welcome and welcome on farmsworth welcome welcome all right so you start the game here you work you talk to the sky you don't talk to him doesn't really matter actually and uh yeah you know look at the butt you will uh we can get the slow note hero on the sign right crudely scroll note get a little bit like an xp boost here early on and then just like smack some of these zombies or the club because that's what you do in this game or you're lucky i just get a gun right away here right and then shoot these guns we already have that stream rng activated it seems like already on the first corpse and again and then once you hit level two you should if you want to play a bleat trickster basically start with shaman and start with the warring spawn right so let's do that this is uh not necessarily like high single target just like a aoe dot that you can like put in your enemies yeah it's gonna take a while in that run like act one veteran is gonna feel like a slug if you're not playing that trend these guys are gonna like die a lot quicker um but nevertheless the war on the swarm should be able to like just carry a fine you know put some more pawns here to like actually kill all of these but like one cast and not have like recast twice like uh recast ones here not the bees the bees the swarm bees all right i bought items right about loot twitter granddaughter you can just click on the symbol over here and then just remove commands right away because comments are literally trash uh you should always like have this one ticked because double layers are always good and then the magic right the yellow items they become useless rather quickly as well this game compared to many other rpgs but you can keep them like until around level 15 to 20ish i would say it depends though i'm probably gonna just put all points here honestly uh if you're playing hardcore you can like roughly try to follow the rule of 100 to 120 points of hp per level and you can also follow the rule of like putting one point to your stat bar and like two points to scale up your choice every level like at least one point to your stat bar and one point two um at the bar down here for double that's usually what i would advise another third point can you go either to your skill if you already have a skill enabled that you want to play or go down to the bar as well if you want to like reach your skeleton you want to play and the welcome one pokemon so um what else can we do right we have this arm that you can get from baroque right the guy to be defeated under the tree here this is not a 100 guaranteed drop but it is a drop that you can get and if you get it you'll probably just use it honestly if you're playing a shaman because as a shaman um or you want to like if you want to deplete charm and then using savagery instead of your default attack it's fine i'm just like a decent filler and it does give it like some additional like bleed damage overall which doesn't prove like your development one as well gonna dual wield on those tricks pretty much ever even though we are playing and not play at secondary right we're gonna play an output secondary we aren't really gonna do a will a lot of things maybe if we find some like perfect bleeding items but honestly bleeding doesn't really scare that way with uh like do a wheeling so there's not really any reason to do this like as a dual builder um so we're gonna put some more pawns here and then moving like one pumpkin here i kind of want to save points for night light as well though because honestly one like once you're like level 10 you just want to like start working on knight blade i mean you can also go for crossing once though like that's also still fine like it does still bleeding damage right but other than that shaman it has a boring swarm early but after that's like not even that great for bleed like in mid game and knight blade has like proper bleeding nukes right like not played a circle of slother as well as the blade spurts and those are amazing for bleed um we're gonna like probably respec after act one once we have a certain shield in act six i mean x7 from forgotten gold anyway but it wasn't that's gonna take a while on that run my veteran is just pretty slow again maybe now i don't have any more points right and there's nothing else you can do you're really at this level in that room like you can just clap him down with the savagery as the one pointer and like usually the warriors won't leave it's gonna take a while always no matter what to do kind of yo blender welcome don't forget to get all of these shrines right trons are very important because they basically um like enable your third mastery which is their devotions right you can look at devotions as basically like a third mastery um now when it comes to gear right looking at these items january i mean as a bleeding boat you do want to look for percent bleeding damage of course for damage and other than that just like look for resistances resistances are very important this game so even the software you want to max resistances at all costs i mean not at all costs but like you want to have max resistances um at some point anyway like all of the maps should work on that now when it comes to attributes right i mean putting points of physique is never bound putting points of spirit on a bleeding doll is gonna be pretty bad because spirit only scales like your energy regeneration as well as your magic damage and bleed is not magic damage right that is one of the like non-magic damage types which are physical internal trauma bleeding and pierce damage so yeah you can put like a healthy mix of cunning and physique right cunning is gonna scale without bleeding damage it also kind of gives you a fence of ability which makes you like it which makes it easier for you to create stuff physique uh well gives you health and regeneration and makes it harder for enemies to create you and ideally you want like d a high enough so that you are never getting cut um which you are still here i mean veteran early game is just brutal honestly and on the other hand you won't like cunning high enough so that you always crud which we can't yet either because we're playing veteran um and it's actually brutal yo simply call me joe what can work on 1066. what does 1066 is it like some number that i should know so like a number of americans now let's work on the limit later so yeah we're like still gonna put like one point down here two points of the world swarm every level it's the number of bills that madly published 1066 not bills in the year 1066 and the year 1066. that's the number that europeans should know down right not americans i do not know it and they feel free to enlighten me like i can't i can't remember it right now nc66 was actually what was that 1066 oh hastings okay battle of hastings that's is that the normans already is that when the normans defeated the saxons or is that later uh so it is when the normans defeated like saxons basically it is when england become french yeah like when it became like i mean not really like they didn't like become french right the normans weren't like the french but i mean they came from france they came from normandy of course now you could say that but i wouldn't say that's like sure i mean so this guy did like milton heart like he actually did a lot of damage like veteran stage yeah i mean as i said like that's really the game is just brutal and you can just run around like a prior swarm that's kind of like all you can do here for now single target is kind of horrible not gonna lie uh yeah but we did not place eight percent bleeding damage pog um or physical pressures honestly um i mean it doesn't really matter what you take here tibono's in general i would say resistances are better but like at this very very very early stage of the game sometimes percent damage can also be better because like your percent damage has not reached a level where like plus 10 or plus 20 is negligible whereas plus 10 resistances between 0 and 10 is like not that big of an increase than say from 70 to 80 right if you take a look at devotions over here um you want to basically like work towards back and forth you want to fight like your first act of pleading the ocean that you can use so yeah we're just gonna let go for that right away i think let's put two more here and one dawn here and where the confessor died and harold godwin's son was appointed king of england herod a hard draw ducking of norway and william the bastard nuked normandy simultaneously invaded england william the conqueror eh that's the guy right at least i know that guy [Music] also there's a offhand and often that is guaranteed to drop from this corpse over here every single time and that was covers conjuring though and honestly early game it is fine to use like every single build if you can use it which i can't even do right now because oh this one gave me spirit okay now there are components in this game right components can be used in pretty much every single slot of your gear like for example we could put some polished emeralds here on this ring and this will probably still not give me enough spirit right now i don't but it's fine i also don't want to use like points into spirit before reasons that i mentioned earlier right i'm gonna continue putting points to cunning and all physique not single point spirit i think we're gonna get like the required spirit to like wear gear from our masteries or we simply just don't use that gear because we don't wanna really use a girlfriend later anyway we're probably gonna use a shield which needs physique so that's fine yo how are you doing also early game at least in veteran honestly like your pot management can be kind of rough as well and you might run out like energy or help but you know there is actually no shame in buying pots or the game in this game it's fine you could just go to a random vendor in devil's crossing just buy pots that's fine you can do that you're gonna have like more than enough pots later on also if you're like actually new to this game like just um exploring his files too right they're like some smaller like side zones or sellers that i'm skipping here because they don't really [Music] they're not really like important for like progression but they're still like fun places to to look out for and there's some lore attached to them so you can like always go there if you want to now once you have the foggy bankrupt um and you have killed i mean don't forget to like kill milton heart right he's like either spawning dust or this house then don't forget to like kill julius and negan like those two zombies and hopefully i'll also like killed pharaohs earlier in the dump and then here in the [ __ ] bank you also want to make sure to go down into this sloth cave although there's like there's actually great xp right if you're playing the warring swarm and you're like standing next to these like hoes or that stuff like spawn out of you can get like insane xp and just like by pressing the warren spawn button once it's insane i'm going to do the red and still bleed maybe i've been expecting you could do that like chill heart is also a like guaranteed well basically yeah okay 96 uh 97 rather than welcome thank you so much for your support that's a bad build i mean pep played spirits or i mean bleed plates bleed blade spurs are kind of a pet bill not [Applause] anyway all right we've got two devotion pawns here let's continue working on that [ __ ] let's get some xp here as well we can also like always just support out of those right i might go back to [ __ ] bank that's fine um on the other hand i don't want to go back to foggy bank i just want to go the back devil's crossing i like to use to just like progressing um which is fine but if you like playing on your very first character i need some time you do want to hand in this quest and you do want to hand in this quest with the ether crystals and then you really want to get like five scrap to go to the setter here right because the cellar quest is gonna give you uh extended inventory right it's gonna give you like another backslot here so that's really important early going otherwise you might have to like go back to shops to sell your stuff like way more often than you really want to we're gonna sell i think everything here apart from i mean this one has andre regenerate an energy region it's something i still do somewhat need right now i want to save this offhand donut i need like a little bit more spirit i need to like find another of these like polished emeralds up to like eight spirit as well now we have a three scrap ranch if you rescue fallout is gonna give you another scrap here right there it does plus one scrap and also if you have killed milton you're going to get an amulet here the sisters love giving emirate which is decent however you always start your game with a salt bag right do not sell that salt bag ever even though it's like only a white item you will need it later for a certain secret quest so just put it in the in the back here there we go look at the storage use the regular thor's horn match why would i use an item that's not that good when i could use an ipad that's better all right all right that's the target this guy um this lady on the right at selena you can respect your um skills and devotions for a like iron cost plus ether crystal fee right and we've maxed out the swarm and um i kinda wanna may save points for not played maybe not i'm not sure i can like still invest pawns in lasting ones and spikes [Music] all right so we have four scrap red now right so we can also check the vendor here and he's gonna sell us scrap number five all right so you need to basically only find three scrap because you can get one from farthest and then you can get like one from the vendor as well so we have file scrap now let's go down to the seller i mean yeah rugged thor's horn is okay for bleed it's just other options are better right all right so we put more physique in cunning um also have enough spirit right no i'm still literally missing one spirit but we have one spirit now um there we go alright we can use this off hand now and we could put points to either grasping vines or just the pawns do not play around um you know what for now we just like put a point to not read maybe actually two the vader shadow is pretty nice debuff around you but honestly it's not that great or impact for early game dual blades you can use this if you want to like dual build of course uh you play this if you want to like play a code build or like you want to use lethal assaults buff later for a colder acid or like another build can convert the flat damage um what we're interested here is really only like pneumatic bursts like total speed shadow strikes movement ability um pierce resistance from armor as well as armor right later and then we kind of just want to like go for this and that's right these are like the big bleeding damage but it is an upgrade but you can really like see they're like super deep into the tree here so that might take a while to get there um which honestly means we could just like also wait with not play until we respect and just play like like as a pure shaman until then um so for example like let's try out the grasping ones right they're not gonna like deal an amazing job at only one point and it's also like more aoe right it's not really more single target damage if you want more single target damage you could also i guess just put more points of surgery around that's probably the best thing you can do here you can see like they do like negative damage right now the grasping ones yeah i guess like for single target you should just like pump your surgery right now and it's probably the best thing you can do right now when i'm rotating the camera you're so lost on the map i mean what can i say just don't get lost i mean just don't hit the camera when you're playing yourself though right i'm just like too used to rotating the camera honestly i'm sorry i can't really like help myself like i can't stop myself [Music] um also i guess we should put more pawns over the open spots because of energy reasons right you really have to yeah it was actually a mistake like putting the point in grasping once like we don't have the energy to like support it right now at all that was pretty bad let's go online and also i haven't like even bought a single pot which i should have yeah i'll just double two star rat like just bipods i mean that's what happened with savagery is doing a decent job right like just a plus two skills of savagery pretty nice [Music] all right we have our first totem now these totems are entirely optional and you can skip them right you can just not click on them if you're playing hardcore veteran it might be wise to not click on them um but if you are also playing a software like just click them right just always pick them don't have anything to lose about from like maybe some time if you don't but the loot is going to be amazing from these environments and uh yeah just let's just click them right these were spawn enemies from the faction that they told them is from right this is an ancient i mean forsaken south totem it's gonna like spawn um well mobs from the beast faction right from the savage beast faction and these mobs are not from act one necessarily as you can see right even though we are in act one we're spawning some like most from act two and three here as well so this can be a little graphic compared to everything else especially this early on but i mean just uh just don't die right i mean can always like go back and forth a bit like try to cut these guys but you have dots right you're playing a bleed build so you have nice dots you can just like hit them once and run away that's like the main benefit of like playing any dot builders like you have like the ability to kite everything also yeah i mean look at the look at the gear right that we got it's amazing you can have bleeding down from these pants and resistances and what is this belt yeah pierce and lightning rest as well pretty good gear right pretty decent now the problem is that i do need spirit right right this one gave me two spirits we could put another point here again to get that spirit that we need background and i guess we'd like to put pawns in the mud's pack here now now mcdonald's pack is one of those buff toggles and grondon has two skill bars actually you can like switch to like search between between the bars over here on this button or just like click whatever you have like a sanders to and then like i'd like to put all my balls like on one bar and the active skirts on the other bar so i'd like just click on all these buffs once when i like start the game and then switch back to my like the active skill bar yo what the can't work on workman so there's a shrine here right just pick it and we kill the wheel of the corrupter to complete the quest that we have here and which is held on a bus with a water pump and uh well to happen with the water pump we need to kill the source of [Music] uh obviously that even like contamination of the water pump and that's gone basically source of that so yep down he goes and we just throw away all these yellows honestly you could already like stop looking at yellows right now like once you have done like a totem and you get like lots of green gear and once you have like basically all your gear slots except for relic and metal filled out um you don't want to look at the stuff right like you don't need any of those and it's worth it to sell green items in this game for iron buds but it's really not worth it to like ever save or sell uh yellow items like yellow items are just literally trash on this game right and yeah they never really like become good so so another green ring here um this cost me spirit again that's [ __ ] terrible that's uh that's kind of unlucky actually what the [ __ ] all right let's go back to boulder bus and talk to them and get our bags a lot emerald component yeah those emerald components are really really good for the game honestly because i just like give you those like raw stats that you need to equip some gear sometimes i'm sorry and um yeah like the emerald is obviously terrible later but it's very very good again all right follow the road to burbidge i also have to find conspiracy apprentice and slay balros and hagra whoever those aren't um i really want to use this ring till i get insane resistances but i can't because of me not having a second emerald in my bag right now there are ways to like save your components and gear and like put them on other gear but for that you need the disappearance which we haven't found yet so until then we just need to like find a different uh emerald or the second emerald [Music] i was over here in the foggy bank right there um it's a vendor that can spawn that's being like held hostage modi slip also slither always like a great source of xp as you can see um i mean you can also just like equip it now because we have enough spirit from the shaman master bar and he has like the vendor has three small locations right one down here one here and then on one on the other side so you can just like check out all three locations and then you're gonna like guaranteed to find them yo envy imagine playing granddaughter imagine did you get your job by the way or do you not know yet are you gonna work as a teacher now pog all right there it is and spawn location number three there's also a another like sloth cave down here that you can explore if you want to um as uh i skipped this one but uh yeah if you are interested um check it out trying to check it out there is also another secret-ish spot we can check out i guess we also click on those totem lights already here and we like strong enough now we've already like defeated another totem so we can take this one on as well this one also as you can notice maybe was a just a savage totem not a forsaken savage totem there is like three tiers of totems right um just standard like no prefix basically and then there's like forsaken which are like the harder ones and then ancients which are the even harder ones right and then the second like word would describe which faction there um like from so savage as outside is like beast action what we have here that's more resistances right and we need more physique for us sure uh where am i going by the way wait was it here or was it no no you have to actually go from foggy bankrupt to it i went too far already if you go from the foggy bankrupt over here there's like a smallish secret area let's not turn the camera right so you can find it so this is [ __ ] bankrupt just like proceed west southwest also pick up all the stuff necklaces you can find here because you can hand them in for a pretty decent ring that could also help you out early game if you don't find like good green rings already from totems yo fletcher is welcome and you can go over here there's even another totem and there is also the stumpy red which is called i sex stash and this will always some loot including is exporters right which always are at least decent um i mean yeah my current ones aren't bad either honestly because i they give me spirit as well as stun rests on all damage all damage includes bleed damage but yeah once we have like some more pawns here for example we could just use those ice explorers right here we go and now you can already like see what's being used to have like more than just the basic bag uh sure this is let's do the heart of the wild i think i have like at least two rings that can be like bonus start of the wild now was it or two items it was only one maybe i'm just a big uh sure green gloves as well sure sounds good thunderstruck of the aether aether and elemental rust i mean you can really like see after doing like three totems you have like such insane gear like honestly these turtles are kind of [ __ ] game let's go back to the store uh let's get here you're gonna be playing soon enough hopefully your new computer jobs paneling background check good luck [Applause] all right devotion points let's get some more points of welcome [Applause] so honestly like the biggest difference um for normal difficulty as i said like or for the veteran difficulty rather is yeah it's kind of like sluggish early game making act one if you don't like just like sluggish start then just play without that run well once your build is like somewhat uh done then also veteran is gonna be a breeze honestly which for this build will happen also soon after act one actually i'm pretty sure like around level 20 25 maybe we're gonna basically probably start steamrolling the game because we're like doing what you should be doing right using the right skills and and so on what was saying listen yo ground zero welcome welcome i imagine using mimic tier against the right card right the boss is so easy like i think i fought him at like around levels 80 something like that and i mean i did i did die more than you yes but because it didn't die a single time but even without me make terror but like he's one of the easiest bosses so far like the weapon that you get i don't know where you can get that weapon honestly like i feel like the fight would be challenging if you didn't get the weapon but because of that weapon it's like so easy that serpent hunter we speak at last can you keep the weapon the the weapon you get from right like before reichard yeah you can keep it but it doesn't like keep its range it just becomes a standard metal weapon outside of that point just killed us going now um there was a bridge before the passage right that he could repair it is entirely optional just like allows you to skip this part and honestly skipping this part is not good at normal like it's it's not good skippers i mean you can skip it on higher difficulties sir at this stage of the game you just want to go here you want to like get the xp from all the stuff you want to get the shrine super important as well there we go all right let's put one point here one point here right uh these are gonna like stay one pointers i would say for quite a long time and when it comes to devotions well just what like point the car the [ __ ] get 20 counting there as well yo vend yes pokemon and thank you so much imagine not using mimic tier against every single boss dude i'm honestly so happy i'm not using someone's leg up that's seeing mimic tier tier i'm like yeah [Music] if i would play like if i would play that i would like feel like i'm getting cheated for my money i would refund the game if i played mimicked here i think i need more reps for more content yeah i mean if people want more reps they can just watch you play this game right that's true i guess if you're even streaming this you deleted condone after installing gstash yeah understandable i mean some people it always depends right like some people like to just throw out end game things and they don't care about leveling or like they don't care about the journey to get there and they just want to like check out the end game and that's it for other people like getting there easily kind of like ruins the sense of accomplishment and i cannot also i could understand that like to me also um like g stash kind of like ruined like the motivation to even play grand on because like yeah you can just like cheat your character and i mean yeah you can congratulations right but who are you really like cheating on in this game right the only i like the only person you're like cheating on in this game is yourself there's no like a real competitive aspect to this game um unless you're playing like the lad like the community seasons but i mean if you use gd stash on those you're just getting bound first so [Music] all right it's working now hopefully this okay yeah i mean it's like fun to like try it out once right but i don't know like to me these that just like becomes boring real quick [Music] cheetahs have a small little i mean as i said like in the end like just play whatever you want to play like how like play the game in whatever way you enjoy playing the game i enjoy playing this game mostly in the way it's intended to be played by the devs um because otherwise you lose like too much sense of progression anyway um [Music] let's just talk about the armor real quick right there are components that give you armor like skeleton plating if you put these on your belt they are six times as effective because bed armor is global armored whereas other armbars like low current we can do this for example by putting okay we like put for example you can put us on every single slot round but however if you like put it on the chest right you have 66 armor rating right now and uh 73 on chest and for example 73 on arms but if you put it here your average rating is only gonna go up by 4 because well your chest armor did to go up by 15 however all other slots didn't change at all right so it's like 88 on the chest and still 73 on the arms for example if you put it on the belt though it's going to change by 15 because all slots are getting plus 15 armor because well armor on the belt is global armor same thing actually for rings like there are some rings that have um armor as well however however there are no armored components that you can put on your rings right so just like component trick and quotation marks only works for the belt slot and nothing else so whenever you have like the the choice between putting a component that has armor on your belt or anywhere else always put it on the belt first uh oh yeah yeah we can we can't theory crown but hello to penalty later that's so dance all right bloody crystals have armor you're right blender you're right there there is a component that has armor for rings as well i'm lying you can also put it on actually on metal and i'm not running yeah it's an end game component like an endgame comfortable component you can use that like basically the same trick right but yeah early game you're not gonna get it you don't have to worry about that but you're actually right blender not bad imagine blocking a sword swing with a wedding ring rings have armor yep i mean yeah they do apparently exactly ben are you still banned in high kaisers right now or is your band lifted for the moment might be time my time to ban that play here as well all right um tale of two blacksmiths right anger and duncan honestly for this character it really doesn't matter who you signed with um for end game crafting angram is better but i mean your choice for end game cramping is only going to matter and ultimate i don't need a novel you can choose whoever you you like more i guess lore wise for the moment you're safe imagine thinking you're safe oh head hunter's trophy that seems like a complete item it is right 20 bleed that's the thing with these like blue items right like blue items are good and all right they're decent but usually their resistances aren't that amazing on the other hand hell still wants to take the damage right now you just put like the other armored here again right um so i mean after realizing that armor is only good on belt or like none like it's not good on these six slots right it's good on belt or like in rings but it's not good on these slots the question would be okay what do you put on these slots then right i mean you either want resistances or i guess health is okay and then they're also like two components to give you like percent armor absorption increase those are good as well because by default armor has only 70 effectiveness in this game i mean don't ask me why they haven't even done that like why this mechanic even exists it feels a little i don't know it feels like one of those mechanics that are that could be cut to be honest the armors operation mechanic but yeah by default whatever number you have in your armor is only 70 effective which means that well if you have 100 armor and get hit by under damage you don't absorb 100 damage but you only absorb 70 damage right um so you need to ideally get that armor absorption as close as possible to 100 and the easiest way to do that on a known soldier is gonna be um to like craft two certain components we're gonna do like soonish here i guess it's kind of lame yeah it's i mean it's it's like there i don't even like get it like lore wise or like reality wise like what is what is armor absorption even like trying to like represent in real life i don't get it yeah after like had other like debuffs and so on around that mechanic would be more interesting but there's not really that much like there's nothing actually there's literally only you getting the number from 70 to 100 on that satellite there's no other like interaction or mechanic in this game with armor absorption it's just so that the mechanics are same for enemies and yeah i mean for balanced reasons it makes sense right but but you could also just like hide it right i don't bottoms and mortars can be good uh sure yeah right produce a lightning bolt there's like a lot uh an item that converts water traps to lightning there are also items that convert or like there's one item as well that converts um store important to fire right but i think the metallus mouse has a role like that relating support and fire support that's been my favorite build in the past year um what have i played dude it's probably one of the league items remember the league builds maybe eighth or fourth wave that's pretty fun even though it's not really like that creative to be honest or i mean from the recent patch the cold doom bolt is really fun and the pierce ages of many is really fun but i mean those are like from this year right from last year um what else have i played last year i mean i played like an avenger of water in season two last year which was this news fest but it's really really really strong if you want to like play like a relaxing af cable then that's pretty good all right um we just have to clear this village right like clear this roof gate in the village rather we than go back like any time and craft already like some components at the smoke but i feel like that's to try hard for act one right and like the average beginner player isn't gonna do it anyway right so let's not do it here either but you can already do it right like once you rescue the smoke you could go back and like start crafting components for your gear which is always good but you don't really need it for act one either let's just do it after defeating wooden creek here next one yeah yeah honestly i just like got another blades the problem with fantasma blades though is that it does need a lot of energy as well and i kinda am struggling with energy right now i think it's better because and you can always like put more points about organs packed right like get more energy region and moderate pound it's fine and against one creek i guess maxing out to be would be pretty nice as well yeah that's good from the veteran act one is always kind of slow right and veteran is a little bit zoomier later as well like once you get your build going but the next one is always slow act one is always a slog on the trend list just use energy components i mean you really don't have anything like one you only have like polish emeralds and that's it all right so you don't have any ectoplasm in the next one you get active plasma neck seven or neck too but not the next one so you can't really use ectoplasm let's go down here right let's try this one out this might be a little rapidly like these faster these layers on that one there can be a little ripping it's not too bad though apparently like decent armor and decent resistances but this can be kind of rippy and they're also sometimes delay the reactivation of it to well heal yourself right it's kind of finicky to like have this up but also ready to heal yourself and some people don't like this mechanic but you have to like have a buff and the healing ability in once ago i actually think it's not too bad and it does always like put you under like a strategic pressure in a way like you have to like think about do you have to do i want to hear now or do you want to like um i'll use the like reapply the buff and stir it i think it's pretty decent pretty well made i also found a blood sail right this one is giving us some bleeding damage as well a unique bleeding ring and also we got a soldier's ribbon and saw warding uh is that really any better than a menacing one right now i mean eighth resistance is technically more important than characters in act one so we should use that instead right what am i doing here and then we can also use the blood seal instead of the i'll say instead of the light bringers of celerity right that seems fine all right and then we can also like put some more of these here oh although we have a new new cab right uh the new cab doesn't have any energy agenda right just put polished emeralds everywhere then i mean potter's emeralds give me spirit which gives me also regen away so i guess it's fine like this [ __ ] micromanagement i think it's actually not too bad like once you get used to to this it's fine oh yeah talking about devotions and their actors right um these orange or like red notes right and the devotion in these like devotion what i even call like symbols star symbols whatever um constellations you can attach these to skills right either to active skills or some of them you have to like attach to passive skills and then the skill that you have this attached to is will have a chance to practice right to proc the ability of the devotion tree it's pretty cool kind of like a like cast on hit thing right there we go around these yellow things are just like yeah these are the falcons from the pike and devotion which did additional like bleeding damage and some physically as well pretty fun for the stage of the game at least three i can spawn flash hulks and amalgamations mobs from basically like three and four and they heard a lot right they heard a lot a lot a lot and you probably don't do enough damage for these guys the stage of the game so unless you kite them a lot and perfectly then you might just follow and dying however we are playing a bleeding bird right so we can kite we can also like abuse the leash range of these mobs i guess in a way they're gonna like reset after some time anyway here and like walk back like this guy right there right so yeah even though this is super rippy we will still be able to just clear this totem without buying around it's just gonna take a while but yeah if you're playing hardcore veteran yourself and you're new to this game you should probably not click understatement unless you want to experience death or near death i guess oh yeah let's spawn more mobs of course yep these are the flash hawks yep this is the ram ranch basically yeah don't get it but these like aether overhead smashes for example the charge is already like pretty bad but it doesn't actually do that much damage i think at least not the stage of the game yeah this is also like a situation where using phantasmal blades would be better than using celery or not right i even have like bonus points for that interesting but yeah if you manage to defeat us again you will get a [ __ ] on a through um skeletons if you don't play the boring swarm as an initial debuff front and even if you even if you play a bliss person you're gonna suffer through skeletons if you don't play the world swarm right because of the bleed resistance production i ask you um but yeah the plan is to go to act seven after creek here because yeah x7 does give us that pretty good shield you can easily farm as well in like like star effect 7. the only gentleman pokemon pokemon except for the following early monster tournaments are not if you're starting an elite or maybe ultimate yeah that's true i mean for right it's fine you want to prepare like your devotions for what you want to play later but other than that you can basically play whatever damage time you want through it it's totally fine i guess we'll play bad next all right falcon and doubt i like the first two tier one bleeding like bleeding damage divorces we want to play here i mean i got single target this is also gonna be like totally fine i think because like we're just applying our bleed with pb applying bleed with savagery applying bleed with like delorean swarm other than that just like run around in circles like that's totally fine right might not be the quickest kill of course but it's not gonna be fine the other thing would like yeah i mean as i said right if you want to like spam for doesn't place for example you can't like um like you can't put as many points on the first skill because you need to conserve your energy and if you put many points on your first skill and you can't conserve your energy right properly uh one quick stage two has got abilities you want to dodge right he has like this medi stomp um this one right you want to dodge this one then you kind of want to like walk back in but also you want to like dodge that and also when you use this crossbow right you don't want to get hit by the projectors of the crossbow and you kind of you can kind of like cheese this crossbow by like standing always close to him apart from like when he uses the stomp right still got hit too long um and if you do that then he's never going to use the crossbar right because he like only used the crossbow like long range i keep getting hit up there what the [ __ ] have i even played this game well that's not a zero hit around this for sure but i mean yeah it gets the job done right it doesn't play to get gets the job done here might not be the most efficient to like play b at this point as people have said in shot but it gets the job done right you can't play bleed yo from mars welcome dumb question perhaps but bleed damage is a set damage take per uh um uh no they don't take more dash when they move before we i mean there are like several ways to apply bleed in this game right you can like talk about this really quickly you can this works for all the dots the same way right you can stack dots from different skills um using the same skill again will only refresh that dot right so if you're like using the boring swarm and this form is like still on the enemy using it a second time will only refresh the duration and not add more damage right um so if you want to like for example get lots of blue downs you can like use the word swarm and then like add some blades on top and then you have like two different like bleeding dots stacking um if you are using a skill that has main hand damage or like any kind of weapon damage then um it would also apply all sources of flat bleeding damage you have on your weapon and on your gear right um i mean there's none here in the street right now but there's for example on the weapon right the weapon has 27 bleeding down over three seconds um the belt has actually no flat bleeding damage is that all i had right now like only on the weapon it might be all i had right now right um so this 27 being down to over three seconds right gets multiplied by whatever main hand damage percentage your skill that you're using has like by 1.08 in this case um and then that is like you're bleeding [Music] damage that's sticking on the enemy that's like coming from your um like weapon damage if you're using another ability as well that also has main hand damage for example if you were like using promise trying right this one has a 110 million dodge this one has 108 million damage if you use both on the enemy you are not getting 218 percent maintenance like of your like worth of your bleeding down should you have you are only getting a hundred and ten percent like the whole the highs will apply and this flat weapon damage cannot stack because it's like considered as one source right it's like the same thing as if you like applies like a skill like this which has beating damage twice um so two different skills that have percent weapon damage will not apply like they are like flat believe damage um they won't like stack the flat weapons beating down should you have right it won't like be applied once which is why generally if you're playing your bleeding ball right you want like lots of different abilities that have like bleeding damage of course um they also need to have like purple values of course otherwise they might not be able to deal that much damage for example like grasping wines has pretty bad bleeding damage um i mean you can use it still but it's like not that great um and then you also want one ability at least that has a decent amount of weapon that's right so then you want like one ability that has like huge maintenance damage and all the other abilities don't have any maintenance damage whatsoever but only like um like bleeding damage on the skull itself not like the world swarm or grasping lines or uh circles slow at the right all these have like bleeding damage and you want like one ability that has like higher weapons like savage real promise right for example that like apply that um flat bleeding damage from your like from all other sources right from your weapon for devotions from your gear and so on but i mean if you don't have like high flats being damaged on your weapon or your devotions and so on anyway then i guess that main hand dodge part doesn't matter that much anyway not i mean that's just like the way it works right and uh you have to like build around out and if you build around that and you it will like optimize your build right of course like other games do those like differently and this is how grand dawn does it you can like it or hate it it's just the way it is anyway um we have defeated act one basically right we have also um the ability to like craft components at the smith now um i was talking about armor earlier right what you want to do basically for leveling to get like a decent amount of armor absorption is just like to craft two scaled side two scaled heights and then put them into for example your pants or your shoulders or your chest and then you're going to get to 98 percent 98 is usually like good enough right it's not 100 but it's good enough and yeah just use some other components here and there right to be found i don't know like something here something there and so on and so on we also have the inventor now which means we can retrieve components from our gear right if you found like a better gear piece we want to keep the component that we have craft because it wasn't like you know um expensive then we can just go to the vendor i mean to the inventor and swap that component right or like keep the component destroy the item in this case i'm gonna like destroy the component on this handle trophy right i want to keep the item and put a solid whoops a celebrity here instead which gives me well actually even more armor than the scavenger plating there and on top of that also 20 pause in restaurant so components are a nice way as well to boost your resistances now after this act you can either go into act seven if you own the forgotten knowledge dlc right or you can like proceed into act two over on the bridge side here uh we're gonna go to forgotten gods x7 because this area this act has an item that i wanna use and farm for this build it's a shield that you can get from the like um beetles in this area so we're gonna like farm a certain beetle i guess until we get the item and that's what we're gonna use here actually very similar to the aura pattern that i've played as well like a year ago just this time we're like looking for the other shield right yo rio dora welcome could you explain um what arm absorption does exactly um so by default you have seventy percent right which is the wrong guy by default you have seventy percent um so whatever your value you have here only has 70 effectiveness right so um if you have a hundred armor but you only have seventy percent arm absorption and you get hit by a hundred physical damage you will only absorb 70 and you will still take 30 damage if you have 100 absorption then you would take zero damage now then you might think well this is just like a multiplier right so basically 70 hour with a hundred percent absorption is just as good as 100 armored 70 absorption it's actually not true because 70 armor with 100 absorption is even better than 100 armor with 70 absorption and here's why um if you get hit by 50 armor i mean by 50 physical diamond right you have a hundred armor but only 70 absorption you get hit by 50 physical damage um you will still take 30 of that 50 physical damage because you only have 30 percent i mean you only have 70 absorption so you will still take uh 15 downtrend you would absorb 35 and take 15. you also found explorers trousers blueprint which is one of the blueprints you can use here at the smith to crowd items and these are actually insane right these like give you um experience gain poison rust and so like if you find these just craft them i guess um on the other hand i've also found these which are arguably just as good or even better [Music] so like two insanely good like pants to choose from here i don't even know which one to take here honestly probably explores though not sure whereas if you have 70 armor right and 100 effectiveness and you get hit by 50 physical damage you will take zero damage right so like the only way to get like to zero damage taken on a physical attack that hits you that deals less or equal damage to the amount of armor that you have is by having 100 absorption right if you have sub 100 absorption you would always take that missing percentage of um your absorption as a percentage of the hit that you're being hit by rent tldr always get 100 yeah that's like kind of the tldr i mean [Music] 98 percent for the most of like for most of the time is like for most of the games also fine especially on the olympics if i have 150 armor here and 98 absorption i get hit by like i don't know 100 damage i will take night i will only take two damage right and like absorb 98 of it which is fine like it's like last two percent is not impactful anyway but yeah if you want to take zero damage um then you need 100 armor which only works against like smaller hits anywhere if you have a thousand armor and you could hit like by 2 000 damage physical damage in one hit um even if you have 100 absorption right you're still obviously gonna take another thousand dollar restaurant because you only have a thousand armor and armor only absorbs like a flat amount of the head that you're getting hit by so yeah tldr 100 absorption is good but armor always is like only good against um it's like good against shotguns it's good against like mob swarming you like hitting you with like lots of smaller attacks um but it's not really like good against like single chunky hit spot like trolls or stuff like that yeah okay i mean the streamer luck continues right you can you can just like go into this area like hit the first pack and get the shield you want what is this oh my god i'm gonna show you the area where you actually should usually have to form this item all right so you go to corbin plateau you go to the first drift gate uh you can't skip the totem honestly like we're not that strong right now let's not waste our time with the totem here our damage is kind of merit now right as you can see which means we do need this item um so you go to this right you get this portal because it's gonna be like where you're gonna port every time you reset your session when you farm and then there is an area well if you have the map like this right standard then you go like southwest but you don't go like up here or you don't go up here you go between the two right and there is like yeah it's like west actually just west there's an area that's like not really marketing math right between these uh like go through here you will get these lower notes here and you can drop down into this like beetle hole red maggot hole and you can like farm all of these get all of these beetles here outside they have a small chance to drop the shield uh i did get it from these small guys right i don't know how even it managed to get that then you can also like go down into the cave here and like found the mobs here and there's a boss here that has a pretty decent chance to like drop the shield like a way better chance to drop the shield than these guys so generally you will probably get your shield from the boston of these like smaller mobs i'm just doing this to like see how do the receiving us like how long this is under here more good rotting he has a fixed location he always spawns on this corner of the map um this might be actually kind of annoying to do right without like with a setup right now maybe a little weak i saw the mobster like what the [ __ ] i mean getting all of them was fine for like xp and you really want to make sure to like hit the boss with the fantasma blades right and not the other night guys because your pedestal blades like this with the current setup doesn't have any like pierce like any pass through so do you want to hit the boss and not the other stuff yeah this is kind of awesome all right i guess you could like use another block to follow this guy maybe you're like proud strike just promise strike i don't know just use a 200 pound strike maybe i mean you'll figure it out right he's gonna it's gonna take a while to die here at least in veteran if you're like playing non-veteran honestly you could just like play non-veteran like farmer's car on normal and then he will have a chance to drop one of the two shields right there's the shell and the carapace you're looking for the shell this is the one that i was using on the um auradon right the aurora pattern and the other one is the one that we're going to use here in the trickster so yeah i mean yeah if you if you don't get the [ __ ] from this guarantee just reset the session and then you can like it's like the only way to like make enemies respawn this game and then you have like a fresh session and then you go to this portal and then you found the government um anyway we already have the shield there so we're just gonna use it right just use this just use the shield there we go and the shield um well gives you more bleeding damage to the bronx form to blade spurts and also reduces enemy vision resistances right additionally on the boring sword another bleeding item like a bleeding gun that you can get from certain vipers in this act we could either farm that or just proceed with the act two right um i also don't have enough scrap what the [ __ ] do you have to like buy scrap from the vendor again i guess so and we could like see how how the damage is right and if it's not good enough then we can like sell from the gun you would found the guns veteran maybe buy moving speed augment uh yeah you could also do that right like there's a movement speed augment called the knuckle traveler which you can't find at this point but if you don't find it there's also a chance you can buy it from i think only luther graves but he doesn't have it so we can't buy it or that's the forgotten guardsman there also do that oh yeah you talk about the rune yeah of course of course of course that's like reason number two why you're like always should go to forgotten goals and every single character basically and at least do the first quest and then like sign with a fraction of your choice um is to buy a movement augment right for some reason i decided with the solo i guess for some reason i don't know why but yeah we can like use this rush argument that's not not that bad right that's fine it's a fine moment you can put us in your metal you have a skill in your bar down right i guess rush and you can like move a little bit quicker round that like bleeding down from one skill doesn't doesn't stack right since blade spirit is a pet um the bleeding damage of these pets will stack because it's two different paths using that bleeding damage right so yeah i'm kind of like use cuts to cheat bleeding damage does that work with rr too uh i don't think there's any pet that uses rr is there that has r i mean i don't i don't think that i could work like it can't stack um death stalker yeah but you can't have like two death circles right you can only have one if you can't you can't like stack that i guess also that stalker like applies a debuff right it's not an attack it applies a debuff around it and like debuffs are like a different story again because like every even for like two pets have the same debuff right like debuffs can't stack like they like if it's different debuffs of course they can snack but if it's the same debuff it doesn't matter which source it is from it always doesn't stack yeah because it's like a debuff type yeah it's true like guardians of imperium for example have an aurora it has a resistance reduction and that one doesn't snack same thing right as it is an aura around them like it is a like with all damage types if you find an enemy that is resistant against the democrat you need a skill that reduces the resistances and in this case we have the spirits for the damage and the warring swarm for the resistance production right we have not that much right now we only have like nine percent of the skill itself but like another time from the shield so like 19 bleeding resistance reduction which is good enough for now right that's fine i mean undead is just worst case because like meet them so early right and yes if you didn't have like any debuff ability right now to like reduce the resistances then yeah that's what suck right but you you play you play the well damage together with the debuff and then you're fighting you don't have any rr from devotion that is point yeah that's true that is true and even if you have rr i mean yes you reduce the resistances but you don't like suddenly make them like a ball by the damage chamber it's still gonna take a while it's gonna take like a little bit longer than like against other enemies of course [Music] this is only chocolate certainly immune without rr is it though what about like elemental like what about the arcanas so like the korok guys that have like elemental resistance gear on them that can like roll up to like 200 percent their meta resistances like isn't that like literally immune as well without shadow strike like if you get them in act one right while like going through act one then sure like use them one percent um but if you don't find them which is probably more likely that you don't find them um farm gonna vaccinate seven and start running for gods you can like ignore all the quests and forgotten goals just like go straight for the desert and uh like farm gonna have a current you don't have to like do anything on the single cross is needed to enable like farming gun of a car you can find them in the first part of hidden path yeah but isn't that like higher level than ganavakar like what level is hidden path on act one and normal or maybe it's not that high of a level i don't know but i think it's rippier than farming gonna work or maybe it's i don't know i haven't done it in a long time like try early hidden paths and yeah as an upgrade you have at least as a dual build now play right you have pretty battery so like you don't wanna like full clear everything you only want to like kill quest mobs and maybe like some packs that are like easy to cook for you but you never want to like kill packs for which you need like good aoe and so on i guess do we dump it at hand honestly like these bleeding components they don't do that much right for you so what you can also craft is you can also use components that give you resistances right you can use components that give you all ross like purified salt or imbued silver but you can also put in your weapons or shield for example which have toggles which again you can put on here right eighth award and voidboard these will give you ether and chaos resistance on their respective auras as well pretty nice pretty nice uh now we don't need dust right we don't need or do we but it's still like better overall because of like the nah no way right the x has 61 bleeding damage because of the off blood suffix if it didn't have the off-blood suffix then this one would still be better at the blood reaper's claw also the metal you find from the guys from the arena right the brawler's distinction if you want like you know more cc resistances you can just use this right away it's honestly not too bad right here right the stand was especially pretty nice which is why you should always have like multiple of these augments ready in your stash like when you go to forgotten guards and buy these might as well just like buy multiple already um because then you can like reapply this instantly around also mark the traveler and your boots ruin us and then we put i don't know what we put here like corpse dust there blood or dryad it's like healing you from devotions and so on and so on but even with that like it's not as good as like other bills that can just like heal actively with my glass steal sean is too strong for bleed um i mean shaman doesn't have like any actual strong bleeding abilities it only has the debuff right [Music] but yeah debuff that has run to the warren swamp is pretty good right it enter here and then they're like one or two others as well um so make sure to not go into the one that is marked on the map go to the other one right you want to go to blood bars layer first because there are two quests right kill blood briar and kill on goldilocks and the gold x is going to be in the other cave however um if you just like go through blood bros lair you're gonna enter angoliax's cave after this one anyway so there's like no reason to ever like enter the rolex's cave from the outside unless you for some reason like when i farm on goldilocks and not like not doing this quest right the scales needs eight yellows this one needs eight yellows this one needs fifteen purple and twelve green this one also needs fifteen performance you want fifteen purple twelve green and eight yellows that's kind of like what you want to aim for also three red at least for huntress um now i was like have a theater craft like prepared here and we need to like get some filler devotions i think next year we can like start with the night tottenham for example to get some purples right we just go for all to like reduce the damage that we take when we get reflected right like when the blue damage gets reflected so all is pretty good has like very nice stuff for dots in general we could go for lion um to like start working on the yellows hmm i think just getting to milk jogging is like the best thing right so we go for something like owl and then knight talon and quill for example to get the greens as well yeah [Music] and then for additional ingredients maybe the lotus as well yeah fox is also good for bleed in general i don't think it fits the spell that well though um i think once like first of all for like some efficiency reasons and second of all because like the flat bleed and flat last is generally better on a bit that uses like heavy weapon damage for like bleed application for example like for blade arc that should be way better than for what i'm doing right
