I hate rocks I hate rocks I really hate rocks I'm Tony Fast and my family's been blessed to be able to farm in Montana for over a hundred years now a lot has changed in those hundred years and it wouldn't be possible without the great team we have and blessings from our Savior Jesus Christ [Music] well we ended up around eight nine ten serene so we got truck we got our trucks mountain load and then I'm gonna send this truck to town to go pick up some screenings that we had cleaned out of some lentils from last year so go dump this truck and keep going what today's work baby blood this figure down yesterday afternoon because of the rain that was coming and hope you have some strong winds that might tip it over so I said back up on the auger throughout the Eikenberry back up on the bin and dump a couple of trucks and it's raining again but we're done with the narrow skinny tires so it's time to go put the white bullets on so we didn't do some fall springing but the narrow ones on in the summer so if we have to go do any budget side work or if we have have to go do any desiccating to kill some weeds in some of the crop which is rare we rarely do that then we don't drive down too much crop so now that that thread of that or the need for that is over we are these other wide tires on and then there is a wall burned down got the NASCAR tryouts going this morning [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music] [Applause] I want to go up to see if we can get trucks into the combines that roads pretty sticky up there normally when it's wet it could be soft so guess we can use a green card if we have to oh really nice straight well then she make getting trucks in and out of here fun this is gonna make cutting challenging I don't think we're gonna be able to cut up here because we got too many water holes along the road ended up about twice as much rain as they're forecasting so might be moving combines out to home they cut their instead so not really sure just trying to check out the roads right now and figure out what to do well it's just too wet up here on the road we're gonna move combines home we can cut around there I think and go from there cuz we'll be back up here in a couple days he'll play doesn't rain anymore but there is like a tenth of an inch rain in the forecast which does it seem like much but when the grounds this wet will hold us back a little more so I'm gonna go move this combine up to the header trailers take the header off and hopefully those guys will be up here pretty quick and will I get the other combine and cart on the road get out of here how do you suggest we find this can another need to find you can buy those on eBay [Music] why's it operate in China may be onto something [Music] you go out get away with making your own - they'll have to find use like Constantine what's this only take us up like that that would be sweet bananas black powder taking pieces doing freelancer I think you should stop talking on the radio you brought this up [Music] not on the broadband I did hello everybody listening well we're comin home one of the combines in the gun to the yard and I draw a leak on it there was a pinhole and a steel line so they got that pulled off picked up the hose in town that was supposed to fix it at the wrong ends on it for this way to tack welded it we'll see if it holds but another header on that compound here in a minute and gonna give it a shot but that storms coming again chats ringing - good night so cut and good right now we do have a massive buck weed in here and it is not I did I wish wish we get rid of the stuff somehow we've tried all kinds of different things and it might just come to platon piece later which we don't want to do because it have to beat the heat for flowering but if we wait a little longer and spraying them with ground up that might be our only option in the future so I know if well hope first in your chemical that would work to be safe on a piece that will kill the buck would be a great great great benefit to us but right now we're just going to have to use some other crops on these fields to take care of that know how much so far so good looks like he's running these clouds aren't looking at my promising kind of going north of us but all this stuff down here it kind of just keeps on built in so that is a funky looking cloud we're not making our baby dust anymore we have moisture other keys it starting to come up so we're going to get back by the yard there and shut down for the night get to jump where the bees get tough the plants get tough out there they don't break down real easy when I get into the rotor the rotor is what separates all the trash is the seeds out of the pods and when that rotor can't thrash a Malka that's tough okay residue will fill up the modules leaf on canes and the slots and the peas will normally fall through will plug off and we can't get any we can't get the seed to fall through so it goes on the back of the comm line so we're kind of growing along really slow right now I'm just trying to get back to the yard for now we'll make this offer as we can we're always been here for what eight weeks now dilates Savannah do see like nine weeks ago I guess but Rob's also here from Southeast Community College on an internship but his internship is up on Friday but he has a stat he's gonna stick around at least to harvest so that's how full and he's going to get back to his farming where Wallace Wallace Wallace Nebraska so he's in the other case guy so it works out good but I wouldn't have hired him if he was a giant Erie guy hi Nick all right Nick do things maintenance wise to go over we got both combine through the shop as well as a swather when I heard a tick last night at my future chain so I'm gonna run it backwards here now and see if I can't figure out what's going on I can see it from the cab or I'll have one of the guys check it out both boys well we're just gonna take the header off because it's way easier to get to that bar that way so we're playing look at the air gun yeah so this can be straightened in the press or get around back and see if we got one back on hold future change just take one off we'll put that on this dead yeah right back coming back to this should be some way in on that right next to that flat bottom bin that goes from a rock that hate rocks I hate rocks I really hate rocks the cameras recording let's go cut some peas again think all the humidity and dew is dried up so the neighbor over there he's making dust let's go make some - - [Music] [Applause] [Music] different colored spots for the rest of the field here these are all spots without heavy rain that drowned out the bees were already fairly tall so that's why there's some peace out here but there's no no actual peace and the plants just the plants are merry so we're just kind of cleaning them off so it easy to get through next spring just kind of shred it up with the combine yeah you can see where it gets really nice and thick on the edge where it didn't drowned out but it had all that extra moisture and then it just turns into what the rest that feels like kind of weedy really need to figure out how to get rid of those buckwheat and peas like maybe not plant peas anymore I don't know rather try some different timing it didn't to feel a little later maybe even get that buck we killed pre plant with a sprayer or something like that but that is our biggest challenge right now in the pulse raising bees that went off any of the pulse crops is that our while luckily it's on every field but the fields that are veterans on it's a real challenge I see a delivery coming wonder what it is I bet it's tasty for me battle work thank you it's 9:30 wait earlier than we normally shut down would it seem but I'll be doing so with the ring we had earlier this week these babies coming up pretty high in the night so we're shut down maybe tomorrow read later there's rain in the forecast again so what's hop I guess so more sunshine and winds blowing bet you get cutting here pretty quick who is gonna run green car today who's gonna dump trucks we got three options Indian leg wrestle regular arm wrestle I'll get four thumb wrestle or rock paper scissors or you can go figure I like to go to men wait now what are you doing [Laughter] he'll pick up the header another big rock throw that one out here in the bastard don't want love there calm but again wow that's a good one alright yeah so now he's gonna joke for you know why big lover let's go on these also Clark work try erase whiteboard markers make work boss of my class where we got your Natalie yeah wait for the green card to come on load oh yeah I'm so tired of Gophers I just went like 30 feet and got into another one we're on our last the other piece here at home and maybe acre field after this I'm planning on going combines out we're gonna put the Queen donkeys and English icons of wonder we we do have the quarter section of these back up north to finished up with the boat we figure we'll cover when are we here go up there cut those bees and then we're gonna head over to the east side of the farm and cut that when are we dere so Beggs it's back and forth a little bit to finish up at these but they're just gonna make it that much quicker with moving and then having to move twice and all that so it's a plan last feel easier told mobile almost done here we got all the piece off heading back to the yard so we can get some concave changed out I'm gonna try cuttings what are we [Music] they took these Colin caves out they are they call large wire and they're big but the piece come out because it beat the peas are so big these are what we put in a lot smaller gal for their wheat come out did a little seven acre field already seen seen it beer on it right so we're gonna go jump into a quarter section here now before it rains again [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
