Holy Canola-e

I'm here switch to canola [Music] [Applause] I'm Tony fast and my family's been blessed to be able to farm in Montana for over a hundred years now a lot has changed in those hundred years and it wouldn't be possible without the great team we have and blessings from our Savior Jesus Christ [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] seven-thirty ones about 1:30 this morning we shut down drill and a sprayer so I had a few things to do this morning at home like sleep and upload a few files to fbn but there go open get a trek emptied out so that we can get a little fertilizer delivered then I'm gonna go back to Steven canola as you can see we're getting a little bit of a sprinkle little shower going through and it's always a don't let my doing stuff is that too much the problem is we get moisture in the atmosphere any like green they get sucked into our fans those fans are what pushed the fertilizers through the drill and if we get too much moisture you'll get buildup in the fertilizer and you'll start to plug all your hoses like everyone is little towers it looked like those spiders back there and they can get a they get plugged up and it is no fun to clean those out so about two hundred yards from the end of the field I'm going to stop it let the storm go by before I can't see it anymore but there is clear skies which it take too long that didn't last long you'll see it again stuff get the windows we were doing Macy you guys started by what's nice for me [Music] they do it down there Leah yeah good busywork yourself [Music] what people might recognize hill farms that's right hit up and blue over there [Music] storms a-comin so it's not on now now I'm talking no no no that's off it's bacon red it's on hey now where do you do it [Music] you're recording us Justin I got the truck ampere let loose little sleet or hail and even well we got just enough a little shower to make the top of the ground stick their shoes well we did get enough fertilizer on before the rain hit we're trying finishes fielding right see I had a Packer not turning so I stopped to fix that and notice my C's dad wasn't on whoops what I found now that is a catch don't think I've ever even been that lucky in horseshoes nice little brothers while this field is plenty buddy I caught a shower last night so I'm going to go out and check seed and make sure that it's not buds not sticking to the fact there's too much of wholeness eat back out of the ground so let's go check it out see how much mud stick into the tires and our Packers we might have to wait a while let's go let's go dig for some seed [Music] right there little blue seed in the ground about 3/4 do a half an inch a half inch and three quarters of an inch I should say see how many more we can find here [Music] they are super tiny there was one I passed it let's check for fertilizer so the fertilizer is deeper and to the side there's one that was in cooking oil right there down there perfect placement right now let's check another one so there's the undisturbed dirt right there do that these canola seeds are there should be about seven of them per foot but they are really hard to find it was one super wet forecasts for more rain the end of the week think I'm is gonna keep seeding a plenty shallow but we get some rain they should they should kind of silt in the furrows a little more [Music] well I just finished the non GMO canola drill is all cleaned out now it's time for some Roundup Ready canola I'm going to set up the crane we're going to drop 2,000 pounds of canola seed in the drill hopefully not drop it drop it into jail I hope I didn't just change myself [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] well that is it for the canola here on this farm I am ready to move up north into the hills then I'll be the next episode of seating up there on that farm it's pretty crazy pretty hilly for pretty nuts for farming it but thanks for watching please like and subscribe god bless and have a great one catch you later [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you
