Ikebukuro is an entertainment district and subculture town that caters primarily to Japanese people. It has good access to other parts of Tokyo and is crowded with many young people. It is also a city where foreigners can enjoy Japanese popular culture. This time, I would like to introduce you to some of the things you can do when you come to Japan, as well as Japanese culture that will stimulate your interest. I hope this video will inspire you to visit Ikebukuro. Location: Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan When sightseeing in Ikebukuro, start at Ikebukuro Station. Ikebukuro Station is a major station for five railway companies, so there is a lot of foot traffic. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to use the IKEFUKURO in the basement of Ikebukuro Station to meet people. It is located in a location with good access to Ikebukuro's main street, and is underground so it is not affected by the weather. Now, I will introduce useful places and interesting things from the places near the station. The first place I will introduce is Bic Camera Ikebukuro main store. Bic Camera is a famous electronics retailer in Japan, located in major cities and in front of train stations. As I will introduce later, in addition to home appliances, they also carry a wide variety of unexpected items. An overview of the store is posted near the entrance. This store has 8 floors. This is one of the largest stores in Tokyo. Speaking of Bic Camera, this theme song is indispensable. Lyrics vary depending on the store. The theme song for this Ikebukuro store has been recently renewed. By the way, part of the melody uses a phrase from the hymn "Shall We Gather at the River." Batteries, SD cards, etc. are sold on the first floor. On the second floor, smartphone-related products, earphones, headphones, etc. are sold. Mobile batteries and USB memory are also on sale for emergencies. There are also batteries that can be charged by sunlight, so please consider purchasing one as a souvenir. On the third floor, large LCD TVs from Sharp and Toshiba are displayed. This store also have sizes larger than 70 inches, so please take a look. Meanwhile, in the basement, there are items for sale that are not typical of an electronics shop. Various masks and medical supplies, Basic cosmetics such as lotions and milky lotions Cosmetics such as mascara and foundation There are also branded perfumes. Also, for some reason, when it comes to alcohol, they have a very wide selection of sake, wine, whiskey, spirits, etc. Relatively major brand sake Wine Scotch whiskey Black Bottle recently won an award at WWA, and their popularity has suddenly increased. Bourbon whiskey japanese whiskey Taiwanese Whisky Other types of vintage whiskey Sake snacks are displayed. (Canned food is especially delicious!) This store also sell wine cellars. There are only a few BIC Camera stores that sell alcohol, but the Ikebukuro main store has a lot on display. It's a 1-minute walk from the station, so I think it's a good idea to stop by on your way home from sightseeing and buy your favorite alcoholic beverage. The next store I'll introduce is Animate Ikebukuro store. Animate is a store specializing in Japanese anime character goods and is located in every prefecture in Japan. Among them, the Ikebukuro store is the first one. This store is always running large-scale collaboration campaigns with the latest anime. A large display near the entrance shows information about ongoing events. Animate has a bright atmosphere and I think it's a good place to casually experience Japanese anime. Let's get into it. On the first floor, there are collaboration shops and limited-time item shops. Life-sized PVC Ultraman Seven dolls are so nostalgic. Use the escalator to go to the upper floor. On the second floor, the latest issues of all comics are displayed. All volumes of the manga OSHI NO KO, whose theme song IDOL is now famous worldwide, are on display here. This store also sell artwork from all kinds of anime and manga. You'll be lucky if you can find something that's out of print. There is also an art book for ELDEN RING, probably one of the best action RPG games. If you like that world view, please buy it. On the third floor, previously published manga from various publishers are on sale. Items ranging from new to relatively old are displayed. This store also have a large selection of light novels. On the same floor, special products based on the volleyball-themed series ``Haikyuu'' were on sale for a limited time. There are many goods on display that are studded with the character's image colors and characteristics. On the stairs, an introduction to famous anime currently being aired is printed all over the wall. This is where completely different works are introduced for each layer. By the way, it is tax exempt. If you see something you like, buy it. On the 4th floor, permanent character goods are mainly sold. CHIIKAWA is now very popular with some people. There are also many Kimetsu no Yaiba goods. I think there were a little more Kimetsu no Yaiba goods than other works. Albums of anime theme songs and character songs are on sale on the 5th floor.Popular songs are in heavy rotation in the store. People with goods in hand are lining up at the cash register. Everyone is buying it. The 6th floor is a special venue where a limited-time exhibition of female vtuber groups is being held. The exhibition partition also serves as a message board, where visitors leave many messages. So many... You can really tell that a lot of thought is put into each message. If you are interested in Japanese anime and manga, please stop by Animate. (You can find it in other big cities besides Ikebukuro, so be sure to look for it in advance.) Also, as shown in the advertisement in the video, it looks like a cosplay Halloween party will be held in the fall. If you have a chance to visit Japan when the event is being held, I think it will be a great souvenir to participate. Next up is Cafe ZUPPA, where you can enjoy authentic pancakes and coffee. There are tables both inside and outside the restaurant, so you can enjoy your meal wherever you like. The signboard describes the store's commitment to its products. The interior of the store is based on white, creating a modern and calming atmosphere. Today's recommended menu is posted on a whiteboard in front of the cash register. Among them, I recommend the course that includes your favorite pancakes and set coffee. An iced cafe latte was served first. Iced coffee tastes great, especially when the weather is hot. You can drink it as is and feel the contrast between the milk and coffee, or you can mix everything together from the beginning, which is up to you. About 20 minutes after ordering, freshly baked pancakes were served. The smell of roasted wheat is very appetizing. Also, for the seasoning, I chose a simple and delicious maple syrup. Since the pancakes are large, I put a knife inside the pancakes so that I can eat the appropriate size. I can't get enough of this crispy texture. My pancakes were baked with additional mozzarella cheese kneaded inside. The pancakes themselves contain almost no sugar, so you can enjoy the flavor of the wheat and cheese ingredients. Of course, you can also add maple syrup to sweeten the whole thing and it's delicious. The charred bottom of the pancake gets mixed up with the cheese and maple syrup and is absolutely delicious. When your mouth feels sweet, you can refresh your palate with a sugar-free cafe latte. If you want to drink coffee in Ikebukuro, be sure to go to Cafe ZUPPA. Next, I will focus on introducing Ikebukuro Sunshine City. Sunshine City is a commercial complex centered around the skyscraper Sunshine 60. Although the site is vast, there are many shopping malls, restaurants, leisure facilities, and an observation deck within the site. I will introduce various activities, shops, and foods that can only be experienced in Sunshine City. Let's start with the shopping mall. As soon as you enter, there are snack shops, wine cellars, etc. As you go a little deeper, you'll start to see boutiques and shoe stores lined up. For a limited time, collaboration products with ”Bocchi the Rock" were also on sale. There is also a cute women's boutique. There was LOFT, a famous Japanese general store. However, unlike other LOFTs, the front of the store is a mess. Patches of various characters from all over the world are on display. There are some characters who have become famous recently. In addition, LOFT sells small items that will make your life a little more enriching. There are stores specializing in various anime character goods in Sunshine City. Here we will introduce some of the most popular ones. The first place I'll introduce is Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo. In the middle of the venue, many Pokemon that have appeared so far are displayed. Is your old partner among these? Relatively recent Pokemon are lined up. PIKACHU is still so popular that there are shelves filled with just Pikachu. This is an event booth where various events are held. The atmosphere of the Pokemon Center in the game is faithfully reproduced. You can also take photos with virtual gym leaders. Let's take a photo with a futuristic background. The clothes of the clerk at the cash register are also reproduced from the original work. It has a bit of a premium feel to it. And Snorlax, the main character in Pokemon Sleep, is sleeping in the center. Recently, a Pokemon card game has been implemented, and tournaments are also held at this center. The Pokemon Center in Shibuya Parco is also very popular, so please check out Shibuya from the video on the top right. There is also a candy shop with a PIKACHU motif next to the Pokemon Center. If you visit on weekdays, you can get the products without lining up, so if you like PIKACHU, please stop by. Next, I will introduce Gashapon Ikebukuro Main Store. Gashapon is a type of capsule toy, and there are countless types in Japan. There are a large number of Gashapon machines in the store, covering almost all of the current Gashapon machines. If you don't have coins, use the exchange machines located throughout the store. If you press the leftmost button, it will exchange 1,000 yen for 10 100 yen coins. There was a Demon Slayer Gashapon. It is 300 yen per time. If you insert three 100 yen coins, you can turn the rotary lever. Items that appear are randomly selected from a set number of types. This time I got a DAKI keychain. Looking at the instruction manual that came with it, there seem to be 8 types in total. You'll be lucky if the character you want appears. By the way, do not throw away this plastic capsule after taking out the product. Actually, there is one effective way to use it. There is a capsule collection machine inside the store, which is linked to the store's points app. While launching the app, you can collect points by inserting empty capsules into the holes in the machine. Once you accumulate a certain number of points, you can use them to exchange for free tickets for other games or non-sale items. In addition to Gashapon, there are various types of UFO catchers in the store. There is also a One Piece collaboration cafe and a card game venue. If you are interested in Japanese anime goods and Gashapon, please stop by the store. When eating lunch in Sunshine City, I recommend BUFFET&GRILL CHEF’S GOODIES. Sunshine City has a restaurant floor with approximately 100 eateries. Most of the dishes at this restaurant are all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat, so everyone can enjoy their favorite food. Look for the signboard with the words "All you can eat" on the top left. A sample of today's menu is displayed at the entrance of the store. There are a variety of meat dishes, pasta, desserts, etc. I will let you know the price first. Price per adult (half price for elementary school students and younger) This price includes all-you-can-eat as well as a special grilled dish that you can order for just one plate. The inside of the restaurant is spacious, with chairs and tables set up so that groups of four can usually sit together. All-you-can-eat food is served buffet-style near the kitchen. Dishes suitable for salad bars and salads dressing for salad A flavorful dish that goes well with bread and rice fresh bread and pizza Udon ramen Of course, you can also enjoy all-you-can-eat rice. Our chefs are constantly preparing food so that we don't run out of food. There is also a soft drink and coffee maker, as well as a juice bar. There are also many tea bags and flavored sugars. Once you are satisfied with your meal, you can get as many sweets as you like from here. There are chopsticks, forks, knives, and spoons, so be sure to bring whatever cutlery you're comfortable with. The first plate, I put a lot of what I wanted to eat on the plate. It's mostly carbohydrates and proteins. The special grilled dish I ordered was a simple beef steak. The sauce used is unique to this restaurant, and has a Japanese-style flavor that is mainly based on onions and soy sauce. The dishes taken from the buffet are Japanese, Western, and Chinese. These Chinese-style meatballs are made with black vinegar, giving them a strong salty, sour, and sweet flavor. This is the only place where you can wrap spaghetti around meatballs. perhaps. The chicken is served in sour sauce with plenty of grain mustard, giving it a refreshing taste. Next, I ordered a salad. Nowadays, vegetables are becoming more expensive in Japan, so being able to eat fresh vegetables is helpful. Next, I made ramen. When eating ramen, don't forget about Shinachiku, one of the pickled bamboo shoots. Let's eat noodles that are well coated with soup together with shinachiku. It has a reassuring taste. Desserts are mainly puddings and cakes, and all of them are delicious. After all, pudding is essential for dessert. The sweetness of the dough and the sweetness of the caramel sauce will make you addicted. Coffee jelly contains the aromatic flavor of beans and has just the right balance of bitterness and sweetness. This is a type of French dessert called flan. It's made by putting flour inside the pudding and baking it until it's a little firmer, but it's also delicious. And I think strong coffee is indispensable for a richly sweet dessert. (If you like black tea, try black tea too) Of course, you can refill the dessert as much as you like. Talk to your stomach and weight. Also, this is my first time seeing this, but the juice bar here also includes tapioca drinks. There is a special sealer, so I think it's a good idea to take it home with you. How was BUFFET&GRILL CHEF’S GOODIES? I highly recommend it because you can eat as many different dishes as you like. However, it is extremely popular, so as you can see, there is a line of people lining up within 30 minutes of opening. If you want to go to this store, be sure to go right after it opens at 11am. Sunshine 60 has an observation deck on the 60th floor, the top floor. The observation deck can be accessed from the direct elevator on the first basement floor. Use the elevator on the right to reach the observation deck. (The elevator on the left is the entrance to the restaurant on the 58th and 59th floors) Inside the elevator is a simple planetarium. The Milky Way and the stars in its vicinity are recreated. When you arrive at the 60th floor, follow the staff to the reception desk at the observation deck. If you have made a reservation online in advance, you will line up on the right. I didn't make a reservation, so I'm going to go to the left and register. Click here to register and pay for admission to the observation deck. Admission fee for one adult on holidays (Admission fee for children under 16 years old is approximately 70% of the adult price.) This amount is cheaper on weekdays. However, please be aware that prices go up during peak seasons. In addition, if your birthday falls within a week before or after your visit, you will receive a special sticker. Actually, my birthday happened to be around the corner, so I got a sticker. If you wish, you can also write your name on the sticker. Once the admission process is complete, an admission ticket with a QR code will be issued. Scan the QR code at the gate at the entrance and enter the observation deck. There is a stroller storage area near the gate. If you don't need it inside the observation deck, leave it here. From this observatory, you can see Tokyo from a height of approximately 220 meters. There are many windows, so you can see Tokyo from anywhere you like. You can see Tokyo Skytree in the distance.(If you want to know more about Tokyo Skytree, please watch the video link in the upper right corner) There is also a place where you can take photos. If you want to take a photo with the Tokyo sky in the background, please do so here. As you proceed through the observation deck, you will find an artificial park. There is also an artificial lawn, so it is perfect for taking a break. It's indoors, so it's air-conditioned, so it's not affected by the weather. There are benches of various shapes in the lawn. A bench is set up next to the window, so you can view the scenery from here, and it's also a good place to take photos. There are also other very realistic artificial bonfires. It's not hot at all, but sometimes smoke comes out. If you go further inside, there is a cafe where you can grab a light meal. You can eat on the benches near the cafe, but it's also better to eat on the grass if you're feeling like taking a walk. When leaving the observation deck, proceed toward the "exit" sign. Eventually, you will arrive at the elevator hall on your way back. The staff will guide you when the elevator arrives, so please wait here. The upper part of the elevator hall is designed to resemble a forest. Healing music is also playing, so it's very relaxing. The elevator on the way back also has a little trick. The elevator displayed on the right side is very fast. We arrived safely on the ground. It's an observation deck that you can easily enjoy, so if you come to Sunshine City, please come! Next, i'll introduce NAMJATOWN, an indoor amusement park located in Sunshine City. Here you can enjoy a variety of attractions themed around Japanese festivals and ghost stories. They often collaborate with various manga and games. So you can experience something new every time you come. SIREN is a really scary game. I will introduce this a little later. There is a reception desk next to the entrance. Admission ticket & attraction unlimited pass price You can purchase just the admission ticket, but if you want to enjoy the attractions more than 3 times, it is better to buy the unlimited play pass. A QR ticket will be issued once the reception is completed. For unlimited play, you will need a QR ticket, so don't lose this ticket. Scan the QR code at the security gate to enter Namja Town. There is a stroller storage area and coin lockers near the entrance. Leave your baggage here. HAVE A GOOD TIME! NAMJATOWN is divided into three sections. The names of each section are FUKUBUKURO 7-CHOME Shopping Street, Dockingham Square, and MONONOKE BANGAICHI. Now let's introduce FUKUBUKURO 7-CHOME Shopping Street. This area is based on the motif of Japan in the 1950s. The area near the entrance of the shopping street is a reenactment of the ENNICHI(traditional japanese fair). You can experience the atmosphere of the stalls and performances that are set up at ENNICHI As you proceed through the shopping street, you will come to the entertainment district. The posters and billboards give you a feel of Japan in the early Showa era. At the dessert alley inside, you can order delicious parfaits and drinks. There was a reproduction replica of a typical house from the past. (Slightly smaller than the real thing) There is a small table for eating meals, a CRT TV, and an old-fashioned refrigerator. In the corner of the house, there is a chest of drawers for storing small items. Above it, from the left, a Japanese doll, a beckoning cat, and a bonsai are displayed. This wall clock and fluorescent light are extremely realistic. As you go deeper into the shopping street, the darkness in the city becomes thicker. Then there was a haunted house. This haunted house is based on a Japanese monster called TEKE TEKE. It's a little cute, but let's move forward on this pig's vehicle. It's really scary when you look at it from a subjective perspective. out with your own eyes. The next area is Dokingham Square. This is an area themed around a picture book-like town. Here, you can enjoy fortune-telling in VR and the attraction of finding the blue bird of happiness. Also, although it's off-topic, the attraction where you escape from a cursed hospital looks like a lot of fun. However, I had to wait 60 minutes to play, so I decided against it this time. The next area I will introduce is MONONOKE BANGAICHI. This area is themed around Japanese ghosts and ghost stories. Especially after dusk, most of the lights are turned off and the whole place is dim. The mascot character of this area, TAMA the cat, appears everywhere. I will proceed in the dark. There are many attractions here as well. You can experience a dank Japanese horror that you don't get to experience very often these days. The restroom is bright and protected by a stone statue of a KOMAINU(guardian dog). If you're tired, take a breather here. The interior is designed to resemble an old Japanese public bath. Various events were held in this area for a limited time, but the one that was particularly frightening was the "SIREN Corridor". SIREN is one of the famous Japanese horror games. This is a story where various people get caught up in a strange phenomenon that occurs in HANYUUDA Village. The words ``HANYUUDA'' are written on the lanterns. It was so popular that there was a 120 minute wait. I actually waited. The ceiling is made to look like exposed concrete, so even the inorganic objects have an eerie feel to them. While you wait, staff members dressed as the enemies in the game faithfully recreate their movements. I can feel the love for the work in places like this. The entrance is almost approaching. Fear awaits behind that door. Since this was a work to enjoy the experience and the visuals, photography was prohibited. If this is being held when you arrive here, please come and enjoy Japanese horror. Move on How was NAMJATOWN? Different events are held every month, so if there is an event that interests you, please come and visit us. The last thing I will introduce in Sunshine City is Sunshine Aquarium. It's a fairly large and authentic aquarium that you wouldn't believe is on the roof of a building. Admission tickets are generally accepted online, but on weekdays you can also accept admission at this counter. Admission fee for one adult (half price for children under 12 years old) Admission is limited on holidays and public holidays, so please register in advance online. After checking in, proceed forward as directed by the clerk. At the end of the passage is a T-junction. The route is on the right. I'll explain the outdoor area on the left in more detail later. There is a stroller storage area near the T-junction. If you don't need a stroller, please leave it here. I arrived at the indoor entrance of the aquarium. This indoor aquarium has two floors, and the first floor mainly displays sea creatures. The first aquarium you see displays small fish hiding in the coral reef. All fish in the tropics are colorful. There are many Chinese eels on the ocean floor. Parrot bass are swimming around energetically. At the top of the tank, the creatures kept in the tank are posted. Additionally, this aquarium collects damaged corals from all over Japan, regrows them, and returns them. In another tank, a large number of sardines are kept. Some sardines occasionally run in the opposite direction. This aquarium displays fish from the waters around Tokyo. The small catfish-like fish in the center are called GONZUI(striped catfish) and are famous for being poisonous. This fish is called a moray eel. When it finds prey, it becomes very ferocious and bites it with its sharp teeth, making it feared by divers. (It's cute when you look at it from a safe place) Other dragon spawn Stonefish There was a mantis shrimp known for its powerful punch. You can see a wide variety of fish and rays swimming in the large aquarium, which is inspired by the Pacific Ocean. Among them, the blackfin sea bream, sharks, and rays are worth seeing. "Enjoy watching the fish swim for a while" Next, I would like to introduce one of the highlights of this aquarium, KURAGE-KUUKAN. This is an area where you can feel the floating sensation and healing effects of jellyfish to the fullest. This is an aquarium where you can see jellyfish in a 180° panoramic view. Moon jellyfish are floating everywhere you look. If you get close, you can look the jellyfish swimming hard. A red jellyfish is displayed next to the panoramic aquarium. If you were to encounter one while diving in the sea, you would be paralyzed with fear. However, when you look at it through the aquarium, you feel an indescribable mysterious charm. As you go deeper, you will find an arch-shaped aquarium filled with jellyfish. It is surprising that so many jellyfish can be kept without the water becoming cloudy. There is also a spherical aquarium with brightly colored jellyfish on display on the back with a pure white background, you can see jellyfish in cylindrical aquariums where water flows from the bottom to the top. There's healing music playing, so it's quite relaxing. Even after passing through KURAGE-KUUKAN' there are still aquariums with these cute squid on display. (Next, a slightly shocking image will be shown, so be careful) There is also a large aquarium where only sunfish, which are famous for their huge size, are kept. Sunfish normally swim in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, so this aquarium has an environment suitable for their habitat. I introduced the highlights of the indoor 1st floor. Next, I will introduce the indoor second floor. Between the first and second floors, a projection mapping image of the birth of life on Earth is shown. It's a pretty beautiful video, so if you have a chance to come here, please take a look. On the second floor, there are exhibits of creatures that mainly live in rivers and freshwater. There is a toilet immediately after going up to the second floor. Let's go while you still have time. A aquarium that recreates a jungle environment is home to a variety of colorful fish that are completely different from those found in the ocean. There are also large fish and piranhas swimming inside. There are many large and colorful fish swimming in the aquarium that recreates a mangrove water forest. funny shaped frog There's also an axolotl. Poison dart frogs, which are dangerous to touch, are beautiful when seen through an aquarium. You can even see rare caiman lizards up close. The main attraction on the second floor is this Baikal seal aquarium. Three cute seals with cat-like faces are swimming leisurely in the aquarium. A display above the tank explains the characteristics of the seals in this aquarium. Perhaps they are interested in humans, as they show off a variety of swimming techniques. very cute! If you go to the back of the seal tank, you will find a souvenir shop. Here, products with motifs of animals kept in the aquarium are sold. There are a lot of different stuffed animals. In addition to deep-sea fish and axolotl, stuffed animals such as seals and penguins are very cute. The stuffed octopus and rhinoceros beetle are realistically made and have a great presence. Other items on sale include keychains, T-shirts, and sweets. After finishing your business at the souvenir shop, let's go to the outdoor aquarium. Proceed in the direction of the arrow on this sign. There are also signs on the stairs, so just keep going. The outdoor aquarium is located on the roof of the building and has a great view on sunny days. The fountain in the center is very impressive. Also, events will be held randomly, so you will be lucky if you can participate (I will introduce one of them later) There are several circular water tanks installed at the top of this outdoor aquarium. In particular, the impressiveness of this sea lion tank cannot be experienced anywhere else. Have you ever seen a sea lion from directly below? You can even clearly see the wrinkles in their skin when they twist. It's so cute how they skillfully use their fins like legs. There is also a large aquarium where sea lions can swim freely. Here, two sea lions are swimming happily. It's a face that is both cute and cool. There are also some special exhibits for penguins. This aquarium is arch-shaped and looks like you're looking up from the bottom. In other words, you can see penguins flying in the sky. It is especially spectacular to see a flock of flying penguins from directly below. There is also a tank with a small-clawed otter, which is also the mascot of this aquarium. (The image on the top right is a small-clawed otter stuffed animal sold here.) It has a cute face like a cat, and its movements are quite adorable. Next, I will introduce the sea lion training, which is a rare event at this outdoor aquarium. The sea lion is cleverly using its fins to follow the trainer. This aquarium offers training to the public to help keep the sea lions healthy. This sea lion can also bow. This time it looks like trainers will be training with two sea lions. These sea lions are very accustomed to people. It is clear that there is a relationship of trust between you and your trainer. A trainer palpates the lying sea lion to make sure it is not feeling unwell. Next, trainer let the sea lions play with a ball to check their balance. A sea lion is holding a balance ball on its head. Very dexterous. The sea lion is eating the rewarded fish with relish. In the back, another sea lion is training to strengthen its core. A trainer is giving balance training to a sea lion by swinging its body from side to side. Of course, sometimes the sea lion loses its balance and fails. The ball came flying towards me, so I gave it back to the sea lion. Still, it's comforting to see sea lions playing and lying around. The sea lion controls the ball with its short snout. After completing one training session, you will receive a fish as a reward. The sea lion looks very happy when you pet its head. After training, the sea lion returns to the tank. I was very lucky to come across this event. Once you have enjoyed the aquarium to your heart's content, it's time to look for the exit. There is an exit near the sea lion stage mentioned earlier. Once you pass through this door, you will not be able to return to the aquarium. Were you able to buy souvenirs? I would be very happy if you could remember what you saw today and visit this aquarium next time you come to Japan. The last place to visit in Ikebukuro is MAWASHIZUSHI WAKATAKA. This restaurant is one of the long-established sushi restaurants in Ikebukuro, and serves fresh and delicious sushi at reasonable prices. On the rail in front of your seat, the sushi made by the chef is continuously flowing.(Seasonings such as wasabi are also available) A lemon highball made with shochu, Japan's representative distilled alcohol.Pour the highball into a cold mug filled with ice. Thank you for your hard work today. The sushi I ordered will be delivered one after another. First up is steamed oysters with PONZU sauce. Large oysters caught in the waters around Japan are steamed and topped with PONZU sauce. The meat was plump and very delicious. An assortment of seasonal sushi. What is served is different every day. As for how to eat unflavored sushi, first put a little soy sauce on it. Then, add as much wasabi as you like on top of the sushi toppings.Wasabi is spicy, so if you don't like it, you don't have to use it. One sushi that foreigners might like is salmon and fried onion sushi. I also saw it for the first time. The raw salmon and fragrant fried onions give it a great flavor. I think this sushi only has soy sauce and no wasabi. If you don't like soy sauce, I think this salmon roll will suit your tastes. Fresh raw salmon wrapped in grilled seaweed and rice. There is mayonnaise inside for seasoning. It's a very simple dish, but it was delicious because the ingredients were good. Another specialty of this restaurant is CHANKO soup. This is a soup with a salty base and concentrated flavors of vegetables and fish. This sardine fishball in particular provides a fishy flavor to the soup. It's delicious even if you eat it as is. It has a gentle taste that permeates your tired body. I have introduced some interesting places to play in Ikebukuro, a city of youth and popular culture. If you walk deep into Ikebukuro, you will find many interesting and shocking things that will leave a lasting impression on you. If you watch this video and visit when you are interested in Japanese culture, your view of this city will change dramatically. I hope this video will be helpful for your Ikebukuro trip. If you like the video, please give it a high rating and subscribe to the channel. Thank you for watching the video. Have a nice Trip.
