I tried explaining why the tsunami threat in Seattle was nearly non existant to so many people last year after that New Yorker story came out, but people just didn't want to hear it. It's nice to know I learned something in college geology. LOL
This same prof does a series of videos on youtube on various geological subjects around the PNW called 2 minute geology. Pretty fascinating stuff.
