Gran Turismo 7 - The New Multiplayer Races are Here...

stream couple of days i think it's thursday last week but today is monday at least it is uh in most places in the world it might be tuesday if you're in asia or australia or new zealand um today we're taking a look at the new daily races which are not daily they're weekly i don't know why they're called daily races i think in the description it says because you can drive them every day but then you can drive them every week or every month every year i don't know what the logic is there but um yeah that's that's what they're called and here they are so the one on the left hidden by me partially but alsace test course you have a choice of three cars these three here i've got one tuned up already so we can give that a go the two i'm actually interested in one especially nurburgring gp group four um and race c which is a very very very tasty little race it's a very tasty race daytona in group three goes how about that guys um it isn't b.o.p i've raced it a couple of times today and it is pretty close it's a pretty good fun so we will jump into that one many times um because it is now just gone eight o'clock i will jump into race b first and then i'll do race c and then race a will do at some point so for race b i haven't actually done it yet i have prepared a supra whether or not it's any good i do not know no idea at all so i'm gonna start from the back on this one but i will practice a little bit anyway and get used to the car to the uh car used to the track what the sort of times we're looking at here alpha at the top okay any supras doesn't look like it yep so bop is balanced performance it's a setting in the game which automatically makes the cars quite equal without the need for tuning and um branches my sport use bop pretty much all the time but gran turismo 7 so far at least it hasn't really used bops it's used sort of an open tuning sort of aspect and i was quite skeptical at first i think they are still working on the multiplayer the multiplayer it certainly isn't like complete i would say there's lots of things that are just a little bit not quite there not quite right but um i hope that they get there in not too long of a not too long of a time so let me uh let me practice with this i think i should probably actually just set a time shouldn't i [Music] and then um [Music] yeah i'll just set a time i've only got six minutes so i've only were this is uh oh my god right just going to check it quick uh no there is not a weight requirement so take all of that weight off then i don't know why that's though wait did i do that properly yeah so i just got all this weight i've got 130 i had 130 kilos sat there when i didn't actually need it okay oh that should make the car a bit a bit quicker oh 68 pp that didn't actually change the pv though how did that not change it was just a glitch i've just worked out okay so if i six two nine if i add loads six two two it does it changed a little bit but okay that's six two nine so i'm actually still under the limit just about okay we'll go with that then yeah so i just basically had two passengers in the car which was uh really slowing me down i would have set a world record without that obviously you will know that right you all know that i would have set the world's best lap time ever if it wasn't for that it wasn't for that [Music] it's a three lap race i'm start where's my starting about eight or nine [Music] so uh could be good fun [Music] great warm-up that was all right guys let's start in 10th get your predictions in where am i going to finish lots of alphas at the front the first four are all alphas what if someone's revving their engine and they revving it up p6 yeah first well guys i love that i love that um optimism in the chat phil was asking have i had any issues with audio slowly sliding out of sync with the video when trying to stream stream in stream labs is obs better i use obs i think obs is better but i haven't had that problem before i must say i would always recommend obs compared to streamlabs obs i think it's just a more elegant better piece of software so right here we go oh [Music] wow what start that was [Music] this rightly say that they did not give me a penalty because i don't think i deserved one i was 100 on the tarmac 100. [Music] the stewards they really know what they're doing today they years of experience [Music] and they made the right call they made the right call there's no doubt about that oh i'm gonna do it again i know i need to work out exactly what that track live is there although the subaru went wide okay none of us got a penalty so [Music] jacob says smh yeah man i think that that pretty much sums need more power 206 still five seconds off the pace clearly the alpha is the car to use one five five no doubts about that [Music] yeah the gearing's wrong it's just like straight lines was just completely off but it takes time to build a decent tune you know but now we're going to jump over to daytona let me uh save that let me uh capture that on my elgato 4k capture hd whatever it's called well just keep restarting until you get a favorable one which that is depend so that's going to push me up the back the straight before the bus stop it's going to be against me on the main street but [Music] it's kind of weird how you can just keep restarting and it's going to affect your lap time depending on the wind it's kind of silly [Music] let's do that again [Music] thank you mr mugen 53 us where seventh on this grid forty four eight might have put us fifth so it's not like a huge gain but we'll take it aura he actually helped me out with the tune for this and he's on pole position in the huracan as well most people will be going for the audi r8 in this race so that's the that's the most common car uh you'll see but here we go everyone our first proper daily race on gt7 on a live stream so let's let's dance and i think a little bit of fuel saving is required you don't have to you can't just drive it flat out near enough but there are some simple a couple of simple tricks which you can do i think the main one is um at the end of the straight it's just going to uh fuel mix 6. so once you hit 170 miles an hour put it into lean mix six and you you might drop to one six nine but you're losing one miles an hour it's not you don't really lose much and at the start just put that to six as well save a little bit all right let's do it seven from the grid let's see if we can move forward a little bit from there is this race bop no it's uh there's tuning requirements but it's not b.o.p does this game feel different to gt sport yes a lot different the handling is way different consider is if you're catching someone quite quickly you normally you shouldn't be catching maybe then it could be fuel saving so you have to consider that [Music] there's a massive gap now wait seventh eighth and then a big gap back tonight [Music] [Music] [Music] he's making a couple of mistakes there is not an easy corner the um first corner [Music] [Music] going fairly aggressive here we're just making the moves normally you can just sit behind and fuel safe but just if the space is there i'm just gonna go for it not a very good exit [Music] just needed to rotate a bit more mid chicane i didn't for the power too early i think still in the toe save a bit more fuel so key let him go oh he's off [Music] i think he's fuel saving [Music] [Music] oh good race this [Music] i'll if the force feedback is like is good i think in some situation it does feel a bit weird but for those of you who played the game you know the cars can be a bit snappy at times [Music] and um sometimes it's during those moments of snappiness where [Music] the force feedback feels a bit weird feels like it's lagging behind a little bit [Music] [Music] a very close fight in the mid pack from about seventh to pretty much last they're all very close [Music] by the supras just been overtaken there [Music] could we overtake that supra that's the question we could i think we could both fourth is possible here if everything goes perfect but if i start fighting key now we both lose [Music] okay right no more fuel saving [Music] i think third is better out better out there seem it feels slow don't know i i didn't really think too much of that to be honest did you see the end of the daytona 24 hour this year the actual race that's a lot of contact in that what happens is gt3s right [Music] it's just an awkward situation [Music] because [Music] what's happened is i've gone up the inside and because sick p6 has gone wide wind has wanted to got his inside as well so i've gone up his inside 65 000 get yourself a good rally car you can get any off-road car group b car put dirt tires on it then if you do a clean race which pretty much you will always do a clean race because i've smashed the opponent off a million times hit the barrier i've got penalties and i still got a clean raise and then you'll get 97 and a half thousand and it only takes about three minutes so do that a couple of times get a million in light half an hour or something so it's not too bad apparently there's a new race that will add a hundred thousand only three minutes okay yeah i mean that's a good way for now there's probably gonna come up with some you know there's going to be some other ways as well should we do one more one more daytona i know i've got 10 minutes to try and beat my qualifying time chicane after the two board before the one board there's a little there's another little board to look for the three then the two then there's a little blackboard just above there which is pretty much 150. looking for the last of these white lines one two three just look at the last one break right after the last one there it is and go wide keep the brake on aim for the tires wait for the bump then accelerate accelerate to the curb keep it on this one's quite tricky i just judge it i don't really have a breaking point i just judge it um the next one you go through the left kink and on the left hand side there's a little cut through and there's a tarmac which dark colored little strip there and if you saw that just right next to that i think in this car you can break a tidy bit after it [Music] on this one look for the cut through on the right break halfway between it there where the cones are just halfway down that once you know the breaking points honestly guys um a lot of people ask me this like once you know where to break the rest of the corner just like flows so so easily so you can just hit those marks every lap and it's quite quite simple oh god i had a moment then thank estimated guess based on experience then if it's wrong you just adjust it you can watch others i think it's always a good idea to be able to learn to judge them for yourself ryan whitehall yes i'm get as high as speed and if the winds behind you you will if you get a tailwind it will go you will go a little bit quicker so when you jump into a qualifying session [Music] it's actually worth just keep retrying until you get a favorable wind direction it's kind of silly i think in qualifying there shouldn't be any difference everyone should just have the same wind direction [Music] kind of silly really [Music] right there should be nothing different in qualifying for everyone should be exactly the same otherwise it's just like he's just relying on external actors which you can't control and it's just like random stupid luck [Music] i don't think he makes too much of a difference because it's only like a slight wind like 1.5 um when it starts getting to three or four then maybe um it will make a considerable difference does tailwind help in overtaking well your opponent is going to get the tailwind as well so i don't think i don't know maybe just trying to think how that would work [Music] oh my god car is a little bit sketchy through there [Music] you essentially have to drive what if i gain four seconds it's nearly a second allowed see where this lap time is i lost a lot of time there on the exit but still going to be a 46 not too bad breaking distance is longer definitely feel that [Music] this is a little bit ropey must be said if you're comfortable on worn tires then this is a good strategy but it is quite risky [Music] thank you uh marco nissi [Music] why is everyone using the audi and not another car often what happens in these races is that one car will dominate the leaderboard and it just has a snowball effect everyone sees that then everyone uses it and then yeah i actually prefer this car i think this car is actually better i think it's slightly better on fuel it's better on the brakes i think it has better top end slightly it's not quite as bad in the mid corner like it doesn't twitch as much [Music] oh i don't know i think it's quite good when you use a different car and everyone else is using a different one 47-0 [Music] it's slippery or you can see that look [Music] if you only gained two seconds from not changing tires i would say it's not worth it but when it's four seconds it's like oh that's a that's a decent amount i want to know if everyone knows those guys mess up their pit stop or something i see four seconds just seems too much [Music] there's a giant lizard on the track apparently like your abra again what do you think of the snap oversteer gt7 yeah i i think it's a little bit too much but the problem is it's like unrecoverable at times it just snaps and then like you are just dead you try and recover it you spin the other way and like it's hard enough for me to do it and i'm on a direct drive will so you know it's going to be harder for most people and i was saying this a couple of times in the stream earlier that sometimes there's those moments where the car sort of fish tails and you're trying to recover it and the force feedback feels like it's as the car's swinging to the right you should feel the force feedback of the car swinging to the right but it feels like it swings to the left and it the force feedback is just like sometimes it just feels like it's a bit delayed or lagging and i can't like recover the car because i can't feel what's going on properly for the most part it's decent it's not like amazing but [Music] so [Music] okay so yeah you see there's a drop off in that time here the second stint 467 470 473 it has got progressively worse even though the cars got lighter don't bottle it yeah let's get this final trick right nice and safe don't do anything stupid don't need to risk anything we've got eight seconds okay we should be safe keywords should could still do were like same pace as me really if i tried that in like some of the previous races i don't know if it would have worked the problem is if you get into a fight like on the last lap and you're on the warm tyres it's going to be hard to defend that's the problem but you do get like gap that's that's the benefit what's my force feedback settings in the game 8 10 there's two settings for it on my
