God Wants You Well - Week 5, Day 4 - The Gospel Truth

truth viewer three-part spirit soul goodbye evening is a part of the atonement process God wants you well how can you doubt that you'll get it if you've already got it you're already blessed everything that Jesus came to do the power for it is released through the gospel the good news the nearly too good to be true news welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the gospel truth today I'm continuing to talk about how God wants you well and I've been dealing with this now for this is near the end of my fifth week we've got these six volumes of DVDs with probably 28 or 30 testimonies of people who've been miraculously healed and I've been playing those plus we have this book on God wants you well I've got it on CD DVD I've got a study guide and we've got this USB that has over a dozen of my teachings that go along with healing on the authority of the believers spirit soul and body how to receive God's best and on and on and on it goes and we've just got a wealth of information I've said this many times but I really want to encourage you that I believe if you were to get this entire healing package and if you were to study it and let this soak in on the inside of you it's gonna be very very hard for you to stay sick if you get all of this and you know on our program yesterday we played the testimony of Julian Hartmann who spent over three hundred thousand dollars on medication and was not getting better was getting worse but then she got these materials free and she began to just saturate herself in the Word of God and it produced total healing and today she is completely pain-free and she I forget the exact length of time but I could it's over a decade it was a long period of time she had just nearly been housebound sidelined she used to be very active and yet she got healed just through the Word of God I didn't lay hands on her I'm not saying that you can't get healed by having somebody else lay hands on you but I think that that's restrictive in a way I'm not always gonna be there with you but the word will always be there with you God will always be with you and it says in psalm 107:20 that he sent his word and healed them and delivered them from all their destructions in the eighth chapter of the book of Matthew Jesus said it was the greatest faith he had ever seen this Centurion who said Speak the word only and my servant shall be healed and so when you get to where you can just receive healing through the word that's all that you need and so we're talking about well why isn't everybody healed in if it's God's will so here's an instance in the seventeenth chapter of Matthew where Jesus disciples could not cast the devil out of a boy who was having problems with things like epileptic seizures and so Jesus rebuked them showing that it was his will they should have been able to do this likewise Jesus wants us to be able to minister healing today we should not accept the powerlessness that we see in the average Church and in the average Christian today and so after in verse 18 this is Matthew 1718 Jesus rebuked the devil and he departed out of him and the child was cured for that very hour so Jesus did what his disciples were unable to do not because he hadn't empowered them but because they just failed in this area and so it says in verse 19 then came the disciples to Jesus apart and said why could not we cast him out now remember in Matthew chapter 10 he had already given the disciples power and authority over all sickness and over all disease and then he told them to go heal the sick cleanse the lepers raise the dead they came back and they said Lord even the Devils are subject to us in your name so they had already cast demons out of people they had already seen people heal now it's important that you put that together because these weren't people who had never done this before they had used the name of Jesus they had cast out demons they had seen people heal but this time they did the same thing that had worked in previous times and this time it didn't work now that is important again I say that people who don't believe in healing they don't have this perplexity they just say well you know this is the way it is God doesn't heal this is part of being human and you have to suffer but people who believe in healing in a way they have the opportunity to be more perplexed than people who don't believe in healing because the people who don't believe in healing they're shooting at nothing and hitting it every time whatever happens it must have been God's will that's a chicken's way to live forgive me for being blunt but man you're shooting at nothing you hit it every time you can't miss when you're shooting at nothing but if you are aiming at a target what happens if you miss why did you miss you have questions like this so they said why couldn't we cast him out and look at this in verse 20 it says Jesus said unto them because of your unbelief now this is really important and I don't mean to attack any other translation I am NOT one of these King James only God and I use the King James because I believe it's awesome it's what I grew up on it has depth to it that you don't get with some of the modern translations they just take the surface meaning and put it in there and you and you can't plumb the depths you can't read the same scripture over a thousand times and get something new every time because it's just the surface level of what's being said I love the King James I am but I'm not a King James only guy I am not against all other translations but I just have to mention this that if you're reading the NIV the NIV says it's because of your little faith and that is not what this is talking about matter of fact if you were to go on in the rest of this verse in verse 20 it says Jesus said unto them because of your unbelief for verily I say unto you if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed you should say unto this mountain remove hence to yonder place and it should remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you the rest of this verse goes on to make the point that if your faith is as small as a grain of mustard seed that's enough to see a mountain cast into the sea the whole point that he's making is you don't need big faith if your faith is just this tiny it's enough to accomplish whatever it is that you need so if you were to take the N Ivy's interpretation it's because of your little faith well then the rest of that verse doesn't make any sense it's counterproductive to the point that's being made and let me just point out that the NIV even took the 21st verse the next verse that says howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting and the NIV didn't even think that that should be in there they just took that out of the Bible there's about five or six times at the NIV just left scriptures out I am NOT against the NIV I look at it I get some good input from it and stuff but anyway I believe that this is exactly what Jesus was saying right here they said why couldn't we cast him out he said it's because of your unbelief not little faith now some people might say well isn't that the same thing if you've got unbelief well then you don't have faith and if you have faith then you don't have unbelief see a lot of people think that it's mutually exclusive that if you believe you just believe with everything and there's no doubts no reservations I don't think that that's true and I'm going to show you this from a number of different places but you can believe and disbelieve at the same time you can believe and yet have doubts in your heart and it's not the fact that you don't have faith that stops the answer from coming but it's the fact that your unbelief negates your faith it counterbalances your faith you know look at it this way if I had like a weight in front of me a large weight that weighed hundreds of pounds you could hook a horse up to it one of these workhorses one of these plow horses and you could hook a horse up to that weight and it could exert enough power to drag that weight but if you had a horse of equal strength hooked up and pulling in the opposite direction at the same time those two horses be exerting tremendous force and yet the net effect on the weight would be zero because it negates each other it counterbalances it cancels the effect of the other and see this is what the Lord is saying here they say why couldn't we cast him out was it because they didn't believe no they believed or they wouldn't have even come with this question they did believe they had cast out demons before they did something they spoke to these demons but this time it didn't work they didn't see the right results there was faith present or they wouldn't have even asked why didn't it work they would have known why it didn't work because I don't believe it can work but see they did believe Jesus didn't say it's because you didn't believe he says it's because of your unbelief and again I believe it's this concept that the unbelief if you have faith pull it in this way but if you've got unbelief pulling it in this way it cancels it out and the average Christian does not have this concept the average Christian if you realize that you need to trust God more you need to believe more they will start maybe studying the word they'll increase their devotion time they'll go to church they'll get materials they'll do some things to increase but then they'll still just sit there and let unbelief come at them they will listen to the voices of other people they won't stand again to it against it they'll stand there and watch hours and hours of unbelief on television that completely contradicts you know even if you could find a good program on television the commercials will kill you you know Jamie and I we don't watch a lot of television but the television we watch is usually these old shows like Andy Griffith or something like that and because I guess it's the older people that watch those kind of shows man nearly every commercial is on some kind of sickness pill stuff and I'll often be walking through the room and I'll hear someone I say I'll tell Jamie I said you must be watching one of those old people programs again because every commercial is on sickness so even if you could find something it is decent and it's not contaminated I can guarantee you the commercials will kill you it's unbelief and somebody you think well that doesn't bother me the scripture says over in first Corinthians 15:33 says be not deceived evil communications corrupt good manners if you're thinking that you can sit there and just let this sewage of the world flow through you and it doesn't affect you you are deceived and when you have a headache err when you have an allergy or when you know asthma or something hits I can guarantee you all of that stuff that you saw advertising is going to come back to your mind and while you're sitting there trying to believe God say father I believe in the name of Jesus that this headache is gone you'll be thinking that you know this pain reliever had a higher level of pain relief than this other one and your mind will go back to the stuff that you've listened to and that you've programmed it with and it's not that you don't know what the word says and it's yarn trying to believe God but you've got all of this other stuff that's pulling you in a different direction you know I was driving in today and I turned on the radio to hear what had happened overnight the news and they came I forget now exactly what it was but they started to say something about once you're over 40 and you know what the moment I heard that boom I turned that thing off I'm not gonna sit there and let them start telling me and start believing and anticipating that as I get older I start having I have to have this problem and I have to have this problem in this problem I'm not gonna go there I don't believe that I don't listen to them and I know some of you think well you're weird well I think you're weird to let people speak these curses over you and speak things that all of this is going to happen you know what that is that's unbelief and so then all of a sudden something happens and you start thinking well I am over 40 and they did say this and you know it is true and I guess I just have to start learning to live with this you have to be taught to be sick and I know somehow you're gonna say old you do not yeah you do you know Adam and Eve one of the reasons they live to be 930 years old is because they didn't know that they were supposed to have a flu season they didn't know that in the fall you were supposed to get sick they didn't know that when you've got 40 that you were supposed to have black balloons and start giving people depends and things like this for presents and they didn't do that stuff they didn't know how to be sick it took the devil nine hundred and thirty years to kill them they didn't know how to be sick they weren't expecting this they hadn't spoken it for decades that well I guess by the time I'm sixty I'm gonna be decrepit and they didn't know those things I'm telling you that whether you realize it or not all of the junk that is being fed us and people may say well but it's just natural it's just true well that's what it is it's just natural but you aren't just natural you are supernatural you have a supernatural ability of God on the inside of you and you do not need to be listening to this stuff and you do not need to just relate to the way everybody else is those other people don't know God those other people aren't born again they don't have the same power living on the inside of them that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and so there should be a difference you're alive they're dead you ought to be able to tell the difference between a dead and an alive person and yet the said fact is if you went and examine most Christians and stood them right next to an unbeliever they have the same sickness they have the same fears they have the same poverty they get bothered by the same stuff it shouldn't be that way just because it is that way doesn't mean it's supposed to be that way Jesus has provided healing he said the reason you can't cast this demon out is because of your unbelief and again Christians will try and do things to build their faith but they ignore their unbelief you know if you could imagine two of these little scales here like a thermometer or something in it and over here measures your faith if people come up against a problem they'll just say boy my faith is small I need to build my faith and they start trying to build their faith over here but they ignore this scale that measures their unbelief you know an easier way to do it Jesus said if your faith is like a grain of mustard seed little tiny it's enough to see a mountain cast into the sea if you doubt not in your heart instead of having to build your faith to this huge level you know the easier way is to pull the plug over here on unbelief and just drain your unbelief down to where it's nothing and you'll find out that a little mustard seed amount of faith is enough to see whatever you need done cancer is not hard to overcome HIV is not hard to overcome diabetes is not hard to overcome brain aneurysm is not hard to overcome all of these things you know we played the testimony of Gina Boop last week and this woman had a grade five brain aneurysm and yet her and her husband believe and part of their testimony if you would go back and check it out they're they're part of this new healing journeys if you would go back and check it out I've already played it so I won't play it today but go check it out one of the things that they did they refused to allow the doctor our nurses are anybody to speak death over Gina they started speaking what they were believing and they had to stand against that unbelief and I don't think that bud and Gina have greater faith in everybody else but you know what they had less unbelief they refused to listen to anything they it doesn't take a hundred horses to drag this weight and to move it if you don't have anything oh pausing it over here you just hook your faith up to it and it'll move the problem if you aren't having unbelief pull you in the opposite direction and I'm telling you most Christians don't have this concept they just allow huge levels of unbelief to come in they allow the doctor the nurse the lawyer the banker the husband the wife the friend the relatives the neighbors to come and speak death over you and say all these things and we just don't want to offend anybody and so we just let them do whatever and we let these words come against us in Isaiah chapter 54 verse 17 it says no weapon formed against you shall and then the next phrase says and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me thus saith the Lord it says no weapon formed against you a prosper and then it says in every tongue that rises against you did you know words are weapons words have power in it proverbs 18:21 death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit there out words have power death and life not only life but also death words speak death and when you hear somebody they could be well meaning they could love you they could they could be pitying you but nonetheless if they come in and start talking about you know what are you gonna do for your funeral you know are you hurting today oh we just feel so bad and they could and it could be motivated by love they could be well-meaning but they could be completely wrong you know in the sixteenth chapter of the book of Matthew Jesus was talking about his crucifixion and that he was going to be crucified but the third day he would rise again and Peter rebuked him and says don't talk that way it'll never happen and Jesus turn around said get behind me see did you know Peter was motivated by love for Jesus he was saying Oh Lord no it'll never happen you'll never be crucified you'll never be defeated but see that was God's plan for Jesus and Jesus turned around to somebody who meant well who was saying what they said out of love and he rebuked him and said that's of the devil just because somebody loves you it they could be speaking out of a heart of love but if they are pitying you and speaking forth their sorrow in their grief and talking about how terrible it is and what are you going to do with your young children after you're gone it doesn't matter what their motive is it can Minister doubt and unbelief to you and you have to stand against it and not very many people say have this approach they just think I'm gonna get strong in faith but they won't stand against things you know I actually had a woman come to me and it's a long story I'm gonna make this short but a woman came to me and she was dying of cancer and I told her one of the reasons that this was happening was because of her loved ones she was a pastor a pastor's wife and people well-meaning people were speaking words over her that they thought were love but it was actually sorrow and grief and she wouldn't stand against me I said you're gonna have to count her so she did and you know what she was completely healed and I mean she got better and went for years and then the thing came back on her and when she came to see me the second time and wanted prayer I asked her about that same thing and she says well you know she offended a lot of people and that these people mean well and she's just she's not gonna do that again and you know what she died this time and I believe that the difference was the fact that she had faith her faith had produced total healing he wasn't the doctors it was her faith but she didn't want to offend people it had caused problems people didn't understand when she got so adamant and so strict and she just refused to get rid of this unbelief that was counterbalance in her faith and because I was she died I'm telling you this is important it's not your little faith if you've got faith at all that's enough to move a mountain it's not your faith it's the problem it's your unbelief that is counterbalancing your faith I've got a construction update we're now in the auditorium and I'm standing on the stage and you can't really tell it because I got a lot of it covered but we do have carpet on the stage now and they have put a lot of the woodwork on the stage the most notable thing is that we've got 2,000 of our 3200 seats already installed they still have plastic over it but this gives you a little bit of idea about how it'll look so we're gonna walk down to the end of this hallway and show you where our waterfall is we're now down in front of our waterfall here you notice that the logo is up since the last time that we did a construction update and this is where the traffic will flow between the two buildings over here you couldn't see this very well last time because they were putting up the moss rock and they had scaffolding all up here but these four openings that you see and the upper level of the barn will come in right there and behind the waterfall from way over there where you can see those that glass with the X marked on it in the blue tape from there all the way around behind the waterfall and all the way over here this is all our bookstore but let me just tell you why we're here that we still have 1.3 million dollars to pay on this building and that's not including the retainage --is the retainage azar 1.6 million dollars and they will be paid out all the way through October so we have a little bit of time to come up with that I want to take you out and show you some of the construction on the garage that's being done okay we're now out on the northwest corner of our auditorium
