God Wants You Well - Week 1, Day 1 - The Gospel Truth

truth you are three-part spirit soul and body healing is a part of the atonement of Christ God wants you well how can you doubt that you'll get it if you've already got it you're already blessed everything that Jesus came to do the power for it is released through the gospel the good news the nearly too good to be true news welcome to our Monday's broadcast of the gospel truth today I'm gonna start a series teaching on God wants you well I tell you this is powerful I've taught on this many times over the you know the two decades that we've been on television and we have seen thousands maybe tens of thousands of people healed and I'll tell you this is just important and we've got so much product on this did you know that we now have six volumes of healing testimonies that my media department has put together I think that there's five testimonies on each one so this is 30 testimonies there are people on here that have been raised from the dead people that had multiple sclerosis we're in a wheelchair people that had oh just all kinds of things I mean people born little babies born without parts of their body that in the natural they could not have lived and yet now they are teenagers and just on and on and we're gonna be playing a lot of these testimonies and giving you evidence about how it is God's will to heal the bulk of it is going to be primarily Scripture because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God but I believe that many times we make the mistake of only speaking Scripture and not demonstrating the power God and you know here over a television program it's a little hard to demonstrate this power of God it's not like a live service and so we're gonna be using these testimonies and this may be a very long series may have to break it up into different segments in order to be able to play all of these testimonies but I believe that the end result of this is going to be that it will give you faith to be healed and let me just introduce this subject by talking about that I don't claim that I understand everything about healing and by me even saying that so saying that and making myself vulnerable there will be a lot of people who will discount what I've got to say because they know it all I'm telling you I don't know it all but I am telling you that what I know has worked supernaturally for me I mean I have walked in divine health for nearly 50 years I've had a few instances two or three times in 50 years where I have fought sickness and in every case it was because of my own stupidity because I did something that just so depleted myself like one time I ministered 40 times one week in the next week I ministered 41 times and I got so tired that I crawled into bed and spend about a whole day just laying in bed because I was just worn out and the next day I felt better so I got up and went and split a quart of wood and that was too much too soon and I got a sinus infection and had a lot of pain in my head for about two or three days and that was one time that I fought sickness another time I came home from a trip to England I had been over 30-something hours without any sleep and yet I was building this pond on my property and it was stopped up and so after 30-something hours of no sleep I was just worn out I got in this freezing water and spent about six hours trying to unplug this drain so that my things would work properly and I got a cold from that and spent a couple of days dealing with that and so anyway it's just a couple of times like that in 50 years I've been walking in Supernatural health and I know that there's a lot of people that don't believe that but that's my testimony and I'm sticking with him I've also seen people raised from the dead including my own son was dead for five hours was in a more had been pronounced dead was put in a cooler stripped naked with a toe tag on he had turned black and they called me Jamie and I spoke our faith and my son rose from the dead and today is just totally normal there's no brain damage I've seen blind eyes open deaf ears open I've seen all kinds of things and the reason I'm saying that is not to inflate myself or to pack myself on the back but I am saying that what the truths that God has shown me from his word are working in my life this isn't theory and that's the reason I think it's so important for us to play these testimonies and to not only tell you that God wants you well but to demonstrate it and show that God is no respecter of persons if God has healed all of these people and of course there's many many more this is just the tip of the iceberg but we are not only going to teach the Word of God concerning healing but we're gonna demonstrate it and I think that that's necessary matter of fact I believe that this is one of the reasons that the church has not had a greater impact on our society than it has and that's because people have just chosen to break what Jesus did in two parts and say here's forgiveness of sins and as a whole this is a generalization but as a whole the body of Christ the church has emphasized forgiveness of sins so that you won't die and go to hell but instead you'd go to heaven and that is what they have called the gospel is just preaching the forgiveness of your sins so that you will go to heaven when you die now that is a part of the gospel it's part of the benefits of the gospel but it's certainly by no means all of it healing is just as much a part of what Jesus died to produce as forgiveness of sins and by me even saying that I know that there's many people right now that are just incensed like how dare you because it has been presented that the only thing that Jesus purchased that is guaranteed that we can claim and stand on is the forgiveness of our sins but healing is looked at by the majority of the body of Christ as an additional thing as an optional part of salvation of course because God is God he can do anything he wants to and if God wanted to he could heal people and I would say that the majority of Christians believe that now there are some that preach that no God doesn't do any miracles today but most people when they get their back against a wall whether they've been taught that God doesn't do miracles or not they will cry out to God for help because they they know he's God and if he chose to he could heal a lot of people believe that but to believe that Jesus has purchased healing for us that it is a part of the atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ that is not accepted by the majority of people and that's the reason that the majority of people do not walk in Supernatural healing just to pray and say Oh God healed me if it's your will will not get you well one of the first things I want to get across is that God wants you well that's the title of this teaching God wants you well God does not want you sick it is a part of what Jesus died to produce and I know that that's already I've already offended some people because this is against religious tradition but I'm gonna be sharing so many scriptures with you that if you believe the Bible then you are gonna have to come to the conclusion that Jesus died for your healing just as much as he died for your forgiveness of sins now that's a statement I made and I haven't verified it yet but I'm going to as we go through this series and if you let the Bible get in the way of what you believe I believe you are gonna have to come to this place that Jesus provided healing for us just as much as he provided forgiveness of sins and so going back to a point I was making just a minute ago the reason that the body of Christ is not having a greater impact on our society is because they are only preaching the forgiveness of sins as that what Jesus came to do and even though that's important it's it's essential it's vital I am NOT minimizing that Jesus died for our sins I'm not minimizing that at all but what I'm trying to do is to elevate healing and prosperity and deliverance because Jesus died for all of that and because the church has not preached those things they basically have made Christianity irrelevant to this present life they've basically said that Jesus came to prepare us for the future and you know there is a large number of people I've seen statistics that there's like in the United States eighty five percent of the United States population believes that there is a God but if you look at the number of people that go to church the number of people that practice their Christianity and that have a godly set of values the numbers go way way on that way below thirty percent some people estimated around fifteen percent of the u.s. population actually goes to church actually ties actually does these things so there's a huge number of people that believe that God exists but in their day to day life they don't have this relationship with God they are not born again God is not impacting their life they're if you were to arrest the average person who says that they believe that there is a God and if you were to arrest them for being a Christian there wouldn't be enough evidence to convict them because they just aren't living it why is that well a lot of it goes back to the church that the church has been presenting that the only purpose for God is to receive your forgiveness of sins so that when you die you'll go to heaven but Jesus gave himself so that we could be delivered from this present evil world let me just share that with you out of Galatians chapter one and in verse 3 it says grace be to you in peace from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ who gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us from this present evil world according to the will of God our Father it didn't say he gave himself to deliver us from the future world from the future hell in punishment now that is a part of it there are other scriptures it does say that when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that you are going to live forever in eternity with him because of your relationship to Jesus so I am NOT saying there's not a heaven I'm not saying that there's not a hell that we need to reject and shine but Jesus gave himself to deliver us from this present evil world it's not all pie in the sky by and by but it's steak on the plate while you wait they pen you can experience the power of God right now and the church as a whole is not preaching that it's all off in the future and so here's the way that the average person responds to the message that is being proclaimed by most churches today they look at it as it's not that the majority of people say it doesn't exist heaven and hell don't exist but most people are living in such a terrible situation they are living in a Hell right now of sickness of poverty broken relationships fear about all of the things that are happening in this world and they are just struggling to cope so much with today that they aren't thinking about the future now they should be but they aren't most people are so preoccupied with the struggles that they deal with on a daily basis that they don't see the relevance of what the church is preaching because again the vast majority of churches are preaching about the future you believe on Jesus so that when you die you won't go to hell but instead you'd go to heaven now that's great and if that's all there was to salvation I would preach that because it is well worth it but that is not the message that Jesus came to communicate and again Paul right here said that he gave himself to deliver us from this present evil world not just a world to come but this present evil world if the church was proclaiming healing the way that Jesus and the first century church did and if they were seeing people's bodies being healed and if people could see that believing on the Lord will not only affect their eternity but it will affect them now they can be healed if they can understand that they could be delivered from depression they do not have to live a defeated life but they can live in victory right now that they be world overcomers right now if they could see that God would prosper them and help them in their daily lives if people just understood how much God loved them not off in the future but in this life and he wanted to be with them and help them in every single thing that they are facing I guarantee you we would be drawing many many many more people to the Lord than what the church is right now and many people just see the church as irrelevant because it's only talking about eternal values now am i saying that that's wrong no it is true that eternity is reeling we're gonna spend more time in eternity than we spend here on this earth but Jesus used miracles he used healing like a bell I think that it was Kenneth Hagin that said that the Jesus used healing like the dinner bell to draw people to himself let me give you an example of this here in mark chapter 2 and it says in verse 1 and again he entered into Capernaum after some days and it was noised that he was in the house and straightway many were gathered together in so much that there was no room to receive them no not so much as about the door and he preached the word unto them and they come unto Him bringing one sick of the palsy which was borne of four and when they could not come nigh unto him for the press they uncovered the roof where he was and when they had broken it up they let down the bed whereon the sick of the palsy lay when Jesus saw their faith he saith unto the sick of the palsy son thy sins be forgiven thee there is a lot I can say this is great but if you really understood what it meant to be free from your sins you would also be free from sickness but again the church has broken this into two separate things oh you can be forgiven of your sins but healing that's you can't claim healing Jesus didn't heal everybody and they come up with all of these things and they have separated the two and made salvation only forgiveness of sins when the truth is the Bible Jesus the representative of God the one who showed us God perfectly he did not make that stinking you get free of sins you should be a free of sickness free of oppression free of poverty all of those things are included in salvation and it says in verse 6 but there were certain of the scribes and Pharisees their reasoning in their hearts why did this man thus speak blasphemies who can forgive sins but God only and immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves he said unto them why reason you these things in your hearts whether is easier to say to the sick of the palsy thy sins be forgiven the art to say arise take up thy bed and walk so which is easiest to say let's not just talk about what's the easiest to do let's say which is the easiest to say it's actually easier to say your sins be forgiven you than it is to say rise up take up thy bed and walk you know why because you can't see if a sin was forgiven there would be no way to discern whether it did or didn't happen but if you say rise up and walk immediately you're gonna be able to see did it work or were these just words that he said so as far as which is easier to say it would be easier to say your sins be forgiven you then it would be to say be healed because there wouldn't be any physical way to prove whether they were forgiven of sins but immediately you could see if they were healed or not so he says which is easiest to say and then he turned to the sick of the palsy and he said I say unto thee arise take up thy bed and go thy way into thy house and immediately he arose took up the bed and went forth before them all in so much that they were all amazed and glorified God saying we never saw it on this fashion Jesus used physical healing to prove that if he could do that which is the hardest to say if he could manifest a physical healing and see people healed and that would be proof that he could also forgive sins and again our churches today by and large are not demonstrating the power of god with miracles and signs and and they don't see this happen today and because of it there's a lot of people that it's not that they totally reject what they say but they just at the very best they just push it off for the future that this is all about heaven it's not gonna help me right now and I'm so focused on trying to muddle through and make it through this existence that I'm in that I haven't got time to deal with heaven right now I'll do that before I die but right now I'm focused on this see that's because we aren't preaching that Jesus is here to heal your body also to prosper you to deliver you to give you an abundant life and so most people kick the can down the road and just think about I'll try and deal with this before I die but if we were preaching and demonstrating the power of the gospel the way that Jesus did right here then people would recognize that man if he can do this if Jesus could raise a person from the dead if he could raise them up out of a wheelchair if cancer can be healed if blind eyes can be open if Jesus can do this well then everything else that he said is true and they would believe on the Lord for salvation and they would take care of their eternity but because they are recognizing the power of God in the present right now but see the church as a whole has not been doing this if you were to send the average sick person to the average Church and they were to come in and say you know I'm sick the doctor says I'm dying would you please pray for me the average pastor would say we'll go to the doctor get some treatment I'll help you here maybe we can find some insurance now and they would send them to the world system and yet when Jesus disciples were unable to heal the boy who had these seizures in Matthew chapter 17 Jesus responded to them by saying you faithless and perverse generation how long am I gonna be with you how long am I gonna suffer you bring him unto me and Jesus cast that spirit out he was not pleased with his disciples inability to meet the needs of people Jesus did not come to only forgive you of your sins so that when you you would go to heaven as great as that is and again I am not taking a single thing away from that but it is much more than that Jesus came to heal your body God wants you well Jesus wants you well he wants you to prosper he wants you to have an abundant life it says in John chapter 10 verse 10 that the thief talking about the devil comes only to steal kill and to destroy but I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly Jesus came to give us an abundant life not only in the world to come but it says in Galatians 1:4 that verse that I've already used he came to deliver us from this present evil world Jesus told us to pray thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven in heaven there is no sickness there's no sadness there's no defeat there is victory there is joy there is peace Jesus wants you well he not only can make you well he wants you well he wants you well more than you want to be well and I know some huh Peter said well if that soul well then why am i sick why am I still suffering that's what this entire series is going to be about and as I said at the beginning of the program this might be a marathon series because I want to play these DVDs that show you miraculous things I mean people raised from the dead people brought back to life great things happening things that in the natural it could not have happening yet we have seen it happen our media department has verified it and today Jesus is still doing miracles the same as he did in the Bible times man that is powerful and I know that there's people that have been taught to disbelieve this and say this cannot be true and did you know there is some desire on people's part not to believe this is true because if you start believing that it's God's will for you to be well that God wants you to prosper and be above only and not beneath then you know what that's risky because not everybody's gonna receive healing not because it's not God's will but because everybody believes not everybody cooperates with God I'm gonna be teaching you things throughout this series they're just an abundance of things about reasons why people aren't healed and how you can change that and how you can receive this but when you start believing it's God's will to be healed there is the potential for disappointment and there are some people that rather than run the risk and start saying all right I'm gonna start believing god I'm gonna renew my mind I'm gonna receive the things that I need there are some people that would rather stay in their wheelchair they would rather stay sick than run the risk of possible failure and I am NOT saying that just off the top of my head I could give you physical examples of people in wheelchairs who fought me took their crutch and said God wants them to be this way that they were not going to take a chance of believing God I've got a lot of stories about this so anyway I've got a
