God Showed me this IMPORTANT Lesson About Testing This Morning That I Want to Share With You...

what's up y'all so i actually had a totally other video that was scheduled to actually go out today but something happened to me this morning that i just felt like i needed to speak to as it relates to god's testing in our lives and so i just want to speak to that so this morning uh somebody who was very very near and dear to me asked me to help them with something this afternoon and so my initial reaction was man this is my off day i'm tired i've worked all week like i don't necessarily really want to do this and so my response was yes sure i'll help but then after that i added on this statement and i said man this was my off day and i was really trying to relax today but i'll come over and help and you know whenever i said that immediately right then and there the holy spirit brought back philippians chapter two don't look out for your own interest but look out for the interest of others and that's why it is so critical you all for you all to know the word of god for yourself because whenever you fall short whenever you fail a test then the holy spirit will bring back that scripture to your remembrance and immediately convict you and i was immediately convicted because what i did was i said to this person hey i'll help you but i really don't feel like doing it or you're asking me to help is a burden for me or it's something that is going to cost me some time and that's making that other person feel as though they should not have asked right and they probably already didn't want to ask but the fact that they had to ask and then they had to feel like they were a burden just made it all the worse and so what's the point what did god show me god showed me that that was a test that was a test that god had shown me because you may not know this but one of the things that i struggle with so much is being selfish i am by nature a selfish person and so god is showing me in my marriage and in my relationship with other people that i need to be more like christ i need to be selfless and so sometimes whenever you think you've kind of overcome something right then what happens is god shows you it puts a test in front of you and whenever you fail that test it's a reminder that you are not where you thought you would be you're not where you should be and so my point in this video you all is i don't know what tests you might be facing today but thank god for the test because whenever god tests you or allows you to be tested and you fail that test thank god for that because that is a reminder to you to let you know that you still have work to do so whether that is in your relationship with your spouse and you say something that you should not have said and immediately the holy spirit convicts you or maybe it's a website that you shouldn't be looking at and you go to that website and you're like man i shouldn't be looking at that or maybe you're in a relationship with somebody and you know you shouldn't be spending the night over there or you shouldn't be having uh inappropriate interactions with that person physically or whatever and so you might think man i'm over this i don't struggle with this i've made progress but whenever you are tested with something that is often times whenever you and i are reminded as to how much progress or lack thereof that we've made in a particular area so i want to encourage you to thank god for whatever test that he's putting in front of you now the question that i really want to address here is what do you do when you fail the test right what do you do because if you're not careful the enemy will do a mind game on you he'll do he'll have a field day with your mind and he will try to get you to uh go down this road of condemnation and shame to where you were like man i blew it again i looked at that website again you know i ended up having a relationship physically intimately with this person i'm not married to i shouldn't have done it or man you know i spoke to my children or spoke to my wife or i had a certain tone of voice with my husband i disrespected him or whatever and if you're not careful my friends the enemy will cause you to go down a road where he is beating you up where you're feeling uh worthless where you're feeling like god is disappointed with you and all these different things and listen that is how the enemy wants to cause you to be immobile to where he wants you to go down this path for the next two days you're beating yourself up whenever you fail in any sort of temptation or any test that god has for you get right back up repent to god also if you've offended somebody else apologize to them ask for forgiveness accept it don't make excuses for it don't try to justify it don't try to rationalize it don't try to sweep it under the rug man up woman up and just accept your responsibility in it embrace that and then just move forward in christ listen nowhere in the bible does it say whenever you and i have failed god that we have to put some sort of buffer time between our buffer space if you will between us and god to where we can't pray we can't study the word of god we can't worship we can't serve god we're not worthy to share our faith with other people or whatever that's the enemy trying to tell you that you aren't worthy to do any of those things god doesn't require any of that he just says when you sin confess your sins and if you do he says he is faithful and just to forgive you of all your sin and cleanse you of all unrighteousness so i don't know who this is for like i said i have a i had a whole another video out there that i was going to put out today maybe i'll release it tomorrow i don't know but i really want to encourage you today that whenever you are being tested in an area of weakness in your life thank god for those tests because that is god's way of saying i'm not through with you i still want to refine you and my friends it is a beautiful gift that god has given you to remind you that if you start to think that you are further down the line than you actually are every test that god puts in your in your space is simply a way for you to assess how much further you need to go to be more and more like christ and not if but when you fail accept the free gift of forgiveness that god has for you get back up get back on the horse don't feel like you have to separate yourself from god rebuke that that is a negative thought from the enemy get right back at it and continue to serve god so i hope that was helpful for somebody today um and i'll release the video that i had today either
