GM 13.4" Infotainment Screen Full Tour | Google Assistant Built In!

so here we have the new infotainment system found in the 2022 and newer chevy silverado 1500s now this is the 13.4 inch uh widescreen infotainment system and i just want to give you guys a quick tour around the infotainment system so hopefully you guys can better understand how certain features work here in the silverado so starting out here is the radio screen now this is kind of the screen that comes up here when you just turn on the vehicle and again want to access some media information now you can access this page right here by clicking the little music symbol here on the left side and again this will bring up your infotainment radio screen now up in the left hand side you can change the inputs between am fm xm bluetooth you can also use the google podcast which is integrated into the infotainment system itself since this is now integrating google's software into this infotainment as well as your usb here all in this source selection up at the top here now of course we have your channel toggles here on the bottom as well as your play pause rewind your live button if you are rewinding want to fast forward to the live version of the channel we have your album art of course you can search by genres sports news talk everything like that so this kind of lets you filter um down here right below the uh channel art now here at the bottom this is where you want to put your presets if you guys want to hold and set a preset for example we'll go to channel 50. hold it for about three seconds and it'll go ahead and pop up there for a preset now you can just go ahead and override that on any of these already preset ones but again holding for about three seconds and it'll override that preset for you now you can air over i believe this lets you have like 15. looks like 10 presets are available here on this infotainment screen um so that's a good amount you know not as many as some other cars but that is a good amount to get started now up here you have some settings you can access in terms of the equalizer fade balance and you can ma manage your favorites again up here on the right hand corner as well as there is a profile badge which allows you to change some of your serious xm settings which looks like allows you to access your trial and subscription status get help and support manage some of your system settings and everything like that all up in this corner up in this profile now moving on we do have your home button here down in the left hand corner which brings up all the tiles you can access here on this truck of course we have your audio we have google maps integration which again you can see here on the right hand side of the screen so we can go ahead and open that up to full screen and again it will position you and this is google maps so you can go ahead and use anything that you'll find on google maps app you can access here right from the trucks infotainment screen including the voice commands so that is pretty cool we'll go ahead and demonstrate one here for you guys find pizza huts you know go ahead and find whatever your command is you can go ahead and select which location you would like one and you can go ahead and navigate straight to that location you just searched so google maps google integration super nice to have in this truck and again you can split screen uh here on the right hand side just by scrolling up and down everything like that so you can also access your phone menu which can be a bluetooth and go ahead and manage your phones simply by adding a phone right there going on your phone connecting the two together pretty easy to do access the cameras on the truck now this does have the 360 degree cameras toggle front and back you have your hood top down top rear you have your two side angles front and back you have your hitch mounted camera again you can access those all from here as well as your trailer towing guidance lines are right there so we also have your google assistant tile again brings up the voice commands which you don't need to do right now and you can also access the play store by signing into your google play account and accessing i guess certain apps that are android auto based here directly from the infotainment so again great to see of course we do have wired and wireless android auto and apple carplay both on this infotainment access trailering you can add all your trailer information from the screen i'm not going to go ahead and do that because i don't have any trailer hooked up access your climate screens also down below here are the hard climate controls you can access here on both controls which is nice to have redundant uh controls for everything you have your vehicle and infotainment settings up here now i believe this does have over the year updates which you can access right here which is great to see over there updates here in infotainment systems nowadays this does have 4g lte connectivity as far as i'm aware i do not believe this is 5g connectivity here on this infotainment screen it does have 4g lte you can access some of your vehicle uh systems a ton of different customization options here on the new gm infotainment screens including buckle to drive which you can toggle on and off right here so you don't have to buckle your seatbelt just to put the vehicle in gear a bunch of climate controls you know you can access your teen driver settings it's what teens can and can't do with certain key fobs you have seating positions for entry and exit operations of the power driver seat you can do remote start cooled invented seats heated seats you can control the windows from the remote which is great i always like that you need to air out the vehicle in a hot day just a bunch of stuff you can do here in the vehicle settings um you can also access your connections for your wife's your wi-fi and phone settings so moving on we have your wi-fi hotspot settings again this allows you to connect your phone to the onboard 4g lte hotspot here that the truck provides access your my shuffle light screen [Music] again we can't access my chevrolet because this truck is not quite set up yet we do have your google news so again this integrates google news app onto the infotainment screen itself so you can access all that kind of stuff once you are signed into your google account and lastly we have the podcast again which uses your google account and you can save find and browse podcasts straight from the infotainment screen which is great so on the left side you basically have some redundant controls from what i just went over and all these tiles i believe you can go ahead and change out these here on the left side just by holding and dragging and placing it right there so you can basically swap out any of these tiles that are available right here and go ahead and do quick four quick accesses here on the left side and replace these with whatever you would like for personal customization now of course up at the top of the screen we have your uh location your temperature outside as well as your current time pretty basic stuff and everything like that so once again you can use the google assistant to find what's today's weather today in milan there'll be scattered showers with a forecasted high of 53 and a low of 43. currently it's 51 degrees and sunny so yeah you can do just about anything the google assistant can do right from the infotainment screen on this truck so it is a very nice system a huge update to the silverado and i believe the tahoes have this uh version as well i can't wait to see other products with the google integration because i'm a huge fan i am an android user myself so i'm having wireless android auto a nice big hd screen split screen capabilities with google maps or any other stuff you'd like here on the right side is a super nice feature to have so uh it's great to see this new infotainment here in the 2022 silverado let me know down below if you
