Glimmerbrook [And Magic Realm] World Secrets And Features | The Sims 4 Guide

let's dive into the world of glimmerbrook as well as the associated magic realm and look at everything that they offer and note that this world comes with the realm of magic gang pack we will start out next to the bar lot in glimmerbrook which has a concrete area surrounding it from here two dirt Pathways lead out in the same general direction yes interesting World planning also one of the paths had some pink mushrooms along it which are very cute now these lead to another small lot off of the world's Main Road and it's bordered by a rather pretty stream one way across is a beautiful and kind of magical looking bridge and there's a fishing spot close by to it if instead of going over the bridge you walk along the water then there's a small bench that you can sit at and further down the stream is a fishing location before you eventually come across a shallow section in the river that your Sims are able to travel across should they for some reason not feel like crossing the bridge some Sims make strange choices and to their that's okay once you're on the other side of the stream you'll see a few more Lots framing a central kind of Woodland area it's rather nice and in general glimmer Brook really does give a remote Woodlands kind of vibe somewhat similar to Granite Falls it's an option for camping if you have access to tents and from my experience there are usually quite a few places to dig in the area so it can be good for Collectibles while sometimes I found these to be rocks that stick out of the ground I often found them to be dirt piles like camouflage rather well with the ground you know those dirt piles can be rather sneaky it's worth noting that you can occasionally find some random plants around the world as well now nearby the Western lot you'll see a path that extends to the Northwest and if you follow this path you'll eventually reach a very fancy yes fancy looking bottle and if you enter this then you'll wind up at the magic realm but before we jump into that portal let's have a look at glimmer Brook at night with the many Street lanterns or lights giving the world a rather gorgeous glow don't get me wrong with just 5 lots and a kind of empty feel this world isn't anything amazing but I do feel like the magic realm kind of makes up for it as promised let's take a look around to the magic realm now and you do know that this world can be entered into by any Sim whether they are a spellcaster or not the magic realm can also be broken out into four different areas and we are going to start in the large middle area first you'll enter at the central portal and nearby you'll see some steps heading down to another portal that leads to the gardens there is also a pathway that leads down to a small grassy area where you can find a mandrake plant and if you follow the path a little bit then it will eventually lead to a portal that takes you to Caster's alley now back to the initial portal that you entered in through and straight away you'll notice a large building in front of you and this is actually editable if you import the bb.enable free BLT so do know that this is literally like a hidden lot that you can tweak and change as you wish out the back of this lot runs another stream with a fishing spot along the river's Shore and there's a bridge across it that matches the one in glimmerbrook and it leads to another portal this time to the Dueling Grounds the drooling grounds themselves are rather boring like they look very cool and magical but really it's just an open space spellcasters can have jewels here and if you choose for them to duel at the Dueling Grounds then they will come and travel here to cast their spells and battle it out heading over to Caster's alley now and in my opinion this is one of the most useful places in the game mainly because there are three stores here that you can buy various things from note that shop stock does change from day to day one store lets you buy wands magical tomes that can teach your spellcaster sim spells and familiars for your spellcaster seems to bind and use it is very handy for spellcasters but not so handy for your everyday Sim then you have a second store that sells brooms for your spellcaster Sims and also a range of crystals and it can be one of the easiest ways to buy some crystals easily with an infinite Supply finally you have what I believe to be the most useful store for all Sims and it sells a wide range of items what goes on sale here is rather random with the key link being that they are all used in magical potions from produce to fish and even metals and my sim trophies whether you're making potions or you're a collector this can be a super handy store to browse through and see if you can find any Collectibles that you're missing sometimes you can even buy a dragon fruit here which is one of the best plants for money making in addition the store will sell potions of perk purging which spellcasters can use to reset their spellcaster perk points and reallocate them as they wish I also find Caster's alley to just be a cute spot that feels very similar to Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and I like having my spellcaster Sims take a few photos here as well and now the final spot within the magic realm is the gardens there are a lot of plants that you can Harvest here including a cherry apple and a lemon tree Mandrake and Valerian and even a potato plant there's also usually some frogs that you can look for too and a fishing spot if fishing is your thing in addition you'll find a gorgeous magical greenhouse-like structure that is really pretty and once again great for a photo moment but don't get too excited because sadly it's not interactable and with that we're at the end that's a look at
