Moonwood Mill Secrets And Features | The Sims 4 Guide

who knew that a world based on an abandoned lumberyard could be so good we're going to look at everything the moonwood mill world has to offer including all of its secrets and features of which there are quite a few you will need the werewolves game pack for access to this world and my only real criticism is that there's only 5 lots it really should be a crime to have only 5 lots in a world but that's another story firstly know that werewolves who have the scavenger ability can scavenge the ground in moonwood mill and by doing so they can dig up moonwood relics and werewolf books among other things but the relics and the werewolf books can only be found in this world reading werewolf books a few times will unlock the lunar epiphany dormant ability and from then on out you can discover some cool secrets while reading these books that can tie in with the world and you'll also be able to decipher moonwood relics that you find which can provide some fun bits of information too we're going to start off beneath the stream around the prowess patch residential lot to the south of this lot there's some wolf's main that you can harvest and to the north there's an interesting area near the stream here you'll find the portal potties i know what you're thinking and no they are not a woohoo location they're one part of the underground tunnel network in moonwood mill these tunnels can be explored allowing you to find collectibles and random objects through text journeys you can also find out how the tunnels are linked which will then allow you to fast travel between the various entrances which i will call out as we come across them if you have a werewolf then the night vision ability will help with exploration and if you have the diary of gregorius lundvic or the history of moonwood mill book then reading either of these can see you discover more secrets about the tunnels i believe the benefit here is that if you follow the magical melody in the tech space journey then after discovering information from the book you'll be given a howl with the moon music option while this does have a cool down the option can help you find a bit more during your tunnel explorations another quick thing to note is that you can purchase the moonwood mill tunnel entrance object which you can then use to explore tunnels too this is very seamless when used inside moonwood mill and there is even one location in the bunker at the grim truth bar but if it's used from outside of moonwood mill then note that the object will take you to moonwood mill also near the portal potties there's a little spot where you can fish out in the stream and it's worth noting that you can catch werewolf books and moonwood relics while fishing in moonwood mill near the portal potties you'll also see what i'm going to call dirt of interest and it's this patch of dirt that is the sparring grounds in the world if you challenge another werewolf to a spar at the sparring grounds then this is where they will go to battle it out also know that spas are different to rules and a spar won't make the werewolf you spar with hate you now east of the prowess patch you'll see a notice board this will provide some general information for your hot self to read should you want to including that about the werewolf packs in the world there's also a lunar dial which hovering over will tell you what the current moon phase is if you keep heading to the east of this then you'll come across a hangout space centered around a bonfire and a small building with a workout machine nearby too because werewolves apparently love going to the gym this is where the wild fangs pack are based rory oaklow is the fearless leader and she'll often be hanging out here living her best life to join the pack you'll need to befriend her and pass three trials the wildfangs really do embrace all aspects of being a werewolf including the more dangerous or scary parts of it if you join the pack then the small building acts as the packs face north of the wild fangs hangout is a toilet because we don't have time to be holding it in and if you head south then you'll come across a sewer gate which is another one of the tunnel entrances that can be explored and traveled through now we're going to head across the river to the northern part of the world there are two bridges that lead here one being towards the west and another in the east we're going to head across the eastern bridge and once you're across then tucked away to the side there's a ground level bunker which is the third entrance to the tunnels that can be explored if you head north west from here then there's a small playground that's rather cute and north of this there are two planters which will eventually become a nice little garden as you continue to play in the world you know we're here for the free produce now a little further up from this is where the moonwood collective werewolf pack has their hangout the leader is christopher volkov who you will need to befriend and pass trials with if you want to join unlike the wild fangs this werewolf pack is focused on being the most civilized werewolves ever aiming to control their fury and not cause chaos for regular sims the area resembles a small picnic space with the large tree being the base that you can use to locate christopher it should be noted that if you become a pack leader with alpha rank then you can customize the tree choosing to make it neutral or more dangerous looking rather than the friendly look that it has by default the saying can be said for the small building that acts as the wild fang's face now to the west of this hangout you'll notice a huge mountain and you can very easily climb through the base up to the top of it this is where moonpetal is located the plant is only harvestable during a full moon from 7 pm and harvesting it once will give you three moon petals what is this used for well if a werewolf goes and reads various books you can learn recipes that make use of it i uncovered the moon petal punch recipe from reading the where living magazine and the wolf begone recipe from reading either the diary of gregorius lundvic or the insider's guide to being a werewolf book moon pedal punch requires one moon pedal to make and will slightly lower your werewolf's fury while also helping to clear negative moodlets faster for a few hours the wolf begone drink requires three moon petal and ten wolf spain and drinking it will turn your werewolf back to being a regular sim you can also just eat moon petals straight and it will reset your werewolf's ability points this area is also a howling point and i found when my werewolf visited at around 7pm they would get an inspired moodlet now if we go back down the mountain then just a little to the west you'll see lundvic lake you can fish in the lake and yes here you can catch the lunar fish anecdotally i caught this a lot easier during a full moon but i still managed to catch it outside of it being the full moon by reading werewolf books you can discover the grilled luna fish recipe and personally i learnt this from the history of moonwood mill book grilling and eating this will provide an energized moodlet for six hours you can also swim in lanvik lake and during a full moon it will actually shimmer yes it's very pretty and we do like pretty things one thing that's rather interesting is that sometimes werewolf offspring aren't automatically werewolves and they'll have a chance to be born with a dormant wolf trait in this instance then going for a swim in lunvic lake during a full moon will awaken their inner werewolf and see them transform into one for good now if you follow the path from landvick lake to the west you'll come across more wolf spain that can be harvested before you then see a bunch of signs saying keep out obviously we're going to keep going this is where greg lives who is a highly aggressive werewolf that will likely appear and attack you if you're around sims who head to this area will automatically get a scared moodlet while other werewolves who venture here will become tense also know that if you send your sim here and greg attacks them then they can be left with werebees this is easily cured by sleeping it off vomiting it out cleansing it in a shower or jumping on the treadmill to run it off but if it's not cured then eventually it will lead to your sim becoming a werewolf if you're struggling to cure it then head to the grim truth bar in the world and you can ask the bartender for a cure also while greg does have a little home it isn't really interactable finally backtracking a bit the path back east of greg's house and south of the giant mountain is where the second bridge across the
