we can overcome these situations we are being faced with overwhelming challenges challenges that are making us think of giving up there are some things we should never stress ourselves over there are some things that are not ours to sort out there are some things that we need to look at and pass to who has the power to take care of them for us people are trying to pull you down they are planning everything they can just to make sure you don't make it in life and you are crying you are trying your best to defeat them this is not what you should be sad about this is not your battle it is the lord's battle anyone who challenges you is challenging god paul was a man of god who performed a lot of miracles people knew paul to be a powerful man by the grace of god he wrote letters and preached the word of god but some people were not happy about him this is to let you know that no matter how good and perfect you are no matter how good you have been to the people around you there are people who will always wish bad on you these people hated poor so much that they wished him dead acts 23 verses 12 to 13 and when it was day certain of the jews banded together and bound themselves under a time we say the three popular words i love you it is very easy to chant anyone could say it any time as it's been said that it is lust until the time of sacrifice comes how many people will be ready to sacrifice anything to help their loved ones this is what jesus was telling his disciples and not just them but us too the verse that proceeds 13 says my command is this love each other as i have loved you it's a simple command love others as jesus loved you how did jesus love you what did he do to show his love for you romans 5 verse 8 but god demonstrates his love for us in this while we know is that we cannot fight the spiritual warfare ourselves we must allow god to handle every battle of our lives the bible says in ephesians 6 12 that for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms many things that we see here on earth and things that happen are not just ordinary the truth is that many of these things are beyond the physical not everyone can see this because not everyone's eyes are being opened to see in the spirit realm elisha and his servant were surrounded by soldiers alicia's servant couldn't see what elisha was seeing he couldn't see in the spiritual realm and then elisha prayed second kings verse 17 and elisha prayed open his eyes lord so that he may see then the lord opened the servant's eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around elisha after god opened his eyes he saw that god is handling the situation already i pray that every situation that is causing problems for us god will take care of them for us we cannot fight these battles ourselves we must allow god to do his work we must surrender everything to him the spiritual warfare is greater than what we think we can handle it is only god who can handle them why should we be running everywhere because we are being about the battles because the lord will handle them for you what we need in this life is the ability to see beyond the physical what we are facing in this life is not natural they are breathed or inspired by the dark forces ephesians 6 verse 12 is telling us to redirect our prayer to change our target for our struggle is not against flesh and blood flesh and blood according to the scriptures mean man man is not the problem they are easy to deal with the actions of man are always inspired by a spirit that spirit is what we should focus on not the man the man is just a distraction the fight the christian fight which is the real fight is against the forces that are hidden in the dark to make christians fool fighting these powers these rulers and the forces we need a power that is above all of them there is no way that these powers will not strike at any point in our lives we can't avoid them but we can be sure that the lord will fight them for us they might be strong but greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world what then is this message telling us to do it means we must cast our cares on the lord psalm 55 verse 22 cast your cares on the lord and he will sustain you he will never let the righteous be shaken this should be happy news to us we have problems and things bothering us imagine the debt we are in someone comes in and promises to pay them not only making promises but help in paying the debt we will be happy that someone could take the burden on himself and clear the debt in this same manner jesus came in and told us to come to him with our burden this is something we don't hear from people it will surely make us happy in matthew 11 28 jesus said come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and i will give you rest the promise of jesus is not one that will fail in any way we have things bothering us some things are giving us concern and making us worry the psalmist says cast your cares upon the lord our cares the things that we care about the things we are afraid of losing the things that we are in desperate need of and the disturbing situations we find ourselves in our cares very and it is unlimited all these things are what we need to take to god it is already written that we shouldn't worry too much it is not ours to worry we should just tell god everything and then he takes over matthew 6 34 therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself each day has enough trouble of its own we can stop worrying about tomorrow or what will happen tomorrow only if we cast our cares on the lord god is sustaining us in different ways god could sustain us spiritually or physically there are battles that we fight in this life they are not physical this is when we need god to sustain us spiritually we need the power to face the dark forces that want to bring us down that want to fail in this christian journey these battles could make us worry what makes us worry is the outcomes of the battle they manifest in the physical if god has promised that he will sustain us then why do we have to worry about overcoming these battles why do we have to worry about becoming a victor when god has declared us a victor already strengthen your spirit in the last days jesus gave us specific instructions on what we should do and we can see these instructions in revelation 3. this is not a time for a child of god to have a weak spirit the lord wants you to have a strong spirit he wants you to strengthen your spirit we are in a world where everything happening will want to weaken you the way things are designed now is to weaken us spiritually but jesus is telling you that you must wake up strengthen your spirit revelations 3 verse 2 be watchful and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die for i have not found thy works perfect before god jesus told us to do this in the book of revelation as we know the book of revelation focuses on the end of days and as we all know we are living in them now we must obey the words of christ for these last days in these last days jesus wants you to strengthen your spirit be watchful and strengthen the things which remain your natural body won't remain but your spirit will i'm not saying to exercise no i encourage working out exercise and stay healthy but the emphasis for every child of god the emphasis for every christian should not be on your natural body but on your spirit revelations 3 verse 2 be watchful and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die for i have not found thy works perfect before god this is the word of the lord to you today wake up strengthen your spirit and refuse to be beaten down by the devil satan isaiah 60 verse 1 arise shine for thy light has come and the glory of the lord is risen upon thee we want to strengthen our spirit we want to be able to stand against the scheme of the devil we want to be able to stand out and tell the devil that we are for christ we are in christ we are with christ we want to have the strength to say to the devil that if the whole world is doing bad things we will do the right thing we want to be strong in spirit just like jesus has charged us why does jesus want us to have strong spirits it is simple he knows the things that are coming upon the earth and the bible didn't sugarcoat it look at this verse 2 timothy 3 verse 1 this also know that in the last days perilous times shall come the adjective perilous comes from the latin word curriculum meaning dangerous words from the same root include peril a noun meaning a dangerous situation and imperil a verb meaning to put in danger so in other words you can say the last days are dangerous times that is why jesus has given us the exaltation to strengthen our spirits and if you do not take the time to ensure your spirit is strengthened you are in direct disobedience of the instructions of jesus how can we strengthen our spirit what are the things that must be our practice so that we can be strong and never be beaten down the first method is have a closer relationship with god the first secret to having a strong spirit is by moving closer to god god is the source of all strength god is the source of all life god is the source of all existence nothing can be in existence without god the bible says even before anything was there he was there you cannot be with god and you remain weak when you are with god the strength of god radiates in your spirit it is like an energy transfer you receive from god all day and you are strengthened when you say that god should renew your spirit you must play your part by moving closer to him we have many christians who want to be strong there are even many people that are not christian but they yet admire the kind of spirit the children of god have and they desire to have it too i am telling you that if you belong to any of these two categories you must have a closer relationship with god the only source of true strength is god we need to start considering moving closer to god today i want you to check your life are you closer to god how you were the joy that was in you when you first accepted christ is it still on you the love you have for the things of god is it still in you jesus is telling you to go back to that first love as if you lost it revelation 2 verse 4 nevertheless i have somewhat against thee because thou has left thy first love seek god seek his face developing a relationship with god is not cheap it's not easy jeremiah 29 13 and ye shall seek me and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart to find god you will have to go through everything you've got so how do we move closer to god read the word of god daily there is something special about the word of god it makes you feel god in you it gets you closer to god through the holy spirit ministering to you the word of god is far more than reading the bible it is not enough to read the bible you must download the word into your spirit you must let the word dwell in you the word of god must be so much a part of you that as you live your daily life your first thought in every situation must be birthed from god's word in every situation you will face in life there is an answer for you in this bible when you take the word and you put it in your spirit the word of god now lives in you and you get closer to god stop reading the bible just because you feel you should read it as a christian read it because you want to be the doer of the word james 1 verse 22 but be ye doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves your spirit will only be strengthened when you begin to practice out of the word of god when you begin to do what the word of god says it is not enough to have head knowledge of the word of god you must be a doer of the word for instance the bible says pray continually we must never stop praying we must stay in the place of prayer prayer makes us conscious in spirit it strengthens us to fight hard when we pray with all our minds in it what we are doing is that we are energizing our spirit to be ready to fight any attack that might come from our enemies there is no way we can take prayer from our lives as christians that's what we have to fight even if god gives us power to fight we cannot just sit and believe that this power will work we must go into prayer we must go into the battlefield to make us of that power that we have been given this is the time to start praying earnestly and without failing you must pray the prayer of david it is important to pray these prayers every day they are prayers that strengthen your spirit psalm 51 verse 10 create me a clean heart oh god and renew a right spirit within me the word of god has instructions as to how we can strengthen our spirits but we have to acquire the knowledge and then act on that knowledge in order for us to strengthen our spirit and finally run away from sin i will not take away the fact that the number one thing that weakens your spirit is sin sin will leave you open to the devil to attack and i must tell you the truth he will succeed sin will make you weak in the last days wake up and run from sin sin is nothing for you to play with you do not play with sin it is like bathing yourself with a flammable liquid beside a fire you will get burnt you must run from sin it will cause great havoc in your life when sin is present in your life the devil will use the opportunity to send demons into your life the bible says that you should guard your heart why because it must be free from sin proverbs 4 23 keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life what should be your number one goal as a christian is to strengthen your spirit if you are weak you might fall pray that god strengthens you and makes you continue on the right path god bless you the secret to a great life many people are living in defeated lives lives that god didn't create for them because they do not understand the secret to living a great life as god planned for them in his blueprint for their lives today's teaching is not in any way to demean anyone or to make you feel insulted rather it aims as opening you up to who you really are in christ and also place at your fingertips the secret to living a great life i strongly believe that our lives will be transformed as we look into the mirror of god's word to discover the secret to living a great life what is the number one secret to a great life total obedience to the word of god proverbs 13 verse 13 to 15 whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded the law of the wise is a fountain of life to depart from the snares of death good understanding give us favor but the way of transgressors is hard if you ever want to be great as a believer you must never despise the word of god true greatness is measured first of all by your degree of conformity to the word of god solomon in his wisdom said that anyone who despises the word of god will be destroyed this means that neglecting to obey the word of god is the same as walking in the path of destruction if you choose to become great outside of god's standard for achieving greatness you will end up in destruction and shame solomon added that those who fear god's commandments shall be rewarded the reward for obeying the laws of god is greatness do you know that the word of god contains all that you need to live a successful life on earth there is virtually no area of our lives that the word of god does not make provision for the law of god is the fountain of life a good understanding of it grants favor but the way of transgressors is hard transgressing the laws of god creates a hard life for yourself the truth is some of the difficult situations we find ourselves in are not because life is so unfair or because of bad breaks but it is simply because of us not obeying god's law one of the bible's passages that directly connects our obedience to god's word to our success and greatness is joshua 1 verse 8 which says this book of the lord shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success the first lesson this passage teaches is that no one is exempted from the law of god if they want to be successful if joshua will be able to lead the people of god as a warrior he needed to study meditate and practice the word of god we are not only to study and meditate on the word of god we are to observe to do all that is written in it it is then that we can make our ways prosperous and have good success that passage does not say that it is god that will make us prosperous what we need to become great has already been provided in the word of god it is as we study it meditate on it and practice it
