hey everyone today I'm gonna show you how to get internet and gns3 so I opened up gns3 here I started a new project what you're gonna do is you're gonna drag NAT and I'm gonna run it on my PC you're gonna take this VC PC and I'm gonna run it also on Amanda PC and then I'm gonna look for routers and I'm gonna choose Cisco how are you which is running on Linux I've tried c7 200 it's been buggy I tried the Cisco - 600 that's also buggy the 1000 V that has a rate limit so you need a license so I've had the most success with the Cisco I so I'm gonna start these two and then hook everything up so Ethernet 0 0 - the V PC and then user net1 1 2 and that cloud I'm open up the console all right and for the IP addresses I'm just gonna use one 92168 1.5 for this interface of 0/0 I'm gonna use 1.1 and over here we're going to use DHCP all right so I'm going to do i p 192 168 1.5 24 and then set the default gateway and that should be good and then if I go to the just go around here I'm gonna go cop T and face easy 0/0 get dress and I'm gonna do IP NAT inside I dunno shut I'm gonna exit and then I'm gonna do an access list of 9 permit of that internal IP address and then use wildcard bits for an access list and then I'm gonna do IP NAT source list 9 interface Ethernet 1 over 1 where we're getting internet 1 and then I do overload and then I'm gonna go into the actual either not 1:1 interface of the new IP address DHCP IP NAT outside and then I'm gonna do no shut so we're going to see that the Ethernet one one is up but if we wait a little longer we're going to see that we get an IP address yep so we got one 92168 200 dot 1 4 or 5 and what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna do ping 8.8.8.8 we get a ping from the router and then we need to check the PC so first I'm gonna ping the default gateway which we get and then I'm gonna ping the internet which we get and it's around you know 28 22 23 if you use the C 7 200 it's gonna be you know 100 150 timeouts duplicate back Oh speaking that I've gotten duplicate packets when using either this or that or the generic switch yeah this Ethernet switch right here so I highly recommend using the Cisco I are you running on Linux for virtualization why are you gonna be running into two packets so yep this is these are the commands to get Internet all right
